Fantastic location, wonderful characterful club that looks after its guests. Was given a great tour by Emma, membership manager who clearly explained all the amazing benefits of being a member.

I have heard so many amazing things about The Library - having being greeted by the amazing Shannon Lawes, she talked me through everything and has been so helpful, I am really considering about becoming a member. She was so kind and made me feel comfortable, and I didn't feel forced in to making any decisions there and then! Thank you Shannon, if this lady if anything to go by, I can imagine all the staff are fabulous!

I have visited Library twice so far and have been very impressed with the place itself and the staff in particular. First time I visited was with a friend who was already a member, she had wanted to take me there for drinks for a while and when we finally got around to going I was extremely happy with the experience.
When we first arrived we were greeted in the reception by a staff member I believe was called Maja, she was very attentive and we chatted for a bit. We went to sit down for drinks and I couldn't help but notice how nicely the decor of the place had been done down to every detail. The drinks, of course, were absolutely lovely as well.
On our way out we got to talking to the receptionist again and I mentioned to her how I had found the atmosphere of the place extremely nice, and she offered to take me through their membership option should I ever be interested in that.
I considered it and phoned back today, almost a week later, and she was extremely kind and took her time in explaining the policies to me, remembering me and our conversations well from that night. I am almost certain I'll be going back to sign up for a membership myself.
Thank you to Maja for taking her time in talking to us, both as guests at Library being greeted before a perfect evening out and when I called back several days later. Five stars from me, no doubt.

First complaint I have ever made in my life!
Never received such poor customer service and been so disrespected. Purchased tickets to attend a jazz concert, only to show up and be told there was no concert and the receptionist didn't even know about it!!!! I was advised to send an email to a generic email address to request for a refund. I sent the email and didn't receive a response until 4 months later, after I had sent two private messages to their Facebook account! Then eventually received a response to my email confirming I would receive my refund. Then a month later I had not yet received the refund so I emailed back asking for confirmation of payment date, only to be told I am not entitled to a refund!!!! My complaint was not taken seriously and I was treated with disregard. I remained patient and polite throughout all my attempts to contact. Ignoring my emails and hoping I would forget has actually made me very disappointed.

An exclusive members only club in the heart of London, lovely atmosphere and good place to meet friends or grab a quiet drink!

Love the club and the vibe. Killer location and very happy to have become a member... Just need to try the food next!

I always enjoy a visit to Library it's a private member's club with a difference. The central area is atmospheric with books, exposed walls and eclectic furniture. It's great for a drink, one-on-one meetings or pizza from their new pizza oven. They also run regular events in the evening in this space. They also have several other rooms, a new restaurant (for those who want something fancier than pizza!) and a brilliant speakeasy in the basement for cocktails. It's one of my favourite places for work or play!

Very central location with helpful, friendly staff - very difficult to fault!

I had never eaten in the restaurant and I can honestly say that the experience of that and my guests was superb. The food, sublime and the service exemplary! We enjoyed it very much and will go back!

Been here a few times thankfully as a guest and not a paying member despite considering it a few times.

Alas the staff and management treat it like an exclusive club...so exclusive that the WiFi doesn't work, the food takes ages, there are frequently no seating or waiters around if you do find a table and when you complain there is no one to complain to who can actually take an interest or change things as everyone "just works there".

This place was really cool. My wife and I thought it was some sort of library... Crazy, right? When we went in to enquire, we were invited to look inside and it was really, really nice. Would recommend any creative to apply for membership as some of the facilities and services looked stellar. A really cool crowd in there too.

Nice venue in an old London building, the interior has been made modern with still a rustic feel.
Met at the door and taken down to have drinks in a candle lit room, after a few lovely drinks (took a bit of time) we were led upstairs for dinner, the food is really nice well thought out with great options for all the courses, all cooked really well with great taste and presentation.
Nice chill out space to grab a drink with friends and a meal.
Nice music and friendly staff, when I was there new staff so gave them the benefit of the doubt on timing etc.
In a great central location easy access to tube and other London locations.

I booked a table and room here for my partner and I for our 4th anniversary. We had an amazing time and the food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing, it was really something special!! And to add to that, the customer service I received from Shannon Lawes was, personally, one of the best I ve ever encountered. She was really friendly and went out of her way to make this truly special for us. It was our best anniversary yet and I want to give Shannon Lawes many thanks from the both of us, it s honestly a time we will never forget. Thank you so much!!

Private members club: the food is average for the price and for those who wish to go there to work: the internet connection is terrible and there are very few plugs if you need to plug your computer. The member isn't value for money.

Very interesting club that suits my slightly Bohemian attitude to life matched with the need to work....... so a great venue to relax and have fun and when required meet work colleagues and clients. I was very impressed by Emma's tour and enthusiastic introduction to the club's facilities and future plans. I could well be tempted to join ...

Any guise of politeness or exclusivity that you may initially meet is pure facade. AVOID!

Excellent personal service all the way from start to end of our stay. Comfortable and very nice room. Cool bar and dinner area. Tasty food. Relaxing atmosphere. Will stay here next time in London. Highly recommended!

Cosy members club. Quite small and was booked out so even less space. Drinks are reasonably priced

A friend is a member so I lucky to get to experience the Library and I want disappointed. Considering it is in central London the food and drink is priced reasonably - I highly recommend the smoked salmon pizza.

I have been with Library since 2015 and glad to see that the club has been growing and improving month to month ever since.

Newest changes such as pizza kitchen, restaurant refurbishment and the opening of the new speakeasy bar are definitely great additions to the club.

A great hideout in the extremely busy area of central London.

