The best hotel I've ever been in my life! Quality service, always putting the clients needs first and satisfying every whim of the client. Staff are so friendly and attentive and always have nice suggestions. It's great to have a hotel that caters for the Halal needs of the Muslim clientele by cooking dishes with alcohol and pork separately as well as having halal meat. The same goes for vegetarian meals. Cheers to Akshay and nilesh at inti restaurant for the good service. Happy to have had the company of Yasser as a guide to the Mediterranean food at beach rouge. And thanks to Dhiren for pointing out the best photographic hotspot across the resort and the service at Bodrum Blue.

Lovely experience!!! The room was very comfortable...

Lovely experience!!! The room was very comfortable and clean and the facilites very nice and convenient. Each member of the personnel was very kind, quick and willing to assist. The location is very beautiful and the activities offered build nice holidays for a family. The breakfast was very good and complete and the food at the restaurants too. In my opinion Inti (Argentinian and Peruvian) restaurant is outstanding.

Overall this is a lovely resort.

This resort is a very lively place to be, there are areas for family with kids and dedicated area for adults only.

Live band every night by the main bar next to the buffet restaurant

Scenery is absolutely amazing, majority of the rooms are facing the sea

In-house water activities includes, paddle boarding, kayaking, glass boat,snorkelling etc. make sure you book in advance.

Buffet selection is Full on! It offers different cuisines to suits everyone.

Services- overall waiter and waitress attentive at the restaurant and bars, as for receptions, very welcoming experience, nice surrounding by the water features at the main entrance of this hotel.

Feedback : I experienced minor issue during my stay in this resort, however I m very impressed with their response. They take on feedback seriously, the management make sure this is resolved and ensure my experience in this resort goes smoothly.

Can t fault this places, it is normal for service staff to be under pressure from time to time, and they acknowledge the feedback from customers.

Lastly, I would to mention the General Manager Fritz(apology not sure if I got his name right) and the manager on duty Sandeep for personally greet us and listened to our feedback.

A dream vacation in the Lux Grand Gaube. When we arrived we were so enthusiastic about the facility that we thought it couldn't be topped. But the room showed us it could be topped. Great decor, comfortable bed, great bathroom. A bottle of gin was waiting for us and other little ones Attentions (cap for the man and a dress for the beach for the woman) everything has been thought of, you don't need to bring shower stuff or shampoo with you. Everything is ready and saves plastic rubbish. The beach is super clean, the service excellent. Sunglasses are cleaned and you get water sprayed you can try a lot of water sports for free Unfortunately the water is very cloudy. Breakfast and dinner are great. Service there too Excellent. There is a great fitness center and tennis courts, etc. The cafe bar is great and should be tried out. There is a cinema and a telephone booth from there you can call home otherwise. I could list a lot, there is just so much that has been thought of and that really makes it a perfect vacation. We will be back.

Visited hotel last mid of July for only 4 days. It is short but I enjoyed. The hotel is located gaube area, just newly renovated. We were met by reception escorted to our upgraded room- Ocean Junior Suite on the 3rd floor. The suite is with comfortable, big king bed. There is huge balcony facing the ocean, the view for sunrise and sunset is just beautiful. The balcony is with bathtub. We didn't gave time to use bathtub though.
The hotel has few restaurants to try: the main buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner, not sure about lunch; just right after the reception. The buffet is spread out like open market and so you can walk and find your food. The tables can be inside the restaurant or by the pool as well.
The next restaurant is beach rouge, with red interior gives romantic mood and located just by the beach, with ala cart menu based mediterranean cuisine.
We have tried Turkish cuisine Bodrum, located literally on the water. The restaurant has very beautiful blue colored decor and gives very modern look. The food is turkish.

Also there is Peruvian restaurant as well but we were unable to try it.
Apart from these there are Lux signature coffee shop, coffee lovers should definetely try. There are food truck as well just exclusive for Lux hotels.
The hotel has adults only area where they call Banyan area. There are pool, french kiss food truck, banyan tree lounge made up in the tree. The area is quiet compare to other areas.

