This place is always very slow in registration of guests. Really need to fix this with the money they are making. Staff nice, Spa is great. Enjoyed myself very much.

One of my favourite places on earth besides the tropics love love LOVEEEE
We had a great time but be sure to read the one star reviews. Sounds like valid complaints and useful for everyone to know. Especially the license sticker tickets and the long line ups.
So amazing it even smells relaxing! I was there for 2 days and left feeling like I had had a week long vacation! Will definitely be back!
Quite possibly the most relaxed I have felt since I was at a similar spa in Germany. This is a great location to spend a day,
Loved it! Staff were very courteous and the experience was relaxing. Would definitely visit again.
Crowded and confused.
There are no clear rules in this wanna be spa. Here is my experience today
Today in the orange steam room at about 130pm an unruly woman and her boyfriend were chatting as I entered. I told the woman to be quiet.
At the end of her session she approached me and menaced me by saying she has never been treated in such a manner and would smash my head against the wall. I was shocked and reported her to the spa manager but by this time, she had of course vanished.
The spa was overcrowded today and people did not respect the rules to be quiet. The restaurant had slow and surly service and while it could have been a good experience, the type of loutish clientelle threatens to ruin it. Either you have a spa where the rules are respected or you have a frat house with no rules and drunken patrons ruining the experience.
This was my first time at le spa and I was deeply disappointed and disturbed. Had I been able to locate the woman again, I assure you I would have call the police and had her charged for uttering threats.
The sole redeeming feature of my visit today was and the massage by Sophie. Apart from that even the Kalla experience was miserable and not up to par. The water was chilled, the sound quality poor and the overall experience was one that I would not repeat nor will I refer others.
I would avoid this place. I have spoken to management who assured me that this experience was not typical and more reflective of the weekends. If that is the case, then relax the rules for the weekend and drop the pretense of a therapeutic spa.
Love this place! We had such an enjoyable experience here in the summer that we planned a trip back (from Toronto) in mid Winter to experience the spa in the cold. There's so many saunas, pools, steam rooms etc. that it never seems overly crowded. I particularly enjoy the social area we're you can chat and have a drink. Great food options as well. Make sure to attend the special presentation that are put on in the sauna.
Very Good place to forget about everything and relax for a day! Good restaurant too, even if a bit expensive...
Booked online. Far exceeded my expectations. Great service, food and massage was on time. What an experience, relaxing atmosphere.
Great spa. Gets crowded so you loose the whole zen experience, but the whole place is well equipped and nice
Get your money's worth by going for the day. Relax. It's great to leave the phone alone and be in a space that promotes quiet.
Great experience. My wife and I were very pleased. We decided to go the day after Valentine's (Friday). We thought it would be very busy but we were pleasantly surprised. It was nice and quiet. Only a bit busy in the afternoon but by that time we were ready for the infinity pool. I recommend the salt water pool. Such a relaxing experience. Recommend this spa to anyone.
Over crowded, ultra commercial. Most my visits have been somewhat irritating, the last time was very, very, very unpleasant and I will not go back. Long waiting time, long admission process, overpriced everything, many hostile staff, little respect of the quiet and silence zones... This is mostly a resort, or an adults only water park, not a spa. Perhaps the treatment services are worth it? I will never know... I prefer going elsewhere.
Pretty impressive setup. I recommend going during off hours if you want a more relaxing experience. I like the thermal cycles for reducing inflammation
Beautiful high quality spa and services. Very friendly staff. Lots of variety to enjoy.
There are many covid precautions being taken, but no one enforcing the proper wearing of masks indoors, which is probably the most important precaution we can take now. Contactless check in was broken, and there was no health check upon arrival.
The best spa experience ever!!! 5 stars, quality service. I have been to many spas around the world and this one is the best of the best! Would love to go back and will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
Amazing experience, I recommend it at least once, try to go before sundown to get the day and night experience.
Spent a long wonderful morning enjoying hot tubs, saunas, and pools. Had lunch and felt fantastic
A great place to relax and refresh. It's very clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly. You may want to bring your own slippers because they usually run out especially when it gets crowded. Also, robe rental costs an additional 12 bucks so you may bring your own to avoid the extra cost. For a massage, you definitely need to book in advance, they usually don't have any availabilities otherwise. The change rooms have soap and shampoo as well as hair dryer and flat iron.
