Been there before the major renovation. And had a very nice vacation. Will definitely be back here sometime.

A very nice hotel near the beach and a nice view...

we have just returned from a stay at this hotel we had a great time everything is great food, rooms, activities, excursions i hope to come back soon thank you thank you stay as you are the staff is always top to the small care

Newly renovated in November 2019, a great facility is presented in a beautiful lagoon that seems to be preferred by the weather. Even if there are dark clouds all around - the weather in the lagoon is usually great.

Newly renovated facility. Very well cared for, lovingly and lavishly prepared in detail by the gardeners.
room
The rooms are very clean and functional. You miss closets.

Public beach
The beach is not private. With the exception of the typical traders and a few anglers, nobody was on the beach. There are enough loungers and parasols. You get fresh towels as often as you like.

water
Very shallow bay. It is advisable to take bathing shoes with you. Snorkeling is ok. The corals are unfortunately gray and partly covered with moss. You can still see a lot of fish. Ebb and flow are very noticeable around full / new moon. Then - as usual - it smells a bit pungent.
The sand is a bit coarser, but still pleasant to walk on barefoot. The beach is cleaned daily. Very clean.

water sports
All offers without motor, i.e. surfing, stand-up paddles, lasers, small catamarans and pedal boats can be used free of charge. Diving and water skiing cost extra.

volume
The hotel is probably used by families. The number of young children was enormous. Accordingly, the volume around the beautiful pool has been raised a bit. This also applies to the restaurants. Depending on how the kids are feeling, it can get loud.
You hardly notice the nearby airport (15 minutes by car). The arrival and departure frequency is minimal.
Motorboats now and then disturb the peace and quiet that you have in the rear area - towards Mahebourg during the day.
The rooms facing Blue Bay hear the coastal road, which is moderately frequented.

eat
The food is varied and there should always be something for every taste. There is always pasta, fish, meat, chicken and soups as well as various salads and bread. The quality of the food ranges from decent to very good. The highlight is the lobster menu, which costs around EUR 75. is calculated.
Those who are hungry can go to the London Way supermarket, around 15 minutes. buy whatever he likes on foot towards Mahebourg.
Drinks are available in every quality category.
The prices are pretty much what you would pay in a good restaurant in Germany. Nothing is cheap there!

service
Here we saw light and a lot of shadow.
There are many motivated and friendly employees. There is still quite a range between friendliness and attention. It sometimes takes time to remove the dishes, cutlery is sometimes dirty and the exposure to music is sometimes annoying, especially when the canned music fights against the live music from the bar.

Guest service
The guest service, especially Linda, tries very hard for the well-being of the guests. If something is not right, you can turn to them and the ladies and gentlemen will do everything to resolve the problem. With a small compromise, we were able to get the room we wanted.

Evening entertainment
In the evening a talented young man at the piano entertains the audience at the bar with really subtle bar / lounge music. Plays well, sings well, stays discreetly in the background. However, there is also a substitute player who also appears with a band. Unfortunately he sees himself as the star of the evening, plays and sings loudly (and often wrongly).
Regularly there is about 20-30 minutes. Deposits / shows that have a "motto". The dances are almost identical, as are the troupe, only the costumes are different. The kids have a lot of fun here before they go to bed.

Special Notes
At the entrance to the hotel there are several huge trees where thousands of birds sleep. In the evening there is a hell of a racket there, which lasts for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours (around sunset). If you want some peace and quiet, you shouldn't take a room.

Nice hotel overall. The activities and the surroundings are great. Only negative points, the wifi is unusable. The flow is between nonexistent and therefore impossible to consult any web page. So do not want to look for your visit information at the bottom. Another negative point, we found a giant cockroach in the room, and seen others near the pool.

We come back from our stay at the Preskil with amazing memories. Kindness, diligence and warmth are the main assets of this hotel, remarkably well located, and with a good level of comfort! Congratulations to the whole team.

Renovation, STILL, in progress. Interested, modest hotel, located in the south, on a small peninsula.

I want to go back! Of all the places I've visited this is the one place I have vowed to return to. Lots of included and topup activities during the day. Great entertainment every night. They try to switch up the buffet so that you don't get bored and have 2 other restaurants on site.
We had our own beach! There's so much pool you won't know what to do with it. Gym, sauna, steam room, spa. You never have to go anywhere.
Quite close to the airport.
Not cheap but worth it.

Superb position, on the christal lagoon. The riff protect the beach so no waves.
Many fishes on the corals just in front of the resort (lot of small moreis, puffer fishes, and more).
Deluxe room is large and comfortable.
Food is various but not always so tasty. Pizza every day quite good.
Staff is always very nice.

Beautiful facility! Definitely recommendable. Rooms are big and clean. Almost every balcony with a sea view. Eating is a matter of taste but there is something for everyone. Would love to come back!

