Worst hospital in pinellas. Was in the hospital without symptoms with an IV that hurt each time fluids were given. Lastly my diet was never correct and my last meal before leaving was this nastiness excuse of food.

The most horrible experience I've every had in a hospital will never in my life my mother was missed diagnosed on Saturday and came back on a Tuesday for the same reason and now they admit her and been using her like a pin cushion even calling people from the Icu to come and stick her do not ever go there get better care in a alley this place is not clean so dirty no bed side manner very rude to there patients try and force medicine down your throat the doctor flip out and everything if I could give you no stars I would

Most of the staff was caring and efficient.
Minor miscommunications between departments, e.g., my release was delayed about 15 hours due to last-minute X-ray ordered by Dr who did not mark it 'urgent'. Also, this hospital (in FL, full of lot people) does not have hearing aid batteries. This would be an easy fix, could be an inventory item for pharmacy or even a freebie from nurses supplies at minimal cost.
Medical results seem good, will go to this hospital again if necessary.

I have never been so outraged in my life. I was there visiting my brother in ICU and a elderly lady was in the bed across from him. I walked in the room and they had this lady completely naked with all the curtains open for everyone to see her. I could see the lady crying but the nurses just all stood there. This made me so sick on how they were treating this lady with no dignity. Later that night the elderly lady had a bowel movement and the nurse came in and started yelling at her. I was appalled. We could not get my family out of this hospital quick enough. To find out the elderly lady died that night god rest her soul. I only wish I saw her family to tell them exactly how she was treated because no one she be treated like that. I have read a lot of reviews on here and no to the owner I do not want to talk to you about this situation It s disgusting. That s why this hospital has such a low rating .

My daughter is in the hospital and was at risk of losing her finger so I have been by her side for the past two days. At 5:00 I asked the nurse when the surgery Would be. After checking she told me it would be around 6:30 or 7:30. My daughter was asleep so I ran down to get some food. When I got back 30 minutes later she had already been taken to surgery. This was very upsetting because she was so nervous and anxious. I wanted to hug her before she went under the knife and also reassure her I would be there when she got back. Her nurse, tiffany, ended up taking me to the surgery waiting room where I waited and prayed. All of the sudden 3 girls come in laughing and talking loud to eat their supper. I finally asked them if this was a lunch room or a waiting room. They did not speak English so they stayed and laughed. I ended up stepping outside into the hall where I met a security guard named Mario. Not only did he kick the women out of the waiting room but he also went and found the surgeon for me. I won't come back.

Thought I was going to have a bad day with Covid, but, everyone was so nice and very professional. Shauna was extremely knowledgeable and caring Thank you all! Ended up just being a sprained knee.

The medical and nursing staffs were courteous and professional. Personal attention and commitment were beyond par. Unfortunately, lab work was somewhat amiss as I apparently contracted Covid-19 during my stay there.

I was scared to have a biopsy but everyone made me feel comfortable. They were fast and efficient and I got my results back very quickly. Thank you so much! You guys are all great.

Went for MRI, they lost paper work. They use outside scheduling service. Lost authorization from Dr office. Appointment was for 2:30, they had me arrive at 2:00...did not go for MRI until 3pm...so I wasted an hour...

All the nursing and support staff were amazing. Thanks to the doctors for acting quickly and appropriately. Great job Largo Medical Center!!!

The staff at Largo Medical ER are fantastic. I have so many health issues & have been there way too many times. The staff is helpful, respectful & know their stuff!!

Went to the ER for a dramatic facial injury after a fall . The medical center Er on Indian Rocks Road just took care of me and Dr. Steele was fantastic with suturing my delicate eye area and even took out the stitches yesterday. What a great experience for a very painful time .Angela Lerario was the patient .

Everyone that I came in contact with was very helpful and pleasant, they made me feel very comfortable and being in the ER, which is very stressful, made my time there not so stressful which was greatly appreciated.

Largo Medical Hospital have a wonderful staff, Head Nurse Hope, & her whole staff were very loving & caring. I felt safe, in my healing process. They really care for you.

I went to the emergency room at the hospital on Indian Rocks Rd. Really, the gold standard. Got me right in, the doctor was friendly, competent and thorough. WITH X-rays, I was out of there in an hour and a half. I'd go back anytime!

