Lock your stuff up. Skis were stolen from rack 15 feet from and in sight of front desk. Dec 28th around 515pm.
Spoke with Jen Gilmore. First she said they don't get a lot of theft, so to wait a couple days and see if someone brings them back, and that then she would look at the surveillance video.
After that didn't pan out, she states there is no point in looking at the video because it wouldn't do any good to know what the person looks like, unless she knew him. Turns out she has a name of the person she thinks took them, but won't give it up.
I want the name Jen. Do the right thing.
While filing a theft report, the officer said theft is common here. So lock your stuff up.
I liked this place. But this is crap.

Ok place to ski but that is about it. Very disappointing experience. Three weeks ago stopped in to reserve several high top tables for March 5. Marcell who is a friend of my boyfriends was playing in the Chalet. March 5 being my boyfriends birthday we thought what an awesome place to get together to celebrate. When we arrived they had NO high top tables reserved for our party of 12 which later turned out to be 17. When asked to talk to the manager she informed us that they didn't reserve high tops. We probably should have been told that when we originally reserved them. Regardless they didn't reserve any low tops for us either. We ordered pizzas never once were we asked how they tasted. We asked for a waitress to take drink orders. Never happened. We had to go up to the bar to get our own over priced drinks. I had to clear the tables and take the dirty plates and pizza pans back to the kitchen myself. We had an awesome time thanks to Marcell Guyton but we will definitely think twice before planning a group get together here again. Terrible service all across the board.

Visited Little Switzerland for the first time on Monday 2/25/19. The teenage girl working the lift at the front of the hill to the right of the lodge was INCREDIBLY rude. Stuck to the back of the hill after that. Runs were fun, if a little short, enjoyed the variety.

We brought our kids, ages 11and 9, for the first time on a busy Saturday. The kids took a group lesson with Steve and Matt (so worth it for first timers). Steve and Matt were awesome! The staff is fabulous, energetic and super friendly. Every staff member from the ticket counter to the restaurant waitress had a great attitude. Even though it was busy, there was plenty of room for all the kids on the hill and the restaurant had tasty food too.
Thank you for a great first time experience for our kids. We loved every minute and we can't wait to come back.

I recently took back-to-back skiing lessons. I had Cam A. as an instructor and I just have to say that he was very patient, encouraging and personable. Not only do I feel like I can get on the slopes with confidence enough to not injure myself or others unintentionally, but I am excited to take more lessons and enjoy the WI winters a great deal moreso than in previous years. Every crew member I was in contact with at Little Switzerland was not only kind, but very accommodating. A great bunch of people working there!!! It was a fantastic experience!!!

We love bringing our children back to Little Switzerland every year! They absolutely love being able to navigate the hills on their own now, and we can relax and enjoy ourselves knowing they are having a great time. The staff from beginning to end and everyone in between is friendly, helpful, and courteous. We have forgotten key clothing items in the past, and Jen and Gretchen were amazing and helped us with what we needed. Thank you to everyone behind the scenes for all your hard work to give so many people a great skiing experience so close to home!

I ve gone several times this season and each time it s always a blast and I can t wait to come back!

CORRECTED RATING: Little Switzerland is a wonderful ski area (understand that this is by southeastern Wisconsin standards, so don't expect huge runs) and very family friendly. I have been visiting the hill for over 20 years and always have an enjoyable experience. Their staff is knowledge and friendly. The equipment they rent is very good, and they have a terrific assortment of food and beverage items available.

I have been coming to Little Switz since I was a young girl, and I've never had a bad experience. The staff are kind and friendly, and the inside restaurant & bar are we phenomenal. We tried the Little Switz Amber beer and I was really impressed how they nailed the Midwestern brown ale. A great place with great memories, I can't wait to bring my own children someday!

Like some other reviews have said, this may be an okay place for beginners to test out the water but doesn t provide an overall pleasant skiing/snowboarding experience. Even with the amount of snow we ve had in WI, there re icy spots all over the ski area, especially in the lift unloading areas. There were attendants but they were just sitting in their little cabins instead of grooming the snow and covering up the ice. Considering the rather cheap lift price, I really couldn t complain much about this though. Rentals, on the other hand, are way overpriced. I brought my own boots so I don t know about their boots. But the board and the bindings were pretty worn up obviously been quite a few years and not well maintained.
All in all, I wouldn t go back to this place.

This ski resort reopened a few years ago and is fantastic. The Schmitz brothers have done a lot to improve an already great ski resort and their enthusiasm is contagious and rubbed off on all of their employees. They are focused on you having fun! Prices are reasonable and competitive for the area. The lodge has been redone and is beautiful. The upper level has a big bar area with spectacular views of the hill. They also serve food that is very tasty off the menu in a nice dining room big enough to accommodate big groups. The ski hill has added a lot of new snow guns this year so they have been able to open early and can continue to make more snow as long as it's cold enough. Their snow making ability is what really helps when Mother Nature won't cooperate. The staff in the ski rental area is very helpful whether you need skis, poles, boots, helmets or boards and there is also a nice shop to purchase items you may have forgotten for your day. The ski areas have many different skill levels so all in your group can ski regardless of skiing abilities. The terrain park also has several different skill areas so a good place to learn boarding and then improve on your skills. They have wonderful ski instructors who genuinely want to help you learn how to ski. There is also a nice beginner area for the little tots or even those of us who are learning as adults. I strongly recommend this ski resort as the place to go for a fun filled day on the slopes.

