Our waiter a love. He attended us in Spanish and advised us on toppings. The pizza very good. A great time. The big pizza for two fills a lot. Super recommended

Very very dry and not fresh dough.
Very cold dry bruschetta bread.
Not good.
There are way better places in Little Italy.
Very expensive, plates and plastic glasses and ATM with exorbitant fees and pizza that is nothing special especially that you have to add ingredients to have a pizza.
Met top chef master Art Smith while enjoying a great Pie.
Food was alright but at over $20 for a small pizza, it's overpriced. Two meatballs were $11. Want a glass of soda? That's $3 with no refills. If you want to go there to say you've eaten at New Yorks "oldest pizzeria," thats fine. But that's all you're paying for. Theres better pizza around for a lesser price and you don't have to pay $3 for a plastic cup of soda.
Lombardi s is literally the oldest pizzeria in NYC which also makes in the first in the United States. This iconic pizzeria specializes in classic brick-oven pizza s that are famous for their historical impact and great taste. You ll find fresh ingredients, a great sauce and high quality cheeses grace this staple. The pie happens to be one of my favorite in city. Lombardi s is a perfect recommendation for visitors traveling to NYC and want to learn the origins of New York pizza culture.
The pizza is very good but it is far from being the best in New York, it is worth asking for the famous Clam Pizza, the place is very expensive for what it is but it might be worth visiting this place once for its historical value.
Waited almost an hour to eat crust that was like cardboard and coated in black pepper (it was the clam pizza). I won't say it's the worst pizza I've ever had, but it was certainly the most expensive and darn near the worst. That said, the bruschetta was one of the best I've ever had.
We received a pizza pie today and for the first time we received a cold pizza. They were stacked on top of each other and they tasted like they were left out all day. I called in and they said they would refund me the money but my football night is ruined. We order from here all the time and this is the first time I ever experienced this. This is usually very very good pizza and hot and fresh. The manager said they are using a non affiliated delivery service and if this is the way it s going to be from now on we will never order from there again. I hope you don t have the same bad experience that we went through today.
Enjoyed lunch today at Lombardi's - pizza was very good. Crust was crispy and ingredients (roasted peppers & sausage) were fresh - I would go back.
Korean pizza is much better. I asked if I didn't like salty but okay, I recommended the meat topping and cheese
Pretty touristy, pizza better than Grimaldi's at least.
Highly recommended pizza , I'm very careful not 2 say the best I've ever had but definitely in the top 10 ,
Overrated expensive and dry dough. I liked the cheese but honestly its not the same as it was 15 years ago
The pizza was good but not worth the price for the small size. My friends and I got the Special "Cake Boss" pizza. Crust was thin and crispy and they put an abundant amount of arugula. Wait was long at 2:30 p on a Saturday. Took about an hour to get a table for 3.
Yesterday we went to Grimaldi's pizza in Brooklyn and believe me that pizza is one of the best in the planet. But Lombardi's is the number one. Friendly service. Nice people. Great place. And the best pizza. Open since 1905 trust me is the best pizza in NYC
This is hands down some of the best pizza you'll find in New York City. It's quite the tourist trap - because of how GOOD it is. Worth the wait! Meatball pizza and caesar salad are my favorites.
A pioneer of New York pizza. I ate the signature menu, but it is characterized by a chewy dough and a little bit of tan. Cheese is a little lacking. There was no big difference with Napoli pizza. I made it to show soldiers who participated in the World War to taste Italian mainland pizza ... So is it?
Excellent pizza. Cash only. Ingredients are very fresh. My family loved everything.
5 stars all in. Maybe 3+ for the pie. History and atmosphere well worth it. Especially for visitors - first pizza joint in US. I'll take it over regular NYC pizza for sure...which frankly doesn't do it for me. Pick your times. Tourists have made it SRO in peak hours
Was so looking forward to try this place for its pizzas however so disappointed left the place before even sitting as no card is accepted only cash. So ironically they have a little cash machine on the place with high charges. I don t expect to come to your place to spend my money on you and be charged extra for this plus tips no. Thank you. Is NYC and 21st century .....
excellent crust and fresh toppings. for the first licensed pizzeria in nyc, the decor is a little too generic and sterile. service was very competent and attentive.
