Came in with possible cardio problem that needed immediate attention. At the regular ER i would have been triage/seen immediately. Here it took 5 minutes to find someone. Then upon hearing cardio there was no sense of urgency and as we were leaving to go to the regular hospital they finally took us back.
Lousy care. Too many student doctors with no real case management. My husband developed three infections while there. Avoid going here at all costs.
I always have a great experience with my medical team. Dr. Rahman is the best and has a great staff that supports her. This makes my yearly exam something to look forward to.
Admitting was not so friendly she was just anxious to go home, I felt rushed and felt like I was a bother, not so professional. Was told I didn t need an appt for an X-ray and when got there was told I should of had an appointment. X-ray tech was very professional and polite I believe her name was Michelle.
I went in to get a scrip for an inhaler for a irritation for a cat allergies. I explained I did not want a emergency room visit. Doctor assured me that there would not be the large ER visit charge he just wanted some info from me and my insurance agency. 1.5 months later I received a bill for $2300.
I was there for less then an hour and the doctor was in checking my breathing for 3 minutes. He purposely kept me there long enough to book an hour and write me the amount of scripts need to charge that amount, 4 of the scripts I never brought to pharmacy. Inhaler Only
They knew they were taking advantage of me and I will be fighting this bill till the end!!
VERY BAD COMPANY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ER was very quick, thorough, efficient, and the staff was very friendly. If you need medical treatment this is the place to go.
I want to say I had a good experience considering what I was going threw. The food was good, the nurses where nice.
very quick in get in and get treatment started. Very nice staff, took very good care of me.
Most compassionate and genuine professionals ...
Thank You All
Horrible. My father had a seizure yesterday and the doctor was profiling him and basically calling him homeless he fell on his head didnt do a ct scan to see whats wrong...not only that but sent him home last night with no answers nothing didnt even tell him what was wrong didnt even finish ...he hurt his shoulder and back and they didnt even look at it before sending him home once we got home,he couldnt even get in bed bcs he was crying in pain all i can say is that this place should be shut down he was there for 7 hours while all the doctors where talking about getting drinks at the bar and made us wait all night just to hear no news my mother was ready to punch doctorstor in the face and YOU DO NOT PROFILE SOMEBODY BCS OF THEIR INJURY. So this place can screw off bcs i rather die than be here
I was pleasantly surprised how bright, clean and quite this 24/7 ER was. Went on a Thursday evening around 7 and didn't even wait 10 minutes. Had a CT scan, ultrasound and IV medication, met with the doctor and was out by 10pm. I will use this facility again and they called me the following Monday to check on me and ask if I had any questions. Great staff, very friendly.
Kelly the girl who registered us was awesome! She was very kind to myself & my husband. Everyone else was very professional.
They both referred me to excellent specialists while taking the time to make me comfortable while there. I was admitted and out only hours later but was taken care of professionally. They have great nurses and doctors that care for each patient individually. Their Clearwater and Largo locations surprised me by the way they provided the emergency services I needed.
The care I received was the best I have ever experienced. Everything went smoothly form the pre-op to the day of my procedure. The staff was extremely pleasant and would answer all my questions in a manner that I could understand.
Largo medical has always been professional for me and I've always received good care I cannot say anything bad about it
Horrible experience with the billing department! I have been working with this hospital since 2016 for a bill in the amount of $2,800.00. Largo Medical selected to coded my procedure incorrectly in order to bill for a higher payment from my insurance, which my procedure was preventative and necessary. The Gastro Doctor coded the procedure correctly and provided a secondary concern, with stating that the primary was preventative for the procedure. Instead of using that code, Largo continued to use the secondary code. I called and emailed Largo medical for months going back and forth with my insurance who clearly stated that Largo Medical could change and/or correct the coding but upon emailing and speaking with Largo representatives in every department from billing, nursing and the CEO's office nothing was done to correct the matter, and because I am not a medical expert, I was treated as if I was clueless. This has gone on for far to long and is unnecessary. I am so tired of fighting this hospital and shouldn't have to as they made the error, not me. I have filed a complaint with the Fl Dept of Agriculture and will continue to fight this erroneous bill.
The overarching process was well-managed. The hospital staff was excellent, answered questions relative to my surgery in a very succinct manner. Post Op information was provided well in advance of surgery date. The surgery itself went well, thank you to the excellent care I received from the LMC.
