Love the resort. I've had the pleasure of working at and enjoying the amenities at the resort. The location easily accessible and the service is always great. The food is a little pricey but the atmosphere was great. Highly recommended!

We went to the slopes right after Christmas. The atmosphere and coaches were awesome for learn-to-ski and learn-to-snowboard. The conditions were not ideal, as it was very icy right after Christmas, especially on the bunny slopes. The slopes had just opened a few days before we got there, so it was mainly fake snow. When we went back about early February the conditions were much better.

A very nice ski resort strategically placed near the Washington DC area, about a 1 and a half hour drive. I went snow tubing instead of skiing, most of the snow tubes were in a good condition for the exemption for a few I found, also the quality of the snow/ice was very good considering the fact that I came on a day where the weather was reaching the upper 50s. Another thing I absolutely loved about Liberty Mountain Ski Resort is that instead of having to walk up the very tall mountain, there is a long conveyor belt (kind of like a long treadmill) that pushes you up the mountain. I d say I absolutely recommend anyone come here except for the fact that its a bit on pricey side, its $31 per person, which like I said is a bit on the pricey side.

I did not stay here. However, I booked a room for the night in November because I wanted to go skiing and I have never been skiing before. I did not realize that the ski resort doesn't make their own snow until mid December so I had to cancel my resort booking. When I called on the phone, a woman answered and I explained that I needed to cancel my reservation. She said "Would you like me to transfer you to this department to cancel your reservation or this department?" & I simply stated "which ever department you think would be best." Why is it my job to figure out which department I should be transferred to? I have no idea?? And she said "Whatever" in an extremely rude tone and transferred me. The person I was transferred to was VERY nice though.

Updated room and resort. Oh la la decor and even a saltwater pool. Came here with our 2year old for tubing and they feature a shuttle. Ive been here a bunch through the yard and they are seeking to stay hip and updated with the new resort. Job well done. Breakfast was more than adequate.

Very easy to get to and friendly people. Wish ski patrol would have made people move away from the unloading areas on the lifts or intersections as it was way too much like frogger. Overall very enjoyable and I will return!

Overall fun experience, but they need to step their game up. My friend Marshall and I went here to have fun snowboarding and that part was a blast, we fell a lot and learned just as much. The food and the prices are way overpriced and there is not amazing service within the hotel itself. We were both college seniors at the time and were looking forward to going to a bar and meeting some girl boarders. However, there is no bar at the resort. So we asked the front desk lady and she gave us one that was half of a mile away and told us that they have a drunk bus. That was enough for us so we walked over there expecting to get a ride back. We knock back 4 each and start talking to the bartender and he told us that the drunk bus hasn't been running that week. So we said whatever and knocked back 5 more each, then we walked back. Neither one of us remember that walk back or what happened the rest of the night. We woke up the next day extremely hungover, there was food in the room, I was missing my hookah, and we didn't know how much we tipped the bartender. We had to check out at 11 and decided to go to McDonald's to sober up. Then we went across the street to get some shut eye before we went to board. A white bus pulled in front of our car and woke us up because of how the sun bounced off of it. So we said screw it and went to go snowboarding. The instructor was very kind and helped us a lot. The slopes were nice, and the people were all having fun as well. Great experience, but they need a bar, better food, and better service in the hotel.

The ski resort was great, with spectacular class lessons and great facilities. The slopes were a bit icy, but given the number of people there the powder was still great. The lines were kind of long but reasonable.

The place is nice but one of the ski instructors was so rude to my wife who was a first timer and she was barely 2 minutes late to the session and told her she can't participate or even listen!!

I called ahead and received favorable Intel on slope wait times and as a result I was able to plan my day trip efficiently! Loved the lodge space (although updating of the game room could be improved immensely). The young adult staff was extremely helpful and extremely insightful in terms of equipment use, best practices, and how to best remain free from injury from their own lessons learned on the slopes. Overall, great experience. Note: The military discount is not applied to dependents. Parking can be cumbersome but shuttles run every 15min I believe. Parking could be improved!

Had a great time learning how to snowboard. My instructor, Steve, was amazing and funny. He took the nervousness away and checked on my son and I after his hoyr of instructional time was done. Will definitely be back!

