I recently had flowers sent here to surprise my wife. Brooke, the night concierge, was incredibly attentive and helpful when I called to see if she could have the flowers unpacked and set up nicely in the room. She was able to coordinate that with the delivery day s concierge and surprise my wife with a beautiful bouquet.
Refined hotel, very good service and great location, right in the center of philadelphia. However there are no lodging options with breakfast and daily rates are high. There is a parking service, also payable separately.
The scenery is nice the restrooms are clean with wooden shutters on the private stall doors what more can you ask for, classy place to eat dinner and a bar to enjoy drinks and stay over in a luxury suite if your to tipsy to drive.
A wonderful hotel. We stayed there over this Thanksgiving. A nice large corner room on an upper floor also gave us a great view of the city. However, what was truly impressive was the sincere friendliness of all the staff. They greeted us, smiled, wished us a Happy Thanksgiving in a way that I knew they truly meant it - it wasn't just a pasted response they had been instructed to provide. My wife was so impressed she asked several of the staff why they were so friendly and positive. We heard that Mr Tisch - the leader of Loews - was a frequent visitor. He would walk the corridors greeting his employees. He passed on how good it made everyone feel.
One specific example. Thanksgiving day was very cold and windy. We wanted to explore Dilworth Park just in front of City Hall. However, our daughter realized she had forgotten her overcoat. Bummer. When my wife mentioned this to the concierge - he found a solution. They retrieved a valet Loews jacket that fit her well enough - and all bundled up she handled the cold just fine and enjoyed our exploration.
Also of note - on Thanksgiving day, the lobby lounge was buzzing with family activity. Kids, eating, watching the parade on the TVs, alive with energy. Also a wide diversity of guests from many countries. And if that isn't enough - dog friendly!
Our daughter is already asking if we will be going back there next year.
I've been here multiple times for conferences, never personally stayed here.
If you're into modern designed buildings, and/or into history, this place is a must visit.
The bourbon bar on the bottom floor is also pretty good.
Great stay. My only complaint is the bar downstairs closes at 1am.
Trendy hotel in downtown Philadelphia only a few minutes away from City Hall and historic district.
Hotel is crazy nice, the Philly cheese steaks from room service are great even after you forget they're there for 12 hrs.
I just went to the bar. Edgar is a super nice guy and very accommodating. Was willing to make the best virgin drink for my wife who was pregnant.
Terrible, I was playing my iPad they said it was too loud and disturbing people. Banging on the door like I was a criminal then I answered and it was security saying that we're sorry. The worst place in Philly to stay, way to go sactuary city.
Not great for contractors, with a less than par sales staff.
Beautiful hotel, great location, comfortable rooms. Very nice.
Great look upon entrance. Hallways dirty and rooms were spot cleaned.
Been staying at Loew's for many many years. Always top of the line service and quality. We've been to most of them in the states Loews South Beach, New York, San Diego Santa Monica Tucson and others I can't remember oh first one was Beverly Hills. Always outstanding service
Very neat and beautiful place to stay. Very nice people and would Definitely stay again.
Had dinner and drinks here. Excellent service and wonderful steaks.
Built mid-century, remodeled a couple of years ago, the large rooms and great views make this a fine hotel. Lots of elevators. The busy restaurant offers eceptionally fine dining. When I asked for a vegan meal, the chef came out from the kitchen, and suggested a primavera. It was delicious.
Service at Bank and Bourbon was great, hotel valet, made me nervous the way they drove
Nice experience. Decent place to stay in downtown Philly. Updated rooms and renovated lobby.
Historical building, pretty view, decent service, highly recommended.
....people taking reservations by phone are rude...booked at DoubleTree...a world of difference..lost my business
The hotel and staff were fantastic. Great location, the hotel is near everything.
By far one of the greatest hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff was absolutely amazing , and our room had an amazing view of the city.
Upscale and trendy spot. Great amenities and responsive staff
I AM ALWAYS IMPRESSED BY THE QUALITY OF THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY LOEWS. FROM THE MOMENT I ARRIVED THE ENTIRE HOTEL STAFF MADE CERTAIN THAT MY STAY WAS COMFORTABLE AND TOTALLY ENJOYABLE. I WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING AT THE LOEWS PHILADELPHIA HOTEL AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.
Pros: Very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Cons: Elevators are slow AF and construction lights/noise on 12th Street side of building. Depending on which way the operator parks his crane you could end up with the giant C3 spotlight shining right into your room as happened to me two of the four nights I was there (shades don't help). Just make sure to ask for a room on a different side of the building. Overall this is a very good hotel and I would recommend it!
Rooms are great but forget about resting inside during the day, way to much noise in the halls.
The staff was super friendly! But the bathroom was still dirty upon arrival, hair on the bathroom floor. Stains on the curtains and pillows. The shower mirrors you could tell were not properly wiped down. For the money I spent the room was not worth it. But the hotel team was very nice, I also have pictures of everything. The wall paint was falling from I assume water damage. Not happy with my stay. But the customer service was good
The restaurant andbbar was fantastic, the function I attended was well organized and the service was above and beyond excellent.