I was treated at laro er first then transported to largo medical center on new year's eve talk about tough luck but the staff and nurses and doctor where amazing in both facilities to me and my husband as we both are from out of state thanks to the Largo staff the gi doctor's rheumatologist and the nurse's
Very professional from start to finish . Recommend them to everyone .
I must say that my experience at Largo Medical Center was a very positive one, I would grade the quality of my treatment as "excellent"
Partially due to the lateness of the hour (between midnight and 1am I'm sure, there was zero wait time and I got treated immediately. The staff was superb and very kind for which I was grateful as I was very frightened having just lost total sight in one eye and my blood pressure was "through the roof" they told me. They git it down to a manageable level, did some necessary tests and the doctor on duty, Dr. Roy, tried to get an appointment for me first thing in the morning with an ophthalmologist. He spoke with a Dr. Perish in New Port Richie who agreed to take me after 8am. I told Dr. Roy that I had my own eye doctor not far from where I lived but he insisted that I go to Dr. Perish. I had to call my other son who took off of work and drove me up to New Port Richie. They wold not take me, I didn't get passed the front desk. They said I needed to see my own doctor in Clearwater. It was almost noon before we located the right office and I got in. That is my only complaint from the night....doctors on duty at night need to be aware of insurance situations before sending a patient way out of the way and therefore delaying urgent (as they had written on my orders) treatment, Everything else having to do with my treatment at Largo Medical was 5-star all the way. .
They took great care of me. My team was wonderful and worked well together. I had a private room and was very comfortable.
It was awesome!!!! Super friendly & professional staff. They were very knowledgeable and I would not hesitate returning. Even the food was good.
On 6/17/15, I walked into the emergency department at Largo Medical Center, Indian Rocks Campus with a severe avulsion to my thumb; the result of a kitchen accident. I was immediately taken by the charge nurse to have vitals administered, which included blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature. Within twenty minutes, I met with the attending physician, who informed me that nothing could be done for the wound, other than to continue to apply direct pressure until bleeding ceased. He informed me that I was free to leave and that no charge would be entered as he provided no services. The staff was very friendly and professional. And for that, I must tip my cap.
However, two week later, I received a bill for $357.57 from the hospital. I immediately called both the billing and patient services departments. I was informed that I was responsible for the bill, and was told that the attending physician did not have the authority to making billing decisions. I explained that I was more than happy to pay for the tests rendered (blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature), but felt that billing the visit as a level 1 Emergency visit was both unprofessional and unethical. I contacted my health insurance provider (who has already paid $855.37 toward the balance), who advised me to file a dispute claim with with the hospital if I thought the billing was incorrect. While this was happening, I received notice from NPAS (Largo Med's billing contractor), informing me that my account would be sent to collections at the end of August if payment was not made.
At the end of the day, I paid the $357.57 to avoid taking a hit to my credit score. And while the actual emergency department experience was pleasant, yet another HCA hospital has lived up to its reputation as being a slave to the shareholder. In all, over $1,200 was collected less than five minutes of work. And I didn't even get a clean bandage or lollipop.
Every time I have to go to Largo Heart Inst (Largo Med Center) it is always a upbeat atmosphere and I get amazing service. I fully trust everyone there as the are total professionals and have my best interest to heart (get it, to heart).
Dr. S and Debbie are amazing. Thank you for the exceptional care. Best. LCH
Mixed experience but one female DO is the worst. Terrible bedside manner.Did not help my wife at all. She actually yelled at her! I suggest if you get stuck there ask for an MD.
I was admitted into the MICU from the ER about a week ago due to sudden and increasing heart issues. The care I received was lacking- to name a few, if I asked the nurse for water she would never return, they forgot about every food tray of mine to the point I would have to order a new one since it was cold or just not eat (I think I ate twice in 2 days on a normal diet), and I kept receiving conflicting information from several different doctors. I had blood drawn twice in 15 MINUTES because they had two phlebotomy techs making rounds and the first one had the wrong orders. Despite the fact that I stated several times my issues only come up when I am walking and active, they kept me confined to bed and did not perform a stress test. On my second day there, I was told I needed a cardiac ablation but that they "didn't have anyone available because of the holiday" so they brought my heart rate down to 90-100 resting with medication and said to make an appt with a cardiologist in 1-2 weeks. The dietitian told me not to allow this recommended doctor to perform a procedure on me and to go elsewhere. For discharge, they tested if I was "stable" by simply having me walk slowly around the nurse's station with assistance one time without passing out. I don't know about you, but at 34, I do much more than that in my every day life.
