I was visiting Brighton on a birthday trip from London, absolutely appalled by the Sunday roast I had lamb which was undercooked and resulted to me getting food poising. My friend had chicken which was dry and tasteless as well as the potatoes. Overpriced isn t the word, terrible service once seated will not be coming back! Toby carvery is better than here and you pay half the price! Defo not worth it

Love this place. Proper pubby old pub inside, quirky and comfortable. My fave is the downstairs bar area. Always a dog and friendly people having a nice time.
Food is really good, it gets so busy but there is more room upstairs.

Traditional pub, not very exciting.

Traditional pub, not very exciting.

Could do with updating.

No vegan options in Brighton is a tactical mistake.

There's no phone signal in here unfortunately, I tried two different networks. Couldn't see a WiFi code anywhere.

Traditional pub at the boundary between Brighton and Hove. Fresh and tasty food. Nice Sunday roast. Great atmosphere. Although the cheese board is a bit disappointing; perhaps one of the worst I ve had in Brighton so far.

This Tardis like pub has room after room and rambles over several floors including at least 2 outside terraces and a restaurant area. Food is good and varied and served until late. Not cheap but in line with what you expect to pay in central Brighton. Loads of atmosphere, friendly staff and customers . Excellent jazz on Sunday evenings.

Great vibe in here, but the food was pretty poor to be honest. If it wasn't for my amazing company it would be 2 stars! Ale was tasty though! L&L is a top vibe though and I know people have def had good munch in there i think i just got unlucky :-)

Don't believe the hype about the food, it's pretty mediocre these days. It used to be much better but now they're just cashing in. Good beer and atmosphere though, just don't expect much from the food.

Great pub, off the beaten track and renowned amongst 'Brightonians' as having the best, 3 storey, outside space going complete with bars and weatherproof TV's.

The main entrance bar opens up and the place wraps around giving you plenty of seating and hidey holes.

A decent pub with standard beer and ale selection the wine list was a refreshing surprise. I enjoyed a large glass of the Rioja with my sirloin steak medium rare with a thick and well seasoned cracked peppercorn sauce. The waiting staff was a little disappointing. Upon ordering an orange gin from the bar I was greeted with trepidation from the bar staff who provided me an unsolicited warning that my drink may be overpriced. Apart from this, table service was quick and well received. I would recommend this pub to my friends with the warning that it could be found wanting in regard to its treatment of dinner guests.

We had an amazing dinner here in the restaurant upstairs - the staff in the pub were so friendly and directed us upstairs despite is being early.

I would recommend the fish sharing board as it was an absolutely delicious and had a great selection to choose from.

I had the pork schnitzel for main and it was enormous yet beautifully cooked. Our waitress was so lovely and accommodating without disturbing us too much.

I would suggest this place to people looking for an upmarket pub lunch/dinner with something a little different to choose from than your average place.

This is great Brighton pub. Food is always pretty good. A fairly wide beer selection with more of a focus on real ale that craft beer. Nice atmosphere, massive roof terrace and stays open late!

Some time ago I booked a table and when I arrived my friends and I were seated at a table where the serving staff were bumping into me while serving other guests.
The steak was undercooked, and after sending it back, I received the same piece of meat but it was black, tough and inedible!
Needless to say that made for a very uncomfortable evening!
The next time I booked a table for three, we were placed on a round table that would barely fit two dinner plates!
On that occasion, when I told them we were going to leave, a suitable table somehow magically became available!

What a great boozer traditional boozer with a fair selection of beers. Downstairs a warren of sections including a large screen showing sport (and smaller more discreet screens throughout the pub). On the second floor a restaurant serving awesome food (or you can eat anywhere in the pub - don't forget to checkout the specials board). On the top deck the pub opens up to a roof terrace which is a great suntrap, unknown to most punters who don't venture past the ground floor.

Amazing food and good service. I highly recommend for a full lunch meal on a Sunday. You can make online reservations on their website, which I'd recommend because they are quite busy on weekends.

A very nice pub although they were a bit out of the center of brighton worth a walk and little else and enjoy this beautiful and comfortable pub. Food is served until 11, the dishes are blunt serving hamburgers and dishes typical of English food. Prices are normal

Visited after seeing reviews online, and I'm pleased that we did. Decor is fantastic, staff are fun, and the atmosphere is great. Clearly a very popular pub, and for good reason. Had a few of the craft beers on tap, and they were great.

Super nice and cosy pub but the food options seemed somewhat limited and the meals weren't really anything special. Would be a great place to have a few pints with mates, not a dinner with family.

5 stars for atmosphere and publike coziness with plenty of Brighton funky character. Always busy. We tried restaurant food - small portions - average pub fare. Prefer the bar food but hard to get a bar table ! Definately need to reserve to secure table.

Spread over three floors, this establishment offers something for everyone, from the cozy pub area to the elegant Regency Restaurant and the hidden terrace that's perfect for warm summer evenings.

Speaking of meals, Lion and Lobster has plenty to offer on that front as well. The Regency Restaurant serves up delicious food made from locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Of course, no visit to Lion and Lobster would be complete without trying some of their excellent drinks selection. They have an extensive wine list featuring bottles from all over the world as well as local beers on tap including Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter which is brewed just down the road in Lewes.

But what really sets Lion and Lobster apart from other pubs in Brighton is its hidden terrace. Tucked away at the back of the building behind an unassuming door lies a beautiful outdoor space that's perfect for enjoying drinks or dinner al fresco during warmer months.

Booking online at LionandLobster.co.uk couldn't be easier either - simply select your preferred date/time/number of guests then sit back knowing everything will be taken care of when you arrive!
