LaQuinta Inn, Auburn, IN Review

I'm currently having a family member stay here due to a past experience. I stayed at this location for 2-3 weeks while looking for a house in the area. I found the staff to be incredibly friendly, the rooms and shared areas clean, and the room layout and size to be among the best in this price range. I now recommend family and friends to use this location if I can't house them myself.

I had the worst experience here. I called to book a night and the person made it for the wrong date. When i show up on the date i requested a room for,i was told there was a mistake and the temp manager at the time was rude AND they wont offer me my $170 back for the night i didnt stay in. The worst customer service i have ever experienced. I will never go back and i am still waiting for the manager to call. Garbage hotel never go here.

Upside: Hotel is very Clean and like that it is 100% non-smoking so you don't walk into that musty smell. King size bed is super comfy and I love the pillows! (There are 5 of them!) A couple of computers in the lobby for guest use and printing services as well (.10 per page after 10 pages) All the front desk staff I have spoken with have been very friendly. Wireless Internet was super easy to connect to and is pretty fast (streaming videos had little to no problems). Good water pressure in the shower too.
Hotel is close to shopping/restaurants (walking and driving). The SuperMall and Walmart are less than a mile away.

Downside: The hotel is right next to the freeway so if traffic noise bothers you, that might be a problem but the closed window blocks most of it. The minifridge can be noisy also. There is no fan in the bathroom so everything fogs up. There are only about 10 basic tv channels and the Showtime channels had nothing good on.

Overall though, the hotel is very nice and I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed in room 413 on June 30th. The housekeeper Josephina did an amazing job, our room was very clean and comfortable.
The front desk (3 to 11 shift) staff was not very friendly, our tv wasn't working they put us on hold for 15mins said someone would be up to fix it but no one came up. I ended up fixing the tv myself, thankfully I've worked in hotels for 10 years.
Overall morning front desk staff were friendly and nice and all housekeepers I came in contact with were the friendliest. Elevators were down for maintenance but that is understandable preventative maintenance.

We really like this chain, they are always helpful and rooms so nice.

Customer service was excellent..all the staff was very helpful. Clean.. close to food.

It's a nice place to stay. Close to downtown with bars. Plenty of places to eat close by. Breakfast is decent and toreable. Weird people roam around outside at night that is the only downfall. Clean rooms, towels are nice and fresh, bedding is fresh. Pool is a bit smelly and hot tub is a little dingy and grimy with buildup with killer use of chlorine. Fyi for the hotel: that doesnt clean it. To me, it hovers between 3 and 4 stars.

The reservations for the room we got were changed by the hotel without us knowing and when we arrived they almost did not give us a room even though we showed them the email with our reservations on it. They were finally able to switch some rooms around to give us a room but we got a different room style than the one had reserved. We were traveling with our infant son so this was already difficult enough. Additionally there was no exhaust fan for the bathroom so the entire room gets very humid and wet and kinda of gross and parking gets very tight in the evening as suvs park in the compact spaces which leaves little room for backing up.

Employees here are awesome. They are always very warm and friendly. Nicole is the best! I come out here for work every few months and she is always one of the highlights of my trip when we stay here. The accommodations are nice and the rooms are a good size. It definitely lives up to its name. For those that don't know, La Quinta is Spanish for "next to a Denny's".

Nice hotel! Always clean. The best part of staying there is Nicole!!!!!! she is awesome! You need to give her a raise!!

Clean, comfortable place to stay while visiting local casino. Phones were unplugged in the room though, kinda weird. Would be rated higher if the pool.was 24 hours... It's not. Oh well.

Great hospitality and morning breakfast service! I recommend this place definitely! I do wish they had extra blankets and pillows within the room. But it was still a great place to sleep at!

This hotel worked with us when we needed two adjoining rooms. Hotel staff was amazing. Rooms were great.

My husband and myself can only say what a wonderful place this is, from the Staff to the facility itself, can't say. We stayed at this La Quinta for 3 weeks. while some damages to our home were being repaired, our little dog was with us and they made all of us feel so welcomed and taken care of.
There were always smile, warm greetings, cookies, for my husband and a treat for our dog. Nicole, Sheila and Phlilippe (spelling) were terrific, as was the whole crew, I could go on and on, but won't.