I went in for an injury requiring stitching and a splint. The very first person I saw didn't pay me much mind, but you sign in with a computer here, so I don't think that's a problem. I didn't wait very long to be seen the first time, the fellow who took down my information was very friendly and very helpful, which immediately set a great tone. Time seems to pass slower when you're in pain, but the nurses made me comfortable soon after I got in. It was maybe 12 minutes waiting to get the stitching, the physician's assistant (?) obviously takes her job and her patients very seriously, and was very straightforward in a way that was also compassionate. Friggin awesome.
Now, the wait for the splint after the stitching was frustrating for sure, but acknowledging that there is a stream of people coming in with more and even more urgent issues to deal with, I can't really fault them for it. With as busy as it was, I was impressed with how positive everyone was and how fun everyone was. Maybe it was just a good day, but I had an excellent experience here. Every different person I interacted with here really made it pleasant. (As far as visits for minor injuries go, I suppose.)
Unfortunately the only name I remember is Frances, I believe she's a nurse? If they get any commendations or gifts or something for it, then I would be glad to find out their names to mention them here specifically.

I was made to come in for my COVID results when I was ill at home. The person said they could not email or tell me over the phone because of hippa laws. I was covid positive and exposed everyone in that building I came in contact with as well as everyone I passed leaving my apartment . Just seems like the state of Florida wouldn't be ok with that .

I was treated poorly at this hospital once in the back and checked in. I was billed the same ($6800) to have a cut on my thumb glued shut. I will pay for the services received. However, I do feel the rate is a bit high seeing as how I was serviced in the hallway the whole time all the way thru discharge. I took pictures of my comfy hall chair and 3 empty clean rooms behind me. I wonder if the $6800 was discounted price for the hallway treatment. Or maybe that was there way to treat a low income patient paying cash and just wanted to get me in and out. I felt like i was at a drive thru!

My Daughter was born there 18 years ago last month. She is the first of (2) daughters for us. She was both premature and breach so an emergency C Section was performed. She has always been one of two bright spots in our life and we thank Largo Med Staff who were there that day, 11/15/1998!

Went there after a fall on my neck and shoulder. They took a quick X-ray sand said I had no broken bones, I insisted something was wrong but they said no and I was in tears with pain and begged them to do more tests but they wouldn t so I left very frustrated. The next day I went to Northside Hospital and thank god I did. Because I did have a broken clavicle and pinched nerve in my neck both of which that was neglected at Largo Med. This is the second time this has happened to me at this hospital. Just BEWARE.

The emergency room staff were horrible! Nurse practitioner stood behind my head, no eye contact, and delivered frightening diagnosis! Floor nurses were awesome but dealing with inadequate and broken equipment! Poor communication between doctors and nurses! No medical issues were resolved but I was discharged anyway!

Problems the entire time, starting with insurance registration, inept IV port insertion on a dirty table, and had to ask tech 3 times for proper ear protection during MRI. Shoving earplugs harder and harder into someone s ears is not acceptable! Earmuffs suddenly appeared when I specifically asked for them. Will be informing my primary physician of an overall terrible experience!! Have had MRIs at other facilities and had NONE of these issues!

The nurses and staff were top rate. Received excellent care. My wife (who was not a patient) and I were both made to feel important. All questions we had were answered quickly and completely.

The ER was friendly. Admission was quick, the check-in forms are clear and simple, and they use convenient paying methods. They followed the sanitation guidelines after each patient care. They also escorted me to where i was getting my exam done. I was not left to guess what my next step of care was. OVERALL SATISFACTION.

I love this hospital. Specially I would like to say thank you for Registration and Radiology.They are awesome.

Outstanding staff. Jewel and Sue in outpatient surgery were very caring and compassionate. They represent the true core values of nursing. Dr Mizhadi was great and explained everything.

This time around they finally got my IV inserted the first time instead trying 5 times on my last procedure.

