Really nice castle and estate. Great job in maintaining it in good condition!
Felt welcome the moment we arrived. Recptionist very friendly and helpful. Felt like a v.i.p. Given letter which entitled us to free range of all facilities and activities In castle and park. Falcon show spectacular and loved castle and maze. Beautiful location and views. Room was amazing- bathroom massive. Given complimentary coffee/tea at castle view restaurant in addition to chocolates and biscuits in room- no expense spared. Restaurant food very good with beautiful views. No requests were too much. Lovely place, lovely views, lovely staff. Highly recommended. We'll be back !
Beautiful castle with so many things to do including a maze and a play area. You can have a look inside the castle which so well looked after. There is a shop which sells notebooks and pens ect and a cafe where you can buy lunch and ice More
A very impressive building. Crazy what they built 1000 years ago. Just as usual in England, the entry fee is insane. But it's worth it.
Great day out for the family or with visiting friends. It's not only the castle to visit but has several cafe's, the maze and a brilliant playground for the little ones which is very safely fenced off. Another extensive adventure playground is just next to that for the older children. Perfect entertainment between the various bird displays. The grounds are extremely well maintained and beautiful to walk through.
Amazing place, absolutely loved it. This place is maintained with utmost care. The gardens, lakes, shops are delightful!
Lovely place. The castle, the river, the vast green grounds were a delight to see and be around this summer. There's also hot food available and a ride you can take to parts of the grounds if you're legs need a rest.
Great for the kids they loved the play area and the talk about birds as the fly around
Leeds Castle is an absolutely fantastic day out. The grounds provide excellent walks, as does the Castle itself and the maze! For those visiting for the first time, be aware that the admission is a little pricey but this does give you access to the Castle and grounds for a full year.
Fantastic Evening...the best so far. Mum had a fantastic time. Can't wait for the next one. The firework display was amazing.
We went for the fireworks. spectacular! Expensive but worth it x
Fab afternoon at Leeds Castle! Lovely walk up to the castle and had great fun in the maze Lost a star because the woman who sold us our tickets tried to take a photo without asking or explaining why - just said look at the camera. I now know it was for the year long entry, but it would be better if we were asked about it.
Very pricey for what it is. The castle is alright, the falconry show is average. Warwick is better on both accounts. The battle of the skies show was surprisingly a good experience even though it was only 8 minutes long. Large grounds and gardens - but definitely not worth the full ticket price.
Lovely day out, beautiful place to visit on a sunny day
Stunning place probably the nicest castle I've visited the grounds were immaculate.....the castle was breath taking definitely will be returning
A really enjoyable day out. Good facilities, plenty to see and do. Lovely building and historical attraction.
Beautiful castle and grounds. A lovely place to spend a day
The castle is beautiful
However, there are very few places where it is closed for renovation, so it s a pity...
Beautiful scenery. A lovely house with so much history. Falconry was good and Christmas market made it a very special day
Beautiful castle and pretty park. Ticket prices disproportionate compared to other similar castles in the area. We visited it in the low season and did not enjoy the gardens. No animation was proposed that day. There is only one ticket in the year and it is therefore unsuitable for tourists. Dogs are forbidden in the park unlike other sites of the same kind and children pay! For all these reasons, it's better to make another castle than to go for a slot machine at Leeds Castle!
Highly overrated .
The gardens are fabulous though
What more could you ask for. A lovely castle to walk round and beautiful grounds. Wild life to feed and children's playgrounds. Not to mention the maze and exhibitions. A boat across the lake or a little train to save a walk. Our grandchildren love it there and so do we.
Free parking in grounds.
Large grounds for picnic or day out.
Lot of history. Very good customer service.
But expensive entry tickets.
Food cafe and Resturant are also very expensive.
5 stars for it being a very nice place... but 1 star for the cost of getting in. What a ripoff! Overall 3 stars.
Such an interesting building and contents. Superb grounds which are steeped in history. Certainly worth a day exploring.
Excellent place for walking. The gardens are superb and the Castle is a must see.
Gorgeous castle and the Christmas market was amazing despite the weather
Lovely place to go. New children's play area opening soon. Need more seatibg in the restaurant. Also limited options for lunch in the restaurant and only a very small seating area for Costa
Had our wedding here, loved every minute of planning through to morning breakfast, thank you
The best castle to visit in kent lots to see and do.
Lovely open green area to sit and enjoy a summers day, fun maze and lots to enjoy for all the family, and not forgetting the castle which was a nice setting.
Wonderful place, attended a wedding and staying overnight, excellent food and service plus a jousting weekend going on.!
