Beautiful environment and an amazing view of Lake Superior throughout the entire resort. The villas are great to stay in.

We got a room at the last minute, and was really impressed.

The townhouses were well done and spacious. The views were breathtaking, looking over lake superior.

Good rustic vibe but outdated accomodations. Expensive resort fee and it's hard to take advantage of what is included in the fee.

Because of Covid 19 protocols we ordered takeout from the pub. Very good service form the bartender. I sipped a bourbon while waiting for the food. Our food was prepared well and I was very pleasantly surprised by the price. I will look to stay at the resort and dine with them again..

The remodeled dining room looks great and dinner was wonderful.

Family vacations should be able to be just that. The guests nextdoor went on vacation to chain smoke cigs and drink cheap beer. They played yard games right in front of our window. My children/toddler should not have to be watch adults smoke cigs and drink or smell cig smoke. I called the office when their dogs kept coming on our deck. They asked them to leash dogs, but did nothing about the cig smoke coming into our cabin, or the drunk yard games in front of our window. It's far to expensive to watch people smoke and drink! It should be a family resort. It's supposed to to smoke free.

River condo is awesome . Offers an excellent view of the Lake Superior . Rooms are spacious and clean . A home away from home .

This was the second time I have stayed at the resort loved it the first time so I thought I would bring my 2 daughters, 2 daughter in-laws and my 3 granddaughters with this time. We stayed in one of the Two Story Villas. All of us had a "FABULOUS" time. My girls were so impressed with the accommodations and the view we had from our room. We had such a good experience we are planning on making this into an annual trip. Needless to say we will definitely be back, hopefully next time for a longer stay.

There is a pub as well as a very fancy and expensive resturant. The pub has good burgers, salads, pizza, and other pub style foods. The restaurant has really fancy and high class meals. Just don't get their garlox (it's like pickled salmon)

We had a great time here. They even welcomed our dog in the main lodge You can't beat the view of Lake Superior from the beach. The pool, hottub, and sauna are really nice after a day outdoors.

I really enjoyed the age and history of the resort, as well as the classes for guests, like fly-fishing and kayaking.

Stayed many times in Winter. First time in Summer, great too.

The resort is next to lake superior and has nice views. We didn't stay there. We went for dinner. The restaurant was not open until 5:30 pm for dinner. But there is a pub which was open. The quality if food was very good and price was reasonable. We ordered cream of wild rice soup and chicken artichoke pizza and both were delicious. The pizza was spicy and I loved it.
There is a gift shop and a game room there too. There is a nice fire place in the lobby which is very good in cold winter time.

These Poplar Condos should not be called "luxury" because the sheets aren't 100% cotton, the coffee is bad and there's no air conditioning. For the price we paid, we expected better. Service in the bar was poor.

We stayed for two nights at lutsen resort; we went for a wedding and really enjoyed our time there! The room was very clean and the staff were extremely kind. The weather wasn't the greatest so we didn't get to do much outside but there was plenty to do inside. We would definitely visit here again.

Well, how could you not love this place? Great brunch, as always.

We stayed in one of the sea villas 3 miles west of the actual lutsen resort. It was clean, cozy and right on the lake. It had full cooking vacilities, two bathrooms one full and one half. The villas came with a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. All in all it was a great two day trip and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Probably the most beautiful location on Lake Superior. Rooms are a bit overpriced but the 2 person whirlpool tub was worth it. A bit unique location for a wedding. Get the bed and breakfast! By far worth it, you can tell it's all made in house. I hate potatoes but whatever they do with theirs, makes me love em

Staying here is an annual tradition for our family. It's a great place, with great weather, great people, and great fun! There's plenty to do, or you can take it slow and relax. We love it! Could not recommended highly enough!

Very friendly staff, extraordinary food, great activities for all ages. Been coming here since I was a kid, love this resort!!

Lutsen is an excellent resort with a variety of lodging options from king beds in the historic lodge to multifamily cabins and condos. Most units and rooms boast views of Lake Superior. The lodge is great for hosting a variety of events from corporate trainings to weddings. The hotel also features a pool, games arcade, a pub, and a full service fine dining restaurant. The restaurant features majestic views of the lake and a dozen high quality entrees. The staff is extremely well trained, friendly, and helpful. In the summer months, there are 6-10 activities for kids and adults each day that are led by the staff. I recommend staying multiple nights to take advantage of what they have to offer.

Great resort with wonderful amenities. Right on Lake Superior

Went there to watch a Vikings game and sat at a table. Service was slow initially but otherwise good.

Spent many special weeks and weekends here, I would suggest trying to book the condos across the bridges.

Love this place! Such an incredible area. Its so fun to lay in the river hang out down at the beach. The resort itself needs a few upgrades to get to level it could be.

Classic but with all the necessary modern features. Very comfortable and clean!

Sea villas have a nice view of the lake,and nice sound of the waves crashing on the rocks. Great hiking tour,great tour guide,And very nice staff.