There are lots of things to do within the hotel! They make daily program for guests, guests can choose and participate for any if them. Paddle tennis, soccer by the beach, tennis tournament, kids programs, cooking classes, yoga meditation, biking and lots of more. We were more doing water activities, paddelo, standing boat, snorkelling, water skiing and diving and etc. All the staff is very helpful and they make sure you are enjoying.

Need to mention: there is a wish tree before the reception, where every guest can make their own origami writing his wish to come back to the hotel again and hang in this tree. I did mine too and i really wish to be back to the hotel for 5 nights, the hotel team will announce the lucky winner with 5 nights stay. I really wish to be the winner!
Definetely recommended for all the families, couples, luxury stay.

Refurbed less than a year ago, this resort is really stunning. My room and bathroom (with its own atrium) were luxurious. The 'buffet' restaurant is set up like a good market with so many choices of delicious food. Definitely worth a visit.

At first nothing to put on our big suitcases to easily open it.
Good point the cleaning up of the room is made in a sec (not far)
When on the beach We saw 2 big dogs pieing everywhere, well: a five star private beach ?
We received an invitation for a sunset apero on the 14th august but nobody told us it was canceled !
Each evening about 9 to 11 pm there is big music noise at the beach bar just down there.
Very Nice view from the room.

I would recommend the onsite diving center. Having done the 2 day diving course there I would it was very well run.

This place is the greatest place I have ever staye...

This place is the greatest place I have ever stayed and on our honeymoon we were blown away not only by the luxury but how friendly and accommodating the staff are. They are super courteous and treat you like friends and family. Every passing staff member asks you if you are enjoying your day and if there is anything you would like, whilst sharing their recommendations about the resort and the rest of Mauritius. They go above and beyond at every restaurant to make sure you enjoy your experience. The room was huge and clean, comfortable and modern with the coolest bathroom I have ever seen.
Be sure to check out Bodrum Blue, Creole smokehouse and BB's burgers.
Thank you to the people at Lux. We would love to return.

Don't let the three stars fool you. If you like hotels with private beaches you lie on all day, this hotel is for you. If you're not worried about getting out and about seeing the place, this hotel is for you. However, not for me. The food, in particular the Indian buffet, was excellent although the service not as good - twice the drinks orders were mixed up, when we changed our reservation the message didn't get through to the waiting staff, the room service order didn't arrive at the expected time and it had to be chased.

The staff do seem to fall over themselves to do things for you, which I found very uncomfortable as I prefer to do things like carry luggage and open doors myself, but I often got the impression that they didn't always understand the requests.

Upon walking out of the hotel, you are bombarded with taxi drivers insisting you use them. Not a fault of the hotel, of course, but doesn't make you feel particularly comfortable when all you want to do is go for a walk.

I came here as part of a package so didn't actually choose this hotel myself. If the choice were up to me, I wouldn't stay here again - not because this is a bad hotel, far from it. I just prefer a more humble accommodation closer to visitor attractions.

We had the most beautiful day at Lux Grand Gaube, eating at the Beach Rouge restaurant. The service in particular was world class. Yasser served us, and his attention to detail was amazing. We felt welcome, and will certainly return. Seared tuna was perfectly cooked. Special fruit ice cream was enjoyed by kids and adults alike. All-together perfect day.

