Cool pub! Don t be disheartened if you need to consult a series of ancient maps and commission an expeditionary force to find the upstairs beer garden, it s worth it. The interior is interesting, and there s a good atmosphere.

Amazing Sunday roast at a reasonable price. This is a really quirky old pub over 3floors with a roof terrace. Hunt this little gem out just off Brighton main drag and you won't be disappointed.

Our second year for a work's Christmas lunch at 'The Lion & Lobster' did not disappoint. The food was very tasty as was the service, particularly as the restaurant was fully booked and the pub very busy. The decor is dark and Dickension, think candle light, green wreaths and red velvet, all of which contributed to the atmosphere. My roast turkey was a generous portion and well presented, and my dessert luscious...

This place is written up as having the best Sunday roast in Brighton!!?weatherspoons could do a better job.lts expensive and the lamb shank with all the trimmings had no flavour. Was boring.l went to the Shakespeare Head last Sunday....that was delicious you could feel the love in the food.Dont waste your money here.

So me and my boy rocked in to get our grub on. The girl behind the bar had the comforting welcome skills of Eleven from Stranger Things inviting you into the upside down. We sat down and were shortly presented with 2 plates of hot slop. Half beef half chicken consisted of a piece of cow ear and a chickens knee if it had gigantism of the patella. My boys lamb wasn't on the plate at all and was later delivered on a separate plate looking like it had been sheared off the top of an expats head after falling asleep on the beach in benidorm for 12 hours. Cauliflower cheese looking like cauliflower ear out here. To top it off my G literally snapped his tooth on a POTATO. Come here if you like sub at service and dog food. Save your hard earned and go to Wetherspoons. The struggle is real out here feel me

Very disappointing. Went for the Sunday Roast. Staff we re untrained and unfamiliar with the menu. The food was bland and tasteless, except the vegetarian gravy which tasted of fish. Plenty of better places in Brighton for a good roast.

A lovely place for drinks and food. The environment is lovely there and always a good vibe. Food is delicious a d they do offer vegan and vegetarian options too so everyone is happy. Prices are not bad either. I will visit again.

Absolutely love this boozer! Full of charm and character, a proper traditional little watering hole! I tend to pop in around lunchtime for a couple of their fine ales. Bar staff are always spot on, service is excellent. Would recommend this place to any one that enjoys a good beer and a lovely homely atmosphere.