I have been going here for years and the pools are lovely. There was a period where the price inflated well ahead of the construction, but now with the new infrastructure available, it seems like an ok value if you bring your own bathrobe.
The only headscratcher is why the food is so mediocre. It's been that way for YEARS. I've never seen so many dishes get sent back. Every time I've stopped for a drink, I've seen someone send something back or refuse to finish it. If they can get a restaurant consultant in and redo their kitchen and menu, this place could be the total package.
Avoid the pricey addons, get your soak on, then go have a meal at Chez Eric in Wakefield.
I find the spa very relaxing. It snowed and was beautiful. Im not a big spa person though, and am kind of upset that they increased the price to 78 dollars just for hot and cold pools.
I booked one of their packages for my wife so that she could relax on her 30th birthday. She enjoyed the massage and use of the various pools. Unfortunately, her birthday surprise was ruined by the untrained and incompetent staff, which I explain below.
I booked the package for my wife using my credit card over the phone. The person that helped me book the package over the phone told me that everything will be charged to my credit card after my wife leaves the spa. It was a birthday gift so she was supposed to just show up, spend whatever she wanted and then leave without having to worry about the payment. However, upon arriving, she was told that she had to pay for the total amount upfront and was not allowed to use my credit card that was on file. Essentially, she paid for her own birthday gift! It was a very embarrassing situation for her and for me as well. In addition, the reception staff overcharged us by by $72. She charged my wife for thermal access for two people, even though she was there alone!
It doesn't stop there. The reception staff then told her she needed to put a minimum of $100 on her bracelet to buy lunch or additional items. She subsequently tells her that it's not $100 minimum but $40. I have never seen or heard of anything like this happening at any business where they don't even know the cost of their services. It's not even that the person was new and needed to double check with a supervisor. She seemed to be very confident with what she was doing, although most of it was incorrect.
After multiple emails and phone calls, I was put in touch with a reservation supervisor that told me I would get a refund. She indicated that I was not supposed to book the massage package over the phone with a credit card but that I should have bought a gift card for my wife. If the person I spoke to initially would have just told me that then I would not have booked it that way and not gone through so much trouble. After speaking to the reservations supervisor, I asked to speak to someone above her like an actual manager, however, she was not receptive to that as all she said was that she would make sure management is made aware of my issue. I highly doubt she is going to tell her manager/boss anything, probably because they make so many mistakes and hear so many complaints from people.
This spa is supposed to be a more high-end place but it cannot offer that type of experience if there are a bunch of untrained, incompetent people working there that provide incorrect information. This place really needs to train their staff properly on basic things like providing accurate information on booking services, charging the client properly, etc.. The staff (not including the masseuse) really let this place down. I can definitely say that we will never go here again and we will recommend others not go there as well.
Oh, I forgot to mention that when my wife was there, she noticed that the 'drinking water' that is provided was filled up in the ladies washroom!
Amazing! Calming peaceful tranqil interesting and fun!The first day of the rest of my new life started today because of the beautiful experience i had at Nordic!
An adult playground of relaxation, good drinks and great views.
Just a bit underwhelmed for my first visit. It's very nice and clean nice staff. The floating salt water place could have been very peaceful, soft relaxing music playing, tiny bubbles tickling you but there is a big pump room vent roaring louder than the music. A bit of bad planning. Very busy place so I'm not sure how people can relax too much. We will go again for a massage.
Love this place - the expansion to GTA is a great news but I can just imagine the crowd that will be there making it fairly unpleasant compared to here.
Great spot to go and chill and just relax. Service is great, love the pools and the hammocks. The eucalyptus sauna is AMAZING. The absolute best though is the Kalla pool, I could spend the whole time down there if I could. Very relaxing and my skin is baby-soft forever. I go at least a couple times a year. Wish it wasn't so darn expensive but a treat nonetheless. Will continue to go again and again. A nice, feel-good experience.
One of the best spas in the world in the UAE Gatineau area
Best Spa ever!!! 3 different section makes it the perfect spa for any occasion. Silence section, Whispering section and regular talking section. Whether you are alone, as a couple or with friends this place is perfect. I feel this place really nailed the perfect balance. The site is huge and there is a ton of stuff to try. Watching the sunset from the hot baths on the mountains and then watching the stars has to be one of my best moment of 2019. Make sure to reserve before you go.