Little Switzerland is a great skiing hill located ...
Little Switzerland is a great skiing hill located in Slinger Wisconsin. The lift employees are very professional and polite. I always look forward to spending the day and then eating dinner at the ski in/ ski out restaurant. The ski patrol are also very nice if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask them. However, there are a few negatives about this hill, one would be when it gets very crowded. Lift lines can be really long and you end up spending more time on the lift than actually skiing. Recently, I have noticed a strange difference on their social media page linked to their business. It surprises me to see some of the comments that they posted to a customer, of which are very rude and simply very unprofessional. (see photo below)
I ski all over the united states and follow many ski hill closely and I have never ran into a comment where a company stated to a customer Maybe you should stick to fishing, then there d be one less jerry out here. In which they later deleted.
I give the hill a simply based off of the fact that the hill is very well maintained and most of the lift staff is very nice. The food is good upstairs and reasonably priced. But the fact that they made a very rude comment to a customer brought down the rating by 2 stars.

Great place to ski if you bring your own equipment. I rented equipment from them and they made it quite difficult to get the correct equipment that you are used to using. They made me take skis that were way to short for me even though I told them what I need when I first got there. The staff outside was superb!

Had our wedding rehearsal and reception here. The staff was so nice, very accommodating, and great at communicating. They made sure everything was set up for us before we came in to decorate and helped us decorate, they even made some signs for us. The food was excellent and reasonably priced with large portions (the beef tips were amazing). They had plenty of drink choices but not an overwhelming amount. They made strawberry lemonade and sangria that was a huge hit with everyone. A large dance floor, fully stocked bar, and a quiet back room that we set up board games in. They made sure everything ran smoothly and both nights went perfectly.
If you're looking to have an event here you won't be disappointed.

Little Switzerland in Slinger, Wisconsin is not a ...
Little Switzerland in Slinger, Wisconsin is not a resort and barely earns the distinction of being a "ski area". The hill looks to be about the same size as a landfill. The people that work here appear to be locals with no more professionalism than carnies (carnival ride operators, you know the type, dirty, unshaven and stinky). If you like to ski landfills then Little Switzerland is for you. The ski runs are tiny and if you blink while you ski them you'll have missed it. There is terrain for snowboarders but again, tiny, dirty and crowded. After being bored out of your mind you might want to have something to eat from their restaurant on the premises...only thing is bring lots of money because the food is expensive. You're better off just walking down the street to Subway. Not to mention the grossly overpriced lift ticket (40 bucks on the weekend) and 33 bucks for rental skis you're basically talking about a hundred bucks per person to ski or snowboard on what amounts to a hill the size of a landfill. You are much better off going to Cascade or Sunburst where you get a lot more for the money.

The staff was non responsive/helpful and you could really tell most of them didn't want to be there. They were pretty rude telling me which side to get on the lift in a snappy manner.. I've never been there before... No smiles, no one there to ask for help finding how to get to a run. The runs are very short (you can hit all of them multiple times in less than an hour). I watched a young kid get hit by a lift behind me because the attendant wasn't paying attention..
The two big cons to this hill and why it got so poor of a review is the design of the lift/runs. You have to really really plan out your runs / figure out where you want to go into advance because they make it really hard to go down the same run you just went on.. Also the lift offloading areas are very small and NOT snowboard friendly... The best run is the black on the north side of the hill (aka it should be a green) and it's at the top of the pull rope (and it's hard to get there because it doesn't take you all the way). Then it goes into the training area and it's really hard to get back to the rest of the lifts...
For these reasons I left after spending two hours on the hill. I'm not sure If I'd go back. I'm sure it's really nice spot for local skiers or boarders who like terrain parks who don't want to drive to Wausau WI, Michigan or Chestnut.

My son has enjoyed his first season of snowboardin...
My son has enjoyed his first season of snowboarding here upon joining his school s ski club. The package rate was priced well with the school, and I was so pleased that he was also given a loyalty savings card to use throughout the rest of the season. The price for the lift ticket and rentals it s such a fantastic savings for both weekdays and weekends with this card. This gave me financial relief knowing that I could utilize these savings for my son to have the opportunity to snowboard outside of the designated ski club trips.
Although, I was so disappointed this evening, as I apparently neglected to notice the asterisk below the pricing on the savings card, which stated that it excluded Friday from 4 PM to 9:30 PM. This is literally the only time throughout the week where the savings do not apply, and it just so happened to be the exact time frame that I dropped my son off with his friend for a fun Friday night of snowboarding. However, it was definitely not fun for me to get the phone call from him stating that he needed more money, as the ticket and rental prices return to their standard rates for these 5.5 hours, while the savings rate applies to all other open hours of operation. As my son had already purchased a lift ticket, there was not an option to return home and come back another day, as I would have lost even more money due to the ticket being nonrefundable. With a lump in my throat, I payed the additional cost, as he was too excited to be there for me to create a fuss. Needless to say, I was pretty bummed knowing that I payed over twice the rate than expected this evening. If he does continue to enjoy the sport at the end of the season, I will definitely avoid this by getting him the early bird season pass next year.

For a small(er) hill, this place has a lot of variety. The terrain parks are a nice feature, and you can watch other people get air from the lodge inside. If you're looking for a good park to practice your arials, this place is great.
This park is also well-maintained by what appears to be a parent company that also owns Nordic Mountain. They have new snow machines, constantly groom the terrain parks and regularly groom their 18 trails.

The ski area is nice, there's a nice selection of hill. I rented a helmet and snowboard boots from them, I have a board. When I was returning them the staff lost my rental sheet and I was accused multiple times by a very angry women of taking it with me. Low and behold they actually opened their eyes and found the sheet in the "already returned" section. The women did not apologize for her rudeness. Next time I'll go to Wilmot Mt to snowboard. The service is not good here.

I love this place in the winter, but even more surprising is the stuff you can do in summer! I recently ran an Alpine Challenge here with my sister and girlfriend and they really put on a good course that was fun for us to participate in! Definitely give this place a look sometime and you won't be disappointed!