Shame there is no option for minus stars!!!! This is the hotel whose construction and refurbishment rubbish was removed in 2017 and dumped on my land! This is what they call civilisation and what I call dumping your sh$$% on other people, which amounts to environmental pollution. Pollution by big companies, who clean their property of their rubbish and leave it on the locals lands. And they get away with it by bribing the police department by feeding them alcohol at the end of the year, so they turn a blind eye to the growing problem. This is what they call managing their rubbish ...by making it someone else s problem!!! And they blame the contractors for it. When you run a company, everything from the rubbish to the finished product is YOUR problem, Mr CEO. Seems we have to teach waste management to the hotel chains in Mauritius. And it does not stop there! Oh no, after your departure from the hotel, your waste water bottles are simply dumped on the beach frequented by the locals. I witnessed it first hand as I saw a concerned local citizen waiting to report it to the police on the days that i spent reporting my land pollution by this hotel chain. And in the developing world, we blame the locals for the rubbish that is swimming in the sea and lagoons. Ever stopped and thought about your part in this as a tourist? So, you as a tourist, when you next visit this hotel chain, you contribute to this pollution. You need to demand and ensure that your waste is recycled and adequately disposed of, so you are not yet another direct or indirect polluter of the environment. To chuck is easy but you need to know who picks up the mess behind you! I am one of those locals! I was belittled and verbally abused by the ignorant police and the ignorants who work for Lux when i reported the problem. That was the price. Next time, you sit and chill at the hotel, use your brain and think that there is someone who has to pay for the sh$%T that you leave behind and it s not the hotel! I did not receive a single penny towards compensation. Besides making more money, Lux is not doing anything about its wastes and environmental pollution. Ask them to prove to you and to show you before you book with them. The example comes from the top! The locals are accommodating but that does not mean exploitation!

Its always exceptional, never short of to keep you happy. Property is beautiful and so are the people working here. All ready to help you out, even when you ask them for something when they are closed. Mr. Charle at French Kiss was so happy to even serve us after he had winded up for the day. Its just pure experience at LUX. Name it and its their specialty.

Beautiful Place, wonderful and ever supportive staff, luxurious rooms with prompt service, good food, great water sport activities at the private beach, spa, gym, jacuzzi, Sauna, Bar, Dances, DJ, volleyball court, sunbath and swim at the beach, rooms facing the ocean, and also new activities planned for the guests for the entire length of the day!

Simply a Wonderful place to holiday with family and friends.

Came here with my family for a two week break. Luxury to say the least. Lovely grounds of the hotel, very friendly service from all staff, beautiful private beach and watersports thrown in. I also did my PADI open water here and the instructors at the diving school are superb. An incredible experience.

Amazing and welcoming staffs @ the bar Mr Vishnu and Mr suraj, the beach manager Mr Reedoo, Elena &Logen @ Reception and 2 greats guys at Inti Nilesh and Yasser. Thank you guys u made our stay wonderful and memorable. You guys do your work with love and passion. We were pampered by the tasty food @beach rouge,Inti, Bodrum and not forgetting the amazing experience at BB's

The hotel is amazing ... Starting with the locatio...

The hotel is amazing ... Starting with the location (high in the north of Mauritius) to the staff (all very friendly and courteous).
We spent 9 nights at the Lux * Grand Gaube during our honeymoon. We had a deluxe room on the first floor with a great view over the small private bay. The rooms are practically furnished, the furniture has a few small signs of wear here and there, but who cares about something like that with such a view.
The hotel complex is lovingly cared for and invites you to stroll.
It is advisable to book all inclusive. The prices for food and drinks are quite similar to those in Switzerland.
But the food is always and everywhere very tasty.
All the little touches that the hotel offers makes it so unique. We loved the Tree of Wishes, the message in a bottle, the ice cream mini, the open-air chinos, etc.
It was a wonderful stay ....

Were there from 27.12.19 to 07.01.20. Have vacationed 3 times at other resorts in Mauritius. Were in Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Malaysia as well as Laos and several times in Thailand ... unfortunately the current vacation in LUX is disappointing, restaurant bookings are canceled without alternative offers - steaks the lt card. 450 grams should be only 240 grams. The entire staff is certainly friendly, but just as chaotic when you watch the service staff. It is very unfortunate that nobody seems to care if customers deliberately want to receive services. We wanted to book 3 private dives (20000.- each) and were sent away 3 times or put off. Cheap group diving will Was preferred ... but apparently it is business policy to send masses of tourists through the resort every 2 weeks - my recommendation: niches more individual quality and less quantity ... Best hotel. Its all new and is totally stunning. Best food. Choice of 5 restaurants and a couple of snack places. Best staff. Every single staff member was happy and i mean genuinely happy. Best service. They were so attentive. I was there with my wife for a week. Its the best holiday weve ever had. Everything was perfect. It exceeded our expectations on every level. We didnt want to leave and would return tomorrow if we could.
