Came here for the first time this past weekend. Didn't go apple picking ($20 a person, I thought was pricy). Bought some apple cider donuts that were very yummy. Walked down to the brewery after and had a cider flight and ordered a GF pizza that was very sad looking/tasting, please change the kind of crust you use! I'd like to try it again. The cider was very good and the space was awesome. There's even outdoor seating available but limited.

18 per person to enter, beware of this scheme. The cost per bag is also separate, which is another 36 dollars. Complete rip off for picking apples, go somewhere else, save your time and money. DO NOT GO.

What a beautiful farm-and a legacy to the person who built it. An enormous selection of the finest fruit trees in America, lined in perfect rows. The cute open trains take visitors around under high arches of grape vines. Stroll the farm and you'd think you are somewhere in Northern Italy or California.
You can certainly buy much cheaper fruit somewhere else. But one comes for the experience. It is very costly to run and maintain a farm of that size, especially when it's open to the public.

If you go in the afternoon on a Saturday, you will wait in line for an hour just to park, then it turns out you need to wait another half hour in line to hop on a train to go to the orchards. It's complete nonsense that you can't just walk over. They had about 10 people manning the parking lot but it was poorly coordinated and very disorganized. There was no traffic control at the gate; everyone was let in. Don't waste your time. Go somewhere else.

The fruit itself was delicious but this is the worst apple picking experience I have ever had. It cost $104 for 4 people to pick a peck and a half of apples. $17/person plus the cost of apples, which we thought was pricey but were willing to pay for a nice afternoon.
However, you are not permitted to walk around the orchard you are required to wait for a train that takes 20-25 minutes show up at each stop (longer than it takes to walk around the entire orchard), completely ruining the experience of walking around an orchard to pick apples... The end of each aisle is also fenced off so you can't go into the next section and have to walk back down the way you came. Finally, there were only 4 types of apples and pears to pick on the day we were here and the selection of ripe/not rotten ones was fairly small.

We are never coming back and would strongly recommend that no one else comes here either. Honey Farms was a significantly better experience for much less money.

However the brewery/cidery on the property was wonderful with friendly staff and reasonably priced food and drinks. Perhaps they are owned by different people than the orchard?

The farm was beautiful but it was WAY overpriced. I have been apple picking for years having grew up in New England and I have never been charged a cover fee to enter a farm. For a group of two, we were out over $50 before we even picked an apple. If you had a family of four, be prepared to drop $100 to pick apples.

The tasting room is a cute addition to the farm. The beer and cider is average but the chicken tenders were great!

For starters this place is very expensive, having to pay an admission fee just to get in to pick the apples. Second, the staff managing the customers going on and off the train are grumpy and unorganized.

Finally, as I was leaving (carrying my one year old child) a lady asked to look into my bag I was carrying. I questioned her since in the bag was obviously baby bottles and diapers. She became very angry and rude and demanded I take the items out of my bag, which I did (mind you while carrying my child) She then wanted me to open it bigger but I asked her to hold on to the bottle carrier and diaper pad since there was no way of me opening the bag anymore. Onlookers even stated , "Do you want her to drop the baby?" First of all nothing is posted about checking bags after you leave, there was no probable cause to check my bag (nor is it the right if the business to do so), and it was very unsafe to ask a mother with a young child to empty out their bag....Perhaps this woman was ignorant in concerns to what it is like to juggle 8 million things in your hand with a child.

I checked reviews and I am not the only one with this experience. When I asked to speak to the owner the lady pointed toward a general direction and said he's over there someplace talking to another person. I understand that people may be taking apples, however I believe the company should come up with a safer, more kid friendly way to monitor their loss, rather than have a mother who is holding her child empty out her purse. I will be following up with a formal complaint as they should not be treating people with children, or other populations in this manner. It was NOT safe.

Those of you who think this farm is great and that...

