osteen is a false teacher and preaches a watered down gospel. HE DOESNT EVEN OPEN HIS BIBLE. THIS MAN IS A MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER NOT A PREACHER. those who accept his teachings do not read their bibles and are being misleaded. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE! REPENT!

Awesome experience in God's presence. Indeed God is present in the Lakewood family. Pastor Joel, his wife Victoria, Paul Osteen, John Gray, Bowman, such wonderful people. They welcomed me into the family. Ever since, my life has been moving from glory to glory.

I love this church. God truly blessed Joel and his ministry. He was so kind to all the visitors and talked to each personally. I truly enjoyed my visit there.

A church with the largest attendance in the city doesn't necessarily mean better. Their theology is "watered down" so they will only deal with certain aspects of the Bible. They also miss out on some of the obvious components of true outreach and ministry. Find another church for worship!

This is a Holy Spirit filled place and they truly love and dont judge people on looks or race.

I was in Houston, Texas this summer in June. And it was an amazing experience God allowed me to meet with Joel Osteen... & I took a selfie with Momma Dodie and she gave me her book Healed from Cancer..Which I've read and obtained more to Bless others with her testimony... I love Lakewood & the Osteen Ministry.. You are all about JESUS and the Hope He brings to our lives and that is why God has blessed you all so much... Because of your father John and for his obedience... God has shown us your heart...God bless you all.. And I trust I may be back again next year...

People come from all over the US to experience what they see on TV. Lakewood offers an amazing worship experience that will make you sing, laugh, dance, and cry as you pray and praise the Trinity. Thanks to a special family and special group of volunteers who reach the world with The Word. You leave services surging with joy, ready to start the week, walking in His name.

Nice atmosphere and very good lighting. Ordered the chicken caesar salad and the chicken was a little overcooked and hard to chew. Salad was great. Service was ok and the waiter never refilled my water. 6/10

A church that despite being very large, knows how to welcome people. Volunteers treat us personally, not as a number. In addition to having an inspiring word, praise full of the presence of God, warm welcome and everything with great excellence

Awesome experience! Joel Osteen is genuine my family was able to meet him and shake his hand. We know he was in a rush to prepare for the next service but he still shook everyone's hand and listened with patience and attentiveness. The message was just what we needed to hear and go to another level. The music touched my heart! I will be back. Even though it is a large church it has a neighborly feel created by the great staff.

First time visitor. The praise and worship was amazing you could feel the spirit in the place. Pastor Joel brought a great message that uplifted me for the work week ahead of me. The staff was helpful my helper wanted me to sit in the front but, it was packed (good bc I would have been in awe the whole service).

Please be aware it's a long walk to the sanctuary (free), the parking deck was $2 in and out no wait except to pay.

My favorite place in this city! You can feel the love as soon as you walk into the church. I love Pastor Joel and Pastor Victoria. Every associate pastor is amazing! Worship is great and you get the full Word of God with no biased opinions!

For such a large church they do a great job at crowd control. Plenty of parking and everyone is friendly.

My son Charlie Demler met and shook hands with Joel and his wife ...He had such a great experience there...I had no doubt he would , after seeing so many of their programs...
Joel has a Gift of Communication!!!

It is even better in person. You have to get out your fear and enter a new opportunity filled with faith, love and abundance.

This is Houston's church! It's an amazing church. Very awesome.

Run, don't walk, from "churches" like this who preach a false gospel. God doesn't promise us health, wealth, and happiness as Joel Osteen would have you believe. Open your bible and learn what God's word truly says.

I have never been there but I am in debt to Joel and Victoria. I would like to try out the church but right now no money. Maybe one day I will have the money to go and watch Joel preach.

They receive you friendly from the door, they lead you kindly to your seat and have all kinds of services inside, both translation and for the disabled. Everything works excellent. It is a clean, hygienic and comfortable environment. All arranged with excellence to praise and adore God and learn from his word. When you leave there you don't do it like when you entered. You go out with God in your heart.

A place that you are always welcome no matter what you appeared, your race, or gender, is a place to find the grace of God

A great church at the service of the Great God. They are changing lives, working on the Lord's work.

I really like this church. Very focused on uplifting people and the hope of God. Very encouraging!

I think Lakewood should get one of these "Hung LED Screen" and hang it in the centre so that the members can relax and enjoy the sermons properly.

Joel Osteen has truly done it. I cannot believe how amazing this church is.

I love watching the service on Sundays and hope to worship at Lakewood Church someday. The members and visitors seem so attentive, taking notes, dressed neatly - really beautiful ways to God in His House of worship

Attended the Kanye West Sunday service and was glad I did!

Agree that Osteen's style of preaching is, well, phony. However, those attacking the church not being immediately open for the hurricane victims isn't quite accurate. There was not enough personnel or supplies there at the time to be able to accommodate that many people. They were able to get things ready much quicker than they should have been expected to do. Keep in mind, the flooding and traffic made if very difficult for their staff to get there as quickly as all you God-haters think would have been appropriate. Anything ANY big church does will always be scrutinized by the Enemy.

Visited on a Saturday evening and actually met Pastor Joel Osteen in person. Very people centred.

Love it! Great church, great members, Great Pastor.
