A restaurant which claims to be gastronomic ... but which lacks taste! ... Interior decoration which is dated ...

Intimate SPA, a place of relaxation where life is good. I enjoyed the gastronomy.

The setting is beautiful, the standard room much less ... No blackout curtain, so awake with daylight, it's clean but the decor is in its own juice. We ate at the hotel restaurant at night. The menu was very good value. Very mixed assessment. I want to say as many good things as bad things about this establishment ...

We really enjoyed ourselves in this restaurant. The vegetarian dishes were original and full of taste. The vegetable wrap was simple but what a pleasure to have the taste of fresh vegetables!
For the desserts, the plates were as beautiful as they were good!
Nothing was too much trouble for our server.

Although relatively well located, but incredibly expensive surcharges, of which one gets notice of late in a case. For in a Spa Hotel in this case, the spa is not included, but costs separately. Apart from that, the use of the minibar for own drinks costs 5 and the breakfast 15 . In addition, in the bathroom neither a shower curtain was present, nor has the ceiling light works.

The setting is superb. The rooms are ok. The food is well prepared. Only downside was the need to ask when we received the dishes if they contained dairy products when we had reported lactose intolerance. Otherwise good spa. We had a good stay.

Good hotel, somewhat dated. Culinary food, 3 or 4 course dinner. Staff go to great lengths to make it comfortable. Bistro chairs make it difficult to sit on for 2.5 hours. Great walk in the area to Abdy.

This restaurant located in the middle of the forest is quiet, and family. We eat very well, the value for money is at the rendezvous. The manager, kind and smiling, has taught us a lot about garden flowers that can be combined with different dishes to obtain surprising flavor.

Not worth the price.
No pressure in the shower (we are told that it is due to the fact that all the customers do it at the same time ... In this case we adapt its installation). The shower faucet cover is missing. Shabby room. Bathroom door that only closes with a push of the shoulder.
Spa too small for the number of rooms, impossible to access the jacuzzi.
Disappointing restaurant. Lots of waiting. Very dry chickpea croquettes, for example. Lack of pep.

This hotel is set in a beautiful location, very peaceful, dog friendly and great walks without having to drive anywhere. I wasn't brave enough to try the outdoor pool, the spa was very relaxing though. The highlight for me was the Restaurant, delicious food way beyond any I'm capable of preparing, let alone presenting. I'd definitely visit again given the chance.

Lovely hotel perfect for a little rest and recovery get away. Such a cozy and beautiful place nestled in a tranquil forest scenery. The spa has everything you need plus a calming forest view. The food exceeded my expectations as well. The continental breakfast was amazing and the dishes off the menu are superb. The room was clean and comfortable but could use some small renovations and updating. That was the only reason it s short of 5 stars. Loved my stay!!

Really nice restaurant, we eat in peace, the meal is really good. Personally I took the 3 course daily menu for 22.90 nothing to say. The staff is discreet, smiling.

Located at the foot of the Grand Ballon small interesting walks are to do. The service of the hotel is ok, the rooms in the annex are in my opinion minimalist but clean. Ditto for the pool and SPA. The food is perfectly correct and well worth the detour. The staff is charming.

Characteristic hotel in the countryside. In addition to the rooms in the main building which also serves as a restaurant and breakfast room. There are rooms in an adjacent facility. The room, although not large, is modern and pretty. The shower curtain is not the best and the lack of a kettle to make tea or coffee. Very nice the SPA, with Hammamet, hot tub, sauna and a heated outdoor pool. Attention, inquire first about the type of clothing allowed. Breakfast and dinner are too expensive.

1st stay which will remain a good memory. Very welcome by both management and staff. Room very clean. Arrived early on Saturday we enjoyed Corinne's spa and treatments and in the evening we were delighted with the meal and service. We recommend this establishment and hope to return quickly

Superb hike on the trails of the area with very pretty Panorama breathtaking on the valleys, a tranquility unimaginable to make you forget that it is time to return.

The wellness area is good, but we had to wait until the place was free to access the spa.
The room badly soundproofed, we heard footsteps coming from above.
Regarding the restaurant, the food is excellent although we had the right to a separate menu (not specified in advance - booking via a box).

friendly, friendly staff, very nice staff, and very competent.the excellent meals with flavors and fresh products is that of pleasure I really recommend this establishment.BRAVO ..

(a) Service: 4 v. 5. Overall very friendly service. Potential for improvement: 1 compact A4 sheet of paper with some hikes in the immediate vicinity would be useful.
(b) Room: 3 v. 5. Cleanliness ok, but mattresses worn out and bathroom ventilation quite weak.
(c) Spa and Pool: 4 v. 5. Not new but clean and ok and sufficient in our opinion.
(d) Breakfast 2 v. 5th place terrace great in good weather. Quality of the food okay but nothing special, coffee was rather below average. Price (14 p.p.) not justified in our opinion.
(e) Dinner 4v. 5. Tasteful food, attentive service.
(f) OVERALL RATING: 3 to 4 percent 5. We tended towards 3 (and not 4) out of 5 stars because we found the price level (accommodation, dinner, breakfast) in relation to service / standard / quality to be too high.

