Very relaxing and lovely views from the restaurant. The room was very good with a large bathroom and lots of extras added.
A fabulous day out. The setting is magnificent and the autumn colours spectacular.
One of the most beautiful castles I've ever seen, steeped in history. Tell a lot - Uncle Google will tell you about it. A must visit. recommend
I went here as part of a medieval 're enactment group. The castle is more of a house than z castle but there is so much to do from the house grounds maze sedgewayz to eating out. A wonderful day out
It is a beautiful, serene and peaceful place. It didn't feel like I was working, I am blessed to have been brought to this wonderful place
My son loves this place. We spent most of the day here today. Fantastic
We have visited a few times and always enjoyed our time. It's such a beautiful place. So beautiful in fact we chose to get married there in August 2017. The staff are beyond words, amazing. We could not say enough good things about them and the place. We will visit at least once a year for the rest of our lives.
Gorgeous grounds to walk around and connected to other public footpaths.
I visited leeds castle recently, I new what to expect as I had been there several times however not in the last 9 years. What a surprise, so many improvements. Beautiful woodland paths along the gently running Brooks. Lots of birds and swans wandering about. Lakes and open grass vistas. The picture perfect castle and several food and drink stops. There is even a boat lake so you can take a trip accross to the new model play village for the children. We had food at the main restaurant which has a terrace overlooking the castle and its moat. This is a great day out for all the family and the tickets are valid for the whole year.
Beautiful grounds and historic building. Ample parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Good restaurant and cafe on site. Loads to do and see for young and older patrons alike.
Well worth a visit.
10% discount for "seniors" admission, which includes food and drink in restaurant. Day ticket easily converted into a year pass at no extra cost is worth it.
Castle is amazing, the Christmas market would be better if it was over a bigger area. Do not expect a German style market it s a poor uk twist of what we think a Christmas market should be and it s not what it should be.
That said if your visiting the castle the market is worth a look.
Cool place but not as impressive as the castles in Germany. Pictures are much more impressive than in person.
Beautiful castle in the British countryside. Absolutely gorgeous. Nicely maintained, lots of trails and things to see besides the castle. Black swans, whites swans, peacock.
Castle is lovely especially as now decorated for Christmas. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Will be visiting again during the year.
Beautiful place! Lovely gardens, excellent medieval tournament
Cracking day out! Lovely grounds to walk around and nice little cafes
Very beautiful grounds, great play area for kids, several different food venues.
Beautiful and the kids could run around. We didn't pay to go in the castle but there was plenty to do without that. The castle playgrounds are fun
Classical concert, absolutely amazing. Loved the rubber chicken throwing!!
Went along to the Christmas Fair. Excellent fair with fun fair rides for children (a little expensive) Beautiful walk around the grounds. The castle was decorated for Christmas which was very well done.
Well worth a visit.
Go for all its rustic historic charm and beautiful interiors and the history of the kings & queens..the castle is enchanting from outside as well as inside..(see pics)
Try the meed (wine) offered as welcome drink, it's delicious.
Time taken to complete at leisure : 2.5 hours approx.
Been with golden tours..wont recommend though for the package it comes with.
Great place to relax and have a good family day out.
Huge estate with a castle, gardens, falconry show. May be a good place ty o take the kids for the whole day. Food at the restaurant is mediocre
Lovely place for a day out, but expensive to get in. The tickets last all year, but if you're not local it's not ideal.
Leeds Castle in Kent is second to none. Such a great day out for all the family. We love this place. I've been loads of times and will keep going back.
Had a lovely day didn't matter about the rain it was absolutely fantastic definitely coming back again in the summer
Great grounds lovely castle always events on during the hoildays. Something for all the family.
This is a place that everyone will like. There are many attractions here seasonally. My children love to be there. A charming place, beautiful plants and a wealth of birds. Of course, the castle itself is equally charming, wonderfully located and many beautiful rooms can be seen. Wonderfully preserved and prepared for sightseeing.
We stayed in the former Chefs Room, large, modern, lots of history, beautiful grounds and excellent trained staff.
Pricey for a one off visit but well presented castle with spacious grounds to explore. Various events held here.
Beautiful place to spend a lovely day with a family! The castle is well look after, gardens are lovely and the maze gives so much fun for both adults and children. We will definitely visit again in a spring/summer time.
Absolutely love this place! Been here so many times and every time find something new. It is always clean here, beautiful views, lots of birds to feed and take pics, plenty of places to eat with great food (we love fish n chips here) shops to buy gifts. Worth every penny, would recommend to everybody especially if you have kids. Well organised parking too, thank you:)
Loved everything about the castle. We visited on our second vacation to the UK. Even though we went in winter, the grounds were magnificent. Being a golfer, the views of the course from both the exterior and interior of the property were exhilarating. Also, the surrounding water ways around the property gave it so much character. A worthwhile excursion
So much to see and do. Great staff available to help. Very good food for price and quality.
