Be careful!

Be careful!
You get charged a resort fee of $35 + tax per night for resort facilities we never used (phone, toll free numbers, WiFi, the printer and the gym). This thing doesn t exist in Australia and it never will. We paid more for the resort fee per night than we did the actual accommodation and were told when we questioned it at check in that if we didn t pay it we couldn t check in. How does that even work if we ve already paid for the room itself? So they take your money to book your room then refuse to let you stay unless you pay more - not towards the room you ve already paid for but for the internet.... who in their right mind would pay $35+ USD which is like $50 Aussie dollars for internet each day? What a farce!!

So there s all this extra money they make each night yet our room had a few broken things in it. Tile cracked/missing, a tear on the quilt and in the bath there was the water limiter sitting in the bath - it had fallen out of its place.

The elevators in the building felt very unsettling, I did enjoy that they went diagonally, however they looked run down and in major need of maintenance. In one elevator the side near the door where the control panel was wasn t attached properly and was flapping about as the elevator was in operation. Another elevator as we descended bumped from side to side and the door swung in and out slightly - I m not even sure how that s possible but it is. There were big dints and scratches in all the lifts as well.

When you looked down from the balcony outside the rooms you could see all rubbish thrown onto the top of the foyer buildings and unfinished work/building materials.

While the buffet was enjoyable for the price there was again noticeable repairs needed. The roof had black marks running down it like water damage, there were dints in the Egyptian style pylons and thick layers of dust.

With all this extra resort fee money they get from every room every single night how can they not afford repairs?? They need someone to come through and highlight all the issues and give it a facelift.

But in saying that if all you want is a bed and shower so you can gamble and hit the strip then this is probably the place for you. Just don t expect much!

We have a had 2 extended weekend stays here and have been impressed with both stays. The rooms are always well presented and clean. The customer service at checkin is efficient and the staff are very helpful. The Luxor is in a great location along the strip. We enjoyed swimming in the extensive pool area. The restaurants and bars are also really good here. One of our favourites in Las Vegas.

Located right next to Mandalay hotel. There's a tram to transport between the hotel and Newyork hotel. There's also monorail near by that help moving easily between hotels. Fast check-out. Buffet and entertainment, also some cheap stores inside. Cheap if stay at lower level (we were offered for upgrading to upper levels for $15 extra per night but we didn't need it).

Rooms were in bad need of update. Carpet was worn out furniture was thread bare, closet looked like it was found at a garage sale chipped up, wall paper peeled, stand for your suitcase chipped up, shower was plugged up, room smelled like a smoky pool hall, up on check in you get told oh ya, you now owe resort fee 5 days at. $197 dollars and oh ya a $200 deposit, floor trams only work half the time same with the escalators. $5.50 FOR small bottle of water, food courts were a RIP off. Wo never stay at the luxor or reccomend it to anyone, worst hotel stay ever

Fancy!

Fancy!
Prices for goods and services are a bit higher than one would hope, but the hotel does have multiple food establishments, a fitness room, many different shows and attractions.

I am not a gambler, so really could not tell you about that. Everywhere we ate within the Luxor was delicious, and the show R.U.N was awesome.

Very large, so expect to walk quite a bit, but this has the bonus of most rooms being away from the main floor (sound privacy).

Due to it being on the Strip, rideshare drivers are always nearby as well, so travel is convenient.

Definitely a nice place to see or stay on a Vegas vacation!

For what you pay, this place is not worth it.

For what you pay, this place is not worth it.

A little over $200/night got us a "corner king suite" which was very underwhelming. Booked two months in advance, and mentioned to them it was our anniversary. Asked if they could get us up high, with a nice view... All we could see was the side of the huge black Luxor towers. Kept the widows closed.

You have to pay $10/night for parking, AND they get you with their tacky "resort fees". Be warned. Don't stay at an MGM property.

I should have listened to the other reviews, and booked elsewhere.

The app is neat, it allows you to skip lines, and never actually have to visit the front desk (check-in, check-out, and even your room key can all be done via the app). That's a plus for some people, and I liked the convenice, and no lines, but it also took away any opportunity for the staff to make us feel welcome.

We visited the front desk anyway, to buy inflated show tickets, and ask about the parking not being free. Neither of the ladies we encountered at the front desk were very polite. The weren't necessarily rude either, but I'd have expected a little more personalization and friendliness.

