Our Story
Finger Lakes Distilling was founded by Brian McKenzie and Thomas Earl McKenzie, who shared a passion for crafting unique spirits using traditional methods. They started their journey by experimenting with different recipes and techniques until they found the perfect combination of ingredients that would create exceptional flavors.
In 2007, they opened their doors to the public, offering visitors an opportunity to experience their craft firsthand. Since then, Finger Lakes Distilling has grown into a thriving business that produces award-winning spirits loved by locals and tourists alike.
Our Products
At Finger Lakes Distilling, we offer a wide range of products that cater to every taste bud. Whether you're looking for something sweet or savory, we have something for everyone.
Our flagship product is our McKenzie Rye Whiskey - a smooth and spicy whiskey made from locally sourced rye grain. It's aged in new charred oak barrels for at least three years before being bottled at 91 proof.
We also offer several other whiskeys such as Bourbon Whiskey, Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished with Apple Brandy Casks & Maple Syrup Barrels which are all aged in oak barrels giving them distinct flavors & aromas.
If you're more of a gin lover then try out our Seneca Drums Gin which is distilled from grapes grown right here on Seneca Lake shore along with juniper berries & other botanicals giving it its signature flavor profile!
For those who prefer something sweeter than whiskey or gin can try out our Vintner's Vodka which is distilled from grapes grown right here on Seneca Lake shore making it one-of-a-kind vodka!
We also have several liqueurs such as Cherry Liqueur made from local cherries; Cassis Liqueur made from black currants; Limoncello Liqueur made from lemons; Ginger Liqueur made with fresh ginger root; Maplejack Liqueur blended with apple brandy cask-aged maple syrup!