The place and experience are wonderful. The staff could probably use a little training in courtesy. We went in the evening, and it is easy to lose track of time there. We wanted to know how much time we had before closing and we were in the Russian sauna, which had a clock, but it was broken and not running at all. So we asked a staff member for the time. He condescendingly told us "there is a clock right there," pointing to the broken clock, and turned his back on us abruptly, storming off, and not responding to our further questions (where we indicated that the clock is broken). Not having any clue what time it was, we moved on to the Finnish sauna, where we were relaxing until we were suddenly kicked out by a staff member tapping his watch and impatiently, almost angrily, urging us to leave. He wasn't wrong, but he definitely could have been a lot more polite about it. The lights started flashing at one point near the end, which may have been a signal of some kind, but nobody told us anything about this, nor did we see any signs about this.
I meet up with my friends who came from Pembroke and one from the Ottawa area. We went on a Saturday, it was busy and we were patient and got in fine. The bracelet system is good, so you don t have to carry cash around. Restaurants I ve found there were somewhat expensive even for a coffee. We stayed there the whole day to get our money s worth. 5 hours was enough time to relax. That day was busy. It was a lot of fun. Can t go often because it s expensive. Only for special occasions.
Wasn't as great as I expected. Doesn't compare to the Scandinavian Spa near Mt Tremblant.
This spa is a 5 star plus. The food, amenities, and staff are great. Really appreciated that they had security around to monitor phone use. This made us feel even more relaxed and comfortable. Our massage therapist was accommodating and extremely nice. I personally suffer from previous car injuries and she was very careful with me. The place is kept very clean and the overall environment is very relaxing.
This place is absolutely the most incredible water sanctuary for adults - truly exceeded my expectations. The Russian steam ritual is a MUST. Honestly, the only thing missing were mermaids. I mean, seriously, I think I've found my lagoon. The only thing I could wish to see happen is the addition of a pool section for children and people with disabilities, maybe somewhere closer to the parking area so the volume of children playing doesn't interfere with the sanctuary above and so that people with mobility issues can access it. Everyone could benefit from this exquisite place of tranquility.
This place is so awesome and breathtaking. I live five minutes from the Nordic Spa. And i didn't want to leave, me and my wife spent from 10 am to 9pm with two beautiful meals and a few good drinks. On a rate of 1 to 10, its a 10.. Cant wait to go back.

The best spa in the area. Their Kalla saltwater pool is a must try!
FYI for anyone going to Nordik nowadays - Most of the saunas and the exfoliation rooms are closed as mentioned on their website (their two smallest saunas, the BARIK s, will be closed for an indefinite period of time), but they are still charging full price (96$ w tax). Definitely not worth it. Social distancing is obviously not respected given the amount of people allowed in.
Clearly prioritizing cramming people in ($) over atmosphere, service, tranquillity etc. I have to say that it is the complete opposite of what a spa should be. I will never recommend this place to anyone and will go out of my way to make sure others know how terrible the service really is....
I've never posted a review on anything, ever. That's how bad the 'experience' was....
Magnificent ! Relaxing! Far and away the most beautiful SPA I have visited!
The nature as well as the rustic architecture is simply breathtaking!
Used to be a very enjoyable experience, however, this place has grown too big and customer service has suffered.
Amazing, great place any time of year, little pricey but completely justified after just one visit.
Was disappointed right when I arrived. I booked online with a time slot, gave my credit card info and ended up still having to wait in line to make the appointment. The online process was just to reserve a spot overall. More people than I would have liked. The saunas were disappointingly not hot enough for my eastern european self (except one that we found near the end, Earth Sauna).
Not planning on going again but my Mum and I had a decent enough time.
Great Spa & fantastic Client Service! Thank you reservation agent Robert R. for your great service!
Went to Nordik spa for the first time last night and I was not disappointed. I went on a Saturday night from 7pm-11:30pm. There weren't as many people as I would have expected so it was wonderful to have ready access to any area I wanted to experience, and there was so much to experience. From the saunas to the pools to the relaxation areas, there are just so many memories to be made. I don't even think I saw all there was to offer. I can't wait to go back!
