The hospital arranged for transport to rehab facility, so I didn't really have any choice. Not only were they late, but the vehicle seemed to be old and in serious need of new shocks. The distance to the rehab facility was 37 miles, but they took me on a scenic tour of 54 miles.which cost me an additional $1300 in mileage charges. All in all, this hell-ride cost me $4600 beyond what the insurance company would pay.

The customer service for this company is extremely rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. To think these people are allowed to give assistance to people in need is mind blowing. I will never give my business to them again.
My brother was transported by 2 of your staff from Brigham & Women's Hospital to central Maine. When the ambulance arrived, they hauled my brother from the gurney to a stair chair, despite him being in a semi-comatose state, to get him in the house. He was in a hospital gown with nothing on his feet. They struggled to drag him into the house with his feet dragging on the cold April ground. They dumped him into the hospital bed then left. In the medical field, this is called a "dump and run". There was no written or verbal report. There was no hospital discharge paperwork at all. He was in significant pain, evidenced by moaning and groaning. We were not able to get his pain under control for at least 24 hours. The sad part of all of this is this man was for over 30 years, the EMS Director and Fire Chief of his town. The current Assistant Fire Chief and I spoke prior to my brother's arrival. He offered assistance from the EMS service or fire dept if needed. I offered to contact EMS for assistance after watching your employees struggle but they declined. It was very upsetting to his family who watched the whole ordeal. In all of his years of public service, I can assure you he treated each of his clients with dignity and respect, and NEVER would have physically treated the client the way your 2 employees manhandled him. Perhaps your employees need a refresher on how to treat the client with respect and dignity. I am a Registered Nurse with over 40 years of experience. I can honestly say this is the worst example of professional behavior in my entire career. Definitely not your shining moment Lifeline Ambulance Services. If I could give -5 stars I would.
They are a horrible service. My mom is in a rehab center and needed to be transferred to a hospital, they would not transfer her to the hospital we needed her to go to because they claimed that it was too far. However, they transferred her to a lesser hospital (she needed acute care, not regular care) that was 15 minutes further than the hospital we wanted. They endangered my 83 year old mother s life. NEVER let a love on use this service.
If I had the opportunity to show a lesser score, I would...
I wasn't in the vehicle (plate 463) yet what happened was not only uncalled for, it was silly as the driver was in the wrong.
I was at a light at exit 4 driving south in Nashua, NH in the outside lane to enter the on ramp (they were, obviously in the inside lane) when the vehicle took the turn wide and entered my lane. (The driver was not aggressive by any means) but was once again in my lane at this point.
When I passed said vehicle, I was greeted with high beams!?!?!
If I'm on my way out and get a driver like that, I'd be thrilled, but with no lights on that's not something my daughter (who will get her license in February needs to deal with as I'm pretty sure the actions of the driver doesn't change, much....
We were required by the hospital to use ambulatory services to transfer from the hospital to an outpatient facility due to "liability concerns". They did not need to administer medications or monitor vital signs on this transfer. They were strictly the ride from point A to point B. Almost 60 days later I received a bill that was just as much as the 5 day stay in the out patient facility (who did all of the above, plus fed 3 meals a day and snacks). I have called and left messages, with no return calls. Another time I did speak to a person, but the "system was down" and I needed to call back...No offer to take my number and information to call me. After looking closely at the bill, I was charged $77.50 a MILE. The government doesn't even pay that per mile. I am currently appealing the insurance company for payment, but still, being sent letters regarding collections if I don't send this $4k balance in. I left them a message stating that I was appealing the decision, but still no call back, just keeps sending demands. They are lucky they have the hospitals, because I can't imagine anyone willingly wanting to deal with this company. If they show up again, I will refuse their services. All the bad reviews and they don't even attempt to defend themselves. Says a lot about a company. Greedy and uncaring.
Billing department needs a lot of improvement. Put on hold, disconnected, put on hold again for Brittany, disconnected again. Third just rang & rang. Great way to conduct business
nothing like a suprise medical bill for $5,300 from an ambulance company you didn't choose. I would have ubered and tipped the guy $1K to run red lights to the hospital.
