Thank you for the first class service I received after my car broke down and needed to be jump started due to a flat battery. The technician was very helpful friendly and only had to wait 60 minutes. Would highly recommend lanterns. Thank you for a very smooth and efficient service....

Broke down on hard shoulder of M11 near theydon bois 1 mile away from jct 6 northbound at around 1.45pm.
Was given eta of 3pm for recovery as we had two very young children a 2yr old and a 3 yr old.
Called at 3.05pm and was told that lantern recovery he'd been sent to recover us and were looking for us between jct 6 and jct 7 on M11.
So they had to turn around and come back to get us.
A forgivable, Mistake was made by the green flag operative, who was very nice on the phone.
When I phoned the 2nd time to greenflag i was asked my exact position and also asked to give the road marker numbers.
The Lantern Recovery man (Adam) was very friendly and did an excellent job.

Disgustingly bad service left me on the side of the A3 for 4hours and continually added hour upon hour to the wait without the decency to call to update. USELESS

Absolutely waste of time and headache, I have gold cover to be told not only have to pay extra on the day of brakedown but had to pay to me to the garage I was recovered to and to pay to there base. I should of only paid for 5 extra miles ended up paying for 23 miles. Also don't explain nothing properly and left me hanging for hours on end chasing them. Pathetic.

Thanks so much Adnan for getting me home on Christmas Eve. Fixed my tyre on the hard shoulder and had me driving away within ten mins.

On the M25 just now a Lantern breakdown truck with a car on the back of it just pulled infornt of us from lane 1 into lane 2 for no reason as they weren't over taking anyone. They caused us to have to slam on our brakes to avoid crashing into it. You are meant to clean up after crashes, not cause them! It really Shook up our kids and scared them a lot.
Edit - did I get the reg number? No. I saw your company name and phone number all over the vehicle though. Have a look at your records for your vehicles on the M25 on the day I wrote the review at about 5pm,review the video of us nearly being driven I to and then you can send me an apology here.

I found lanterns customer service and all round business fantastic. Extremely helpful and understanding. And unlike other recovery companies didn't keep me hanging by the side of the road for hours. 5 star service

Came out to us fast at 1am to jump start one of our vans, beat the RAC's ETA by 5 hours. Thank you for getting us back on the road.

Awful service. Breakdown technician arrives in a clapped out old Vito, filthy inside, attempts to start our van with jump leads. Revs his own van for a good 5 mins and fails to notice smoke from our van. Caused an electrical failure to our vehicle. Cause, jump leads connected to wrong terminals!! Result, burnt wires from jump terminal to fusebox and possibly burnt out ECU.

Raised a complaint and after what seemed like an eternity they say they were not at fault. Said the issue was a pre-existing one. If so why did the technician not notice the burnt out wires? Because there was not a pre-existing issue.

Incompetant beyond belief and the technician also had the nerve to make up lies! I've questioned Lantern further, but no response.

Terrible company, do yourself a favour and stay broken down rather than have them come out to you. Perfectly good van now useless and not even the courtesy to respond.

Absolute rubbish service, after 3.5 hours on the side of the M11 the wrong size pick up truck turned up & unable to load car & caravan. Green Flag as much to blame, an absolute farce leaving passengers, car & caravan for over 4 hours without a solution in sight on the hard shoulder of an excessively busy motorway, still waiting & it's now getting dark . . . Police now getting involved . . .

5.5 hours later a suitable recovery vehicle arrived with a pleasant & knowledgeable driver (Adam) who took us to our final destination arriving at 11pm in the dark, & the caravan park access was closed so landed in night parking area. Nightmare not totally over as the caravan hitch had incurred damage during the transfer

Just witnessed the most unbelievably dangerous driving from a Lanterns vehicle on the A40 Acton/Park Royal. The driver ran a red light into incoming traffic to only then abuse the drivers he had obstructed when they were forced to slam on the breaks to avoid a collision. He remained in the road of oncoming traffic until he then decided to reverse into the paths of the cars who were now being held at a green light!. Recovery reg WN62 the passenger in my car has recorded this incident and we have reported as a traffic incident to the Met police.

Have used Lantern on a few occasions for Multiload collections from the auctions to my dealership in Hertfordshire. Have always found them very helpful and reasonably priced. Would always recommend.

poor service this firm does not collect cars recover on time said am call say 1 slot then dont turn up keep telling you their coming the contact center don't care

Lantern were unable to recover my van when I broke down. I had to leave it on the side of the road with the keys hidden in the end. And then I had to wait several days before they took it from their holding pen on to my mechanic. Poor communication, I had to chase them every day! And then they charged me a ridiculously exorbitant amount for recovery, claimed it took 14 hours when it was a 5 hour drive at 40mph. And to cap it all they damaged my van in the process. Not badly, but that's not the point, it cost me more money to get it fixed. They were simply not interested in this; their only interest was collecting the money they scammed me out of. Poor service, hidden charges and unfair business practices. Avoid this cowboy recovery company like the plague!

I feel a bit bad that I didn't catch the guy's name, but we were picked up very quickly on the side of the road. Top bloke, very friendly and efficient. Gave us a lift home and even re-parked the car for us. I can only recommend these guys

Amazing quick serice! I had my dog locked in the car whilst my baby and I were outside freezing! An amazing lady called Dawn came to our rescue armed with all her tools and a dog treat too! Who needs a knight in shining armour when you've got Dawn!!

Scumbags. You should be ashamed, at a time like this you are charging so much money for recovery and storage.
