Great local spot we recently had lunch at. Very attentive service.

I have dined here many times and was always impressed. The most recent visit changed my mind. The waitress didn't seem to keen on my order, forgetting something. As well as the pasta I got was not as it usually was.
Disappointed to say the least due to my last visit, will try again in some time.

Awesome bacon wrapped scallops with red skin mashed potatoes and dirty rice. And Italian wedding soup.

It's really great place and a nice remolded. Bigger selection on the food. . Awesome .

I was extremely disappointed with my visit to the Loading Dock. First, we were greeted by a very rude man. We gave our name, took a seat, and waited as he aggressively/rudely called people s names. When it was finally our turn to be seated he tossed the menus on the table and walked away without even looking at us. Our waitress was an emotionless robot. She did not ask how the other two people in my party wanted their burgers cooked. When my boyfriend explicitly requested that his burger be done medium, it came out well done. I ordered the cordon bleu grilled chicken sandwich and was extremely disappointed. It was terrible. The only good thing about our meal was the firecracker cheese fries that came in our appetizer sampler. Even the water tasted terrible. When we requested a box at the end of our meal, it took three visits from our waitress and three reminders from us to actually get it. I will not be returning.

Great place good food drinks always crowd worth the wait

Food is inexpensive, portions are large, and staff was very friendly. The location and outside appearance is a bit odd, but the inside is actually pretty nice.

We are from Buffalo New York stopping in Scranton on our way to NYC and we stopped here for a quick bite. AWESOME!!! Our server, Jackie, was very informative and full of smiles. She gave a brief overview of the great menu, and when we asked about the areas hotels she gave us some great ideas.
The food...in one word ..Stellar!! Try the signature items. And as for drinks. They don't hold back and when I was on my last sip they had another ready. I give this place 2 thumbs up. Thanks for the experience.

The food was very good.
The only thing that I was disappointed with was the low quality cranberry and orange juices they used for the mixed drinks. Spend the extra!

From the moment my girlfriend and I walked into this place it was busy. Very busy. The hostess said it would be at least an hour wait. We took this as a good sign.

They had a bar so we decided to grab the two open seats and order a drink while we waited for our table.
The bartender asked us if we'd like a menu to order an appetizer. We said not just yet (we had an hour just until we got a table). But my girlfriend decided she was hungry and could use a snack soon. The next time the bartender came near I asked him if we could see the menu now - he blatantly ignored me, did several more tasks, passed out menus TWO more times before he came back with one for us. He made it clear we were being punished for our iniquities.

We ordered an appetizer - it was an enormous basket of fried food. It tasted just as any deep fried food would - no better - no worse.

We decided to just remain at the bar to order our entrees. I walked over to the hostess and told her she could cross our names off - that we would be staying at the bar to eat. When we finally got the bartenders attention again (the bar is small and you can easily talk across it) we attempted to order our food. He proceeded to scold us in the Loading Dock Etiquette. He told us that there is a wait to be seated at the bar just as there is for tables. But since we were there already we might as well stay. Are you kidding me? First of all I have never seen a restaurant in all my life that you are not allowed to wait at the bar for your name to be called to a table. And if this is the case why did he wait until after drinks and appetizers but before meals to inform us? And why is there no sign stating this?

My steak tasted like it came out of a freezer. My girlfriend ordered the vegetable pasta Alfredo - it was HUGE and OBVIOUSLY FROZEN. It was clearly something like Birdseye Frozen Steamer Microwave bags. YUCK.

Basket of fried fat, four absolute & tonics, one steak and one steamer microwave bag - our total came to $150 before tip!!!

Seriously, people wait out the door to be over charged for terrible service and worse food. I just do not get it.

Here is a tip: smaller portions and balance the cost into quality food & happy employees.

I recommend go hungry because they put more than enough food on your plate. Potato wedge appetizer is a meal for three people by itself. Food was great, very plentiful, very good. Go early because it fills up fast, but worth the wait if you have too.

Food: Really good food, with a very big portion size. Everything at this place has huge portions compared to some other restaurants I have been to. The quality is great and so is the taste.

Drinks: Very well maintained beer selection with a full bar.

Service: Very good, friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive servers and staff members.

Price: Based on the portion size, it's priced as such. If you compare to other restaurants though, I feel like it's acceptable.

Overall, it's a great place, with great food, great service, and a well maintained restaurant. Will definitely go back!

Very clean restaurant, the food is also really good and service is excellent.

The steak was good, but the sides were tasteless, the chowder was way too thick as if they added flour to it and also tasteless. The beer selection was good but overpriced and the dining room was very cold. But the single worst was the attitude and arrogance of the owner/host. Will not be going back.

They have decent bar food standards and very good portions, but the real star of this show is their rotating draft list. A great place for beer enthusiasts. Beware of crowds on weekends.