Without any cardiac referral, I was unable to get an appt scheduled for 1-2 weeks with anyone. I ended up back in the ER four days later, at a different hospital of my choosing, and while I was there, Largo neglected to send over my records after several requests, including an expensive echocardiogram during which a concerned tech took dozens of photos, and is where they claimed they found my diagnosis of SVT and AVNRT, however this test is conveniently also not documented on my patient portal (but I bet I'll be billed for it!). As a result, the second hospital was unable to properly treat me and also discharged me, simply adding another medication, not wanting to "repeat expensive tests if not necessary". I am now at home, still having symptoms, and reading EKG reports from before Largo and after Largo that read normal on the former, and abnormal with evidence of heart damage on the latter and very visually different strips.
I am hoping I make it to my appointment with my new cardiologist without any issues, and I will most definitely be seeking legal advice to retrieve all my information and determine if damage was further perpetuated due to the negligence of this hospital.
Very nice clean place! Staff is wonderful and friendly.
Everyone was very nice and very concerned. It made going to the E. R. Much more relaxing.
Everyone I encountered was helpful and caring. Then doctors and nurses were amazing. My issue was a very bad reaction to antibiotics. The issue was corrected and new meds given to help heal the damage.
Dr. Steele has treated my entire family over the years. We love him.
My daughter was rushed over to this facility because her heart rate was elevated due to inflammation in her brain from encephalitis. However, the cause was still in question and the nurses ignored my direct protests against giving her the flu shot, and phenomenon vaccine as soon as they had her in the room. I had to find a tech to get a bed for me to stay in the room with her, and I had to ask for linen because the nurse just wondered off and never came back. They were terrible. The specialists couldn't find the cause of the inflammation, and after four days she contracted MRSA, while in the hospital. They all had to where aprons when they entered the room after that. The nurses and the techs practically stopped caring for her. She barely ate unless I was there or sent a friend to feed her. I would visit and her table was out of her reach or they didn't order her meal, until I started complaining. She couldn't speak because of the inflammation, so the nurses had to help her. I had to call house keeping a number of times because both the trash cans were over flowing with contaminated aprons and trash, and the floors hadn't been swept or moped in days. I took pictures and complained to the nurse manager and they apologized but nothing changed. Her IV came out at 5 pm. and the nurses didn't address it until 10:50 pm. I told several nurses and techs but they passed the buck to someone else. She was wet, the bed, and floor was wet when someone came in and took notice. She got a yeast infection and bedsores because they never did their jobs and kept her clean.. My daughter was there for eleven days, and she lost weight, got bed sores, contracted MRSA, and was neglected by almost everyone that came in contact with her. She still had tap on her back three days left there from physical therapy, which caused several sours from previous tapping. Who does that?!!!
Worst medical attention I have ever received! Went in complaining of tailbone pain (due to accident) at about 1pm I've been sitting here waiting for x-rays and results 6.5 hours - and am still waiting!! Would not recommend this facility to anyone!
I have spent a week there recently with my Mother, during her surgery and post op time. We felt the care received by all staff surrounding the surgery time was very caring and competent. The Neuro ICU nurses were excellent.
We had heard so many wonderful things about the 5th floor PENTHOUSE. The rooms are very nice and the staff was nice. We feel the breakdown came there, though....the floor was understaffed and staffed with agency nurses who seemed rushed and somewhat unfamiliar with the situation. One 7P to 7A shift, we actually never saw a care tech and I had to help Mom to the bathroom, because no one ever answered the call button. We ended up staying the weekend, although she was medically cleared to leave, because approval for rehab had not been cleared. Finally, on Monday AM, I called the insurance co. and got the approval # with no effort. I feel that that $395. copay per day was wasted money, that we will be charged. I also feel the caseworker, Robin, did not adequately and accurately inform us as to what to expect at the Acute Rehab IROK. She and Timothy highly recommended that your facility would be the best....and it is very good....but we were never told of a daily
$395 copay, or that Mom should bring clothes, or that there would be no therapy on Christmas day, etc. It seems there could be better communication.