My elderly mother was admitted to ER, from her assisted living facility at Pinecrest Place, for loss of bowel control. She was 89 years old with stage 5 dementia. Largo medical is a diaper free facility, meaning if your loved one goes in with a problem in the area of loose stools, you can count on them to be lying in it, as it drips off the table onto the floor. When I brought this situation to her attending nurse's attention, she shut the curtain on my mother and walked away. It's obvious that they would rather not have to deal with the elderly from the numerous living facilities in the area. Please take your loved one elsewhere, where they will be treated as human.

Where to begin; the nurses arent doing their jobs. Barely checking in, talking loudly outside my curtain horribly about other patients. When I got my room. No blankets no NOTHING. I've mentioned im hungry could I please have some
Thing to eat completely ignored. Extremely rough with putting my IV in me. You need to reevaluate your employees.

Not even worth the star rating system. Absolutely horrible from experience. Never ever ever again will that be happening.

I have had cause to visit the facility twice in the past 10 days. I was greatly impressed with the facility, the staff and the excellent, rapid care which i was afforded. I highly recommend this facility to any and everyone

I had a back operation done my Dr Ragab on 5/5 and stayed overnight on the 4th floor I think it was room 457 I had the best people taking care of me they were awesome both the day and night shift.
I want to let you know how great these people are, nothing was too much trouble and they were so pleasant. They made it a pleasure to be there and I hope you will let them know, please show them my appreciation.
I must tell you have a very clean and friendly hospital the pre op was great they are friendly and funny.

Sitting in lobby waiting for 3 hrs with breathing issues not even a person in the lobby to show people what to do or how to sign in another that is missing a finger still waiting as long as me and a nurse told a guy that had a seizure before he cam in that it was at lease a 1 hr wait unless he had a seizure in the lobby.
..... well 30 mins after I original posted this the guy started to seize and we had to run around tho hospital looking for somebody to help the guy in the moment my gf cursed about this is why you need people in the front to help with this and we got thrown out cause my girlfriend curse in the moment so I wait 3 hr to get kicked out and not even find out what was wrong with me DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL THEY WOULD MOST LIKELY LET YOU DIE ON THE FLOOR AND WOULDN'T EVEN NOTICE -1 STAR IF I COULD

All -in -all the staff was very polite and friendly. I did have to wait for quite a while for my dexascan, but I brought a book, so it was cool. It was only a couple days before I got my mammo results which I thought was pretty quick. The phlebotomist was good at her job because I m a needle wimp. She made it easy.

Had an excellent experience. Everyone was professional and caring. Very pleased!

I love this hospital have always received excellent care. My doctors all go here so it's my choice too.

I enjoy coming into my pulmonary rehab class, the staff is friendly and helpful and the equipment is clean and easy to use. My rehab program was at the location on Indian Rocks Rd. Today I was at the location on 14th for a procedure. The staff were wonderful and took good care of me

I went to this location years ago and was met with the kindness and care you would expect from a fine E.R. I hope I don't have to go back anytime soon, most will understand. If I do I know I am in good hands. Perhaps in the future. For now I am in declining health and it looks to be sooner rather than later.

Everything was good, my father had a triple bypass cabbage doctor winton was amazing wonderful would recommend him to anyone requiring a heart procedure nurses were great rn's samantha and ashley did a wonderful job catering to my father's needs overall i would recommend this hospital to anyone in doubt

The last thing you want to do on vacation is go to the emergency room; however, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. If you're in the area and need medical attention from caring healthcare professionals, this is a nice place.

Went there before for kidney stones and had a huge bill and it changed my mind on going to hospitals because they overcharge but this time i went in for an eye apprasion and just was in there for 20 minutes and was in a little dr type office in the hospital but somehow they sent a bill for 2000 and after plan discounts its still over 1100 and not to mention i just got another bill for the dr that numbed my eye in the hospital and that bill was 900 and after discounts and deductible its over 100. So for having the smallest amount of work possibly done at a hospital its about 3000. I dont mind doing the right thing because they deserved to get paid but they ask to much which why im letting it go to collections.

The waiting time was only minutes which was great! I didn't appreciate Dr. Steele's bedside manner. I felt like I was being talked down to. I read my discharge papers once I got home which stated that I wasn't able to drive! I was SOBER and he never mentioned that I shouldn't be driving. That was pretty disappointing. My nurse was wonderful though.

