Lake Restoration, Inc. is a good resource not just for advice on what to use in your pond or lake but for products that treat pond weeds, muck, algae or other types of aquatic plants. I'm a regular customer who buys products for our small pond. I've never regretted any products that I've purchased. I highly recommend them. Everyone is very knowledgeable as well.

They have all the products you need to treat your pond. I have been using them for the last 3 years. I have fully gotten rid of over 70% of the cattails that had taken over our pond and gotten the hydrila under control.

the line came out harder than we expected so we contacted them because we thought is was broken, they immediately sent out new line, and then the next day we figured it out and I told them it was fine and not to send a replacement line but they did anyway, I was impressed. not there fault I couldn't figure it out, oh, and d-fence works great!!!!

Did you get your friends to write your reviews? Twice, you failed failed to ship our order and only when we called, you shipped. As a matter of fact, you lied and told me it was shipped. Your first story was it was lost, then damaged and returned and finally, we're human and we make mistakes. Why didn't you just tell the truth from the beginning to save us all this headache? Don't we tell our children to do the same? We asked for the tracking code for the first shipment (which you never sent) and you fumbled through the conversation because you didn't have one. It's been almost a month and I still don't have my shipment. Whats' interesting, is this EXACT situation happened last summer with our last order. Who is in charge of shipping? How hard can it be to keep track and ship your orders? Don't you want the business? Lastly, I would have thought you would have refunded the shipping cost or given a discount or some sort of gesture. In the meantime, my pond has out of control duckweed......thanks.

They said the chemicals wouldn t hurt my fish and now three days later all dead if I knew how to upload pictures I would. Very disappointing and my dog and cattle have been in there so now I m very concerned

I've worked with them on a Commercial Property managed by Paramount Real Estate, and Lake Restoration is really easy to work with. I like that you can talk to a person in the office typically right away about options for treatment. Have not had any issues at all in the 5 years we have used them.

Besides the attention to detail with all aspects of their work, they have done an outstanding job of controlling Eurasian Water Milfoil . The evidence of their good work is reflected in the progress we have made in containing the Eurasian Water Milfoil in our lake. They started work on Clearwater Lake in 2016 and treated 74 acres, 60 acres in 2017, and 13 acres in 2018. That significant progress is a reflection of their professionalism and their knowledge regarding the treatment of aquatic invasive species.

Application works but coverage was 20 to 30 feet of 100 feet out from shoreline permitted! Watched application to verify coverage!

These are the "before" pictures of my pond that was totally covered in Duckweed. Today it is virtually Duckweed free and crystal clear after using the "Dibrox" product. Thankful for the help and guidance.

We live on Forest Lake and have used Lake Restoration in the past on a home we use to own..then we moved and decided to use them again! Having begun Lake Restoration's services, this is the first year in many years (2019) that we have a healthy population of ducks going into late summer. The two ponds are not completely choked or smelly. When we have had questions or concerns, Lake Restoration has answered promptly, courteously and respectfully. Definitely, they are so far worth the extra cost.

Hard to see and easy to break. The thin monofilament line is nearly invisible in some conditions and as a result kids, dogs, wildlife, lawnmowers, etc. frequently crash into it. It breaks very easily, which is probably a good thing in that it reduces potential injury, but bad for the fence. It's hard to splice a break (being monofilament) and the knot tends to stick in the reel. After a few breaks I gave up and put up bright orange polyester string, which works great and is very cheap. I think they should make this product with a high-visibility fluorescent color like yellow or orange.

We've been using Lake Restoration for over 8 years now to treat the retention pond in our backyard. The entire team at LR has been great to work with. Our results vary year over year only because of the seasons and the fact that our pond is essentially city run-offs, but they are always willing to work with us to achieve the best results year over year and keep our pond and the surrounding area looking nice. We have been using this company for a number of years. They are so easy to work with and do a terrific job of applying the treatment. Easy to get a hold of and a pleasure to talk to the employees. This year was very productive. The weeds were taken care of and the water around the docks is nice and clear. No clogging the prop!!!! They make lake living so much easier. We used a different company twenty to twenty five years ago and had the worst experience. When we have questions Lake Restoration gives us clear and precise answers. Thank you all!!!

We have used your products and services at our lake cabin in Minnesota for quite a few years now and have been pleased with the results. Prior to that we had to swim amongst the weeds in our sand bottom lake. One of our neighbors used to pull his out by hand. Way too much work. We just call Lake Restoration and we are done with it. Lake Restoration has done a terrific job with our small pond. The treatments have worked beautifully to eliminate the green scum. They are very thorough and always call a day in advance to let us know about upcoming treatments. Overall we have been very happy with their services.

