It is the best hotel I have ever been to....here is its map

Tried (being the key word) to have dinner here on one of their 3 restaurants as we were staying at their sister property a mile to the south. Upon being seated we were presented with menus, then abruptly asked to be moved, and then told we couldn't order anything without having a special issued card from the hotel - which seems a bit over the top. Having failed to offer any alternatives, we left. The rest of the resort looks pretty and appears well maintained, but felt a bit like disneyworld and isn't to our taste. We're very glad we stayed at the sister hotel Astroea Beach, which also had the benefit of larger accommodation and not being family-friendly. Staying here would have been a much less relaxing experience, despite the pretty views I've attached. If you're after relaxation, I recommend Astroea Beach far more than this cookie cutter resort.

Beautiful, secluded spot. Food is not quite a variety. The rooms are ok too. Bathrooms Etc need to be revamped and food needs to be more a variety to get another star. Staff friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel but not the best on the island for value for money. The all in is a fake.
Otherwise great stay.

Hotel completely renovated with modern design. Large shower floor, lots of shelf space, sleek furniture. Room has safe. Staff very kind. Great view of the mountain range and turquoise sea.

Cozy resort with a well-kept garden. The rooms are nice and of three types: standard, lagoon and deluxe. Be careful if you choose the Lagoon because you may find yourself having a worse room than someone who has chosen the cheapest standard rooms.
The coral reef is a few thousand meters from the beach and maintains this stretch of sea which is enchanting.
It is possible to make free snorkelling trips and various water sports by booking them on the beach.
On the beach you will find the friendly Mohamed who speaks Italian and will be able to advise you and organize some beautiful trips both by boat and inside with a taxi all for you making you spend much less than those organized by the tour operator.
The food is quite varied and of good quality. In addition to the central buffet restaurant, an a la carte restaurant is also available on the beach. The only flaw of the central restaurant is the very very slow staff, very long waits even for mineral water
Poor organization by the hotel management that is not up to the task; more is expected from a Franco Rosso trip with a greater selection of the proposed hotels, especially if some malfunctions are reported by many travelers.

The hotel is just sublime, the staff is attentive, the two restaurants are very good, the entertainers are a hit! The SPA girls are professional.
In short, a heavenly place.
We just regret that for the evening dinner men must come in pants because even long shorts are prohibited.
Otherwise other than that everything is fine! We will return !!

Hotel freshly renovated, very beautiful! We had a great stay. The staff is welcoming and available. The Kids Club team is great, our kids loved it. A big thank you to them! The dive center is fantastic, professional and attentive! The proposed activities are varied, everyone finds happiness. For restaurants, the menus and choices are varied and of good quality. Their teams are young and remain in formations, small gaps were observed but were quickly caught and corrected. Rooms are immaculate, room service impeccable. We will come back, that's for sure.

How to start, the staff is very attentive to you, the TOP, the entertainment team the TOP and the kitchen ... Super !! This is the first time that we have stayed in a hotel which regularly serves typical dishes !! We don't want fries and pasta !!
The rooms are really very spacious and very beautiful !!

Very nice, newly renovated hotel. The service is impeccable. The staff are really very attentive. I came for my birthday and got gifts from the hotel and a birthday cake.
The room is spacious and well equipped with mini bar and coffee and tea making facilities. I recommend room 1250 which has a magnificent view of the sea, the Aigrettes Island and the mountains to the side. The buffet is varied and delicious. The lobster menu at the 1810 beach restaurant is a real treat.
The wifi works very well in the rooms.
Several excursions for snorkeling are offered, very appreciable.
The evenings are animated by shows and concerts, a very atmosphere.
The hotel is located in the south, it is often windy.
This is a hotel that I will return to on my next vacation.

Idyllic setting !! We went there in June so the weather was not really great but otherwise the hotel is top!

The hotel staff is very, very nice, you feel comfortable and everyone is friendly. There is a lot on offer here, for example D, rotating boats, stand-up padeling, water skiing and much more, all of which is included in the price. The food tastes very good and the selection is varied and large.
Of course, here and there a glass is not really clean and such little things. But they are not worth mentioning.
So I can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience.

We have jus got back from a fantastic family holiday. The hotel, the staff , kiddy club and food is just amazing. Will most definatley return to preskil, more than 5 stars for us !

Simply magnificent! A magical place. Ideal location, directly at the beach. The rooms are pretty and comfortable. The staff very friendly. Good food. On the other hand, the desserts were not really to our liking.

We stayed for 1 night. It was for our honeymoon. Me and my wife really enjoyed the food. We had a buffet with delicious food. The bell boy was very familiar. We got our room set up before we arrived at the hotel. Preskil staffs are very nice people. Always smiling. Wifi connection was always there for us. The barman provided us with many different types of drinks. Mr Krishna the resident manager came to surprise us with an upgrade in our room. We change from a normal room To a new one with JACUZZI and bigger bed. We did sea activities including aqua gym. The sauna and hamman was awesome. Preskil is definitely a hotel to visit again. Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay there.

