It is a lovely theatre. The pantomime of sleeping beauty was such a laugh , I haven't been to a panto for year's and it was fun to get into the spirit of it and cheer the goodies and booooo! the baddies in black :) Nice and warm inside and all the staff make you feel very welcome.

You can't beat the magic of a play at the everyman with its on going reputation for producing top stars this stage has a magic all of its own and with it being a small enclosed theatre you are right in the thick of the action too. So the atmosphere can revert from tense electric or joyous and there's a superb cafe to warm you up too.

The Everyman Theatre in its "new" building. Be prepared for crowd immersion as you merge with the actors. Great rep company, great venue for theatre. Everyone misses the old bistro, which was as much of a Liverpool institution as anything could be, the new basement bar is soulless, and locals voted with their feet and rarely populate it, but without the terrible redesign of the "new Bistro" we might not have got the Pen Factory next door, which almost but not quite recreates the original Everyman Bistro vibe.

In the beginning there was the Everyman, a friendly, comfortable theatre, rebuilt in the 1960s, & the Everyman bistro in the basement. The former was excellent, and produced many great productions (& actors), while the latter was an essential cornerstone of many nights out.
The second rebuild has produced a truly great performance space and has managed to balance comfort for the audience and a stylish design. The only slight caveat concerns the bar. It's more accessible and comfortable, but lacks the "Stalinist soup kitchen" charm of the earlier bistro.
Perhaps the latest edition just needs a little loving?

I ve been coming to the Everyman rock n roll panto for years. The actors are so talented! They Play their own instruments as well! On select nights the Everyman have audio description and touch tours. I ve also seen several plays by the Everyman rep company such as the big I am. Fidler on the roof and paint your wagon. All of them have been excellent! I can t wait to see what s on offer this year. Keep up the good work!

Great Theatre near the centre of Liverpool. We went for an afternoon matinee and saw Sweeney Todd. The musical was very good and the accoustics were fantastic throughout. Seating was good, however I recommend a seat at the very front to really immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the play. Parking for the venue was very easy and only a 5 minute walk away (pay and display).

Fantastic little theatre with a brilliant refurbishment. Little coffee shop/bar also really love with helpful staff members and good drinks. Prices as expected. Variety of shows really good: have been to see a pantomime one week and then seen Shakespeare's Mabeth the next. Well worth a visit and beautiful surrounding area.