Egyptian style theme and decor across the hotel. The rooms in the incline section are at premium but in great demand. Even if you reserve them they may not be available when you check in. Same happened to me so I got a free upgrade to mini suite. Great entertainment and variety of food options available. Really a must visit destination for tourists while in Vegas

Stayed in the Tower suite and overall had a very good stay. The beds could have been a little more comfortable but that's also personal preference. To others they may be perfect. Just a little firm for my liking. Buffet was a little bland, but customer service and cleanliness of the hotel was very good. Overall pleased with my stay.

Room was clean, no fridge which would have been nice. Friendly, helpful staff. Nothing provided in room - coffee, tea, water. Apparently nothing is free in Vegas. If you are picky about shampoo, bring your own. No shower gel either. Most hotels I usually stay at provide all these items and are reasonably good quality. There is a Lush store near by so you can buy what you need. (Room was in east tower). Starbuck's is in the hotel (3 locations). Public House (pub) Good food and service. Only Pepsi products available in the Hotel. If coming from Canada pick up Duty free liquor. 50ml (mini bottles) $6-$13. Some deals in food court if you are on a budget. Tram runs between Luxor, Mandalay Bay and Excalibur which is handy. "Citizens" in Mandalay Bay has good food and service also. Enjoyed the music in the lobby good variety. Overall good place to stay but is pretty much at end of strip (south). Bring good walking shoes. Monorail not far.

I give the Luxor Hotel & Casino located at 3900 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119 FIVE STARS. Was my first time staying at Luxor and I must say it was a great experience. For being a 27 year old Hotel & Casino, it sure has been well kept. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff was so helpful. This place has great food options and lots of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

This building is really awesome. Though in all reality, it is exactly like all the other newer casinos on the inside. Just with a vaulted roof. I far as I could tell it really doesn't have anything more than the other buildings around it.

Stayed here for a week in a Tower One suite and enjoyed our stay. I call it "Suite light" as there were no real amenities other than a fantastic room with a great view. Very large with seperate living room, bedroom, and huge bathroom. Toiletries were minimal and with no housekeeping, there was something off about it.
Luxor's COVID practices were pretty good. Felt fairly safe throughout. Masks on at the pool so face tanning is not going to happen, but again, its safe.
Vegas is a ghost town so while there are no shows, there are plenty of places to gamble with crowds only arriving on weekends.
We would stay at the Luxor again.

Upon arrival I was meet by "Robert" (a bicycle security guard) near the VIP entrance. I explained that I wasn't familiar with where exactly I needed to be as I was in from out of state for a very large tournament being hosted at their location. Robert begin mocking me and my daughters. Humiliating us because we were tourists and insulted us numerous times. I was appalled and disappointed that this behavior from staff would be tolerated. If it wasn't for the fact of being forced to stay at this hotel (by SCVA) I would have left immediately!!! I tried to talk with guest services and complain but unfortunately they did not seem to mind.
Extremely pathetic of a hotel to treat their patrons in this manner. I will definitely make different hotel arrangements next tournament. The staff however at the Mandalay Bay was extremely helpful and friendly showing us to our courts.
On a side note... I was not truly impressed by the conditions of our room. Many amenities that the hotel offer close early and are not usable throughout evening hours

This was a nice place to stay. The room was very nice and had an awesome view of the Excalibur. However, the fridge was very small and it froze all of our food and there was no microwave to heat it back up. Also, 2 out of the 3 pools were blocked off for some reason so the 1 pool that was open was extremely crowded and it was very hard to find any open chairs.

Overall the Luxor gets a solid four stars from me. I had a pyramid room for seven nights and it was very pleasant. The pros were a very large and comfortable bed, great views and excellent availability of restaurants with friendly staff. The room was let down by the terrible shower, which could be easily fixed. The lighting in the rooms could also do with a change, it was lit from both ends but not the middle, very strange. The overall Egypt-like decor is great.

The Luxor is a great place to stay while in Vegas. The rooms are nice with large clean bathrooms (the $20 upgrade to the newer rooms are not worth it). The casino is beautiful with plenty of restaurants and stores. A decent buffet with the best customer service and linked to neighboring casinos means you'll always find something to do!

We arrived at the hotel later in the evening on a Friday night and were checked in quickly and given a free upgrade due to some ongoing construction in the section our room was originally scheduled in. The rooms are nice sized and well kept. One down side was not having a coffee maker in the room and being forced into using the over-priced Starbucks inside the hotel. Not sure if this is a new Vegas trend among hotels or not, but if so, it sucks! #letsguide

We booked online the standard room but they were all already booked so they up-grated to the one of the Pyramid premium queen room and it was super nice!
The hotel is huge and very well located.
Also you have to pay the overnight self parking for $10 but you can park in any parking of the MGM resorts in Vegas.