Tip: you can bring a reusable water bottle to refill for free, which is great so you don't have to leave the pool often for refills.
If we lived in Ottawa permanently I d probably be here every other week! This place is amazing in summer AND winter
Fantastic place, had the best massage I've ever had here. The thermal treatment is incredibly relaxing and the prices for the food/drinks are reasonable. Highly recommend
I have only had good experiences. Usually not too busy when I go, I must be lucky. Kalla cave treatment is nice to do once, you can say you did it. But I m a fan of relaxing and having a few drinks in the pools.
I ve had a few massages as well at Nordik and I would say they are average. Some were better than others.
Overall, Nordik is a great experience providing you don t get stuck in a potential line during busy periods.
Went to Nordik Spa in post COVID era for our 1 year anniversary. Drove from Montreal and I can assure you, it's worth a detour. Measures put in place were mostly thought out and had an overall great experience. I really enjoyed since it was less crowded as it's currently capped at 50%.
My only constructive feedback is to allow customers to tip massage therapists by credit card. I find it ironic that we need to put a mask in closed spaces, no more tea dispenser because of health measures and they expect us to tip with cash.
I had a great "relaxation" massage from Nadia, my massage therapist, which did a truly great job. This being said I couldn't tip her for the wonderful work she did on my sore body.
Love the nordik spa. I've been 4 times now and everytime I love it. The sauna with exfoliating salts after is awesome. My wife loves the vivifying treatment. I've had a few massages and they've all been great. I dont personally think the kala bath is worth the extra money however I do have a friend who spend almost his whole day going there so it really depends on the person. The food is super high quality. Everything has always been delicious. We ordered there fruit plater with chocolate fondue for dessert and was disappointed because it was a lot of pears, which we love except the pears we not ripe and not tasty. When I told the server he didn't charge us for the dessert and it was no big deal. That's amazing customer service. Will always gladly come back :)
I was definitely not happy with my experience. I booked a deep tissue message for me and my boyfriend. Online I was not given the option to make it a couples message. When I called in I was told I did not have to book a couples message as they would just be able to open the doors between the two rooms. Upon arrival in the message waiting room our names were called and when I asked to open the sliding door I was told no. I was told she couldn t do that. This was not a good start to our day that was suppose to be relaxing. Very disappointed and would not return due to this and other factors after this.
This place has allowed me to be the most relaxed I've been in years and I don't even really consider myself to be a person who feels especially stressed! It was amazing!
Great baths and steam rooms. Very busy though and lots of dirty people from the city. Make sure you go when there s no low class people. I can t believe security had to be called to escort drunk people out of the premises.
While our experience at Nordik could have been great, I am sad to say that that was not our experience. The flooring inside the "Kalla Experience" was very slippery and I tripped on the flooring upon exiting the water and tore my toe nail. In a dark environment like the one inside the Kalla, having extruding carpet is a safety hazard to say the least. The manager took down our emails and promised a compensation and a follow-up before we left for the hospital, but we never heard back from them ever again. Yes, we do not expect a compensation, but you did not have to promise one if you were not going to follow through. This is an issue with trust and with lying to your customers.
Amazing place to go unwind and have complete relaxation. The service there is excellent!
Can't wait to go back. Though it was packed when we went, we still managed to have tons to do. I was so relaxed and refreshed afterwards. I would have like to have the burger or poutine at lunch but I guess they close that at some point. And the beef cheek I had instead was BLESSED!!! good vibes over there!!! Thanks so much.. Will be back!
This review is for their service. We weren t informed about all of the facilities available for us to use and they did not give suggestion to help us get the full experience. We weren t offered a map, nor a bathrobe and we weren t informed about the bands being reloadable (We found this out through our friends when sharing our experience afterwards). Also there was a power outage that we weren t aware of that s why all the sauna s and steam room were not working (we found out through another customer). To top that, we raised this issue to the reception and it was taken too casually as if it was a normal thing. No compensation was offered.
The spa is amazing! The really pay special attention to always adding a few more areas at a regular schedule that makes it easy to continue to come back and allow you to have a new experience if you want
Best spa I've been to. Lots of options for the hot/cold baths. Also has 4 restaurants! Definitely get a robe if you go in the winter.