They don t know what they are doing !! Couldn t fix my broken tendon in my thumb you can tell the doctors they had trying to fix my thumb was just getting out the field

Absolutely worst visit of my life. I will never be back there again. Your employees treated me like a homeless person and I am deeply upset by your discrimination. I am filing a complaint against your hospital in Florida because of your treatment.

I could not find a simple open urgent care on a Sunday. I wasn't exactly sure what was going on with me as I woke to find bite marks on my neck, arms, waist, thighs and feet and my skin was itching and burning and I had shortness of breath. So I had no choice to go to the ER. I called first but they would not tell me even if they could take my insurance. Which is bizarre. After getting there and walking in I went up to a desk and asked where I need to sign in. The man was very nice but walked me over to a machine that I had to put my drivers license in to and he had to show me how to enter all this information while I'm about to pass out from the pain. Really makes one feel that we are nothing more than a dollar sign to them. In short, the doctor said it was bed bug bites. Ok, if that was the case, which it was not as I myself and an exterminator tore my bed and apartment apart, causing all kinds of chaos with the complex manager and I'm glad it wasn't the case, but why did the Doctor say this and charge my insurance for "Rash or skin eruption" instead of bug bites ? So in short I paid out of pocket co-pay 160.00 would have been two hundred but I guess if you pay them there and then they take off forty. Hey "Lets make a Deal"! Really.. OK so far that visit cost my insurance $1,136.50 then an additional $915.00 for the Doctor to put a stethoscope and listen to my breathing. Plus my $160.00 and I'm still watching for any other post. Wow what a racked. I could see maybe 1,100 total but not over two grand. This is why our insurance rates are so high people. :( NO I AM NOT CALLING YOUR AUTO REPLY NUMBER TO THIS MESSAGE ) If they post below it'll truly show you how robotic the money machine really is.

The worst hospital experience, other than a great surgeon and medical team. There is no security and the cleaning of room bathrooms is deplorable and maintenance is needed for fixing items such as the blinds. If a family member were not asking for any service it would not happen.

Largo Medical Center has saved my life several times with Cardiac issues. Dr.M. Khrolic from The Heart Institute. Staff & Cardiac team are no doubt top grade. If you have a Medical Concern or Emergency they will professionally attend those needs. As they did me on various occasions. I owe a debt of gratitude and respect for just how spot on they have been each and every individual time. Thank you Largo Medical Center & entire Staff. I will never forget you.

WORST HOSPITAL IN PINELLAS COUNTY, THEY LEAVE PEOPLE IN ICU UNITS FOR 6 HOURS WITH NO CARE. THE OPERATING ROOMS ARE A NIGHTMARE THE OR STAFF IS MEAN, RUDE AND NASTY. THE EVS STAFF DO DRUGS ON PROPERTY , DO NOT EAT THE DONUTS THEY ARE UNCOVERED WHEN THEY ARE BROUGHT UP FROM BASEMENT . SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN, ITS A NIGHT MARE. SAVE A LIFE IT MIGHT BE YOURS

ER doctors are poorly trained. Diagnose patients with false disorders with no symptoms just to charge an admission. My idiot sister let a ER doctor diagnose my mother, who went to the hospital for chest pain, with Bronchitis with no history, no symptoms and sent her home with antibiotics.
Needless to say her primary care physician was livid. You cannot just give a asymptomatic patient antibiotics without tests, labs, mucus samples.
This doctor should be fired. Their an imbecile.

I have to acknowledge the superior care I received the four and a half days I was in their care. Not only were the medical staff knowledgeable and proficient they were also compassionate and friendly. So too were the support personnel. The maintenance and food services staff were top notch as was the quality of the food. Many thanks to the entire team. I highly recommend Largo Medical Center should the need arise

Largo Medical Center is an awesome hospital. I had the best care I have ever had in a hospital. All doctors and staff were incredible! Loved my nurses and their assistants! Food service was great with very good meals.

We took our daughter to the ER after she was injured in her soccer game. With her leg broken, we were taken straight back and seen immediately by the physician. They were very kind to my daughter and explained everything to us. We highly recommend them and will return if we ever need to. Great teamwork for sure!!!

