Many of the animals weren't out and some animals we were hoping to see were no longer there.
Many of the animals weren't out and some animals we were hoping to see were no longer there.
Great for a day out with family. Fun interaction with farm animals.
Most amazing staff,, beautiful animals, and while there's always room for improvement, this Zoo truly seems to be striving to improve in every way they can. I actually find most of these negative comments to be "bogus". I mean these are REAL, LIVE animals.....you'd think they had expected stuffed animals dangling on someone's puppet strings. The staff can't walk into every exhibit throughout the day to get each animal to POSE in the ideal exhibit location just because someone happens to have paid to view them. ANYway......it's a great Zoo and I'm looking forward to seeing all the new things to come.
It is a smaller zoo. The animal enclosures are pretty small but it has a big variety of animals
This is a nice little zoo. My only disappointment was when we were asked to move on when a momma Kudu was giving birth. Me and my wife were quietly watching, while a group of about 6 zoo workers were chatting away and making far too much noise themselves. Also, no snack bars were open, even though we were there a few hours before the zoo closed.
Lots of construction and closed exhibits. Will be back when done.
The enclosures at the Little Rock Zoo are FAR too small for most of the animals. Many of the animals showed signs of self mutation and stereotyping. It was nice to see the variety of species the zoo offers but I was deeply sadden by the zoo's choice of quantity over quality
Very nice zoo to walk through. Clean and animals appear well taken care of. Employees were very nice and welcoming!!
Great zoo in the heart of Little Rock. Love the new farm exhibit and the old standbys like the big cats and bears. Amazing to see the gorillas and fun reptiles too!
Delish amazing animals to see and delish cafe I enjoyed it very much
Awesome place, they are taking care of the animals and have foundation to help the ones are in danger. It s not huge but it s a great family place for the weekend and make sure to trim the twist fries there delicious.
I enjoyed the time with MI family, but not many animals were out.
It was nice and clean, all kinds of animals. I have been twice and would like to go again.
Guest services is worse than the TSA. As a member you have to show multiple forms of ID. Non-members and members share the same line even on weekends.
Animals are on point though.
The exhibits were great! It was a very fun experience...
It was well maintained but the animals need a lot more room . Gift shop and curtius employees.
A fun day for the family. As you would expect, there is lots of walking and you are at the mercy of the weather.
Maybe things will improve when the updates are finished.
We have been several times and it is always great ever now and then they are moving exhibits around or doing construction so a few animals are not out but they have more than enough to please
I took my family to this zoo. It was a total waste of my money and time.yes they had a lot of construction going on but they also had a bunch of the animal's put up for there habitat to get cleaned I guess. More than what was needed was closed up and it was due to covid 19. (They claimed). So what was to be seen.lol not much besides people working and places closed.also still full price go figure. I hope everyone read the reviews before going to this place to waste your money and time. Take it from a father that has a daughter with a rare eye disease and wants to show her the world before she is not able to see the world any longer and I made the mistake to waste her time here. To me her time to see is more important than any amount of money
Ok zoo, but exhibits don't rival any other zoo that I have been to (St. Louis, Fort Worth, etc.) Too expensive for what you get.
Great place. If you wanna see the animals active you need to plan for a nice cool but sunny day.
Pretty Zoo with lots of updates. Not quite as big as others (I.e. Memphis)
My favorite place in Little Rock to take my girlfriend
This place is a lot of fun for the entire family. They have a wide variety of animals and the staff is amazing!
It is a smaller zoo and has a smaller amount of each animal also, but we still had fun and enjoyed looking at the animals.
It was cold when we went so several animals were not out.
Our zoo is amazing! The staff and exhibits are great!
It was interesting but not as big as,others I have been too but the kids, seem, to like it ok
Pleasant experience but to expense at the time. The bears were in hibernation and there were no giraffes. I liked it when you didn't have to pay separate for train and carousel. Many children would love to visit zoo but the price for a family is hard on the pocketbook
What a Wonderful day at the zoo! Took my neice and Sister and we had the Best time. The Temperature was a high of 64F and overcast. All the animals were enjoying the nice weather too. None of them were hiding or laying around, they were all out and active. One of the best times we have had at any zoo in many years. Thank You Little Rock Zoo and keep up the hard work!
Hours of operation are too short. Entry is allowed from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with all guests having to be gone by 5:00 pm. In summer, the hours should be extended out at least an hour in evenings! This zoo, however, is so small that it can be seen in an hour and a half.
Wait for the free weekend in July.... if you can afford the $13... but all mean go in...Little Rock Zoo I would consider changing your price a little.... Half price on certain days for Little Rock residents... as an resident of the city....I m happy we have one....