Good pizza and great service.
However it was quite pricey.
Hands down, the best pizza my boyfriend and I have ever had!!!! He's a huge pizza connoisseur and we both agree we've never had anything like it. The toppings are so fresh and have so much flavor! Love the thin crust; we did get extra cheese on half because they don't load it with cheese. Hardly a wait for a table for two at lunch time on Friday!
Over hyped. The place has a long wait, serves whole pizzas only, which are ridiculously priced. Apparently you're eating a piece of history since Lombardi's is one of the first pizzas in America, but it's just pizza. TBH, Chicago has better thin crust pizza. Will not be back.
Solid classic NYC pizza. Plan ahead - they take cash only.
Very good atmosphere.. But the pizza was Ok.. I dont recommend the white pizza.. Only try the original with tomato sauce.
No difference from expensive Korean house pizza
Draft beer is ok
We had both a couple pizzas (from a wood-fired oven) and two of the pasta entrees...all were delicious. I personally liked the pesto pasta entree. But what struck us most was the outstanding service. Our family included an elderly grandmother who is somewhat handicapped; the restaurant went out of their way to make sure we were seated in a location that was easier for her to access and had limited noise distractions....a MUCH appreciated accomodation!
Pizza is pretty expensive, but does not seem very gourmet. The pizza came out very burnt and it overwhelmed the flavor of the toppings. Service is also pretty slow.
Nice place, very nice, although for my taste the pizza was not what I expected
Great pizza at decent NYC prices. Pizza prices have gone down int he past few years due to 2 Bros, but so has the quality. These guys more than make up for it with their high quality, authentic NYC pizza. I've taken a few friends here, visiting, and they've loved the pizza here. If you want a great slice without the hassle, then come here and grab a quick bite to eat. You won't regret it.
An awesome place for authentic pizza. They have tried to maintain the old feel with the style of table cloth and hand written bills(maybe). The Pizza was great! The bread has a unique taste to it. Overall delicious experience
This is the place I take my friends when they visit NYC.
Amazing vibe awesome pizza. Great experience, just go, you can thank me later!
Best brick oven pizza in New York City 5 pizza rating
My girlfriend and I used to come twice a year for special occasions. The pizza was always perfectly balanced between soft, saucy, and tasty. Our last two visits however we're horrendous and resulted in an experience that has caused them to lose our patronage forever.
We were seated in a back area which was fine, there were four of us for this outing. We were seated quickly, which was nice. Unfortunately that is where the pleasantries ended. We ordered a regular margherita pie with two toppings, the same order we always had for the last 4 years. It took oddly longer than normal to arrive, with excess oil in the center making it drippy and burnt edges. If you were to draw a circle, the outer 30% was burnt crust and the inner 30% was floppy.
Now, it's ok, things happen, and I typically am patient and give every benefit of the doubt for things, but the next events just broke our patience. There were no waiters in our back area for over 5minutes, at which when he returned we managed to ask him for the check. He confirmed my request (there is a register back here), then vanished for another 5, served tables and regularly scribbled on the pad of our table to do only god knows what for another 10 minutes, before finally handing us the check after 5 more minutes.
At this point I'm sufficiently annoyed, and have dropped my tip from 20% to 15%. I'm normally a very generous tipper with 20% being my baseline to reflect my appreciation for attentive service but this irked me. Especially after handing me the check and walking away, I was ready with the cash and about to wave for him when he then decided to speak to a female co-worker for 7 more minutes, then when she moved away, he tended to the closest table that didn't even signal or need him, before finally taking my check and cash. With that last bit of my patience taken, we dropped it down to 10%. I essentially lost 30minutes of my limited spare time for lackadaisical service and (honestly) not as great food as it once was.
My experience may be limited, and it could have been a bad night, but this incident has made sure we will never return.
Great pizza, love to be here. Interesting interior and fast and good service
The restaurant was recommended to us, which I can not understand.