Those of you who think this farm is great and that the family has done a good job building it, you are sorely mistaken. The Belkin Lookout Farm is a mere shadow of what the farm used to be. In addition to what is there now, they used to also have a nice greenhouse and farm stand. Those buildings are at the entrance, but they have been shut down. The market there used to have all sorts of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a section of the store completely devoted to homemade gelato.

To add insult to injury, the old owners did not charge the outrageous entrance fees to pick your own fruit! Check around at every other farm in the area. They only charge you for the bag, AND they have bigger fruit trees, indicating that those farms have been around much longer. (Yes, the prices for the bags only vary about $1-2 from farm to farm). If they can forgo the addition admissions price, so can Belkin.

I recommend Honey Pot Hill Orchards. You can stop by their store and get fresh cider and donuts, too.

Let me just start by saying that I thought before writing this bad review. Literally this is my first negative review. I love lookout farm in the winter - the greenhouse taproom, the wings, the Brussels sprouts - all excellent. HOWEVER - what we witnessed yesterday was nothing short of a COVID nightmare. Hardly any distancing measures. Probably about 300 people in the field at tables that were too close, and they wouldn t even accommodate a table in the shade further from people even with my parents in their 70 s. Wow. We just left. Don t go to Lookout unless you want to enter a COVID den. Surprised Charlie Baker allows this.

The atmosphere was nice, the food fare is simple and limited but prepared well. The main attraction is the beverage. Both hard cider and beers are easy on the wallet and available by the glass or sampler.
Music adds to the ambience but it can get challenging to talk due to the sound bouncing off the hard surfaces. Luckily they do have a large area off the bar that has large tables were you can hang out and talk.

Love the huge outdoor space, service is quick usually - it is a vast area for dining. The food is good, it won't blow you away, but it's a nice setting for a beer and burger. The apple picking I thought was super expensive though, I don't recall how much, but but it seemed crazy to me compared to other places near by.

It's close and has a good playground. Those are about the only positives. It is WAY overpriced and overcrowded. The staff are not friendly. They are focused on taking your money. You park, they shuffle you to the train, they dump you in the orchard, which is pretty. You can get good pictures if no one else is around, but good luck with that. There are rarely apples left in October. We typically walk to the playground. The kids will ride the ponies, look at the horses and play. We usually get an overpriced and not good lunch from the grill and head home. We often wonder why we went. The answer is always, "because it is close".

Very clean, great for the whole family. The staff was very pleasant- contrary to other reviews we looked at before we went. A little on the expensive side as it's $20 per ticket $17 per kid and if you pick, the bags are extra. Two separate areas for kids to play. Area that you take the tram/train to has animals, playground, inflatable bouncy challenge course, etc. Outhouses are plentiful and clean. Credit cards are taken throughout the farm. Great place to have a nice day outside.

I love the place! They have a great variety of apples, pears, grapes, pumpkins, and activities to do. They even have food, cider, and a grocery place. You can reserve a tent for big events, weddings, graduations, birthdays, ect. Great place for typical New England Fall shenanigans lol. Go on their website, it helps.

One of the best experiences I have had in a long time, especially during COVID. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, food was some of the best food we have had in while - fresh!!, service was the fastest I think I have ever seen ever. A walk through the orchards was so beautiful, the grounds are immaculate. The tables were very far apart and we felt very comfortable. Hand sanitizer stations and safety precautions were great! Can t wait to come back. Highly recommend their Row 7 cider, lobster rolls, steak tips and key lime pie!

Beautiful farm and well maintained but OVERPRICED. this is the only farm I ever seen that you need to pay admission fee - $18 so for family be prepared to spend $100 easily; 5 times more than anywhere else. I feel stupid I didn't check the prices before we drove there.

What a rip off. $34 for three people to pick apples and visit an empty petting zoo. The bee hive was empty as well, replaced by a TV playing a movie---not the reason for the visit. The staff was neither helpful nor friendly, and often hard to understand. My kids were bored in about 5 minutes.