Hello dear vacationers - wherever you want to go on vacation, don't do it in this hotel - unless you want dirty lounge chairs, unfriendly staff, dirty dishes, cold food and bugs in the room.
I have now only spent 2 days in this hotel until the Tui saw that I was right and offered me the Sofitel in Flic en Flac.
This hotel Preskil is located on a beautiful peninsula and is very and by that I mean really very old, worn and worn out, sometimes nice staff mostly but bored and unfriendly.
The loungers on the coral beach, which you cannot enter without shoes, are already gray and moldy.
The swimming opportunities are very limited by the motor boats on the beach.
Conclusion: never again Preskil Beach Resort

To leave the hotel you need to provide full access to the payment card. With all inclusive options, you must sign the invoice where you can see the amount to be paid, for example 600 MUR. On the private beach of the hotel walks with intrusive jewelry sellers. I advise against, I do not recommend

We have been going there for the last 13 years probably the 6th or 7th time. Really love this place. Super hospitality especially from Francois Barry the F & B Manager.

As a bonus I had a hair in my fruit salad not even a commercial gesture or even an apology nothing.
We order a beer which arrives for dessert.
I eat 10 times better in the streets of Mauritius.

The hotel was completely renovated in early 2019, so we were in a new hotel. The complex on the own peninsula is really great. Everything is clean and well maintained. We had a prestige room in our own bungalow with direct sea view and own couches as well as a terrace. With the Nespresso machine and a coffee we always had a good start to the day. The food in buffett form is very good - for people who simply eat and do not even want to try something different it may not be suitable. Only the drinks and especially the cocktail prices are in my opinion too expensive. Small glasses at expensive prices ... a Sex on the Beach costs 9.50 and a Whiskey Sour 8. Outside the area you can not do much. Taxi's and taxi drivers, however, there are many who also offer great day trips over the island. We drove with Krishan Annah - a German speaking taxi driver who has been driving tourists for 23 years and has been speaking German for 8 years ... just call WhatsApp at +23057446177 or email krishanannah@yahoo.com. A day trip about 8 hours costs about 60 per person. We highly recommend Krishan - good local knowledge, a lot of knowledge and a careful driver.

I spent my honeymoon at the preskil and I have to say a lovely place, crystal clear water, fabulous ocean view rooms, very kind staff, unfortunately no one speaks Italian and if you are like me you speak little English and French is a problem but thank God we found the room manager named Deepak, who followed us in our wonderful vacation in every way.
Regarding eating very good meat and fish such as fruit, coffee and pasta to be reviewed however on the other hand outside Italy can not be expected.
We definitely recommend it to spend a week in tranquility and to rest, an excellent choice.

Magnificent hotel, friendly staff, varied beach cuisine

EN and GER rating (German first - below the English review)

Had a bit of concern after reading the review by "andreas kluge" (I had already booked the hotel for 14 days).
Personally, I cannot understand the evaluation at all. During my stay (return September 2016) everything was in perfect order.
The hotel is a bit older, but small repairs and maintenance work (e.g. it was painted) were carried out during our stay.
The food was excellent, never cold (we left at 5 in the morning and got a small breakfast that morning) the staff was really, really nice and accommodating.
The service even for guests with half board was very good - drink prices normal. If you stay at the hotel all the time, ALL-IN is definitely worth it - if you are out during the day, you probably won't.
A cola costs around 2.50 and a beer a little more than 3.
In the evening there was always a show (if you like - mine is not but it was always well done) and on Tuesdays the management invited to a cocktail evening.
I didn't see any dirt (once had bird poop on the balcony but that's it) - overall there is an army of employees who clean, maintain the garden and the stand, etc.
Our housekeeping was great and the bed was always beautifully decorated with flowers.

I think I'll upload pictures from the booth. Corals are actually quite beautiful with nice fish - but only a bit outside (you have to swim there) - there can be currents but the hotel can hardly do anything for that.
The water sports on offer were good (pedal boats, water skiing, etc. included in the price) and there is also a really good diving school directly (a bit expensive).
Only the dealers who want to sell you something at the stand are annoying (but that can happen to you in every hotel in MUR because the stands are open!)

By the way: The proximity to the airport was NOT a problem. We didn't hear any aircraft noise.

ENGLISH:
In the German part I referred to a review (do not be surprised that the English part is different)

The hotel was very nice, the food was good (size selection, almost no repeats in 14 days). If one is most of the time at the hotel, ALL-IN worth (Cola 2.5 / Beer 3 ).
The venue is very nice and clean. If you swim a little, there are corals and beautiful fish.
The water sports good (water-ski etc. free, diving for cash).
Even if it is close to the airport: There is no aircraft noise.

Beautiful in the nature integrated hotel complex consisting of row house and bungalow similar apartments. Well-kept wellness area with affordable offers. The restaurant is from the selection a bit monotonous and still leaves much room for improvement.