Beautiful castle, well preserved and with a well-kept park. Many services available especially for children. Recommended for everyone.
Always nice to be in the grounds and seeing the castle. Christmas time prob better with children.
Most beautiful castle gardens I've seen so far. And the medieval weekend here was really surreal. Everyone and everything really committed in giving you an authentic experience.
A wonderful Place to visit. the castle is set in well kept grounds with plenty of amazing views, the castle is a must see attraction for any one in the area that is interested in history.
The food in the restaurant is great value and a wide selection of options. Would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for somewhere to explore and walk. The birds of prey show located in the grounds is a must see for anyone visiting.
Very nice Christmas decorations every year. This time the theme was Beatrix Potter.
The place is nice, and very interesting but the restaurant whilst serving very nice food was poorly organised with lackluster service
Lovely castle and grounds however don't go by public buses!!! Also don't ask staff about when they come and go. Completely unhelpful!! Looked up wrong information and now have to wait 2 hours for the bus back to Maidstone. Really spoilt the day.
beautiful house stunning gardens, and the satff knew their stuff! highly recommend a visit..
Lovely day out. Christmas fayre is also really good quality too
Pay once for 12 months entry to a beautiful castle and grounds with plenty going on for all the family
Been there twice now. Very picturesque a great morning / afternoon out.
Fantastic day out. Castle more of a country house, but beautiful, great gardens, boat trip, kids fun stuff, excellent maze and grotto, and your ticket bus you unlimited visits over 12 months.
Fantastic experience. Magnificent views. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful place. First visit in 35years. Will be going back
So beautiful. Grounds were stunning, very well kept and so very clean and tidy. Loads of space so even if it's busy, doesn't feel it! Found 2 play parks, crazy golf, a really good maze and a grotto which was a bit spooky for my littlest More
Great Christmas market. Lovely grounds with lots to do.
Very good place to visit and good deal with the year ticket
Lovely place to take the kids & meet with friends. The surroundings are beautiful & they have lots of events.
Beautiful grounds and castle. Perfect place to spend the whole day. Definitely take a picnic as there are plenty of places to pitch a picnic blanket. Also purchase some bird feed if you have kiddies as they will love the ducks and geese that they are able to fatten and it will provide a useful distraction to the amount of walking they have to do. Great that your ticket lasts for a year, so you can revisit as many times as you like.
Leeds Castle is referred to as the most beautiful castle in the world. It has the castle history (fortification and garrison for soldiers) but today looks more a palace (residence) than a castle. It's history is long dating back to 1119 and it has been shaped by strong women, not the kings and men of the ages. Names such as Eleanor of Castile, Margaret de Clare (Baroness of Badlesmere), and Catherine of Aragon factor strongly into the shape of what is seen today. Henry VIII stayed here with a troupe of 5,000 on his way to visit France. But the best of all is Lady Baillie, an American heiress who bought the castle in 1926 and transformed it into a spectacular tribute to what it was. She transformed it, lived in it, had huge social events involving politicians, actors, and a list of who's who from over the years but of highest note is her transformation into a hospital during WW II for burn victims recovery during the Battle of Britain and beyond. She left a lasting legacy that gave the castle to the people with an endowment to keep it for all to enjoy. It is a fitting tribute to see and it welcomes many events to entertain visitors. The best single thing to see in SE England with the only possible exception being Canterbury Cathedral. Do both! They are tremendous history lessons just miles apart that cover political and ecclesiastical English history!
One of our favourite places. Big shop and restaurant not open at present, but lots of little coffee stops along the walking route.
Love this place. Castle is now open and despite the rain it was another great day out.
Enjoyable day with lots to do. Unfortunately parts of the gardens were closed that wasn't mentioned when we paid. There was also some filming taking place which also restricted our activities.
Was working at the venue on visit. Gorgeous grounds. Didn't go in Castle.
Beautiful piece of our history, well worth the visit.
A truly wonderful wedding venue with our fantastic wedding cake made by Willow Cakes Ashford
Beautiful modern reconstruction of a medieval castle. Very comfortable beds in the associated B&B.
Lovely place to visit, however very disappointed with the lack of gluten free options in the Fairfax Hall cafe and linked Costa. Neither had cake or biscuits available which is not very welcoming or considerate. This has been the case on several occasions I have visited. I've mentioned this to the staff who don't appear to feed back or are not heard?? If you want to eat at the same time as your friends, I'd take your own. Maybe that way the Management of these organisations will eventually get the message.
