Excellent hotel and staff. The grounds and beach of this hotel is beautiful.

Stunning location, superb choice of restaurants, fantastic beach and beach sports available. Never done stand up paddle boarding before, have now! Kayak ( 1 or 2 person), wind surfing, waterskiing, sailing and even paddle boats for fun. Scuba available from hotel (ask for Ken). Staff are wonderful, all helpful and very knowledgeable about amenities. The chefs are awesome too, I asked if they had any roast pork bun and he made a whole batch the next day!
Gym is decent with high end techno gym equipement and fitness instructors on site. 5 tennis courts, spa ( excellent if you like that sort of thing) cinema is great and all the televised premiere league games are on. Small library is a nice place to write and read, people actually respect the library!
The rooms are marvelous and would not disappoint the strictist of inspectors, the domestic staff are efficient and thoughtful. Best 2 things- the staff and the view. See the pictures below, yes the staff are that thoughtful they asked what animals we might like the towels to be shaped as! (Thanks Vanessa!)
This is a fantastic hotel and holiday experience, could not recommend more.

A well refurbished resort full of entertainment & divevrsified activities

A real 5 stars so I put 5 stars!
everything is perfect from the kitchen to the decoration and cleanliness of the rooms (special mention for prestige rooms) to the exceptional friendliness of the staff (special mention to asvane and joshita of the burgers restaurant) and the quality of the activities on offer (spa , tennis ...)
The only two minor caveats:
- the sand beach a little muddy not the fabulous level of the rest.
- having to leave (a heart-breaker)

Great 5* ressort, very good service and huge quantity of amenities. A bit pricy but fully worth it.

Amazing resort with rooms that are seafacing, has a adults beach side where you can have your lunch and drinks throughout the day,with clean towels so you can take a towel if you prefer yours. All the rooms are cleaned daily, snack bars inside the room refilled at your own request, I'd recommend taking an all inclusive package so you don't have to worry about price when eating meals or having cocktails especially when traveling with kids, their Ice cream is amazing, which you can have over breakfast with some freshly squeezed juice and breakfast of your choice, they have lovely cappuccinos as well if you love warm beverages in the morning.

Now to all parents in the world,,,,,If you want to travel for a nice holiday / 'vacation with your children (including young kids/infants) - This is the place to be !
They cater to all your baby needs. Plus the entire property is gated and secured well with guards.

I would like to recognize and thank Sandeep. He was my main contact at LUX Grand Gaube. He took care of all my inquiries and asks (including initially connecting me with a sales rep to get my booking and reservations done)

I also want to recognize the customer service provided by Shameem at the main restaurant. She was very entertaining and attentive to the needs of our infant baby daughter.

I also enjoyed the complimentary water activities they provide as part of the stay.
Now, if I were to add one suggestion / feedback, it would be to add Basket Ball as part of the sports amenities. It is a very sort after sports activity and will cater well to the needs of international travelors from Europe and USA.

Where should I start? It's perfect. We were told that the hotel is about 80% booked, but during the day, there was plenty of space at the beach and enough tables in the lunch-restaurants. In general, it was quiet everywhere, not even the buffet in the main restaurant was crowded at dinner time. There is an adult-only area, Banyan, but also in the other areas of the hotel, there were not many children, maybe due to the time of our stay (October).

The whole hotel is simply beautiful and the location perfect. We were down in the south in a cheaper hotel for our first week of holidays, and somewhat disappointed by the ocean color. Not at Lux. You don't need any filters for your photos here to get the holiday magazine look. I don't know how old the hotel is, but everything looks new. Everything was clean and at no time of our stay have I seen some garbage lying around, neither on the beach nor anywhere else in the hotel complex. Even the shared restrooms across the hotel area are always clean and smell of fresh mint.

Our room. Marvelous. As far as we could tell, all the rooms have ocean view. We had a direct view of the main beach and the ice cream booth ici. Our room was spacious and contained a big, super soft, comfy bed, two seats, two small tables, a desk with a chair and a big bathroom. The bathroom was divided into a separate shower, two sinks and again a separated toilet with a bidet. We also had a small balcony towards the ocean with two chairs and a small table. The rooms are modern: There are digital buttons next to the door which you can activate/deactivate to signalize the usual "do not disturb" and "please clean".

Food. Oh yes. One of the reasons we booked here, as we are food lovers. There are multiple restaurants with different opening times. Everything I've eaten at any of them has been simply delicious, and I have usually high expectations when food is concerned. Moreover, all of the restaurants are open and have stunning ocean views. My only pain point about the food in the Lux restaurants is that if you don't like seafood, smoked stuff, cilantro, and goat cheese, the menu choices are a bit limited.

Dinner is similar. Decision paralysis is real.