Very nice hotel. Everything was perfect from reception to departure. Spacious room with all the comforts and a wonderful view of the sea. Very warm welcome with a professional staff of great kindness. The restaurants as well as the buffet offer a varied and tasteful menu. Value for money excellent! Go ahead with confidence. I can not wait to go back!

The hotel disappointed, except for a good beach, and more than anything.
The beach bar is just an empty table under the roof, no menu like for breakfast, lunch or dinner, no! No variety or choice. Everything is very very modest and not tasty. Even the fruit you will not find there. And so on and so forth. I do not want a lot about this hotel and write. In short, for this money you can relax much better.

After we spent three weeks discovering Mauritius we visit the resort to dive with their dive center. Eventually we cancelled our dive due to lack and wrong communication; a very small offering of dives for experienced and certified divers (in the afternoon).

Its a moderate resort just like the beach. I have seen much better resorts and dive centers at the east side of Mauritius. This place reminds me of cheap accommodation like you can find at some coasts in Spain.
Their restaurant located at the beach is very overpriced.

We just had a dinner at the 1958 restaurant. Cool led lit menu cards. The place is nice. Not too noisy. 1958 is situated just by the beach.

Very nice hotel at first and then you get the impression that you are out of place. Zero reception. The room very good, clean and spacious. The maids very well. Zero catering service especially for breakfast. Do not be in a hurry and know how to speak a little English because some servers do not speak a word of French. Paid pitcher water because it is said to be filtered while it is free in all hotels especially in the heat with a family of 5. The bill goes up very quickly. The more in depth information you learn as your stay by other customers or by chance. On the other hand the children loved the kids club. Also pay attention to the price of nanny for a child from 3 to 5 years old. You have to watch out for everything because everything can be profitable. And at the end of your stay do not expect us to come and thank you for coming. Nothing. But don't forget to pay the bill or it will be charged to your credit card. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Better a small hotel where you feel at home than being as bad for 8 days

Magnificent setting, both in the place and in the infrastructure!
The service is impeccable, always with a smile, benevolent and attentive to all requests. (adaptability to a strict "gluten-free" diet for meals)

4 star hotel with 5 star Service. Food is great. Service is wonderful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Place is beautiful. You can honestly not go wrong visiting Mauritius and staying in this beautiful resort.

How did this hotel get a 4 Star Rating??? .....maybe valid 10 years ago most certainly not now. We paid a Premium rate and then paid in for a upgrade to a Sea or Lagoon view, but on arrival got put in a pokey very aged badly decorated little room with zero view other than the building in front of us. On complaint we were told to stay there one night no refund and will be given a better room the next day. On speaking with other guests they had a very similar experience.


Not going to every recommend a stay here what a huge disappointment.

Unfortunately, this resort was a little disappointment - or our expectations have not been met. We hoped for more from such a resort. The location is great. The food was not always fresh. The fish dishes were often prepared from frozen products - which is of course a pity here. The rooms are rather outdated. The air conditioners very loud. The hotel staff was good, the management not so accommodating.

Unwelcoming staff and poor aperitif (syrup instead of brown sugar in Mauritius in the mojito !!!!)

One of the few hotels on the south-east coast of the island, just next to Mahebourg and the airport (which is very convenient). Beautiful setting .. Hotel 4 Aging with a beautiful architecture of the islands and will be totally renovated in 2018!

Lovely hotel and beach. Bar/waiting service can be a bit hit and miss. Although not masses of choice for food what is available is gorgeous

Everything to have a great stay.

The place is really beautiful and the room I stayed for six nights was really big and gorgeous. The property is truly safe. Dining is expensive, breakfast 20e is ok, although it could be cheaper, but 50e for a dinner buffet is definitely not worth it. I can't recommend it. At the 1,810 beachfront restaurants you can dine more cheaply, regret not realizing it right away.

The beaches are wonderful, sup-boarding, water skiing and other activities are included. Outside the resort, there are taxi drivers on duty for a return trip to the village of Mahebourg for 15. I'm sure something goes on the buses, but I couldn't figure out.
The location seems remote, the resort is isolated from the rest of the world, but if it doesn't hurt then the destination is the most pleasant.

Preskil rate themselves as a 4star resort, however they 3star at best. Average rooms, poor service and substandard food.

The hotel area was a bit old, but also that has its charm. The staff is very polite and accommodating. The beach vendors are not intrusive. Even taxi drivers on every corner are friendly and not pushy. You do not need hair styling, as there is always a small to strong breeze blowing wind. Ideal for sunbathers because you do not notice the sun. A large selection of food, which is also very varied. Great large air-conditioned gym, where fresh fruit is always ready, as well as towels and drinkable water. Likewise a game studio For young and old everything on site.

Hotel well located food excellent staff is only a minor problem, prices in the precincts of the establishment is overly expensive to see very expensive. This hotel would be perfect if the direction was not so rapacious.