Clean with a good layout, family friendly. Lots to see!
Animals cannot be seen by kids. Alot of exibits are closed. Call before you come to make sure they are open.
This wasn't a bad zoo, but there was a lot of construction and a ton of exhibits were closed! But, I understand they're trying to improve things. I do recommend they update their signs, there were several times we were walking around in circles trying to determine where we should be.
We had a great time. The animals looked well cared for. Their area's were very clean well kept. The only thing I would like to see is more room for the elephants.
Great employees. Boo at the Zoo is a nice edition to Little Rock area.
Expensive zoo and not enough animal to be impressed
Great family fun food someone options and u can feed anIkeamals along the way
Surprisingly nice for its location. Great variety of animals. Impressed by the snack bar , ordered a pizza tasted great. Penguins were a little hard to see . Love the many misting spray stations. Great way to keep cool. Wish the train went around the park, a longer route maybe. Gift shop was nice too.
Not impressed with this zoo animals were skinny. It was raining so all the snack shacks were closed. So was the restaurant very disappointed.
Don't go on Sunday.. just a few concession stands are open
My son loves it. love feeding the koi. Usually go early spring when all the animals are showing off and stretching their legs!
Little Rock Zoo is always a fun time! The food vendors are pricey though.
Most of the staff are great and very knowledgeable, a couple acted as if visitors were an inconvenience.
You are at the mercy of the animals as to whether or not you can see them and when, because understandably, they have shelter in the habitats to hide in.
This zoo definitely needs more animals.
It was a great place. Don't go during the heat of the day the animals will not be out
A lot Animals off display due to construction It was ok
My kids enjoyed most of it. A lot of the exhibits were closed and it wasn't as big as I thought it would be.
I love taking my toddler to the zoo. The carousel, farm area, and fish give her lots to do. She loves feeding them!
Grateful to see improvements and additions to the zoo past couple of years. We came for the lion birthday party which was great ! But we intended on having lunch in the cafe and hanging around til closing. But apparently you believe that this is winter... with winter hours closing the cafe at a peak time of a perfect zoo day. Bad call in my opinion. No other decent overprized FOOD available. :-/ ...so our family is hungry and now must leave to eat.
Some giraffes would be great ;-)
We went to Boo at the Zoo!! It was amazing!! We had a blast! I would recommend anyone to go!!!
Very good beautiful place to take children to enjoy a bit of the fauna of different parts of the world that cannot be accessed so easily
it was fun but a lot of the exhibits where empty or under construction. also couldn't pet the animals in tue petting zoo due to corona.
Not the best zoo, but ok. The animals habitats and general landscaping around the zoo was dirty and unkept. It's actually kind of small as well. Not terribly priced, and the ability to observe most animals was pretty good. Not much interaction activities at all, in fact none when we were there. Worth a visit if you're marking off zoos on your list, but have seen much better.
Love this zoo every time I go it brings me back to the good old days when I was just a boy I had so much fun here and now I have a son of my own and I'm taking him next mth to this amazing zoo it well be his bday he be 1 years old so I'm show him a good time like I had here when I was just a boy love this zoo and I well all ways love it for ever this place holds a lot of good memories that I'll never for get!!
Lots of construction currently going on here. Many paths are blocked.
I love this zoo! It's a park setting and has a carousel, a train, and a few really nice play areas for the kids, one is directly in front of a cafe so taking a break and having lunch while still being able to watch the kids play is a nice bonus! The best part is it's not crowded so if you have kids with autism or special needs like mine you can actually enjoy yourself and take your time looking at all the exhibits and animals. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, it doesn't seem super new or state of the art but I mean who comes to the zoo to see technology anyways!? Plenty of animals of all diffrent types to see some up really close!
This zoo was very disappointing. The enclosures and animals were pathetically neglected.
Great Zoo but has an Arkansas Taste to it, being from New Orleans it was quite small compared to the Zoo there.
Smallish Zoo, beautifully kept. Animals are well cared for!
Has quite a bit to see! The bear exhibit was under construction but we also went in January so not a prime time to go. Lots of different animals though!
Zoo is fine, don't always see many of the animals. Never see the cheetahs.
I love the Zoo! I am disappointed though that there were no giraffes, the water displays were all empty inside the exhibits. And I feel you could find use for some empty spaces around the zoo. I think you have plenty of places where elephant ear plants, tulips, gladiolus and hyacinths could be planted to beautify the zoo. And feel that what water exhibits you do have need to have grass carps placed in them to help clean up some of them. And by all means more Koi fish.