Leeds Castle Fireworks is a spectacular show. You will gasp, you will dance, and you will drink mulled wine.
Fantastic day out well worth the money as unlimited use for 12 months
Amazing atmosphere, castle and canteen in amazing condition. Also you can find deals online for your tickets.
fantastic castle in the English countryside, to visit
You must visit if you have never been ten out of ten.
Fantastic castle with wonderful history. We have been several times and there's always a new trail you can find!
A great experience, particularly with the flower festival. Although in my opinion I thought there were far too many flowers in all castle rooms and nooks and crannies. Not very disabled friendly either apart from the bus and train taking one to the castle entrance, although I can understand this, particularly in view of the age of the castle.
Loved my visit despite.
Magical castle in glorious grounds. And we saw a Spitfire!
Great place to visit. The ticket is valid for a year so if you're local you can return as many times as you like. It has good facilities for children but the food can be a bit expensive although there are plenty of picnic areas.
We took our son for his 4th birthday as he loves being a knight. From the little train, castle, boat ride, maze, mini golf to the awesome knights play area it's not a boring day. The ticket is valid for a year. We been back so many times. They have various festivals.
A brilliant day out. Fantastic play areas now with mini golf. Lots of space for kids to run around, lots of ducks to feed. A little train can take you around. Took our 4 yr old grandson. Our favourite place.
Wonderful to visit. Very informative throughout. Thoroughly enjoyable.
I brought my daughter and her two babies and my daughter-in-law and her two boys, 6 and 4, for lunch on 26th August. After paying the for the entrance tickets and nearly having to declare bankruptcy, I was relieved to know that we can use the tickets again for a year. It was a very wet and blustery day and we had to wait a long time in the elements to catch the train to take us up to the Castle, even though it was only just after opening time and there was nobody coming back from the Castle to the entrance. We enjoyed the Castle immensely when we got there. We then walked over towards the Maze and decided to have lunch at the Maze Cafe. We were very disappointed in the fact that we had to sit outside in the wind and rain, plagued by wasps, and the food was really NOT good at all. It was also very expensive and certainly not value for money. Hardly any sandwiches, very little choice, and nothing much that appealed to the children. The playgrounds were very good, and the display of the birds of prey was excellent. Our conclusion was that there should be more cafe-style places that one can get in out of the rain and have just a snack and a drink, and we shouldn't have had to wait so long for the little train on a day that was clearly not crowded. Nevertheless, we shall all be back for another visit soon.
Beautiful place. Lovely gardens. Interesting Castle. Lots to do for all the family. Moat.grotto and play areas. Good food available.
Great spaces to walk and play, very good historical sights to visit. Great for children.
Went to the Classic Concert on 14th July 2018. Brilliant. Will try to come back next year. Had a wonderful time.
Wonderful castle and beautifully decorated at Christmas, the grounds are well worth taking the time to walk round partially the outer park
First time back in Three years and the food offering and service was very poor..... Really lack of healthy options, service was awful, price as expected....overall food offering very poor.
Castle and grounds were as we remember...which were still lovely.
We purchased the family ticket, which is open to, as many visits as you like in a twelve month period...two/three visits, make it value for money.
Overall a good day, just need to improve the food offering and service.
Very nice day out. Great grounds to walk around. Fun fair was good with lots of food and drink stalls. Lots of things to look at and buy. The maze was cool. There is mini golf course and a huge wooden castle playground for the kids. The birds of prey show was interesting too.
Been a season ticket holder for the last 8 years. Nice little walk. Fab play area for the little cack bags. The free events each year are fun. My place to unwind. Plus some fat lad lived there once.
It's an awesome place to spend a weekend with family... The natural beauty all around the Castle grounds as well as historic significance of this place makes it a perfect family getaway spot.
Lovely castle & day out. Pay once & use the ticket for a year - bargain!
Fantastic day out.
Great for all the family.
2018 kids fort was so much better than the 2019 revamp. Thus one star deducted.
Leeds castle is a good day out plenty to do and see birds of prey, a maze
Unlike the nation trust you get to see a lot of the castle and plenty of information spent five hours looking around the castle and grounds well worth a trip if you are in or around Kent.
Absolutely stunning place for people in love with nature and history. Kids will love it too as it offers great activities for them, a maze and a grotto, a nice playground with small zip line and lots of birds (peacocks, ducks, swans, birds of prey,...).
Let s not forget too mention than once you paid the entrance free, you are offered a twelve months entries to come and enjoy this experience all year round. Will definitely go back there throughout the year.
Beautiful castle, great food and not expensive
It is definitely recommended!