We love Lutsen! The lodge is welcoming, the rooms are warm, inviting, very clean and so cozy. Their breakfast buffet is well planned, offering many options for those with dietary restrictions. Just the overall feel is one of comfort with newly decorated areas that showcase both rustic nature and beauty. The pool is amazing and was thoroughly enjoyed after a long day on the slopes. For real, big skiing, Lutsen offers the best in Minnesota that's comparable to true mountain experience. Loved every second!

Great place to stay, relax, and enjoy the North Shore of Lake Superior. It is my go to place to stay.

Stopped in to view the resort in the summer season. Beachfront, relaxing.

Horrible, we stayed 2 nights room was small and cramped for two people. We were not told the restaurant and pub would be closed for weddings that were being held. One of the worst resort experiences I ve ever had. Will not be going back here or recommending it to any friends or family.

I loved this place! So nice and relaxing. Staff were amazing! Jacob and Tasha were tons of fun on Wine and Trivia night and had great food recommendations. Will definitely be back.

Stay away. Lots of better other accommodations with more to offer you. This resort has nothing to offer you but a roof over your head. No fun, no services, nothing!

How can you say activities are offered when for a WHOLE WEEK there is NOTHING I could sign up for? Don t say you offer when NOTHING is available...it s a LIE.

We love this rustic spot. The view is amazing and restaurant is very good. Breakfast by the windows is a must.

We stayed overnight at lutsen resort in the sea villas. The unit was very nice and comfortable. The fireplace came in handy as our stay was during March. The views from the room were beautiful. The unit was right next to the water and many walkways were accessible. The staff were all very helpful. We also stopped into the poplar river pub and had delicious appetizers. Overall very nice weekend getaway spot and would definitely return!

Nice accommodations. Convenient shuttle to ski hill. Beautiful view of lake Superior. Great hospitality.

Had a package deal with Mountain Inn and had breakfast vouchers for the Continental Buffet. Option to upgrade to full buffet for $5 more. One drink (coffee/tea OR juice) included. Great views and nice rustic lodge feeling.

Beautiful Resort - cozy lodge on the beach with bonfires and a stream coming into the lake.

Rustic old school room but the authentic lodge experience I remember from the 1970s and even the '60s. If you're looking for Grand HyAtt or Four Seasons... Not it. But they've done a nice job of keeping it a simple, relaxing lake experience.

Enjoyed being by the lake. And is a good base to go daily hiking from.

Great location and view but a few rough spots, would recommend

The good - the staff was all friendly and helpful and some of the activities were fun.

The bad - everything else. The rooms in the lodge were awful, paper-thin walls through which I could hear someone next door having a coughing fit for 30 minutes then snoring as well as hearing the restaurant music all day. The bed wasn't the advertised size and squeaked with every small movement. The lake view was partially obscured by trees and even then wasn't much of a view, mostly just of an unappealing beach and people drinking and smoking at the picnic tables. The rooms lacked basic amenities of cheap hotels and the whole place was very claustrophobic. The food at the restaurant was good but massively overpriced for the quality, especially the wine selection.

Conclusion - You're better off heading a little further north and just getting a regular hotel at Grand Marais for a better lakeside room and easy access to all the same outdoors activities plus even more further north.

Nice hotel room went here about a month .ago I wanted to go to the pool my mom lied to me saying that so I got mad at her.

Beautiful views; located on the shore of Lake Superior.

Staying at the Poplar Condos. Parking spaces out front and easy access walking path to the main lodge. The main lodge has a nice dining restaurant with swedish design and a more casual pub. Good beer and wine selection. The room is great for two people with nice amenities, small deck, fire place, kitchenette, whirl pool, and a ski locker for any equipment. Great stay!

Excelent food! Went to this beautiful restaurant for my birthday and had a blast. They have a very nice selection of wine. Try the Moscato!!!

Lots of activities and a great view of the lake. The room was very dated.

This place has amazing scenic views, I went here snowboarding and the size of the ski area dwarfs any hills in Minnesota and makes exploring different runs a never ending source of fun. The chalets are cozy and warm. Sadly most of the chair lifts are quite slow. The gondola was also a great experience

THEY SIDEWALKS TO THE LODGE WERE NOT SHOVELED. The front desk told us to 'just take the walkway to the lodge' from our condo. There was several inches of snow on the walkway. Very disappointing. When I confronted them they just said 'it's been a snowy year'. Yet all of the desks and stairs were shoveled. We paid over 200$ a night for a room which was right by the door so we heard people coming and going the whole time. And they can't shovel the sidewalk. Food was terrible. Long wait to check in. No parking for checking in. Nice room and shuttle service to the ski resort.

Had drinks along the lake. It was a beautiful way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

We had a photo booth job for a wedding reception. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Cannot wait for our next event up there!

My stay at Lutsen Resort has been overall very good. They have adequate amenities. They have a nice restaurant and bar with a good selection of beer. The condo we're staying in is well-equipped and fair priced. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

Cozy Resort right on the lake. The rooms are dated but clean. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. We had dinner in the restaurant, they have an amazing wine selection and the food was delicious but expensive. The activities desk is super helpful with equipment and recommendations for things to do and see. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay! Rooms were cozy, they upgraded us to the lake side view for free. I think it helped that we might have been the only guests

Very nice rooms right nest to the mountain. Snowboarding was a ton of fun.