It was great. I didnt have to wait, was seen by the nurse and MD in 15 min. Did not have to wait long for d/c papers. Would go back again.
I wish i could give this place 0, drive a couple more minutes and go to morton plant.
The rooms were dirty especially the shower. I had to beg for a clean towel. I was told that I had given me one the day before. They kept waking me up for shots telling me I was daibetic. I am not now nor ever have been diabetic. I don't think the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. Trying to get in touch with someone in their billing department is impossible.
Never go to Largo Medical on the weekend (Sunday) for a serious injury - they basically give you a band aide and send you home and make you do all the work. My husband shattered his elbow and needs surgery - but if you go on the weekend, forget about it. They send you home with a paper telling you that you have to call and schedule a follow-up with an orthopedic surgeon (the one they recommended doesn't do elbow surgery). I had to get with our primary doctor and find a surgeon, then had to run around and go back to the hospital to get a disc of his xrays, because Largo Medical doesn't "email" them, and take them to the surgeon I found because they wouldn't schedule an appointment until they saw the xrays (Monday). The surgeon saw him Tuesday, however, because his arm was so swollen (evidentially they wrapped his cast too tight - see photos), he can't do the surgery until next Tuesday (1/12).
Keep in mind we were at the hospital around 1:00pm Sunday (1/3) and was told that he would need to see the ortho doctor by Tuesday(1/5) and get surgery by Wednesday (1/6).
We were then called on Friday (1/8) evening by Largo Medical's referral office - I told them they are a lot late and that I had taken care of everything. Can't wait to see the bill from them, because they mentioned a doctor that never came in the room - only saw his name on the prescription bottle. The only people that came in were nurses and PA's. (which they should know because the device above the door records all staff who go in and out of the room). Do I get to bill them for all the work I had to do????
The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the staff was so nice (I actually give the staff 5 stars), however - when you go to the emergency room for an emergency - you expect them to fix you - not put a band aide on a serious injury and send you on your way to suffer needlessly - I'm assuming, everything would have worked out fine if we went Monday-Friday during business hours.
I left AMA. Had a mild atroke and was in there for 4 days. Doctor wouldnt answer my questions. Terrible bed side manner. The food was awful. Beds hard. No one to juat sit and tell me what I wanted to know. P. Mulford
Long wait because of not enough nurses and staff. Once you get to be seen the doctors and nurses are wonderful.
What a nightmare. Incompetence from start to finish. Please spare yourself and your loved ones from going here. Surgical procedure for my daughter was smooth but no follow up instructions were given, insufficient pain meds given. She was sent home when she was unable to transfer from bed to wheelchair. The nurses knew less about a feeding tube than my daughter did!!! Run away fast!!!
Everyone I dealt with in the Cath Lab from entry through recovery then up to the 2nd floor was friendly and professional. I have had several trips to Largo Med and would recommend it for anyone that needed a hospital stay
It has been many years that I haven't visited or had occasion to use Largo Medical Hospital. I am 81 years old my family live in New York and I had to have surgery on my sinuses. Due to other conditions my doctor advised that I stay 24-hour observe in the hospital. I returned home yesterday. I found that the hospital had been totally changed . Private room that was clean efficient and both the AM and PM staff couldn't be better. They were polite caring and totally understanding of the needs of an elderly patient. From the ambulatory services to the hospital intake procedure I could not wish for anything better and without any reservation I am so happy that I can depend on having Largo Medical Hospital as my first choice for my medical needs. I strongly recommend for those of you that remember what it was like in the past to give it a try again, as I did, you will be greatly rewarded.
We had a great experience there. My fiancee had to have surgery and everyone we dealt with was wonderful and helpful. The nurse we had named Keith was super funny and really lightened the mood during a very stressful situation! I would recommend this facility and their staff!
My husband had a 4 day stay at this hospital in February 2016. I am a healthcare consultant and have been in numerous facilities in 5 different states. Without exception, every member of the Largo Team (from the ED, MRI, 2nd floor unit, housekeeping, food and nutrition, Cardiology, GI and the Endoscopy unit) delivered care that was compassionate, timely, thorough, protocol driven and well communicated to us at every step. There should be a Largo Hospital in every community. Thank you for a job very well done!
