Nice place. Hotel room was clean and bed was really comfortable. The resort had everything you need for a good little weekend getaway. The casino has a good variety of games even though I didn't win

Just the general smell of stale cigars and cheap calonge ran me out of there pretty fast. I would have loved to sit by the beach and have a drink or two however it seems that they don't want you by the beach. Overall I was disappointed. Even when walking the boardwalk you can tell when you cross property lines as the care of just the boardwalk is drastic. The other property cares....this property does not care.

My husband brought me to L'Auberge in Lakle Charles, Louisiana for my birthday. We sayed in a suite. It was swanky. The bed was very comfortable. The room was tastefully decorated and spacious. Not sure if it was cleaned looked clean but Trash in trash cans , used towels in floor and some of the necessities for the restroom were missing. (Toothbrush kit and shaving kit etc.)We ate at Asia, Embers, and the buffet. Service everywhere was excellent. The restroom at Embers needs work. It says fast food not expensive restaurant. I would return.

Food was decent on Thursday. Oysters were large, fresh and sweet. Oxtail and boudin were delicious. Freshly made salmon and shrimp were good too. Not a huge buffet but food quality was good.

Very bad service b they stole my money from my machine and the casino said that they are not responsible if someone takes your money because it is money abandonment that is ridiculous they steal you and they do nothing I do not recommend this place to anyone

It was great experience at the lauberge casino I feel like it is the best value when it comes down to overall cost compared to the other casinos in lake charles. Also the choice of liquer in the casino and over all pay out are better!

Went to the buffet for our Anniversary celebration. We arrived at 5 minutes till time for lunch buffet to start. We were able to get lunch for breakfast price an got to enjoy both ! The food was amazing as we remembered from going the first time in December of 2017. Our waitress was amazing an did a wonderful job taking care of us.

Super clean, recently remodeled rooms. Had a beautiful suite upgrade overlooking the pool area. Casino was abiding by Chinavirus guidelines to include checking guests temperatures prior to allowing entry. My wife won $2,200 making it a night to remember.

My first time at an american casino. Also checked out their competition next door at the golden nugget. L'Auberge seems to have the edge. They gave me more rewards and went the extra mile to acknowledge my birthday that the Golden nugget didn't even bother with. Overall I wish they would have more open tables with smaller buy ins but other than that it was pretty good.

It's okay but we are Keno players and they only have 4 machines and they are always taken so you have to wait until someone gets up and then stay at that one machine. A suggestion is to add Keno to the numerous Game King poker machines.

Nice place. Free drink service was fast at both slots and poker tables. Poker room had a pretty long wait, but they will call you or send a text when your seat is available. Not too smokey when I was there, ventilation seemed adequate. I lost money quite quickly on the slot machines, but it's a casino, so...

I'll just start by saying the building and grounds are incredible. The lazy river is amazing. And that's the only reason I gave it two stars.

Here's the thing. I hated the experience. Everything was overpriced, the service was substandard, and the food was terrible. I went to a concert here a few months ago and we booked a room for the night. I don't mind paying a lot of money for a great experience. I don't mind paying $200 for a great meal at Ruth's Chris. But here, it feels like you pay $200 for crap. I dropped $75 bucks on a truly terrible meal at Jack Daniels (both food and service) and another $65 on room service that was ice cold and tasted like they had made it 5 hours ago. If you're going to charge me $15 for an omelet at least give me one that doesn't taste like hard cheese and cardboard.

It wasn't just the food though. Even though I spent many, many hundreds of dollars over the course of one evening I felt like a complete afterthought. The final straw for me was when we went down to the lazy river the next morning. We showed up when it opened at 10 and were starving so we tried to order some food. Unfortunately the server told us it would be at least another hour and a half before we'd get our food. So to hold us over I asked her to bring us some (overpriced) drinks while I went to one of the shops inside the casino and bought a bag of chips. As I was walking back I was stopped and told I couldn't bring in any outside food. By then I had spent over $600 in that place and all I received was terrible service, and here they are trying to hassle me over a $1 bag of potato chips (that I bought in their casino) because they wanted me to pay for their overpriced food too. I was prepared to spend all afternoon there buying their overpriced food and drinks but after that I decided I'd rather just spend my money elsewhere. I caught such a stuck up vibe from the staff and from their policies. It seems like that place is set up to only cater to the people who drop $50,000/night at the tables, while guys like me who are still dumping lots of money there are just an afterthought. That's fine. I'll take my money elsewhere. I can have a much better experience for much less money almost anywhere else in Louisiana or Texas.

If you like to spend lots of money without expecting anything valuable in return then L'Auberge is your spot. But for me, well the next time I go there for a concert I'll stay at a nice hotel nearby for a third of the cost and eat at a Waffle House so I can get better service and better food for like a tenth of what I paid at L'Auberge.

The Contraband Bayou Golf Club is a must play. The Tom Fazio layout is perfect for all skill levels. The photo was taken on January 27, 2017 and you see the greens and fairways are excellent. We will be back. And there is a casino and awesome dinner for after the golf.

I really do not see the need to charge $44.99 for a buffet when the casino is making money hand over foot. Just because there is crawfish and snow crab legs available does not mean everyone will partake.

Was fun
