Having a loved one slowly and inexorably decline over a ten year period was a learning experience with trials and tribulations that I would not wish upon ones worst enemy. As Mom weakened to absolutely no quality of life and started to suffer with pain, we found Hospice and Palliative Care. They were a Godsend and were as much a help to us as our Mother. There is no way that these fantastic individuals could possibly be monetarily rewarded for all that they do. I only hope and pray that blessings are bestowed upon them in the afterlife.

One of the best decisions our family has ever made.
The level of knowledge of the staff is really amazing and the compassion incredible. Don't try to "manage" your loved one's end of life care yourself. You need professional help. We are so lucky to have this resource in Greensboro, use it.

If you have a positive envoirnment in your home regardless of the circumstances do not let these death demons into your home. The only thing they are good for is medications in a timely manner. All they want to do is give morphine and kill them off. I did most of the duties because my mother was very happy and positive. They just want to keep reminding you that death is near and not celebrate the life that's left. Never again. These people are deplorable. I would rather die alone surrounded by people who live me and still want to support me as I pass on. Not drug me up and leave me hanging. Glad we had our moms back on this. Lesson learned.

Compassionate group of people who help those who need it most. We had a great experience with my dad. He felt valued and important at a time that can be horribly alienating for people. Nothing was too much to ask. The nurses are skilled and kind.

Not impressed. My mother came home in Hospice care, they said it was a matter of hours or days. No supplies given, I had to furnish items to bathe and change my mother. Nurse came every two days and said it could be anytime, and I ll be back in two days if she is still here .

The day shift was very supportive and friendly and provided crucial information. The night shift was horrible and rude. If I could give negative stars I would. As soon as my mom passed, the night shift was snappish and dispassionate.

We believe that every moment matters, and we strive to help our patients create more moments that matter. Our team consists of highly trained professionals who are dedicated to providing personalized care that meets each patient's unique needs.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services designed to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients. Our services include:

1. Hospice Care: We provide hospice care for patients who have a life expectancy of six months or less. Our hospice team includes nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and other healthcare professionals who work together to provide comprehensive care.

2. Palliative Care: We also offer palliative care for patients who have serious illnesses but are not yet ready for hospice care. Our palliative care team works closely with each patient's primary physician to manage symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, and shortness of breath.

3. Grief Support: We understand that losing a loved one can be difficult for families. That's why we offer grief support services for families before and after their loved one passes away.

4. Pediatric Hospice: We also provide pediatric hospice services for children with life-limiting illnesses.

Our Approach

At Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, we take a holistic approach to patient care. We believe in treating the whole person – body, mind, and spirit – rather than just focusing on their illness or condition.

We work closely with each patient's family members as well as their primary physician to develop an individualized plan of care that meets their unique needs. Our goal is always to improve quality-of-life by managing symptoms effectively while providing emotional support throughout the journey.