As I'm sitting in the waiting room, there is a intake nurse taking ALL of a patients information on from of EVERYONE ELSE in the waiting room... From SSN TO MEDICAL INFO. I AM ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED! She gave all her info and to top it off, there was a homeless man sitting next to me, he was sitting in the waiting room because it was raining outside. I realized the huge mistake intake was doing and gasped and shook my head. I work in information security so it really suprised me. The man sitting next to me smiled when I told him there are no proper protocols cuz he saw me in disbelief and hurried out the door with all his luggage. He gathered all this women's information!

Took my Mom M. Joan Rollings to Dr. Brevnik office. Saw ANRP Janet ... she examined and refered to Largo Med. for additional testing. We did so and Mom was later released after numerous tests/evaluation proved no impeding issues. Now follow-up appt with Dr Brevnik
tommorrow 2pm @DiagnosticClinic.

Absolutely the worst hospital EVER. I came in by ambulance with BP in Stroke range. They dumped me into the waiting room for almost 2 hours without being seen until I left and went to another hospital. You ll die in this waiting room before receiving proper medical attention. Lots of socializing between staff but they can t be bothered to take care of patients. Never again!

Oustanding doctors and nurses! Not only did they save my husbands life the staff are carrying and considerate of the patient and the families. We again cannot say enough good things about the staff in the Cardiac Critical Cate Unit.

I would give it a 0 if is was possible. This must be the worse ER in Pinellas County. People are waiting in the waiting room for hours and not being seen. I guess people should not be going to the ER thinking it will be a fast in and out at least in this one. Be ready to wait for hours..and I mean hours. I suggest going to another ER.

I wouldn t go back here if they paid me to be their patient. I waited 8 hours for my wife to be seen, even tho she was crying in pain from a migraine almost the entire time. There were two nurses in the room when I was first screened. One got offended when my wife asked her to speak quietly because her head hurt. The other asked her if she could give her more medication, despite telling her she d already taken the maximum dose of medication. Seriously?!?! Know your meds. Even if she hadn t taken the max, it obviously didn t work.

The entire health team at Largo Medical turned a very apprehensive event into a very satisfying stay. Everyone was kind, pleasant and helpful. Kudos to all. Keep up the good work.

Just went in a few hours ago because of inflammation in my throat. Only had a basic three minute check up on the usual (blood pressure, examination of ears and throat, oxygen levels via pulse ox). I then got a prescription for a simple antibiotic. I have BCBS federal and what did this cost? $350. That was only the copay... Will be fighting this ridiculous pricing however long it takes. Otherwise the Nurse Practitioner (can't recall her name) who saw me was very nice and professional.

I was seen quickly, filled out necessary forms, had my procedure with a friendly and entertaining Physician's Assistant, and left. Entire visit took about 40 minutes. Thank you!

Te sutures doc in the E.R was a excellent doctor would did a complex suture with 12 sutures total

The ER nurses are extremely rude and condescending. They care more about making fun of the person needing medical help: refuse to explain anything to you, and make you feel like you re not worth the time. Took me putting them in their place to make them realize their behavior was unacceptable. Doctor I had was outstanding and kind.

Worst care my mother has had since being here, first horrific experience! I m glad I was there to be her advocate to help when it all went down hill! Will be taking this further.

Brutal experience. I went in for broken ribs. The triage nurse fell in her chair and put her hand out to save herself and went right into my ribs. She said " how did you break your ribs? You get into a fight?" (Are you kidding me right now) I explained then she got on a radio/walkie talkie thing and said "we have an assault victim" and EVERY RADIO IN THE AREA went off super loud, the entire floor could hear her. Then she told me she had to call the police I would have to wait. I went to get x rays and the tech had me undress myself, with broken ribs... She didn't even offer to help. They didn't have a bed for me so they stuck me in the waiting room. I walked out, with no pain management, nothing. I've never been so upset. I've had broken ribs for a month now with no doctors advice, no pain management, and it's brutal. But I would never ever go back there.

I had testing at Largo Medical Center. Everyone was very friendly, but professional. My testing was easy & fast. An explanation was given prior to testing as to what was going to happen. I felt at ease.