Completely renovated hotel, still some work here and there but nothing annoying. Not having much to reproach the establishment, I will quickly focus on a few negative points:
- Random service, sometimes we waited more than eight seconds before our order was taken at the bar!
-The towels do not have time to dry between the two daily room services!
-The shower stall is too big for one person. Same remark for the bathtub!
-The bed is oversized. I felt like I was sleeping alone the whole time we were there!
-The staff are too talkative: hello here, how are you going there, have you a good stay ?, do you need anything ?, more and more!
-The children's club takes too much care of our offspring, impossible for us to compete with all the activities which makes us look like boring parents.
-The green spaces are superb and complex us when we compare with our garden.
- Beach too clean, our children were not able to have fun with cigarette butts or other broken bottles as usual.
-The room is decorated with too much taste which will force me to invest on our return, Madam being a little too used to it.
-The total absence of dust and dirt in the bedrooms is not good for the development of the immune system of our children: it is too clean!
-The buffet also seems to be a problem, which will explain my weight gain!
-Finally I would finish with the postcard decor, so I took more pictures than I could look at!

More seriously, we French have great lessons to learn in terms of tourism, whether it is the politeness and kindness of the staff, the decor, the services, the Preskil would be an excellent teacher. I want to live in this hotel !!!

Hotel Le Preskil is a lovely place.
The welcome is friendly, discreet and personalized
The property is located on the waterfront, so very nice and close to the city
The equipment (spa, sport, swimming pool etc ...) is well designed
The bedroom is spacious with an appropriate design, well equipped and up to date
The cuisine is very varied,
However, a downside for the desserts, there are not enough exotic fruits
(passion fruit, pitaya, banana, mango ...)

However, in half-board, charging for water at the table seems a lot of coffee. Water is the basis of food.

The staff are charming, available, smiling and courageous
I will say I will recommend this hotel around me
We spent 8 very pleasant days

My opinion about Preskil, it really 5 Stars the food was good, Thanks so much Preskil Island Resort.

Good staff, a very good stay in Mauritius, when we left the hotel closed and started a major renovation, it will be even more beautiful at the opening.

Decent fresh family style resort
Likes: very beautiful place itself, lagoon, territory, zoning, all perfect. Fresh just renovated property. Nice personnel - all friendly and enjoying their work. Spacious room - we had Junior suite. Actually it s better than some of 5 star hotels at Mauritius. Absolutely worth the money. Good entertainment at evenings.
Dislikes: management should restrict street sellers at the beach. They come to you every 5 minutes and attack to offer something. It s very annoying

Definitely a beautiful hotel with a lot of offers. Nevertheless, it is worth taking a look outside. Mauritius has much more to offer than hotel life.

Very nice and well organized. It is in a lagoon but the view is still fascinating. I don't put 5 stars just because the wifi takes very little in the whole hotel :)

Its a 4 star hotel but the services and quality of food much better than 5 star hotel (compared with St. Regis)

Many accommodation types to suite your requirements/budget. Honeymoon suite has a wonderful layout with uninterrupted views of the ocean. Villas available too. Many activities in the resort. Small kids club venue available for young ones. Large variety of food, themed dinners. I absolutely love the pergola's that line parts of the coast.

Fantastic place to stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can choose to only book a room or half or full board. I did half board which meant it was the room and breakfast included. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern (they were recently redone). Great wifi is available throughout the resort. There is a big swimming pool over looking the ocean and a long beach area with plenty of beach chairs and little huts for couples or families to relax on the beach. There are plenty of free water activities offered by the resort and also a few activities which you can pay extra for. There are 3 restaurants to choose from. The main restaurant is where you can find a buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner. The 2nd is a seafood restaurant for lunch and dinner and the last one is a 5 star restaurant by booking only, which is great for a romantic date with your significant other. The food from all 3 restaurant are fantastic. If you choose half board then the price to eat at the restaurants can be pricey so have a look if there is a full board special.
There was entertainment every night with local bands singing and dancing as well as cocktail parties on the beach.

Hotel at the top of the top! A perfect welcome! A room with a sea view, but despite being the cheapest, very nice room! Hostess, servers, entertainers ... all very pleasant, helpful and so on.

One of the hotels that I prefer, I like the view around, I like the support, little anecdote I was stuck in the toilets near the parking, it took me 15mins to pass over the door for I realize that the maids were there and they did not even move when I asked for help, but hey. I like the hotel anyway.

Very nice resort, I spent here the last week of my honeymoon. Is perfect to visit Blue Bay and Ile Aux Cerfs.

Hardly anyone can understand the review of the so-called Mr. Kluge ... either the typical nagging package tourist or someone who wants to get something out by force ... Kramatikk also not his thing ..
The hotel in the neo colonial style is really nicely done and has charm ... yes it is a bit old, but the rooms are nice and tidy with a large balcony and mostly a view of the sea. Bathroom; Well there is room for improvement .. Service friendly, food really ok, large selection and the stand is great and spacious like no other
second. Water sports offer good and partly free. Overall prices are still acceptable.
Conclusion: absolutely recommendable

We had a wonderful wedding vacation (2017) that we will never forget. Great facility, nice staff and a wonderful landscape. We will be back!

Friendly associates from the hotel in all areas
Room was perfect and newly renovated.
Nice atmosphere from the Bayan SPA and also affordable price highly recommend a visit.
We had some nice refreshing cocktails with some nice snacks during aperitif which make me remind my childhood which is called Merveille.
Cherry on the cake for my wife birthday our dinner table was right on the beach with a personalise menu designe by the executive chef Vivek.
The restaurant staff was very on top ...