Horrible staff, the breakfast they had included was already open food, orange juice tasted like sewer water beds were so uncomfortable the couch was better to sleep on. WiFi kept going out and really slow. They do allow animals so the rooms smell like pee every time I walk in. If I could I would rate them a 0. I wouldn t recommend it at all.

I travel quite a bit for work and have stayed at other hotels in this chain. They are generally very neat and clean. Issues come up, that happens, but they resolve them without attitude or blaming their customers. This was not the case at this location. They put my party of three in a room with one bed, and then told us that is what we booked, wanted to know why we had three people, offered to walk us, and finally asked what I wanted them to do about it. The hotel was completely booked and I understood that, but maybe it would be best to not start by blaming your customer for the problem.
The toilet didn't flush in our room and I ended up sleeping on a fold-out sofa bed, all for $349. What a great deal. They did say they would discount our room, so I'll check my credit card statement to see if that actually happened.
Apart from the non-functioning toilet, the room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed looked like it would have been comfortable. I kind of wonder if they simply treat business travelers better. I will still stay at this chain in the future because this was the only negative experience I've had with one, but I'll skip this particular location.

We had the absolute WORST experience at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Auburn. After arriving at the hotel (within 2 hours) we discovered a bed bug in our room. We brought it to the attention of the front desk and they directed us to the general manager. She (Megan) provided us with the most terrible and appalling customer service we have EVER received. It is terrible enough to find a bed bug in your hotel room, then how we were treated made things absolutely worse. Megan accuses us of bringing the bed bugs with us, but we had just arrived and found more under the bed skirt. She (Megan) forced us to leave the hotel and did not provide any help or compensation for another place to stay. We are SO diasappointed with La Quinta Inn & Suites and would recommend anyone to NEVER stay at their Auburn location, specifically.

Nichol has to be the greatest, warmest, welcoming manager in history. I would come back because of how great she was.
The room I stayed in was super spacious and very homie. With the large wood doors, hard wood floor at the entryway and very clean room.
I give this place a 5, but Nichol herself makes it a 10. Keep that light shining Nichol.
P.S. If you turn off a light around her I think she'll glow from all the energy she puts off.

We stayed here Feb 21-23. It was very clean. The rooms were clean. Beds very comfortable. We brought our dog, nice dog run in back. We stayed in a accessible room the bathroom was a good size. The only thing that I noticed when taking a shower the tub was a little slippery. Should have non skid bottom. For a handicap room the bath tub should be a walk in, or have a bench that folds down for those that can't step in the tub. Also have at least one more counter to put bathroom things on, that we bring from home. I will be staying again in March.

Wish they had coffee makers in the rooms, but you can get a cup at the front desk anytime. Not wild about the breakfast, but Denny's is next door. Very convenient location.

I would love to give this place a 5 star review, because we have stayed here several times and have had generally good experiences and the property is pretty nice. However, after the way I was treated at check in today I will never book this location again. Especially if a snooty little girl like America is behind the counter again. I asked a very simple question and was treatedlike my question/request was a complete inconvenience to her (when all it required was a "sure" or "ok". ) But instead she stood there glaring at me and when I asked for confirmation that she had heard me, I got a nasty "I got it!" And then she was silent to me and mean mugging the rest of our encounter, even as she slid the room keys to me "3rd floor" was all I got. No eye contact, no nothing. She appears to be training someone or helping them maybe, but management should not want her training their staff if they plan to keep their customers. This location just lost our business, personal AND business wise.

Good place for family with pets. Breakfast option should be better though.

It's only been here for a few years easy access off and on the freeway restaurants all around in walking distance gas across the street

This hotel is fantastic! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well maintained and clean. Plus the amenities here are above and beyond. There is computer and printer access, a pool & hot tub, and free breakfast that is delish. I highly recommend this place.

I've had a couple issues on arrival time & card transaction before arrival & they were always polite & was sure to confirm my room would still be available & information that I would be checking in very late, was passed on to the next shift so there were no problems with check in...

The staff here were super friendly, and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great water pressure and warm water for days. Only negative is that our room didn't get cleaned one of the days we stayed, which was strange since we left early that day to do some sight seeing. Other than that, it was a great stay.