This was my first visit to Largo Med. and I was impressed with both the facility and the staff.

Largo medical is a terrible hospital to go to. Last year they over charge telling me I went to the hospital 3 differents dates. I only went on 2 different dates. I wouldn t recommend coming to this hospital, unless you want to be over charged.

My appointment went very smooth. I had a CT scan everyone was very thorough and helpful. I didn t like the wait for bloodwork or the system. They took two people ahead of me that got there after me. Seems should have a better system than walking people over, ringing a bell and waiting for someone to take your paperwork. Other than that was a great experience

worst hospital ever!! just like the other reviews some1 i know i wont say who but they sat in their urine cus they wouldnt help her out of bed and she need help getting out with all the iv's in her and she sat like that for over a half hour and the nurses are rude and to rough with the elderly when it comes to getting them out of bed and in bed. DONT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!

My pastor has a disabled daughter and this hospital provided the worst care ever. I was appalled by the treatment or i should say lack of. Even covered under insurance they refused to do what needed to be done.

Very caring and efficient. In by 6am and home by 10am. Felt extremely safe. Was impressed by Dr and staff doing the time out in front of me. ASU staff explained/prepared me for every step. I ve had four of these procedures in my life and this was, by far, the best experience.

Simply HORRIBLE!!!
Came in to ER some time before 7am on 01/04/2021 with extreme pain caused by kidney stones. I got in and they worked rapidly and diligently to calm my pain and discomfort. Once they controlled the pain, they took me out of the room and placed my bed on the walkway where everybody walked from outside. Paramedics came in with an elderly woman and placed her few feet from me, discussing possible covid-19 infection. There where several rooms unoccupied and cleaned ready, as far as I could see and on my eyes I could not comprehend that they would choose to put me on that kind of risk for no reason at all other than laziness or incompetence.
I could not understand that if ER was getting so busy on that they, there was not a protocol in place to protect regular ER patients from the spread of covid-19.
I was so disgusted and tried to walk away from ER to protect myself, but I was stopped at the door due the IV set up in my arm.
I had to argue to make my point across and literally I was placed in a protected and separated room in about 5 seconds after.
They need better guidance and a protocol in place to run this places. God help us all...

I went in to Largo medical via ambulance due to severe hip pain. Dr. Meagan Walsh was kind and expedient. She got me my medication more quickly than I have ever seen in an emergency room. Although, It was a first via ambulance. The x-ray technicians were kind and willing to adapt to my pain schedule. The only reason I rate this a three is the room had not been cleaned up prior to my entry. It was worn and old. That is all fine but this is COVID. I left with out fully understanding my medications and felt one was left off the list. This had nothing to do with Dr. Walsh. I will find out tomorrow on how I did on my own self medicating. Also, our hospitals are understaffed. Turning on the nurses light is futile when there is an emergency worse than yours. And most likely it was.

If you really care about the person need help and get better, DO NOT take them to this place. I can say they are kind of criminal who are backing each other up .they easily lie, gossiping behind patients and their families. They are not willing to help.
They just wanna get rid of patients as soon as possible . I took my love one to this place (I even can't call this place Hospital, because 3rd world countries hospital they treat you much better than this place and give you much more service than this place.) She was not able to go to the bathroom and shower. After she asked for help to go to the bathroom, some one came and tossed the bed pan and sheet and told her I can't do it, you have to do it with yourself . She has a broken ankle and broken shoulder. She changed the sheet and clean up .after I showed up I saw she was in pain and meanwhile she has a 45 min bed pan under herself, nobody helped her after she ask for help. She wounded badly ,but guess what? Nobody cared about her. There is a lot more I can't write it here. For writing a review I must pick the star, and unfortunately there is no negative star - - - - - ,if there was ,I would love to give - - - - - .
JUST DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE.

I had surgery on Friday 03/24/2017 and I was treated great from the start. It was supposed to be an outpatient surgery but after the surgery I needed additional help controlling the pain. They took care of me and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. This is also my second visit to this hospital I had surgery 12/23/2016 and was happy with the staff that visit as well. I guess I was blessed because I couldn't be more satisfied from admission to discharge.