Two years in a row now we've had almost zero weeds growing where treatment was applied. Read the agreement carefully. It contains pricing for a single treatment when two treatments are needed.

Our lake association has used Lake Restoration to treat Eurasian milfoil for the past three years. During that time, they have reduced the amount we have needed to treat from 73 acres to 12 acres. Besides doing a spectacular job of reducing the milfoil, they have been very customer service oriented and have worked closely with us to accommodate our needs. They are very knowledgeable, efficient, and effective and I very highly recommend them for all of those reasons.

I had a severe case of Duckweed covering my pond and only clearing during strong wind storms. Years earlier I had treated the issue with another product from another company at approximately three times the cost. I ordered Dibrox from Lake Restoration and after a quick delivery of about two days, my Duckweed was gone in about seven days. The fish and turtles are fine (we are all satisfied).

This product worked very well for us. IOur lake was so clogged....we now have a beautiful lake, that we can fish.

Our Turtle Creek Homeowners Association has been using LR for 5+ years. They always treat our pond thoroughly while protecting with the wildlife. Lake restoration has been taking care of our weeds for 2 years now. When we moved in I wouldn't even let my little kids swim as the water was mucky and stagnant. Now that the weeds are gone it's an entirely new beach- fresh water, sandy bottom - couldn't be happier!

We have been using Lake Restoration since we bought our cabin on Bay Lake two years ago. They are consistently on time and on the water when scheduled. They provide notice of when water usage is safe for various applications including watering the lawn and plants and when it is safe for pets. We have been very pleased with their service and responsiveness.

Have been using LR for over 10 years and they always have done a great job. I have even forgot to mark my shore line and they remember my location. Their customer service is among the best I have dealt with. I will probably use them until I sell my lake home.

Their website is very useful, provides a lot of good info. I am pleased with their products, but I did have one experience that left a very bad taste in my mouth regarding customer service. I purchased a Tormado boat thingy. When I went to launch it, I accidentally plugged it in backwards and it fried all the works. I called them and asked what I needed to do to get it repaired and asked what cost I should expect. She told me to mail it all back, and the cost would be around $40 (plus shipping of course). She gave no "conditional statements." I had thrown away box and had difficulty finding one to fit. So I put it "on the back burner" and it was several more months before I got back around to it. When they received it, they said it WOULD HAVE BEEN $40 but I was passed the warranty period. I had never even set the boat in the water !! It ended up costing me around $300+, not much less than a brand new one. I made a good argument with management, but to no avail. PS -- You will notice that the new models have a plug-in where it is impossible to connect it backwards, so I'm assuming I wasn't the only one who made that mistake or complained about it. Bottom line... I do not tell my friends about them as a recommendation, and I would not patronize them if I knew of anyone else to use.

Lake Restoration has been a wonderful resource and without their help or pond would be unusable. Even the bass are healthier. First we took on the meal weed that completely covered the pond. After many failed efforts we discovered Lake Restoration. One recommended treatment the meal weed was gone and the knowledgeable folks at Lake Restoration helped us with the cat tails and moss too. We can recommend this company strongly enough.

Made two applications, one day apart, two weeks ago... flattened the algae out and flattened out the weeds too, pretty satisfied

Algae gone! And, lots of compliments on our see-through blue water pond.

We have a swimming hole that started to develop algae blooms and some submerged weeds. I used Cutrine Plus (granular) and blue pond dye to eradicate the algae and beautify the water. The algaecide (Cutrine Plus) immediately got rid of the algae, and it continues to be gone for six weeks now. I followed the directions on the package, and none of our trout fish died. I have severe chemical sensitivities and the Cutrine Plus and pond dye didn't affect me at all; meaning, I could swim in the pond without any problems. The pond dye made the water clear and a beautiful blue. I noticed that the submerged weeds that were developing didn't progress like they normally do. We've received many compliments on the clarity and beauty of the water in our swimming hole.

Please note: our pond/swimming hole is fed by an irrigation canal and has an exit ditch. The pond is 1/2 acre, has steep sides, and gets up to 12 feet deep. One section of the pond has a sandy shore and bottom; the rest of the pond is the original soil which is mostly rock and gravel. Because the pond has an exit ditch, loses water through the ground, and has water continually flowing into it, we use one gallon of pond dye each week. The pond dye is worth the cost; it has significantly improved the water clarity, slowed water-plant growth, and the beautiful blue color makes it very inviting to swim in!