Whitetail is better in all aspects. The prices here are sky high (obviously), there are big lines, and it isn't that nice for all of the money it gets. Again, if you care about the slopes, go to Whitetail. This place is best for beginners.

Awesome, we ll organized and a whole lotta fun for the whole family.

The tube hills are great. Lots of lanes, the conveyor belt is fast, fun and easy. The staff is friendly and helpful when you want to link up or get your spin on.

We didn t ski on this trip, but it looked like a bunch of fun too. They have a section with jumps and rails for both snowboarding and skiers alike. The trails were well groomed and the lifts were organized and fluid.

We ll be coming back again and again.

The staff are so rude. My wife and 2 children who are 2 years old and 1 month old were charged an excess fee of $150 because my 2 year old son accidentally got pen marks on the sheets. Not only that they refused to let us stay another night when our car was broken down and it was snowing outside. I asked to speak to management and was told the exact same thing and were treated like we broke the law.. we have season passes and have been going to the mountain for years. I will never go back there and will tell everyone I know that the hotel in emmitsburg is half the price and a lot better hotel rooms. I will be reporting this situation to the better business bureau of Adam's county. Stay away!

Like skiing here. Can get very crowded on weekends. Season passes are a good deal if you live in Greater Baltimore or Washington. This a great place to learn to ski. Instuctors are great with kids and adults. Food at the "Eagle and the Owl" restaurant was very good, but a little expensive.

Generally speaking Liberty is a great place to ski and stay. Great staff always helpful and nice. BUT - Big issue -- we recently tried tubing this past Saturday. And it was PACKED. Liberty clearly oversold tickets. So for my daughter and I we might have gotten 6 runs in over a two hour window. It was disappointing to say the least. If you go tubing be prepared to spend A LOT of time waiting in lines. Very disappointing. Which is a shame as Liberty is usually a well run organization.

Friday is the best day to go! It was pretty quiet all day until a little after 3 when busloads of kids showed up. Even then the trails were still pretty clear, but the lift lines were packed. It was a great day!

We stayed at Liberty Resort for a wedding. The staff was very accommodating of children, including setting up a coloring room during the reception and letting the kids run around the hallway around the reception room. If you're going to a wedding there and have a choice between steak and chicken, get the steak, the chicken was a rather plain, lightly breaded affair. The after party was at the bar which was excellent (the bartender made a mean Moscow Mule), and there was a fire pit outside. The only complaint would be that the shuffle board table is definitely warped. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Their checkout time is strictly enforced, but you can ask for an extension. There's a bar at the end of the driveway that was also very good, in case you don't want to eat solely at the resort, and Enmittsburg is just a short drive down the road at the Ott House there is a good, cheap place to eat and drink.

I really like Liberty - it's newer, it's got a great layout, and the restaurant there rocks socks. As far as skiing, their bunny hill is much larger than most letting you really practice without running into professionals buzzing past you.

Definitely worth the season pass for all three mountains - even better if you have your own gear. Just walk in and get started down the mountain!

A lot of fun, great place for the family, if you can afford it. If you go skiing/snowboarding in the evening later in the season there won't be many people there so you will be able to learn without being in other people's way.

I visited Liberty Mountain Resort as my sister was holding her wedding reception there. A common remark by other guests there for the wedding was how polite and kind the workers were. The two bartenders and hostess at the Eagle and Owl were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. I look forward to another visit here.

We went for a day of skiing since it's about an hour drive from the DC area, and there are a lot of restaurant options on the way up and back to help not spend much on food. While there I lost a ski on the lift, and the ski patrol was great at getting me back down the mountain and getting the ski back. They, as well as the lift operators, are all incredibly nice and love to share stories and make you feel welcome. The shorter lofts have very easy slopes. After you've skied a few times you'll be on the longer lifts to the somewhat harder green slopes. If anything I wish there were more semi-difficult green slopes, or something between that and blue, as the blues seem much harder. But really we just need to improve ourselves. Overall this was a great trip.

Staff is good for the most part. Instructors are the employees that really make this place shine. Desk staff are accomodating and patient. Food service is average. Rental equipment is above average quality.

This was our first visit to Liberty and were pleasantly surprised. Main lodge is beautiful. Upon finding our rooms were in the building next door (closer to the skiing and apparently the older of the two buildings) we were preparing for a slight disappointment. To our surprise the interior of the building was wonderfully redone recently.
