Really good food and Margaritas! The atmosphere is fun and inviting, service was good, food even better!

Bartender would not let me watch the game I wanted to watch. I asked him three times. He also was a terrible server in general.

Always fresh delucious cooked to perfection quality food. Server Stephanie was amazing! Prompt, polite, clean, fast, I cant say enough good things about her and other staff. Highly recommend this place. Super affordable! Best Mexican food ive had in 34 yrs of life. Also really loved compliment postcard! If you don't go here, ask why are you punishing and depriving yourself. Seriously stop reading and go!! Inside and outside dining options. Plently of space for 6 ft apart. Super clean.

Do not order carry out from them. That is way too much money for something they will mess up on every item you order if its not the standard way on the menu

Great tasting fresh food served quickly and with a smile. We were there during the lunch rush and got a table in around 20 minutes, served our food in less than another 20. We stayed and conversed for awhile and never felt like we were being rushed to leave & our server was excellent with recommendations about menu items as well as where to visit in Gatlinburg.
Tip your servers well! The ones at Loco Burro are WELL worth it!

Food was ok. Brisket was very fatty. Atmosphere was nice. Our server Vlad kind of forgot about us but it seemed like he may have been new and in the weeds.

Average food, high prices, terrible server.

Ate there at an off time during the day (mid-afternoon) and the restaurant was not very crowded. Our server, Roxana, was terrible. She violated the two main cardinal rules of restaurant service: 1) don't make the customers wait, especially for drinks; and, 2) get the order right, or if something gets messed up take responsibility for fixing it.

We waited over 10 minutes for her to even take our drink order, which also took several minutes to deliver. Considering we ordered mostly water, should not have taken so long. Additionally, getting refills for water or Coke was apparently a one-time only option for the entire meal, despite drink glasses sitting empty for 10-15 minutes on end.

For the food, it took a long time to get the food, despite it being a very small crowd. And when the food arrived, they got two aspects of the order wrong. First of all, one order was completely wrong all together. Another server who delivered the food informed our server (I could hear them because they spoke right next to me) that the kitchen delivered exactly what she put in. THAT other server apologized profusely (our server never said anything or apologized). The second aspect of our order was small, but has potential health impacts. I am mildly allergic to avocado and I clearly asked for no guacamole in my order at all. When my food arrived, there was a large helping of guacamole on the plate, right on the main course.

At no point did our server apologize for the mistakes, especially the wrong order, and did not come across as being engaged or concerned about our dining experience in any way shape or form.

Additionally, during the meal, I observed two other servers having a heated argument in the middle of the dining area in front of customers and no manager or any one else stepped in to tell them to go elsewhere.

At this point, had the food been above-average, I would give it 3 Stars. However, the food was average at best, and while others reviewing here may have had good service, we did not. So, accordingly, I will not go back.

But if others try it, just don't sit in Roxana's section.

One other minor point - the restaurant ran out of Coca-Cola while we were there. A major restaurant in a major tourist area... how does this happen?!

The server we had was wonderful, but the restaurant itself was in dire need of cleaning. My silverware had dried beans on them, the tabletop menus had the remnants of old tortilla chips all in it... And I witnessed with my own eyes (and one recorded video) 2 German cockroaches walking around, just chilling. If you own or manage this joint, id get to cleaning if I were you.

Went because we couldn t get in anywhere else. They seated us immediately which should ve been our sign. The salsa was gross and not well mixed. The meal was also ridiculously expensive. There s way too much cilantro (and I m a cilantro lover). I m really disappointed because this was our last outing on our vacation. Will not be returning.

Food was disappointing, seemed like everything was served out of a can. Not to mention the prices are ridiculous. Found way better mexican food, at 1/3 the cost, in Pigeon Forge.

$40 margarita pitcher? What s in there? Gold? Diamonds? What is so special about the margs? I shouldn t have to empty my savings account for a marg pitcher. Chips and salsa where decent.