Supper on the Harry Potter theme take into account your food tastes the wine agreements with the different dishes are sometimes weird meal very good but quantity a little limited animations between dishes are excellent as far as we understand English but do not do not wet and never choose a person who does not speak English for games

Great steak and beautiful pinot noir. However first steak was over cooked. They replaced it quickly and efficiently. V apologetic. Even offered free desserts for the three of us. Not a member but hope to go back

Very disappointing. Brands itself as a library (including bookshelves, and a sign saying to be quiet), but is just another bar playing too-loud music. Costs hundreds of pounds to be a member, but often can't get a table because they put on too many external events.
(Edit a year later) They are now coming begging me to rejoin. Sorry, bit they had several chances to do the right thing after misleading me about membership. At one point they acknowledged the wrongness of their statements and offered me a partial refund, but then reneged on that.
All you get for your money is being able to say that belong to the club. There are no tangible benefits of membership beyond that - a crowded, noisy bar with West End prices, to access which you pay several hundred pounds each year. Quiet, calm space it is not.

DO NOT JOIN THE CLUB

A very poor excuse for a club. Rude and inattentive staff, WiFi that doesn't work and an events team that has no idea what it's doing. Library has pretensions to be something grander but needs to raise its game significantly if it wants to succeed.

Update 13/12/18 - apparently the kitchen closed so no food is available

Great location, and decent drinks. A lovely venue to hang out with a very classy library vibe.

We were seated downstairs i.e. not in The Library, but in the basement next to the kitchen (although there were some books on the shelf).

The rooms are amazing end all the place make you to feel like home

WOOW!! me and my girls had a blast, I cannot recommend this gem enough.Fantastic customer service, from beginning to end. Especially Shannon Lawes, she was amazing a big big thanks to her.

A beautifully atmospheric venue with friendly staff and a lively atmosphere.
The drinks are a bit pricey, but in that part of London it's to be expected.
Nicely decorated and warm. You won't be disappointed, provided your party isn't too large.
Parking around the corner near the police station is handy and it's very close to many London attractive including the National Gallery.

We went in to ask informations and they very rude and not welcoming at all.. average hotel too

Went to this venue last week, cozy social venue, saw Jay Phelps with his SouldEnvr program, its live music to Film, incredible experience, took my mum and friends all thoroughly enjoyed! Fantastic night and show!.

I've become a regular to LIBRARY in the past month. The place is nothing short than amazing. It's a great space to work, have meetings, network and eat. Not to mention the location, right in the heart of Covent Garden.

Myself being a career aviator for the last 30 plus years I have stayed in a plethora of hotel/motels around the world. I have to say that The Library is the epitome of a place that feels like home. I was on vacation for three weeks in London and only stayed there for one week. Next year when I plan my stay in London I can assure you it will be at the Library. The staff was so professional and friendly they made me feel like they had known me for years. Please don't let the word get out as I want to make sure they have availability for my vacation!

I attended a dinner at The Library last week and was stunned by the food. All extremely reasonably priced for the quality of the food. I was shown to the table by the Project Coordinator, Shannon. Not only did she make some great recommendations on what to order she invited me to several events taking place this weekend at the launch of their sister Club Arboretum. Cant wait to go if its anything like the Library.

Top starts for this great place which I always enjoy, both during and after business!

An amazing first time experience! I recently visited Library as it was a place recommended for me and my course mates to discuss a group project whilst enjoying some great food! The food was exquisite and the customer service was remarkable! A young lady called Shannon Lawes was extremely warming, friendly and informative on my arrival. From this point I knew Library was different to most venues I had been before as to receive such a warm greeting was a pleasantly rare encounter. With Shannon s exceptional service alone, I would most definitely attend Library again - she is an asset to the company.

WORST BAR IN LONDON
Don't know why it's so awful - change of staff, lacking Leila, or a chivvy clientele, but this is one place in London I will tell anyone else visiting to AVOID.
Wine was off; first food choices unavailable and the toilets were UNUSABLE.
Our friends we visited brought us in and they regret paying the expensive membership fee.

Fantastic and very passionate staff including a young lady named Shannon Lawes! She made sure everything was to my liking and dealt with any issues I had attentively!

This is an absolute gem right in the heart off everything that s good about London! I genuinely cannot praise this hotel enough!! The room as great with a lovely terrace for us to sit on but most of all it was the very generous staff that made our stay all the more special. We were there for for our anniversary and they took extra care to make sure our stay was everything we wanted. I would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone and everyone!!

Had an awesome time here, right form the get go, Emma was super informative about the club, I ended up booking my party here after my first viewing, and it did not disappoint. It's got a great atmosphere and the drinks are spot on.

Great location and the interior is really well done, but seems to have a high turnover of staff, the Gin selection seems to be hit and miss as well.

Nicely decked out venue, but could improve the signage, as I'm pretty sure I ended up in the wrong room for the wrong event. The Library Live ticket validation system seemed to be non-existent. I paid by card instead of cash for everything, as they didn't have any change, although I'm not sure if this is a policy or bad management. There were only 2 waitresses, that seemed slightly overwhelmed by the demands on their time. However, I had a good time at the Library; the staff were friendly, the food and drink was good, and there was a lively atmosphere. I would recommend it for an evening out.

As member clubs go, facilities and ambiance, I absolutely love this place. The location is fantastic for the theatres and the bar w/occasional entertainment makes this place a must. If you haven t been or joined then your wasting time. Do it now if my thoughts are anything to go by.
Also the staff cannot do enough and are friendly and accommodating, especially a lady called Sofia Foster (if I m allowed to mention individuals), she went far and beyond what she needed to do to make me feel welcome. Top class lady within a top class venue