This place is expensive but it s worth it if you have kids who can t walk too long and/or kids who need to be entertained; some libraries offer discounts for this farm. The fruit is delicious too, but it s best to get to the fruit you want as soon as they re ready for the season, especially the strawberries. The cost includes unlimited transportation on a mini train through the orchard under a canopy of grape vines (designated stops to hop on and off), an enormous play area with food & snacks for purchase, tree house, playground, shaded picnic tables, barn animals to view, free face paint, free kids entertainment on select days, free hay ride, free kids ride, free maze, animal rides, and a room to play with Duplos for kids who need a solo sit down activity. The barn at the exit has all kinds of farm goodies for sale (the pies are good), and crates of fruit to fill up your picking bags of you didn t find what you were looking for in the orchard.

They did such a great job here to have enough staff to handle all the business, design line systems that were compliant with covid19, wicked spacing out the picnic tables, you name it. Our food was great, the menu is pretty impressive and gets delivered right to your table. The apple cider is the single best I've ever had, and just this year I've had 5 different ones. Also the "no horsing around" ddh IPA, was 5 stars, no joke.

Really nice place. Sat down to eat, food was good however not worth the price. Apple picking was set up very well in terms of COVID policymaking and procedures. Be prepared for everyone in your party to pay at least $20 per person per apple bag, no exception, if you want to step foot in their orchards.

Our first visit today to the tap room will be our last. My husband and I walked up to the bar, not sure how they did their tastings. We were barely acknowledged by a woman behind the bar, she said hi , then turned to watch the tv. We stood there for a minute or two waiting for her to explain the tastings or at least ask us for what we wanted. We finally had to engage her and ask for samples of their beer and cider. We also ordered food, which was left in a window and we guessed it was ours so took it. the flatbread pizza was very good. After we d eaten and our plates were taken away, the same person who cleared them away asked if we got our food. The beesr and cider were not quite to our liking and the atmosphere was not welcoming. I was at Angry Orchard in Walden NY, last week and had a great experience, I was hoping this would have a similar atmosphere and was very disappointed.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Terrible customer service. I scheduled a reservation for the apple picking on Saturday which is $24 and paid an additional $8 to also get a pumpkin. We recently were informed we were exposed to someone with COVID and are unable to get our testing back in time to go for our reservation tomorrow. When I called I was told by the manager they would not issue a refund and when I informed them no where on their website states there are no refunds if you cannot make your reservation, I was pretty much told well too bad there is not any refunds.

There are MANY orchards available to visit and I suggest you provide your business to anywhere else, where they are aware on how to provide proper customer service. Especially during the current health crisis when obviously extenuating circumstances could arise and you require people to make reservations to visit.

Went there for U-pick at 4:30 on a Saturday. Bought two peck bags for $59. My friend and I walked up and down the aisles and could only find few apples and pear. We barely filled up one bag.

Asked for a refund on the empty bag, but met with a RUDE manager who told us only 2 varieties are left out of 4 advertised on the website. We explained to her we tried our best filling our bags. She snatched the bag out of my hand and said "Ugh, fine, you get your refund!". No apologies from the manager!

We left with 8 lbs of apples for $29 and a sour taste in our mouths.
Save your money and go support smaller and local farms. What a scam!!

Both the farm and the taproom on site are great! We always have a great time here! Very friendly staff and always a great selection of fruits! (My family and I go every year) But be warned the prices here are VERY high it's $20 per Adult and $17 per child a person just to get into the door and that does NOT include fruit which is another 1/2 Peck = $14 Peck = $22 1/2 Bushel = $36.

Very limited selection for apples, apple cider donuts are not hot and fresh, not a good pumpkin selection. But they have hard cider and a bar with some pretty god small plate options. Although the bar doesn't have table service, the tables were dirty (plates don't get cleared) and smelled of old cider.

Very expensive! It's $20 per adult and $17 per child just to enter, even just to enter the shop. Apples and everything else costs more on top of that, and it's also pretty expensive. The shop itself was underwhelming, without many choices. We also stopped at the brewery; the regular (non-alcoholic) cider was good but nothing special, but the beer flight wasn't very good. None of the beers had much flavor or depth to them. Definitely won't be returning.

