It's all we have. There is no other central arkansas zoo, so how much can I say? It's expensive, you have to pay to park, the animals are always hiding (can you blame them) and The carousel and train ride are too expensive. But we have no choice unless we want to go to Memphis. And they know this. Also, don't even price a bday party.

Don't waste your time riding the train! You only go around the area where the petting zoo is and it only last 3 minutes! Every zoo we have visited we rode the train and this has been our worst experience!

For a smaller city Little Rock has a great zoo. All the animals you expect and now with a farm animal exhibit where you can feed and pet them. I also want to call out there are two nice playgrounds.

I love this zoo, but the cages were largely empty and under maintenance during our visit this last time. I know it was not peak time on a Tuesday morning. But that's why we went then was to miss the crowds. But they had several animals missing for maintenance.

Very clean, lots of new animal exhibits & areas, disappointed that many animals weren't out available to see, but it was extremely hot summer day. Had to stop to cool off & rest several times thru the zoo during heat of the day

Went early to avoid the heat of the day, seen very few animals out..paid way too much to see a handful of animals. Why open at 9 if you're not going to have the animals out & ready to be enjoyed by paying customers. We'll make the drive to St. Louis next time we want to see a good zoo.

At a time when coronavirus cases are at their highest this zoo was full of people without masks. No one bothered to enforce the mandatory masking mandate ... even when zoo staff was notified of the issue. In fact, they were allegedly told by upper management that they could not enforce this mandate.

Terribly disappointing!! We took my 3yr old twin granddaughters today, May 20, for their first trip to a zoo. Many exhibits didn't have any animals at all in them and others were under construction. The carousel wasn't working or not open. The bear education area supposedly was to end on May 21st, yet nobody was there either. The bear exhibits only had 1 species of bear and the others were empty. The cafe was extremely expensive, it cost $30 for the 4 of us to eat. The map/brochure even said in at least 2 places to please excuse the construction or areas not accessible to see any animals, but it doesn't say that anywhere before you enter. For $10 per child, $13 per adult and $3 to park I would have taken them somewhere else!

Good for a small zoo. Not too expensive (except the train ride was $3/adult and lasted about 3 minutes.) Some exhibits are empty from time to time but it's well laid out and additions and upgrades are in the works (May 2019.) Much better than it was a decade ago.

It's not horrible although it is overpriced. The memphis zoo is much better. With that being said its nice for young kids to see some exotic animals. The penguins and the birds were my favorite part.

The Little Rock Zoo is somewhat smaller than the better-known zoos in Memphis and St. Louis, but they have a wide variety of animal exhibits. Over the last 20 years, the Little Rock Zoo has been renovating the exhibits to provide more humane homes for its animals. Like at most zoos, prices at the gift shop and cafe are steep, but that's one of the ways that all zoos pay for their upkeep.

Amazing and friendly staff I only rate 4 just because of less animals other than that the staff here is very friendly and polite respectful. They do give a back ground of animals and the way they treated me was amazing I would go back in summer again to see more animals

One of my families favorite Central Arkansas destinations for a day trip. Take the kids, learn about some animals, and even grab some eats around the zoo as you walk around. If your looking for something fun for kids or without, I recommend checking out the Little Rock Zoo!

For a small city, the Little Rock zoo has an amazing variety of animals from all over the world! Cheetah, Lion, Tiger, Bears, Otters, reptiles, tropical birds, etc. Africa Cafe has quick n easy food and drink choices. There is a train and a carousel, farm exhibit, play areas.

It's been too many years to remember since I have visited the LR ZOO. I've heard of the improvements being made over time & I must say great job! War Memorial Park as a whole is an attraction that the city can be boast about. It was hot but the cooling stations spread throughout the zoo helped immensely! My 6y/o & 2y/o grands loved the refreashing mist! We will come again to spend an entire day after the temps cool down....Nana can't handle the heat, lol. But we love the LR ZOO

Opens to public at 9 am, we arrived and entered the park at 930 and close to half of the exhibits were closed (animals locked inside) and being cleaned..seems like they could have done this before opening to the public so we could have seen all the animals we paid to see