We love Loco Burro! We come here to eat no matter the wait time during our vacations in the Smokey s. The food and drinks are phenomenal and the staff is so great! Robbie especially was an awesome waiter! Seriously this place rocks.

Very good. Huge portions. Made a mistake on my order but made it right quick.

We very much enjoyed our time here. Service was prompt and courteous. The fajitas, 9 layer dip, and taco salad were all cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. The overall decor is amazing and gives you the feel that you are out of the country. I've never seen lights in the sidewalk like these as well. We will definitely visit again.

We sat up on the roof and enjoyed some Mexican street corn and I loved my grilled shrimp salad. Food was delicious, the covered bar on the roof protected us from the rain and we had great service.

Great atmosphere, love the rooftop dining. The nachos are big enough to feed 2 people. Micheladas are really good, overall great place.

Wow! My wife and I just split the fajitas with chicken and steak. We're taking food home. It was so delicious, we couldn't leave it behind. Our server Julia made us feel like we were eating at her house.

This place deserves a higher rating then it has at the time of this review for two reasons: 1: we came in at 9:51 (they close at 10) and we were going to go somewhere else but the manager insisted on seating us and was very inviting and 2: we ordered nachos with steak and it BLEW our minds. The steak was so tender, and EVERY chip had queso. You can tell they cared about that plate of nachos. Solid place if you're in the Smoky Mountains.

This place was packed but their staff was so attentive and on the ball! They cleared tables efficiently and the food was great. 10/10 customer service.

We really enjoyed lunch here. We visited on a Monday, MLK day. Most of the crowd had headed out already so we were sat immediately.
Everything was super fresh and delicious. The server was friendly and fast with our needs. The steak fajitas were perfect! We will definitely be back!

I was shocked shocked how flavorful this food was. I got enchiladas and my daughter got a chimichangas. We both loved our meals. Great portions.

Had a larger party and agreed to wait for 45 mins. We walked up to see if our table was ready, only to hear that it might take 20 more mins because 'people wouldn't leave from their tables.' We waited 20 more mins. Went up to check on the tables again and they told us that 'the people that were seated just got their food. Sorry, I'm not sure how long it will be.'
Once seated, we were there 2 more hours. Appetizers took forever, one of our party had to get 3 different people's attention to get the rest of his food made. In total, we were there over 3 hours.

Major lack of communication. Extremely slow service.

The bull riding is great! Even when it was busy, the staff kept up.

The most unimpressive mexican food I've ever had. Every dish that was supposed to come with guacamole did not because of a supposed avacado shortage?! If that's the case, maybe you should take down your "fresh guacamole" advertisement on your outdoor sign. All the rice and beans came out luke warm. Even the fajitas weren't sizzling which was bizarre. The constant drip of water from the ceiling onto my wife's left shoulder did not help this restaurants case either. We did however like our server Seda. She did a great job and none of our inconveniences were her fault.

Plates of food are huge! Food and service were great and very reasonably priced. Would recommend this place.

This place is so cool. It's the first restaurant that I've been to that has an escalator! The environment was so chill, the service, food and drinks was wonderful! My server was name Andrew. He was a great waiter.

Is a good place to grab a meal. Not old boring food they have there own flavor and the food was great.

Ground beef was comparable to something I would feed my dog. There was something crunchy in my burrito ! I give the place two stars due to the properly made Margarita and decor.

Not a bad place considering this is on the main drag in the tourist area of town.

Vegan options available: Veggie tacos or Veggie burrito just hold the sour cream and cheese. Also the complimentary never ending chips and salsa were tasty. Get a premium margarita with good tequila

Our server was in training but the manager on duty made sure everything ran smoothly as we were a party of 6 dudes, with separate checks (don't judge, I'm sure you've done it) during the Friday evening rush, on the rooftop.

Sure it's not the best value for your $ but you're in a tourist area so just roll with it. I'd go back if I was in town.