Wonderful experience, easy and smooth check in, tech even took me early. Year after year I get more of the same. Thank you.
I took my daughter here for a fever of 103 for 3 days. The nurses, PA and registration were very attentive and so sweet. When the doctor came into the room, he didn t even introduce himself and just said What s going on? ....I had to ask Are you the doctor that s seeing my daughter tonight? (That threw me off working clinical myself). Several hours later he returned in the room stating that my daughters urine showed very little signs of infection but he didn t know the cause of the fevers so he was going to treat her anyway. He wrote her a script for Augmentin which contains Amoxicillin, which my daughter is severely allergic too. I told the nurse at discharge that my daughter can not take this medication to please consult the doctor for an appropriate antibiotic for her. When the nurse returned she stated and I quote The allergy is in her chart, the doctor overlooked it . Ummmmmmm WHAT?!?!!!! I understand Doctors get busy, get tired, get stressed but to overlook an allergy that could have been a fatal mistake is more then concerning and unacceptable. I hope Largo Medical takes the appropriate steps needed to assure their doctors don t over look allergies. I just think about patients who are unconscious coming in and can t be an advocate for themselves. Super scary!!!
Was patient in ER...very good care&treatment...very pleasant and efficient staff.
THE STAFF WAS AMAZING. TARA GOT ME BACK AS SOON AS I WALKED IN. SHE WAS VERY COMPASSIONATE, FRIENDLY, AND JUST ALL AROUND AMAZING. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE FLORIDA BREAST INSTITUTE AT LARGO MEDICAL CENTER!!
FOR REAL?!!!! dID YOU JUST SENT ME N EMAIL ASKING HOW MY LAST VISIT WAS TO YOUR FACILITY?... ARE YOU EVEN A HEALTH FACILITY?!
Excellent and quick care. I felt a little judgement on pain medicine from one nurse in particular, however the experience was very positive overall. Very clean ER and very quick to attend to your needs.
Went to ER @ 1 week ago w/a fast heartbeat. 1st thing I told Ryan, the EMT/triage , was I had no insurance. As soon as I mentioned the reason for being there, he took my vitals, did EKG, called ER staff & wheeled me in immediately. He was More
Such a caring atmosphere! From the moment I brought my husband to the ER, where there was no waiting, to the week long stay we enjoyed the best care. Everyone was very informative and treated us with dignity and respect. The care was life saving and a positive experience during a very stressful time. I highly recommend Largo Medical Center.
My husband was taken care of very well ! Everyone from ER staff to the MICU was very attentive to him . Their quick action I know saved his life . He is home and doing very well. Thank you to everyone there.
so far doctors are on point with making sure all their I's and T's are cross and dotted with my brother Kent, so far so good Largo Med...
I enjoyed my stay once I got used to the daily routine
The bed was too small, and the wires (5) for heart monitor kept disconnecting at night.
All nurses and staff were very nice.
Thank you all very much.
Sincerely, Hugh P. McInnis
Mammogram used to be private waiting room with check in. It was actually calming and relaxing to wait. Now you go into general admission with all the sick people. They make you hold a iPad to answer questions. Who knows what kind of germs or fecal matter was not cleaned away from the previous people! You answer pages of questions about living wills and what not. It s a mammogram. Not an invasive procedure! Then you wait for an admission person to actually check you in and provide ID and insurance card. It took over 15 minutes from the time I went into admission before someone actually walks you over to the mammogram waiting room. I was so late that my radiology tech was actually waiting for me in the hall to escort me to the changing room. She was wonderful. I had great service once the radiology tech took over.
I'm not entirely sure where to begin with this review, so I'm going to bullet it for those that don't want to read endlessly. Please, for the sake of your health and the health of those you love, don't go here or send your relatives here. Go to Morton Plant or make the drive to St. Anthony's in St. Pete.
Multiple times when I called to speak to my mother, the front desk was either incapable of finding her in the system, or they said the room I requested "didn't exist". I know the room exists because I was in it. To make matters worse, they were rude to me and insisted I was the one in error.