Beautiful and cozy. Downstairs bar offers a small food menu and full bar.
Woman at front desk refused to tell me what room I was staying in. (Parents made reservation, I had a key card just didn't know what room I was in) my parent's phones were dead, and they were at a wedding party that I just left. It wasn't the fact that she wouldn't tell me my room, it was how she said that she was refusing to tell me because my name wasn't on the reservation, without even asking my name.
Very nice hotel. Check in smooth and easy, with genuinely friendly clerk. Rooms were modern and clean. Got a text from the desk making sure my room was to my satisfaction. Wi-Fi was suitable for work. Bed very comfortable. Would stay here again. Only here for one night, so did not get a chance to check out fitness area etc. Hard Rock Cafe right across the street.
12/1/2018: The hotel is clean and the employees are nice. Only problem is the bathroom fan was broken which makes for a very steamy room after a shower. It has yet to be fixed. I will update this if that changes.
UPDATE 12/5/2018: Outside of this post, I notified the front desk about the fan a total of three times. I arrived on Thursday. I notified them on Friday, Sunday, and when I checked out on Tuesday after being asked how the stay was. Each time I was told they would notify a manager and have it fixed. Normally the fan wouldn't bother me so much, but I was visiting for PAX Unplugged and had board games/card games in my room. As you can imagine steam ruins those items. Luckily, I moved those items as far away from the bathroom as I could but I shouldn't have to considering being told it would be fixed numerous times. Staying in a room should be stress free, therefore I'm keeping the rate the same. Hopefully others have a better experience.
It was overall nice but overpriced. The room had no microwave and room service automatically thought I was tipping him $8 for a $32 tab. Maids came in often, it was kind of annoying.
But the front desk and valet parking services were nice and gave good recommendations for place to go
It's a good hotel and great location. The room was clean.
Didn't stay at the hotel but did meet up with friends there. But the price for the stay is wAP to much for me.
I arrived with more luggage than I could carry by myself and they told me they were out of trolleys. Odd. I was in Philly for the first time for labor day weekend and was informed that they only serve breakfast on the weekdays. One family that was a part of my group paid extra for breakfast only to be informed of this same news. They had to downgrade rooms in order to get a refund. The elevators were the worst part about my stay. One busy night, it took me 12 minutes to get from the 20th floor to the 17th floor. Unacceptable. I'm sure Philly is a cool city but loews left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
We love the hotel and very helpful staff, especially the lounge on the 32nd floor. Great views, especially on the 4th of July
After having a bad experience at another hotel and having to make a last minute reservation at the Loews, we were very satisfied. Munna checked us in, and he was extremely friendly and accommodating. We were very pleased with our stay! Very clean and beautiful view of the city as well.
Attended a conference here. The meeting and conference rooms were very nice. Fuji water is a great touch (not sure if hotel or conference). Food and snacks were very good too. Lobby was fine, nothing special, but good WiFi at least!
Nice modern hotel and the food at the restaurant is great too!
Good location close to shops, restaurants. Good service; internet is not free unless with an offer while booking. Ac temperature in the room I was, was not accurate. It showed higher than the actual temperature.
Didn't like having to be charged for add I g a portable microwave to be in my room. Also, don't touch anything in your frig. You will be charged. If u lift it up,you might as well drink it.
Great place to walk by and view the city. Amazing decor and location!
Love this hotel clean very friendly ppl great good and that om service my kids love going swimming in the winter all around great atmosphere
I have never stayed here but been to bank and bourbon many times. If that restaurant reflects the rest of the hotel I am sure it's excellent.
Beautiful hotel excellent staff. Just don't use the valet someone stepped on my passenger seat and left a mark.
It s centrally located right in downtown Philadelphia and so the usual homeless and people in distress lay right outside this iconic hotel. The hotel is inviting though the front door is understated. You could miss it. The lobby is very downtown chic and the staff friendly and welcoming. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. There was something that needed cleaning in my room. I told the staff and they sent someone who replaced it with a new one! That s where they lost the star. This appears to be the place where wedding parties stay. I saw at least three. The video below was streaming down the street just as we arrived.
Beautiful hotels with stunning views of the city in a great location. Very friendly and accommodating staff and reasonably priced for the location.
Only place to stay in Philly. Been staying there for years. Truly great staff and facility.
We stopped for brunch at the hotel's restaurant. The food was really good but overpriced... which honestly is exactly as expected for the context and location, so that's whatever... but they charged $4 for coffee. A fountain soda was $3.50. In what universe is a waitress pouring regular coffee into a mug a $4 service!? It makes sense for a fancy latte from Starbucks but not just for a cup of coffee... most good hotels have coffee for FREE in the lobby.