We have stayed there a number of times and it's always a clean room and the swimming area is always well maintained. Usually the front desk person is friendly this time however they wasn't that friendly almost gave you the feeling of being unwanted. Other then that I love the hotel and will be back to visit one day

Not my favorite LaQuinta. Had multiple phone calls late a night without voices, 2 people at different times opened our room late at night; pretty startling. Not restful and cancelled our next night. No refund for the cancel as well. Disappointed in general. The rooms were clean though.

The hotel was decent and our room was clean. The area was sketchy and I will not stay there again. The worst part was taking the kids swimming. When I got out of the hot tub my eyes were burning even thoylugh I didn't go under water. When we got back to our room i realized my suit was no longer the original color and my skin was red with bumps. They had so much chemicals in the water it stripped my suit of color and one of the kids hair dye was also stripped.

Hotel was nice but they had a dog show nearby and the elevators had dog pee in them quite often. Not their fault but still a little unfortunate for other guests.

Stayed 4 nights, loved the quiet and comfort. It was like being alone, once you shut your door the outside went away, it was that quiet. Great breakfast options, food in lobby as well for purchase at better prices than gas station store.

Great location and breakfast. My room was huge and nice if you are in town for work. There is a desk, good lighting and furniture. The bed was comfortable. A real plus was the wifi. I was in a fancy downtown Seattle hotel. The "free WiFi" was intermittent and I ended up using data.

Great place to stay. Some things to work on, but management seems very interested and willing to do so. Thanks a bunch.

Staff and Hotel are nice...free breakfast...druggies and dope dealers in the side and back parking lot. Drug paraphanalia and trash all over the place...stayed for a few days...won't go back due to the surrounding public activity.

Newer hotel with clean, comfortable rooms. A bit unorganized at front desk, as had to wait for an hour in the lobby to check in. Arrived at 3:30 p.m.

We got an apt. Room with full kitchen and could not even use it. I would imagine that even those that come in with RVs wouldn't want to bring in their dishes, pots n pans. So what's the deal having a kitchen that can't be used UNLESS a trip to store is made.
Also where's a trash can besides ba rm?
It was very clean, had a pretty good brkfst.

Excellent hotel. Really nice rooms and very friendly staff. The beds were comfy and the breakfast food was wonderful what more could you want.

Nicole is amazing!!! She was friendly and extremely helpful. She made our family feel like we were enjoying home! She went out of her way to make sure our room was clean and comfortable. She also drew us maps to the city to ensure we had a great mini vacay. She is the true meaning of service and her personality and positive wit is impactful. We have had a rough patch in the last few weeks and she treated us amazing. Words can't describe the impact Nicole had. The hotel is beautiful but Nicole made it amazing!!

I think the staff was remarkable especially going through this crisis of Covid19 . Megan and Ashley were there at every turn to be as helpful and friendly as possible as well as the rest of the staff. They were very sorry for not being able to give the full service across the board like the use of the pool and hot breakfast in the morning but made sure they could do anything within their limits they could do and always smiling and so polite. My room was comfortable and very clean. My family and me will come back here and stay anytime I intend to stay at a hotel in Auburn. I have never been treated ad well from the staff as I have been here. Really made me feel that home away from home feeling. My dog even enjoyed her stay thankyou for being pet friendly and so kind during our stay

Bad bad bad do not stay here ever. The GM is so rude the most rudest person i have ever encountered.

America is the best I always am greeted with a smile she is very professional and polite and is the reason I decided to come back thank you America and thank you la Laquita.

Right off the people were great Room was cleaning normal nothing special mattresses were old and lumpy Other then that it was fine

Great staff, great sack breakfast, coffee maker in room, great location next to a mini mart, jack in the box and a dennys. Clean and fresh smelling bedding. A 5 but the traffic noise drops it down.

Conveniently located near Hwy 18. Quick check in. Room was nice and clean and spacious. Breakfast was decent for a free breakfast.

Being dog friendly was the main reason we came to La Quinta. We didn't have to lay extra. Which was nice. The room was also really fancy compared to the price we paid. I would definitely come here again. If you have a pet, this is a good place to come and stay.

Room was large and cozy with clean fresh appearance. Bed was the right amount of soft and comfortable. Perfect for sleeping, but too soft too work in for very long. Desk chair was not very comfortable and was too low for the desk.

I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone. This isn t in the best area apparently. The people working here are super friendly. But Im not impressed by this place at all. There is someone outside my window sleeping in his car, peeing in a cup.. front desk said they would handle it but I just would never stay here again.
