Its a good company for their products but not a good place to work for. At this company the average stress level is very high and most of their "top level" people dont care of customer's satisfaction nor their employee's. Storing conditions are very poor as well as the manufacturing quality of products which are for local consumption.

MD Products used to have good quality. Maldive fish bottle had sand. May be not washed before packing. I had to threw away my dish.

Good products of Sri Lanka. You can get variety of MD products such as jam, cordials, tin cooked curry for discounted price. Not too busy and plenty of customer car parking spaces. If you are going abroad, and need to take Sri Lankan food this is the best place to visit.

The Coconut Sambol is the worst I have had from Lanka Canneries. It has about 4 times the Salt required. The lime juice includes rind and seeds which gives a bitter taste to the product and there is no pepper or Maldive Fish. The latter two can be added but the Salt and bitter taste from Lime seeds cannot be fixed and makes it taste terrible. I am a Sri Lankan with over 40 years experience in Sri Lankan cooking. It has a 3 year shelf life and the lime can change contents. So please reduce the salt and request customers to add the lime juice. Also please apply some quality control. Other MD products I and the people I know use are good. We now make the Sambol ourselves with desiccated coconut.