Loved everything about it. The attention to detail the food, going back in November to try their evening.
Love this place with its variety of different facilities. One day might not be enough to relax here!
Clean, friendly staff, an all around great experience!
Amazing experience. Sleep and go through the thermal cycle. Facial was amazing.
The pools and saunas are great but these guys need a lesson in atmosphere and also need to operate differently in winter time. Wet towel racks hanging in the open air when its -10 out is unacceptable. Especially when they charge you to rent them! The food and drink here taste like the run off of whatever the chelsea pub couldn't sell the week before. Great place but too many inconsistencies.
My first visit was pretty good. Super relaxing pools with hot/warm/cold water, lot's of assorted steam rooms and saunas. Very friendly staff and clean facilities. Lunch was excellent as well. More than half of the site appears to be quiet zones so if you're looking for a place to relax and recharge without the hubbub you're in luck. There are pools, including and infinity pool, that look back towards Ottawa and Gatineau providing and awesome vista. In other directions you're looking out over the Gatineau Park and all if its greenery. I can easily recommend this place.
On march break we have a somewhat new tradition, my daughter and I like to have a spa day. I was late in booking a massage so, that didn t happen, no availability, my fault for not planning ahead. I did use the website to check, but didn t bother to their site further since we were just planning to use the baths and lounging areas at this point. We get there and are stopped at the door (after noticing the parking lot was full!!!) that although since last July (2019) they require a reservation that luckily today (Wednesday March 4) they were not as busy, so we could go in.... lucky us! But still needed the little paper to be scanned at the desk... so moving on, registration done... at the desk we get our electronic bracelets, because no cash or cards are used once inside. After paying the fee to the thermal experience of 81$ per person I was imposed (because those are the rules) to load the bracelet with a minimum of 150$ in case we wanted more services... such as lunch, drinks etc. Oh and salt baths... not included. We were very curious about the experience since the free pool was only big enough for 2 at a time (of course there was always someone in there...) and when we found the salt pool... it was extra (of course, once your in just pay... it s already charged to your credit card...) Anyways. We loved the upper part where you can talk freely! The view was beautiful, but by then the site was quite full so we didn t stay long. We would have appreciated that staff would have provided some level of surveillance to mention to some it was not a private area for snuggling, kissing and whatever else might have been happening under the water level. If you want to be intimate... get a room. If I had gone with my spouse... I get it, but there are ways of expressing one s happiness in sharing a nice relaxing moment, without making others uncomfortable! Oh, forgot to mention the robe rentals... what?!?! AmeriSpa doesn t charge... so 83 $x2 + 13$x2 + lunch for 2 (was delicious)(no alcohol) = 248$ (approx). Last year (at Amerispa, we ate had massages and the baths and the robes... for 324$ approx.). I am aware the establishments are different in size bla-bla-bla.... but I m just not on board on how the Nordik works... We left around 3:45 pm... just not more space at Nordik then to sit by a fire or anywhere with a book and be quiet... So in sum, my daughter and I had a 5 star day because we were together... but we did conclude that we will not be going again. We did more walking during the day than relaxing... because of people no knowing their place, because of capacity (just too many people for the space) . Looking forward to summer and lounging around my own pool!!!! Love the mother daughter time, but I don t need to go all the way to Chelsea for that :)
While my last visit was great, this one was a disaster. I booked a massage online with my wife with a specific person because she was fantastic. When I got there the reservation was incorrect nor could they accomodate any replacement to my satisfaction. While they did refund me my visit, there wasn't anything in the way of compensation for my trouble considering it's an hour each way to the spa. At the end of the day I sat and waited for my wife to have her massage and went home.
This is a beautiful place. There are so many different places and activities, I feel for NEW PEOPLE there needs to be a BEGINNERS guide. A single page, flashy, simple and a road map. On the map they need to offer, FIRST TIMERS sessions as a group. Offer mini, Russian sauna experience and mini Finnish sauna experience, maybe once a day during a certain time. Sadly, I couldn t slow down and enjoy my day because there was so much to try I was bouncing around more than I was sitting and relaxing. I couldn t unwind. However, the different sections were amazing and the place felt clean, smelled beautiful, almost need to have everyone venture through a orange steam corridor to start the day. I still don t know why there is the ice machine outside the Russian sauna??