Activities. You can do many of them for free. We tried a free yoga class, kayaking, standup paddling, a glass-bottom boat tour to the reef, and snorkeling at a different reef. The water wasn't that clear and I've had better snorkeling experiences, but we were told sometimes the water is clear. At the beach, don't even bother to try snorkeling, you can't see a thing underwater.
There is a "message in a bottle" game 3 times a day (I think at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm) which you should absolutely play. They hide a bottle, you can go ask at the reception for a hint, and if you find the bottle, you win what's inside on the message. I've seen a girl win a 30 minutes massage and we won a package of the hotel's care product line.

Now, for the employees. I have never been treated with such warmth and attention in any hotel so far (or by anyone who is not family or a very close friend, for that matter). Throughout the day, a lot of employees will smile at you, ask if you're fine, how your day is or if they can help you with any issues. If you're just standing somewhere looking lost, after a few moments somebody will come and ask if you need assistance.

Yes, you pay the price for all of this. It's expensive to stay at the Lux Grand Gaube. But it's worth it and I don't feel like I've paid too much. I've never spent more enjoyable, more relaxing holidays in a place of such beauty.

Fabulous location, incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Rooms large and light though perhaps slightly tired but good overall. Food choices varied and of an excellent standard. Highly recommended.

This was the best hotel that I have ever been to. The food was absolutely amazing and their service is phenomenal everyone is so friendly and respectful. The view was amazing there were so many activities that you could do in the hotel that you barely needed to go out

If you don't mind spending over 500 rupies for a beer the place is fantastic.

Absolute beauty !! Spent my honeymoon here and it was such a wonderful experience, thanks to world class hospitality. They made us feel like staying at a beautiful home away from home....food served here is absolutely top notch !! Would love to visit again and highly recommend to one and all !!

This hotel is just lovely. On the two occasions I've been, we've had a variety of food and the service is great. You are looked after whether you are staying or just there for the day. Even the bathroom has a view!

This resort was beyond my expectations!!! Highest level of service, amazing food and drinks, brand new rooms, beaches for your choice (child, adult, spa), free sea activities (pedalo, catamaran, sailing boat, paddle boat), extremely comfortable place including all the designed territory. But what touched me the most were the employers of the resort, especially Yasser and Elena! The employers are the soul of the hotel, giving us amazing and warm smiles, guessing all our wishes! Very beginning of the stay, a beautiful place, smiling staff and full of attention

Really quite fabulous, full service and a ridiculous amount of amenities and luxuries. Small things like getting a towel and cold bottle of water when you sit on the beach are just some of the small touches that make it truly luxurious.

I did not stay there. I was part of the team doing the renovations from July 17 to December 17. I believe it now has potential to be a great hotel

Lovely hotel. Truly 5 star. The only thing that lets it down is the sea. Looks beautiful but not great to swim in.

Wonderful with all the meaning of the word meaning, comfort, cleanliness, application for mobile, friendly staff, attention to children, restaurants and food eating are all high in interest.

Everything about this place is superb, but I must say that certain things are hugely overpriced.

That's the bad out of the way.
Food: Exceptional. The buffet style at palm court was lovely and more than enough general meal choices I would imagine for all tastes. My only criticism here is that the dessert options are somewhat limited and seemed to be a few yoghurts/ice creams and a couple of crumbles plus a couple of small pot options, such as tiramisu.
Beach rouge was our favourite restaurant, from the food itself to the service, right up our street. Tapas to die for and beef and seafood dishes that were simply sublime.
Feel: Up market without being pushy, all staff were attentive and pleasant and special praise to Pravesh our room boy, the room was kept spotless with some creative touches that made it special.
Yasser at beach rouge for being so attentive and Vicky at Bodrum Blue for exceptional service and pride in his work.
The girls at the coffee bar also deserve credit, with smiles that could warm any room.
I could say much much more but I cant praise the place highly enough, with the exception of alcohol prices being too much to stomach.

Had a nice stay but unfortunately hoteliers havent realised that they due their jobs because of Mauritians who is helping them preserve their jobs...

If i was a white and I was droning, the approach would have been different but as a Mauritian, not knowing that I would have boosted their sales as an influencer, I was stopped and I was told that I don't have the right to fly my drone. Wonder if they realise how much publicity costs nowadays and they just refused a free one!!!

Lux* Grand Gaube hotel is a paradise. Beutiful hotel very clean. My favourite place to eat was Palm Court restuarant and next was Bodrum Blue . Our room no 2058 was kept clean everytime during our stay. We had lovely sea view . Veemal provided us with good service all ways smiling ... he charts to his clients and Sneyha was brilliant too. Food is excellent. I fully recommend this hotel.