I will never go back there. I went to this farm today with my 70 yr old mother, a friend and 2 kids. Very expensive to get in and you are forced to buy a bag on top of the tickets. On our way out there are guards at the door to search you like you are a theaf, I had to explain to my 4 yr old that those people were checking the guest for stolen apples, so embarassing! Then my 70 yr old mother was walking out w ONE apple on her hand, visible for everyone to see and the fat security lady started yelling at her that she had to pay, my mother doesnt speak english so she couldnt understand, the lady kept yelling at me that she had to pay for the 1 apple that she had on her hand. I got so mad and said that we didnt want the apple anymore, so she called the supervisor to explain to me why was so important to pay for that 1 apple. After we spent almost 100 dollares to get in and get a tine bag that fits 6 apples. I have to say that next time I will take my son somewhere else where people have more respect for you. The supervisor came w this story about the farm lost over 1000 dollars from people stealing apples... excuse me? And how much money do they make with the outrageous cost to compensate? I am sure they dont need to check baby diper bags. It was like people were walking out of there with gold. I will never go back and if you go make sure you bring NO bags from home or you will have to explain to your little ones why people are checking their snack bag.

Went here last Saturday at 4pm. The place was super packed and there were barely any apples or pears left on the trees and much of what was left was rotting and had flies on them. We had to walk all the way to the end to find decent apples. Paid $24 for what they said was a "half peck" and after struggling to fill our bags, only 13 apples fit in the bag! We entered the orchard at 4 and were done by 4:20; we felt like we were being herded through the orchard because they have one precise path for people to follow and no room to spread out. Also, they only had 3 varieties of apples that they allowed us to pick. We had really gone here to try the restaurant but couldn't get a reservation even a week in advanced and even though the website says walk-ins welcome, we were turned away and told they couldn't take walk-ins for the rest of the night. Super disappointed with this farm, should've just gone to Honey Pot Hill like we do every year, but wanted to try something new, will definitely be sticking with Honey Pot for now on.

Writing about the Taproom...
Rode by the place during a bike ride (in the winter mind you) and decided to stop by. The taproom was open so we had a cider--the Barn Warmer was amazing and the staff was very warm and inviting.

Come to this place off-season and it's warm and friendly. Come during peak season and yes you'll get overwhelmed (think Disney during school vacations--not fun).

There are not many farms in this area any more and I hope this place stays way beyond my lifetime.

This is one of the worst spots for picking apples ive been to. You pay $25 for the littlest bag ever and they don't let you in the rows where the good apples are. The dining is way over priced and the food is like cafeteria food. A lot of the workers have a uptight attitude and really don't care. Go to honey pot instead, trust me!!

Today was my family's first time going to the Belkin Family Lookout Farm. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous after reading some of the negative reviews, but I have to give this place a 5 star rating! We all had a great time! Your admission fee gets you a lot. There is so much for the kids to do. My 3 year old loved it. We did not do any apple picking because there was so much else to do there. I would recommend this as an excellent place for an Autumn family fun day!

Fruit selection is very good. Transportation system could use some work however, as they tend to corral people at one stop at a time. So if you're unfortunate enough to get off at a busy train stop you might end up waiting for an hour in line after waiting an hour in line to get in in the first place! Don't be a sheep and follow the crowd, you can get past the "guards" and walk over the fences separating the sections.

Went peach picking with my husband and son, How many bags would you like? Us How big are they? After looking we decided one was more than enough so we asked for 1 at which point we were told minimum of 2 bags at $20 each. I asked why (bc seriously we just wouldn t use more than that) the sales person was unable to provide an answer so instead of $20 for one bag it was zero dollars for zero bags. How completely ridiculous. Seems like they re not so much as into providing an experience as they are raking people over the coals. Won t go back.