Chosen to celebrate my wife's birthday, I was curious to discover this place ... result, we were very pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and kindness of the staff who did everything to make us have an unforgettable moment ... the small chalet and its wood stove, the spa with its massage session for my wife provided by a professional very attentive to the needs and wishes requested, and finally the delicious meal with the final little attention to the 'birthday of my wife ... in short ... we will be back with great pleasure ... thank you.

Room dated and very small for the price. Breakfast expensive for the little that is offered.
Several insects in the room when we arrived, impossible to open the windows without having several animals that come in.
We hear the front door making a monster noise into the room on the second floor.
Very small private parking for the number of rooms available.
Only 2 bedside lamps to illuminate the whole room so very dark room.

Disappointment but above all anger !!
It all started with a gift box that didn't suit us. I exchanged it for another which contained the holy barnabe which seemed very attractive.
Arrival on site, first disappointment with the general condition of the estate, certainly very quiet with a pretty flower garden, but the whole thing is very tired. Seventies atmosphere.
Good reception although a little speed. It is 7 p.m. I ask for spa hours: end at 8:30 p.m. like taking orders at the restaurant. Already you choose spa or restaurant but not the 2. I say ok we will take advantage of it tomorrow morning. Answer: ah in the morning there is only the jacuzzi and the swimming pool. Ok so it's ko for the sauna ... Which is accessible from the outside anyway. So, the night walk outside in a bathrobe.
Arrival in the room, new disappointment, in fact it is more of a MOTEL whose door of the room opens directly to the outside .... in short
Place for dinner. The, rather not bad, hearty, well presented and attentive to the waiter with our 15 month old baby who regaled the room with his clever smile! The only false note in fact is the decor. On the site, you see a superb dining room ... And the reality is another room ... whose charm must have been evident in 1972. The beautiful room should be reserved for the elite and not for the lower stalls.

But let's move on to the main course. At 9 p.m., we put the little one to bed. She wakes up at midnight in night terror. Impossible to console her. It ended with a lukewarm shower but it lasted half an hour anyway. Suddenly the neighbor came knocking on the door, fearing that there was an isolated baby. I reassure him and I apologize and then realize the delicacy of the wall. We could hear the man blowing his nose so I can imagine the effect of my daughter's crying.
In short in the morning, we go to breakfast and the boss welcomes us as follows: "your baby cried last night". I say to myself, she is going to ask us if things are going better but she continues: "the neighbor complained this morning and because of that they are leaving"
We apologize and head for the buffet (very blah incidentally for a *** with "very tired" cheese.) There, the boss follows us and insists dryly: "You did not put any comment in your reservation to indicate that You had a baby. No, we had our own bed and therefore no need to ask the hotel. Does this mean that a hotelier, knowing the noise level of the rooms, would have accommodated us in the barn? That's what I said to myself when she said: we would have done otherwise if we had known.
Conclusion, we were shocked by the behavior of this hotelier to the highest point. She loses a night, sure, but does it deserve revenge on us?

And there comes the highlight of the show !!! We go back to the neighbors to apologize again and let them know that we were only staying one night and that it was a pity that they cut their stay short because of us. The gentleman then told me that not at all, he was leaving for another reason (the same disappointment of the place that we can be?)

And so there, I am very angry with a hotelier who is lying !!! Who lets off steam on his clients, and who, as I said, lies to his clients between the photos on the internet and reality. HONEST AND SCANDALOUS. TO AVOID EMERGENCY

Relaxing place in the greenery. Dedicated, friendly owner.

Warm welcome, impeccable and comfortable rooms. The tasting of the menus remains, each time, a moment of anthology. The presentations, cooking ... everything is mastered and matched to perfection. Each plate is a festival of aromas and flavors.
The SPA effectively helps you go through the chapters of the dream if you are lucky enough to stay long enough to take advantage of the many and varied opportunities available to you.
Only regret: leaving.
Consolation: being able to come back to it.
Undoubtedly a high quality establishment with remarkable services.

Bathrobes to access the SPA could be included in the price of the stay. Jaccuzi small (4 places) we had to go out to let the others enjoy it which is a shame.
The poorly soundproofed room we heard the expansion of the pipes and the water evacuation in the early morning (7am) and the neighbors as well above as on the sides and corridor ...
The decoration needs to be reviewed especially the curtains (personal opinion)
The bathroom has a jet tub which unfortunately did not work.
Personal opinion always: room number 6 the bed should be on the window side to be able to enjoy the flow of the stream and the coolness of the nights (because no air conditioning) and put the living room on the door side

Following our romantic stay, we were very satisfied with this hotel. A charming hotel in a green setting. The welcome is friendly. Spacious room, very clean, helpful and smiling staff. I rate 4 stars because St. Barnabas is a very beautiful spa hotel even if it is not very beautiful seen from outside. In addition it has two Sauna, a Hammam, a pool and quiet housing. The food is delicious and the homemade dessert is delicious. With little money you can spend a very nice holiday.

The Saint Barnabas is a welcoming hotel and with a touch of renovation outside it would surely be qualified 5 STARS !!!
