Great room services. Food was delicious. I liked the fitness center section. Room was beautiful and well maintained. I liked the decor. Staff were nice and provided the great services.

This is my first stay at this hotel (I come to London a lot). It is a nice hotel and worth staying at. The comments so far seem to be about dated rooms, but the room that I got was quite new (see attached pictures). There was also a complaint two months prior that dealt with construction, so they obviously renovated all their rooms. The rooms are very modern, clean, comfy and slick. The bed and chairs are rather comfortable. My room had a heavy new carpet smell though that I didn't notice after being in the room for 10 minutes. The TVs are large and nice (I always attach my Fire Stick to it) and the internet was fast. The service is top notch and like someone said earlier - almost too much.

First time guest. My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights. Clean and quiet room. Fantastic maid service, morning cleaning and evening turn down. Nice touches like moisturizer cream after a day in the London cold. Decent gym, nothing special. But close to Hyde Park so I did a 8km run on a sunny cold morning. There is a coffee shop across the street that prepares great filter coffee and espresso. But the front desk had coffee to go and bubbly wine in the evening. I tried the Gordon Ramsey grill a couple times and the hamburger was delicious. But Service was hit or miss. I also tried the pub across the street and the Guinness was perfect. The hotel booked us Afternoon Tea at the Park Room (Grosvenor House, 10 min walk from hotel),; that was an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Shopping on Oxford Street and New Bond Street not my thing although Selfridge is a must see. My wife walked to a Monica Vinader boutique in the Mayfair area. Other boutiques and restaurants in the vicinity. Tube Station close by (Bond Street) and Uber was available at anytime. The front desk staff went above and beyond, making us feel welcome and comfortable.

We were in a very large event room for 300+ people. It had just been refurbished and looked really nice. Service was a little bit military but understand due to size of event. Long way to toilets and no dedicated facilities for the event room. Lobby a bit tired looking and no help finding the room when we arrived.

Stayed here in 2011. Dated building, very close the the current (soon to be not current) USA Embassy. Very close to Hyde Park and walking distance from Oxford Street and all the shops. Was put in this hotel while working nearby and was given a comically small room. Literally 8' by 12' or the size of a large clothes closet with a single bed and a toilette basically underneath the sink... for paying the amount I did a night I was astonished. After sitting in there dumbstruck for about 10 minutes I decided it wouldn't work, called the front desk, and had them move me to a real room. I understand the Marriott may have decided they could make that broom closet a room and decided my full rate government reservation was a good flogging post, but it was ridiculous. They moved me quickly to a proper queen room with a real bathroom. Still a bad experience.

Overall 3.5 stars but could easily be 4.5 stars.

Overall 3.5 stars but could easily be 4.5 stars.

We stayed here in early Jan 2019 and as a summary my review is:

- Staff - 4 stars (very helpful all the time, but at breakfast rather forgetful)
- Breakfast - 3 stars (not a great selection and both mornings we never quite got what we ordered. By that I mean wrong type of eggs and things we asked to not have were still given to us etc)
- Location - 5 stars (great location in central London)
- Room - 3.5 stars (I appreciate that we only had a superior room but the bath water wasn't very hot and also the TV wasn't even HD. Image attached to this review shows how genuinely terrible the picture was, and yes that is a photo of a game of football!)

Would recommend trying it though because the location was great and staff on the whole brilliant.

The location is great and just a few minutes away from the tube. Though the room -2 single beds- was small and dated, especially taken into consideration this is a 5 star hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. (continental) breakfast is limited but decent. All in all not worth it when looking at the price you pay for all this.

Nice hotel and bar in a mega location. The rooms are nice here but bathrooms are very small in most rooms. It comes with the vintage building of course, but makes this hotel a little more uncomfortable and worse value than what the prices would normally warrant for a 5-star hotel in London.

Noise. There was construction which we were not told about until we arrived. We were told there would be minor noises beginning at 9 am. Jack hammers greated us every morning around 8:15 am. Then a social event was held in the ballroom with music so loud the windows vibrated. We were not told in advance only left to complain. NO SLEEP! This hotel looks beautiful but it ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Unfortunately we chose to stay here over the J W Marriott and its a BIG MISTAKE. The staff here is ARROGANT and IGNORANT, they pretend to play nice have customer service skills but lack them to the bits. You call the concierge or the at your service ext and no one picks up. They don't have basic cotton pads in the bathroom, the toiletries are very regular, my earlier room, the shower was clogged but when I tried to call the ext no one picked up, I even mentioned it to someone downstairs about the phone and they said they were sorry but yet it hasn't been addressed.

Incredibly small bathrooms, which is typical in London so that's fine, but there's no outlet for anything other than "shavers" in the bathroom. First of all, who travels around with a plug in shaver anymore? Or has for the past decade+? Second, this led to a very irritated wife with no space for hairdryer use in the bathroom and no outlets anywhere remotely near any mirror in the room to do her hair in front of. Additionally, even with platinum status, no upgrade given, and for a nice location alongside a park, the lounge is unfortunately located in the basement. Room is at least a fair size for London, with big windows as well.

Our experience basically ruined our evening: the staff were rude and forgot our bags, room smelt bad, the front desk said they'd call us back and we waited for 1/2 hour before we had to call them again. Also left my name off the automatic email they sent afterwards. Seemed very disorganized.

Excellent attention from the reception staff. Both check in and check out are done very quickly. The rooms comfortable and very clean. A very quiet and privileged location one block from Oxford and the New Bond.

I only went there to visit a friend and we chilled in the executive lounge. The lounge is very good and comforting. The staff as well are friendly. The only problem is that the cell phone service is quite bad.

Wonderful hotel with great staff. Nice rooms and excellent choice of food. The hotel quietly boasts to have one of the best cocktail bars in London (The Luggage Room) and I would have to agree. Every cocktail is a creation and they take great pride on making their customers happy.

Attended an awards ceremony here. The venue is stunning with beautiful light furnishings and the chandeliers to die for. Staff extremely helpful and accommodating. There were around 350 of us and the food came out in excellent time, all piping hot as there were plenty of waiting staff. Good quality food - not huge portions (except for the dessert which was an enormous jam jar of delicious lemon posset! A lovely afternoon. Highly recommended as a venue.

Nice hotel in a great central location just a minute walk from Oxford Street. Room size was typical for London central hotels, just about big enough and very clean. Executive lounge was more practical for breakfast as it was buffet, unlike the main restaurant where you have to order most of your meal after you are seated. Liked the mobile phone offered during the stay with free calls and internet.

Worst service ever. Bad manager, his name is Fernando (a pure woman in a man's body). There was a waiter that was a jerk with the name "Matteo" or something like that. No manners from these two guys... Not going back to them again. The food was good.