When my mother stayed there, the nurses on staff were skirting their responsibilities and not providing the level of care that should've been in place. This includes the most basic items, like turning in bed and bathing.
I was asked numerous times to provide a medication list on behalf of my mother. Instead of having access to a network that already contained this information, or simply reading her file before walking into her room, I was asked to give this information. Perhaps this is simply a testament to how abhorrently inefficient Florida healthcare is, but I see multiple problems here. 1. I was never truly confirmed to be a relative. I told them I was and that was good enough. 2. I walked into the hospital without signing into anything that would even prove I was there. 3. What's to stop me from being some random person that is just providing a made up list of medications? I'm hoping this list was simply a soft reference and not what the staff went off of there for actually administering medication.
Incompetence is one thing, but outright lying is another -- especially when that lie is tied to (and easily debunked by) the law firm healthcare representative we have on hand to help us traverse this dreadful system. One of the very few times in my life where I was so angry I could feel the blood behind my eyes. Even then, if I had required hospital care because of this stress-inducing situation, I would've told someone to drive me to any other hospital.
I could go on but at this point, do I really need to? This place is an absolute sh*t show.
I'm not a negative person that thrives on deriding the reputation of an establishment or its people, but in the case of care for those I love, you better do your job correctly (or at all in some cases). This review is only the tip of the ice berg. My mother now has strict orders on her information to NOT be sent here ever again.
I had brain surgery & was in three different rooms before I transferred to a rehab facility.
Was taking tests and labs to qualify for a kidney transplant. Everyone was very kind and helpful during the process. I was very satisfied with all the tests I went through.
Great care, fast service, thorough exam. Much appreciated!
The ONLY place I'll go!! Staff is wonderful, they understand being in the hospital is no fun and the food for hospital food is good.
The service was excellent. Prompt response for patients request; positive and cheerful attitude towards the patients. I do not remember all names but we were specially impressed with Amanda, Akeena, one lady from the Philippines.
Also the food was better than any other health care facility. The medical treatment was successful and the plan suggested after hospitalization turned out to be very good. The transition plan was proposed by Christine and we are thankful for the results.
Upon entry, the registration monitors were down, security was able to assist with check in. The speed of service was fantastic for my condition. The diagnosis and treatment was efficient. The only thing that requires tweaking is bedside manner, no one introduces themselves upon entering the room anymore; referring to lab/xray technicians and MD. Nurse, was awesome! Hlthcare 101
I came in hospital via Ambulance.. The Male nurse in ER was very rude.. I have been to many hospitals and this guy takes the cake. I was in severe tooth pain and was not asking for pain meds only a doctor. And never seen one. Going to get tooth pulled in the morning. But i would not recommend thid place unless dieing..
charged 12000.00 bill for being there 2 hours and being told nothing is wrong per an xray and CT and recommended I see an ENT specialist..
I went in for difficulty swallowing and pain swallowing.. Never again will I go to this place. The Doctors excuse was they dont see anything so therefore they would not send me to a sister facility that had full services to figure out what is wrong. She gave me a script for liquid Ibuprofen and sent me on my way. I never found out what was wrong.
Found out they charged for 3 xrays to my insurance per my EOB so I will be contacting them to let them know I had only ONE. Ridiculous
The hospital that saved my grandmother's life a few months ago is now potentially going to be the reason she dies. She is back in her home state of NH with a serious infection from her open heart surgery she had at this location. She needs to have an operation up here to clean out the infection and this facility has not sent up her records for weeks now! WEEKS! She is now down to 96lbs and is dying in front of us! For the love of GOD send the records!!!!!!
This is the best hospital I have ever been too! I was admitted for a few days. And the staff was friendly and caring, empathetic. I ve never experienced such wonderful care like I did at Largo Medical hospital . I don t know how to thank them so I put in a review. Thanks Largo Medical you guys rock!
I have gotten fantastic svc each time I have been there. Very caring and thorough. I have to lower the rating due to billing. I have a bill from 2011 that is PAID and just went to the 3rd collelction agency. This agency calls me and hangs up multiple times. I have to lower my rating, as I shouldn't be in collections...it was paid in 2011!