The pizza was just not tasty, the head of lettuce was cut in the middle and drizzled with sauce. (Salad was not washed)
The food was served with paper plates and plastic cutlery, really expected more.
The crust and sauce are cooked properly. It is a chill place especially during the week.
Classic Lombardi's pizza. What else can you say? Service was fantastic as always. It was busy but it was around Christmas so there's nothing they can do about that. Food was great. Drinks were great. Will always come back when I'm in NY.
Phenomenal pizza or as they say in New York "pies". So good you can eat a whole one by yourself .
Never been to Italy but I'm told this is what their pizza taste like, if that's true I plan on making a trip soon! Perfect crust, perfect sauce and cheese! Just little slices of heaven. It was a great experience! I love going and I don't plan on stopping. The waiters and waitresses are always helpful and sweet. Great place to go with family or on a date!
Lombardi's is like visiting an Aunt and Uncle who cook great food and don't know how to use a credit card.
The pizza is reasonable in price, same with the appetizers. I enjoyed the meatballs and a pepperoni pizza. The service was great, with a very clean atmosphere. The "cash only" restriction sucks.
I'd go back, if I could use my card
The margarita pizza was sooooo basic. I expected more
Great pizza, real cheese, tomato sauce with flavor and no grease. The way a pizza should be made. Worth the wait
Excellent atmosphere, the best artisanal pizzas. They also have excellent staff. I recommend it.
Great pizza and good atmosphere. Its on the pricey side, but is well worth it.
The best pizza in NY, the sauce is from another world
Omg six thousand online reviews! This made me ensured that I must go here for a meal. Went with my mate and ordered a special pizza. It was extremely delicious. Loved their customer service, they are so professional and careful. Recommended for foodies.
So good! A bit pricey for pizza, but it really is delicious
Great pizza, fair price, and a nice place to sit after walking around New York. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
Relying on their name and history. Very expensive. Probably could get a comparable pizza for half the price.
Came here while on vacation, not impressed. Over priced really..
One of the best PIZZA that I tried. and I love Pizza, Roma can not compare to Lombardi. I usually have the fresh mozzarella, peperonni and Olives. The only place that come close to Lombardi is Grimaldi in Brooklyn. Thank you and keep doing a great job.
While there is a long wait, and the restaurant is very small, the pizza is absolutely delicious! I had the Margarita Pizza. Be advised, they are cash only. There is an ATM in the building, however it only dispenses $50 at a time.
Great place to have some pizza. I don't recommend getting the breadstick they are very plain.
Great value for money. Real tasty food and a great atmosphere. We had a blast!
Simple and fantastic. Excellent service, the pizza arrives fast and is very tasty. It is also worth as a tourist spot and to get to know the region.
Nice pizza with the option of making half a half with different ingredients, but not something you won't find again. It made a terrible impression on us because we had taken a pizza, a salad and a beer and they were going to charge us double the price allegedly by mistake !!!!!
Superb pizzeria quite large in the end with little choice but very good pizzas including white pizza! Deliciozzo !!
Besides the history part, the pizza is very good and the atmosphere of the place is also great! I highly recommend it. They only accept cash, but there is an ATM inside the pizzeria.
Honestly, it's a tourist trap that I never imagined I'd ever eat in. But we were desperate for a place we could walk into on a Saturday in Nolita and they had room.
As a successful business, it's a great model. They're really pack you in. We were sitting on the roof in November which was warm but drafty. I think they seat people in the basement as well. It's cash only and it's always busy. The pizza is really just okay on the scale of pizza you can get in NYC and it's small for the price. The clams tasted canned on the clam pie.
We went here with a group of Boy Scouts last evening. There were 13 in our party. Service and food were perfect. What a great place to
Eat.
It was good not great. I think there are better options in NYC. I give it 4 stars for the old style restaurant and history. 110th anniversary, thats something.
This best pizza I've eatten in NYC in a long long time. Great sangrias as well. Cash only.
Trades off the location. Pizzas nothing special and very expensive. Nice atmosphere, good service.
