We came here for the Spark conference and to attend a live service. I was a bit skeptical in the past about this place and the ministers/pastors. After attending in person, however, I realize that Lakewood is a real church built by the congregation, volunteers, employees and worshipers worldwide. I think that Joel is an amazing minister and leader, but please keep in mind that he is only a small aspect of Lakewood. This church is built, sustained and thrives because of the congregation, volunteers and other great people who work here. Whether you like or dislike Joel Osteen, Lakewood is a great church filled with the kindest, most wonderful, accepting and genuine people you will ever meet anywhere. Personally, I like Joel, Victoria and the entire Osteen family, but I also understand that the congregation, volunteers and people who work at Lakewood have also played a significant role in achieving its past and continuing success.

I am really sadden to learn about the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in Houston. There are so many wonderful people who reside in Houston, regardless of whether or not they attend Lakewood Church. There appears to be a lot of negative feedback about Joel Osteen and the church being closed during these important times. I am sure the church leaders have very good reasons for their decisions. I am curious to know what John Osteen would have done under these circumstances. Would he open up part of the church to the people in need and handle things differently? God Bless Houston!

Lakewood Church is filled with friendly Believers & Seekers. The Service I attended was wonderful, full of Praise & Worship. Excellent seating, sound system & parking opportunuties abound. I miss that I don't live in Houston in order to be a Regular Attender!

Get encouraged to be and do everything we can and should be NOW....and it's FREE!...Go find that from a motivational speaker...LOL...TRY IT!!!!!

Best place to go and worship. Always free parking and as you enter right away you will feel the present of the Holy Spirit. Joel and Victoria Osteen are awesome pastors. Believe me YOU will feel right at home!

Attended Lakewood Church with family today. What an awesome experience sitting front and center in 2nd row! Had the opportunity to meet Joel and Victoria Osteen who were incredibly warm and gracious.

More of a psychological meeting, a confidence boosting talk. Not your typical idea of a church, but very great performance.

Best place to be any day of the week. There are 200 ministries to plant yourself and enjoy a brand new worship experience!

I really like going to the church every time since there is restoration in order to fix one's problems, and I take amazing notes from the pastors and have closure of what they say to me.

Will never watch another sermon or ANYTHING involving Olsten... He is a wolf in sheep's clothing... Money is the root of all evil.. I have never seen a sermon where he is teaching from the Bible... He talks, but doesn't preach...

Great church!! Joel osteen is an amazing pastor. You can feel gods presence here

Joel Osteen is a great pastor and human being. I have been following him for quite a few years (love his inspirational books also), even though I live in another Texas city. I have recently left my church because my pastor has gotten embroiled in bringing his support for our current President into the pulpit in spite of all his disgraceful shenanigans. So I have been streaming service at Lakewood the last two week. My sisters live in Houston and I'm planning on visiting Lakewood the next time I'm down there. Love the sermons, music, just everything about the church! Blessing to Pastor Joel, Victoria, their family, and the entire Lakewood Church family!

I was in Houston for a month and have had the pleasant to visit Lakewood church which I enjoyed tremendous. It was one thing on my bucket list.

You can feel the presents of JESUS SON OF GOD every time you go. Or if you don't you will before you leave.

I would love to go sometime, and with God's help I will make it because for him nothing is impossible.

The Message, the friendliness of the workers, and Pastor Joel taking the time to greet people after the service. Amazing! Pastors of large churches tend not to take time to do something that mean so much to the God's flock.

A powerful team of human beings looking for the King of Kings, I loved the love with which they receive people is the first thing that impacts you upon arrival! An excellent testimony of the existence of God, his Son and his Holy Spirit.

I have been attending Lakewood church for thirteen years and this church is Amazing. The pastors are angels. Dodi , Joel ,Victoria ,Paul,Lisa are great people!

Joel Osteen is a genius. He can inspire you because he knows God's word since he spoke to him last night. He speaks as if he is talking to the heavens, making everyone surrounding him feel "inspired." He does that because he has a mission. Which means tax evasion in order for him to feel rich in his own private mansion. That's the gospel we can believe in. And if you're not convinced enough by this nice godly figure who bought this venue that used to host professional sports, he KNOWS that Donald Trump is a good man. And if you know Trump, you know what I am talking about.

It's worth the trip to Lakewood Church. It's a wonderful experience from the time you park your car, till the end of the service.

Impressive place where they will always welcome you with a smile. Listening to the pastor gives you another perspective of the things and the capacity of each one to be able to be better with oneself. It's worth a visit. It is a real show and a spectacular presentation.

Ok, first off I would like to clarify that to my knowledge there is health screening being done by a registered nurse when you enter the church.

Secondly, there is no parking on Circle Drive unless authorize by security or Lakewood supervisors who approve parking.
Thirdly, Joel Osteen and family do not live at the church so people coming to church thinking he lives there will be sorely disappointed.

Also, you can not directly see him or anyone else without making an appointment with his staff and security before hand by email and phone. That means showing up at the church randomly asking to speak to him or others in his family is not going to work and claiming to have an appointment is not going to work either seeing security would be notified in advance of any appointments.

There are police officers who work there
daily time from time so going there looking for trouble is only going to get you into a lot of serious trouble in the long run.

The church is not a bank so coming there randomly from out of state or wherever looking for money handouts is not going to work so don t bother showing up if that s the case. It s also not a hotel so it s not a place for you crash overnight because you have no place to stay. There are other places in Houston designed for that purpose and it s not Lakewood Church.

Overall, the church is a place of worship for members and visitors. Nothing else or more.