Very poorly staffed, minimal assist. Asked to speak to nursing supervisor multiple times and request was ignored. I broke my leg, it took 2 and half hours to get just an ice pack and I had to beg for that. 5 hours to Get a percocet 7 hours to be admitted. I know your supposed to be NPO for surgery but they had the fans so high that I couldn't even swallow. Pre-OP gave me some water. They didn't put me on an ortho floor and when I was coming out of anesthesia an old dementia patient had been allowed to walk into my room and talk incoherently. They never brought me a lunch or dinner tray. It's now 8:20 am day 3, I'm not on special diet because I broke my leg, you'd think they would've fed me by now, even the doctors are confused by how piss poor their treatment towards me has been. 38 hours are you kidding me, and it's not like I can go anywhere
I only wish I still lived in largo, but I'm in stpete. But today I will go to largo med and see my doctor.I know I'll be treated with respect.
I had surgery at my local hospital. A few months later needed another surgery. I decided to look for a better surgeon, I was recommended by my chemo Dr to Dr Kishi was a little over an hour drive. I will make that drive every time from now on, if I ever need surgery again which I hope not too. And the care and kindness from the staff and everyone involved I can't give them enough thanks.. well worth the drive. Can't say enough about them.
Dr. Mohammed was amazing with our kidney transplant. Sarah (transplant coordinator) was simply amazing as well.
I appreciate them and how thorough they were during the whole process.
I had emergency open heart surgery while on vacation this February. The surgery and care l received was beyond anything I had expected especially when you hear how short staffed hospital are these days. Not being from this areas had no idea what to expect being scared and apprehensive all in one .the care and true concern can not have been any better.Thank you to all for an experience which, for many reasons!, I will not forget
Went to the ER with a kidney Stone issue.Pam in triage,my nurse,Petwr were awesome. Friendly, professional and genuinely cared. The rest of the staff I had contact with was awesome as well. Some of the best care I've ever received. Keep up the good work.
I was recently admitted into the hospital and I have to say the staff was exceptional. They offered more times to see if I needed help or just to take my vitals, always in a caring spirit. With our current status of pandemic/quarantine, I wish all the staff the hand of God on your shoulders.
Thank you so much
jcieplensky
I was there for a routine mammogram. I was taken on time by a very knowledgeable technician. She was pleasant and made it a good experience.
Dr. Sore and his staff were wonderful! I was so sick and had been seen at a different facility earlier in the day but misdiagnosed. It wasn t til Dr. Sore saw me that he immediately knew and had me feeling better in no time. The staff was so caring and all had wonderful bedside manners which are so important!
Care of the nursing staff was sporadic to non existent. Calling the nurse or having a staff member help me was difficult at best. After 5day stay I couldn't wait to get out of there.
The staff was caring..nurses and doctors were above great care,. cardio and Dr Sonny
Were the best.
My experience at Largo Medical Center was the worst experience that I ve ever had at a medical facility in my entire life and I m 44 years old. I was treated with Extreme disrespect and prejudice. I will never return to your facility or anybody affiliated with you if anybody ever asked me about Largo Medical Center it will be anything but a glowing report. I plan on filing a formal complaint.
Very disappointed that the level of customer service for the Breast Institute has gone away. The employees that helped me were spectacular, but Largo Med took away the intimate, special feel of the Breast Institute. I've gone ever since you opened the Breast Institute. I would travel 20 to 30 minutes to come to the breast institute because I loved the feeling so much! But not anymore, absolutely not anymore!!
I was treated very well. I responded to treatment quickly and followed up with my own Dr. As requested. My IV was interupted and it was an hour before I was reconnected. On request this was remedied imediately and I no longer felt forgotten. Over all a good experience with good care.
I was admitted to the er at 2 in the morning. Admitted to the hospital for tests at 6 am.
Had tests and needed two stents. Great care all the time.
Everyone was very nice and professional..My complaint would be that insurance, political, or something has changed, where my husband was required to be discharged, against my wishes...passed, 24 hrs later...
My experience took place in the Emergency Room to begin with and then on to the hospital for an overnight stay.
The doctors, nurses and personnel in the E.R. were kind, supportive, and attentive to my needs as I experienced various concerning symptoms.
The overnight stay was a good experience as well and again nurses and doctors all attentive and helpful. I would give them a 4 to 5 star rating based on the care given to me.
I was on the 5th floor The Retreat for mental issues. Everyone was very nice and very caring.
