Community Hope, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been providing support and assistance to individuals and families struggling with mental illness, addiction, homelessness, and poverty for over 35 years. The organization was founded in 1985 by a group of concerned citizens who recognized the need for comprehensive services to help those in need.
The mission of Community Hope is to provide hope, recovery, and support to individuals and families impacted by mental illness, addiction, homelessness or poverty. The organization offers a wide range of programs and services designed to meet the unique needs of each individual they serve.
One of the primary focuses of Community Hope is helping veterans who are struggling with mental health issues as a result of their service. The organization recognizes that many veterans face significant challenges when returning home from active duty including PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), depression, anxiety disorders or substance abuse problems.
To address these issues head-on Community Hope provides specialized programs such as transitional housing for homeless veterans; supportive services for those living with PTSD; employment training; counseling services; peer-to-peer support groups; case management services; legal assistance; financial education classes among others.
In addition to its veteran-focused programs Community Hope also offers comprehensive behavioral health care services including outpatient counseling centers located throughout New Jersey which offer individual therapy sessions as well as group therapy sessions on topics such as anger management or substance abuse recovery.
Community Hope also operates several residential treatment facilities where individuals can receive intensive treatment in a safe environment while working towards their recovery goals. These facilities include both short-term crisis stabilization units as well as long-term residential treatment centers where clients can stay up to two years while receiving ongoing care from trained professionals.

To this end the organization provides emergency rental assistance grants along with other supportive services designed to help people maintain stable housing situations even during times of financial hardship.