BEWARE!! Horrible odor. Smells of mildew carpet covered with chemical scent-masking spray. Room/bathroom not clean. Bedding has stains! Dim lighting. Old mattress which should have been changed years ago. Do not stay here if you have a choice!! Prices are surprisingly competitive at MUCH nicer/newer hotels on the strip. Check in was very slow but the person at the desk was really sweet! I am forced to stay here for 3 days due to an event, but will never, ever come back! Beware!

Great sized rooms, lots to do throughout out 3 connected hotels. Almost every staff member I interacted with, from housekeeping to casino manager were genuinely nice, multiple card dealers were incredibly rude not just to me, but the whole table. We left multiple tables solely based on the dealers attitude. C'mon Luxor Casino!!!! get more friendly staff. If it weren't for that I would have given them 5 stars.

Came here recently to see the Blue Man Group show and was pleasantly surprised. It was a fantastic show that is hard to describe. You just need to see it to understand how absolutely awesome it is. As for the hotel, it's still as impressive a structure as it was when I first stayed here twenty years ago. Our experience then was fantastic and the staff seem to be just as friendly and helpful as they were then

The pyramid rooms are really starting to show their age. They are in desperate need of renovation. Peeling paint and wallpaper, rust on the bathroom light fixtures, mold and stains on the curtains, bathroom doors delaminating from moisture and sheetrock doing the same in the bathroom. The room was clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating and the casino didn't smell too much like smoke. It's in a prime location and close to everything. Would I recommend it? Maybe with a facelift. But next time I'll stay in the newly renovated towers.

Worse hotel experience ever. Considering the prices and location of the hotel I expected better customer service and better communication. Luxor allows 3rd parties to advertise their rooms but fail to meet the standards that are set. I called the hotel directly to verify what was on the 3rd party website and the representative confirmed things BUT when we arrived at the hotel it was straight disappointment. No smoking room, no strip view in the pyramid, no adjacent rooms, and now I have an extra charge on my card until I talk to accounting.

The smoke in this hotel is horrible. Our first night we were in the pyramid. If you're afraid of heights don't do it. I literally had to walk my mom to our room with her eyes closed. Our room wasn't great in the pyramid, and they were nice enough to move us to the towers after a compliant. If you're going to stay, go to the newer towers. The pyramid is too close to the casino anyway.

The Luxor is a good hotel & casino at the start of the Las Vegas Strip. It is well connected to the Delano, Mandalay Bay & Excalibur internally, and by trams.

The Luxor has a lot of food options/ restaurants, and a lot of popular shows - the Blueman Group, Carrot Top & R. U. N by Cirque Du Soleil.

The hotel rooms are okay - the bathrooms are average sized, the beds are comfortable, and the room is missing appliances like a microwave & a coffee maker.

All in all, it is a pleasant staying experience

PARKING RIP OFF . Their posted rates are NOT what they charge. Came in on a Wednesday night to dinner and a show. I was expecting to pay $8 for parking, after entering ticket into kiosk, charged me $15. I was there 3 hours. Plus after spending so much at the hotel you would think they would validate some portion of your parking ticket.

There was no special event, game, or concert that would inexplicably raise the fee almost 100%.

Stay away...or expect to pay whatever the hell they want.

First time in Las Vegas so I was ecstatic to stay ...

First time in Las Vegas so I was ecstatic to stay and experience the "strip life". Check it was a breeze , if only check in was close to the main entrance. I almost got lost up escalator, around this corner and on the other side of the building. Mask are required which is very weird. If im at a bar I need mask an can only remove if my glass is to my lip. But I can walk around all day smoking without one. We reserved a suite which was a great price and very spacious. My only issue was the drain im the shower didn't drain at a reasonable time. I had a flood of water I was wading in. I just turned of water mid shower to soap up and to let some water drain, and turn on to rinse. A little disappointed. We also reserved a cabana at the pool and when I called to talk to some about my reservation she told me a check in time. So I woke up early the following day but had to wait because the pool didn't open until later. Please make sure your employees know the correct information they are giving to guest. After returning to the pool to enjoy our cabana we had our own personal person to explain everything including mask and the time the pool closes. We were told as long as we we're in the cabana eating, drinking and smoking we didn't need our mask only while walking around. Mask were not permitted in the pool. About five minutes after another worker walking around with a box of mask came to our cabana to tell us we need mask on, which made no sense, since our server told us the rules... again please make sure all works know what we can an can't do it very confusing for the guests. Overall it was an ok hotel, I've stayed at better.

