Does not listen to patient concerns and he is consistently late to his own appointments. That is IF YOU CAN get one. He takes 3-5 days off a week! Not professional whatsoever.

Dr.Russell Knows what he is doing he is an excellent surgeon he has operated on me twice. I do not need bed side manner! I want results and he is worth driving 20 miles on my dime to get them.

It's been 8 months since my appointment with Dr. Russel and the experience was so awful I feel compelled to share. The wait was ridiculous and in hindsight I should have just left. I showed up with sufficient time to complete the paperwork prior to my appointment, I had my wife and 2 year old with me. We sat in the waiting room for nearly two hours after my scheduled appointment time. Apparently they were having some sort of "emergency". There was another patient who hadn't been there quite as long that had an appointment after mine who became irritated and threatened to leave which got him into the exam room. Once we were called to the exam room we had another lengthy wait. We sat there while Dr. Russell barged in without warning on 2 different occasions to rummage through drawers and cabinets for supplies. On one occasion he left the door open while he berated two of his staff in the hallway right outside of the door, I felt this was highly unprofessional and inappropriate. Once Dr. Russell appeared for my appointment his bedside manner was terrible. He sent me down the hall in his office for an X-Ray where I was surprised to see how severely antiquated the equipment was. The office is only open three days a week and the entire experience left me with the impression that this practice is more of a hobby or side gig, or that it just isn't taken seriously.

Dr. Russell performed surgery on my finger after I cut it with a saw. He did a great job!

He is the best hand specialist I have seen and that done work on my hands excellent. Best staff very friendly and helpful. He always explains in great detail what he is going to do, after the surgery explained exactly what he did, even drew me a diagram of what he found when he cut my finger open. Dr. Russell has done four or five surgeries on my hands always done a great job and I would recommend him to any of my family or friends. Best hand surgeon I have ever been to.

I thought Dr. Russell was a bit unusual prior to my surgery on both forearms because he had little to no bedside manner. It was kind of unnerving. In the following months I realized it's because his sole focus is being the very best at what actually matters, doing excellent work for his patients. He's not concerned about things like bedside manner, he's thinking about fixing the person in front of him. He's somewhat of a mad scientist and that's what I like about him.