I eat at places all over the country as my work takes me there. Dining out when in my home town area is usually at places I already like. A wonderful salesgirl Kayla, at Tom Hesser, located nearby, suggested trying this place. Not only was our food fantastic, (Cajun prime rib wrap, and crumbled bleu cheese burger), but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate special tastes! This place will definitely be one of my stops when I'm home again!!!!

Large portions, food was above average, prices for quality and quantity makes this place a must stop. I've been here before for beer and wings but this was the first time for diner. Bacon wraped shrimp, seafood bisque(actual seafood in it) and mixed veggies for 17. Highly recomend.

My family absolutely LOVES The Loading Dock! The food is fantastic, the workers are equally as fantastic and the overall feel of the restaurant is very family oriented. Probably the best restaurant in the area hands down. The prices are amazing for the amount of food that is given, I haven't once left there without having at least a lunch/dinner for the next day!!

Food portions are huge and I really love the samplers because they offer a variety of different foods to try, but is also very filling if you don't like cheese I wouldn't recommend it, I usually call my order in and pick it up to avoid the huge crowds

I went here for the first time with a coworker and it was really great food. Though the restaurant is small. It doesnt feel cramped. The staff was friendly and prompt. The only confusing thing was that 4 different people came to our table during the meal so i am not sure who was actually our waiter. Overall, loved it. Deff recommend the signature wrap!

Service is HORRIBLE!! Read reviews on Facebook and trip advisor. The one heavier waitress with the dark brown hair, extremley rude!!! She gave us our food and never checked on us again, we had to flag down a manager to get our bill.

The food was DISGUSTING!
The seafood bisque was a big ball of glue. It was cold and inedible. I didn't touch it and the waitress wouldn't take it off our bill! The hamburger was some low quality frozen patty on a Keizer roll for 15 bucks. The steak wrap was soggy and full of grease. Seriously INEDIBLE!!

This place has excellent food, good selection of draft beers, a friendly staff. I ordered their special wrap, It was fantastic, the sauce they use has great flavor. I highly recommend this place

Good, diverse menu! A little pricier than I'd expect, but the quality and quantity of food is excellent. Good atmosphere, too.

Huge portions! Usually busy but it's worth the wait. Their secret sauce is very tasty. Great burgers, fries and wraps! Would recommend. They also have tons of craft beer with live displays of the kegs.

The Loading Dock is one of those gems that you kind of want to keep to yourself. Honestly, you can't go wrong with ordering food here. The Signature Steak Wrap is slamming! It is so addicting to eat. The ribs dinner is phenomenal. For $18, you get a choice of soup or salad and let me tell you, the salad is huge..2-3 portions worth. The seafood bisque soup is delicious too! Then you get these buttery mashed red potatoes and a full rack of ribs...no..not like a Fridays rack of ribs. The amount you get is enough to feed 2 people and feel satisfied. Even the crab cakes are good. The cheese steak is good too. You can taste the quality of the meat...(not that steak Sums box). The owner is amazing and he truly loves his business. Its clean and everything look professional. I totally recommend you to go if you can.

Way beyond my expectations! This place delivers on all fronts, from some of the best service I've ever encountered , to the custom made food I ordered... That's right , I wanted a buffalo chicken quesadilla and man did they deliver a masterpiece. It was loaded with crispy buffalo chicken , cheese , and an outstanding chunky blue cheese dressing.
If you happen to pass through the Dunmore , PA area.... Do Not Hesitate! You will be happy you stopped. Oh and I forgot to mention , great prices as well! I Give this place 5 stars +++!!

Huge potions, great food, great service at a great price.

My husband and I just got home from having dinner at The Loading Dock . We both had Caesar Salad, Salmon with a crab sauce and Baked Potato.
As always, everything was the absolute BEST in this area. If you have not been there, you have to try it. You will not be disappointed.

Great atmosphere for any interaction groups for dates, singles, college, family, hangouts. A place to chill watch the game drink any of their rare taps( drinks are pricy) eat any of their huge portioned meals. A bit of an expense to come but kinda worth it if you want to get your grub on, meet up or just chill. Other then the one pun of it being an expense to eat or drink here is the non sale of any sort of alcoholic shots. I'm a regular here and won't be leaving. 1

Terrible service. You take pickup orders until 730, i call at 7 and get sent straight to voicemail. Can't leave a voicemail your memory is full. Easier to say you don't want business after 7 pm. Used to love this place, now i will not eat here or pick up again.

Absolutely fantastic!
A little slow to greet, but the food made up for it. From the starter wings to the fresh garden salad to the full rack of ribs, not one item was disappointing. I strongly feel that this restaurant is under pricing its menu. They could likely charge 50% more. They charge $7.75 for 10 wings, I would gladly pay $11. The ribs at $17.75, they are easily worth $25 or $26. This is a must eat establishment. If I am I the area again, I will be stopping in here for sure.

My favorite place to stop by in Scranton! The service is always very friendly and quick, the food is delicious and the portions are big so there's something to take home. They're got a changing selections of beers that are fun to try off.

Long wait to be seated but to be expected at 6:30 on a Saturday night. It was well worth the wait. Service and food we're both great!