I've heard some rooms are nice. They also have rooms from 1992 preserved as-is. Know that when there's a big convention in town, the reasonably priced rooms may not have been updated in this century. The view of the back head of the sphinx is a bonus. Also, the funky smell that may or may not be from the sphinxes nether parts.

Celebrated our 23rd Marriage Anniversary at the Luxor Hotel & Casino. Booked over a month ahead for the complete experience. My wife's first time in Las Vegas. I purchased tickets for Chriss Angel's "MindFreak Live" to add to the night out. Of, whom my wife is a major fan. Also, enjoyed the Camelot Hotel which is connected to the Luxor. Totally the best. I had the best sleep EVER!!! The bed was super comfortable and the floor I was on was as quiet as a church house mouse! If you want peace and quiet during your stay away from the hustle and bustle of the casino traffic, I would suggest an east tower suite.
I requested quiet, and they gave me exactly what I needed! The housekeeping staff was absolutely fantastic and serviced my room daily, very accommodating and kind. The front desk staff, not so much but it didn't take away from my experience.(They could however use a bit more training in courtesy)

You get better amenities at a Super 8 for 1/3 the price. No fridge, no coffee maker and a clock radio from the '50's. The blanket was very thin and the heat didn't work even thought it was in the 40's. The buffet made us sick and we ended up getting a refund. The bathroom shows its' age and overall just not what I was hoping for in a hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday

When I stay in Vegas I like staying a couple days on the southern part of the strip and a few more days on the northern end. I've stayed at Luxor a few times and I like that it is on the southern part of the strip and is a good place to stay for a few days. The price is good depending on the time of year you visit and I like staying in the Pyramid Spa Suite while here. The buffet is a fair price for the full day and it's near such casinos as Mandalay Bay, New York, and MGM but a bit more affordable. There is also a small 'mall' shopping area between Luxor and Mandalay and a food court here as well.

I have stayed at the Luxor numerous times for seminars and have always enjoyed it.

The Negative: My one complaint is god forbid you forget to cash in your voucher within 120 days. They will not help you at all. They won t even consider offering you points, even if your staying there and playing there. My voucher was in perfect condition but they won t even try to help you. They claim that these vouchers are equivalent to cash but cash doesn t expire, so that s not 100% accurate. I do understand this was my fault but some free promo would sure keep me gambling in there casino. Which in turn I would be more than willing to put more cash into the machine, most likely giving them more money. But now I m not giving them another dollar. I am more than happy walking to a different casino. Customer service should be there number one priority.

The positive: overshadowed by the negative. Rooms are nice, pretty comfortable and the casino floor is fairly easy to navigate. At least easier than other casinos on the strip.

Luxor is more than just egyptian gimmick, from the main lobby to the statues and overall atmosphere it is classy! Our room was a corner on 28th floor with jacuzzi tub overlooking the excalibur and vegas strip which did not dissapoint.

Besides the buffet being closed not a thing has not been a let down. Love this place and plan on staying here again

Stayed here with my fiance to celebrate our engagement. This was my second time to Vegas but his first so he really liked the atmosphere of the hotel. The structure is indeed amazing. Hannah checked us in and she was super sweet and helpful. We had a tower room in the east tower. It was quiet and clean. No major view but we could see the pyramid from our room. The Buffet there is okay. A good selection to choose from. The casino has a variety of games..when playing table games try to find a friendly dealer not the ones who hate their job. We went to the pool one day but with that it was closed for 2 of the hours we were outside..in the future they can let us know upon arrival that there were issues with he pool. They said that Saturday "Cinco de Mayo" the guest really messed the pool up..But it was now Monday so they had two days to clean. The only other issue was that they had to do some maintenance with the water. We came back to the room late and seen the letter that the water would be down. The only issue is that we had a really early flight. But overall experience is great. Will definitely stay again

Stayed here because of its proximity to Mandalay Bay. The rooms may be less expensive but they aren t worth it. Prices on other items like room service, restaurants, and even basics like ordering a plain ole soda are literally outrageous. I ve stayed at 5 star hotels and never almost $20 for a basic soda at the pool. Only a small number of rooms have views, most do not. They consider the tower rooms an upgrade? If these are an upgrade, that s just sad. Pay more money for a better hotel. It ll be less expensive in the end.

Luxor is always interesting to visit. While there is not a whole lot to do there regarding just walking through, the shows are acceptable. I've seen all of the shows with the exception of Carrot Top who is extremely outdated. Hopefully in the near future they will add a new show. Fortunately, Luxor is a close walk to Excalibur where things tend to be a bit more exciting.