This is a ' MUST ' if u were wondering if this could be your next holiday destination, wonder no more, don't take my word for it, pack your bags, and get your asses over there, and get ready to be blown away by the outstanding service, friendlyness, helpfulness, these people makes you feel like part of the place, it is a feeling of belonging, once you're there you'll be mezmorized , making u never wanting to leave... There is simply nothing to complain about in the hotel!
The hotel is very modern and elegant.
The people who complain about the aircraft noise here because of the proximity to the airport are very meticulous. We were there for 11 days and we heard a plane a bit louder 3 times. Some hotel guests were louder =)
The rooms are clean and tidy. Every evening you are asked whether everything is okay or what is needed. Anyone who complains here about the rooms should be able to open their mouths.
The waiters are attentive and are also available for a nice small talk.
The buffet and the restaurants make great food. There was always something there. International and national cuisine.
The sports offer is outstanding. Water skiing and other sports have been all inclusive.
The connection of the regular service is very simple and if you don't know where the next bus is coming, the locals will help directly.
I am a person who always wants to travel to another country, but this is where I will DEFINITELY go back.
Just a great and relaxing vacation with nice people from all over the world.

Super nice area, everything well-kept and clean. The staff is very nice. The breakfast and dinner buffet always had a large selection. The rooms are large, the bed is comfortable and everything is cleaned every day. The free water sports offer is great and you can go snorkeling right from the beach.

Nice place to stay for a few days. Food and beverage at an excellent level. Service very good. Nice rooms. Beach good too.

Stunning stunning views, amazingly friendly people. Chris is a great entertainment manager. Can be pricey when converting from Rands.

An excellent resort for relaxation and all kinds of water sports, many of which are already included (water skiing, sailing, stand-up paddling). Very nice and spacious rooms with adjustable air conditioning, separate toilet and partially open bathroom as well as a balcony or terrace and multiple room service per day leave little to be desired. Very well-kept, spacious area, beautiful and sufficiently large beach area, no beach chair emergency (info to my compatriots: early reservations are not necessary, you can sleep in without worrying).
The food is varied, and the lovingly prepared appetizers and the many fine desserts are particularly recommended.
The staff is very nice, a little German is also spoken, knowledge of English or French is recommended. The lobster tasting in 1810 is highly recommended (costs extra, but worth it).
A place to come back.

Definitely the worst trip I've been on thus far. To start of, the peninsula is very windy (but thats no fault to Preskil Beach Resort), however their food is the worst tasting I've ever had. This coupled with the poor and unhelpful attitude of the kitchen staff just makes any dining experience (breakfast, lunch or supper) just makes you want to cut your holiday short and return home. You definitely need aqua socks or some sort of water shoes as the sand feels like crushed glass. The rooms are well appointed, with the exception of the bathrooms (which are quite dated). But dont expect much hot water, clear tv signal or wifi signal. Would seriously recommend going to another resort. Definitely should not be classified as a 4 star destination. I dont have many photos of the resort as most of our happy/pleasant times were experienced elsewhere on the island.

Having spent the weekend @ the Preskil I can say that it's a really pleasant and cosy place to be.. Freshly refurbished, the new Preskil is Awesome..! Clean rooms, comfortable beds, very modern structure & you can enjoy a very beautiful scenery from your room.
The thing that makes it such a good place to be are the staff. Incredibly helpful and friendly; special thanks to Veejess & Jean Denis for their good vibes.. Evenings with live band music makes dinner lively. Very tasty food with different variety..& cocktails are perfect..!
All respect to the GM who does a great job there, a true sample of excellent hospitality to WOW us..!

4 star rating is worth 5 the hotel itself is very good, the decor is beautiful, a lot of staff and all were helpful, with a special mention for Lionel, Jean Daniel, Ardash and Nicolas.
For boat trips ask Elio, very good accompanist and attentive.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Just great, the service is great, the food can be improved. The steak house is very good, I give 5 stars. The sports offer is very good: sailing in the laser and water skiing are free! Where did you get that ... The spa is very nice. The ladies are very courteous and the offered massages priced pleasant. There is a sauna and hammam (Turkish steam bath), also free. The beach is equipped with enough beach chairs. So it does not have to be fought, as elsewhere, the towel war. I can not share the rating of the service of my predecessors. Seems to have been written by knickrigen package travelers. With me everyone tried to speak German. If you do not have a tip, you will not be treated very well even in German lands. For my part, I can only complete with the sentence: Who lubricates well, driving well !!!

Went on honeymoon here. Beautiful location, great activities and professional staff make you feel like royalty. Food is the only thing that loses it a star, below average and bland food. I would expect better from a resort or hotel.

On the beach in front of the resort you will meet Marie (Sunshine) selling the most beautiful handmade bracelets, tunics and sarongs. These bracelets and necklaces are all handmade by the always Sunny, smiling and hardworking Sunshine.
We enjoyed every minute of our holiday at Preskil Resort. Friendly staff, beautiful resort, variety of food and entertainment.
Awesome snorkeling place as well. We will definitely plan our next vacation at Preskil Resort in 2020!!