Not happy at all. They sold me a maintenance package, Pond Restore ULTRA, and we followed it to the letter. Then when the weeds did not die they told me it was algae and not weeds. However they would be HAPPY to sell me more product to take care of the algae problem. The first package Pond Restore ULTRA was supposed to take care of everything. Weeds, silt, algae, clarity. I called them because I wanted advise from experts. I wasted a year and $260. THEY told me what to use, I did not select it myself. I had better luck at Fleet Farm with much lower cost products. They have lost my business. Don't waste your time and money.

worst experience I've ever had. They were supposed to come out to spray, and several weeks later they still had not done so. All the other companies on the lake that spray had been out weeks earlier. I called, emailed, left messages--they never responded. I asked for a manager to call me, they never did. I still have not received their services. Horrible customer service. They make you pre-pay--and then they don't take care of you.

From being greeted when we walked into the store to making a phone call with a question, we had a terrific experience! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Will certainly be recommending their business and services to any of our friends/associates with ponds or lake management needs.

The product I ordered came in a timely manner , it worked beautifully within two weeks of spraying my pond with it the duckweed was gone , not one dead fish . The water is now clear of duckweed and restored to its original beauty. Thank you for your product , it worked.

We have used Lake Restorations for the last several years on our Starry Stonewort project on Lake Koronis. We have found their work to be very good. Their applicators are very professional and flexible to changes as needed and dictated by the weather and DNR. They have been able to ramp up to a very large project, yet still respond rapidly to small projects, and especially able to adapt to management changes determined to be necessary. Our specifications, application technique, and monitoring requirements are very specific. We have a very good relationship.

LR has a Service business treating lake shore in addition to a store where you can buy chemicals. If you hire them to spray your lake shore, don't expect to get treated like a paying customer. Unfortunately, they are the only game in town, which I am sure dictates their customer last approach. There is nobody else to use so I use them. I gave up asking to talk with the owner. They just tell me he does not work with customers.

I own lake shore property and have hired them on a contracted basis to maintain my lake shore. I have used them for most of the 11 years we have lived on the lake. Unfortunately, their weed treatments have been less than 50% effective. Whenever I have called over the years to ask for a retreat because their spray did not work, they tell me I am too late to file a complaint.

LR is EXTREMELY INFLEXIBLE with their schedule. If the weeds get bad and I ask them to move up their "scheduled time" to hit the weeds before they get out of control, they ALWAYS tell me "no". THEY ARE NOT PROACTIVE TO GET AHEAD OF THE PROBLEM BEFORE IT GETS OUT OF CONTROL. NEVER in 11 years.

Last complaint: This year, I had to call the DNR when LR did not show up to treat in order to find out what happened to our permit. LR told me they never sent it and "when they called" the DNR about it, the DNR said they were not approving permit applications on our lake. When I called the DNR, they said they sent the approval letter 8 weeks earlier to LR and that all of our lake was allowed to treat. I had them copy me on a resend to LR. YOU PAY LR $40 TO MANAGE THE PERMITTING PROCESS and they clearly dropped the ball and really don't follow up with the DNR. Making it worse, LR doesn't communicate to the customer that a permit has been rejected/not received. I had to find out that information on my own.

Used them for the first time this year. My brother, property next to ours, has used them for a couple years now. Weeds are really bad on our lake. I see some progress on our treated area. I see much more progress at my brothers treated area. I m guessing it will take a couple years to have my treated area weed free. No complaints and I believe the treatment is working. Weeds are going to grow and Rush Lake is chock full of them. I have realistic expectations and know we will never be totally weed free. As long as can get my boats out without them choking up with weeds I ll be happy and continue using Lake Restoration.

After using Lake Restoration satisfactorily for years on Lake Minnetonka and getting neighbors to sign on, they totally ignored me this year. Sent an invoice for service not rendered. Phone calls were answered that someone else would call back. No call backs. Time for second treatment saw them doing neighbors but not mine. Now received a letter saying thanks for this years business and time to request permits for next year ??? New ownership???

I needed help with my pond as we were putting my house on the market. Jen and Sue were wonderful!
I got the chemicals I needed with the correct amounts, sprayed my part of the pond and my pond looked great in a few days. Sold my house in a day!

Lake Restoration requires prepayment for services. They told me they thought they could get a DNR permit approved in time to treat our lakeshore. They scheduled treatment. The permit, which they applied for about two weeks after I provided information, came through a week earlier than scheduled treatment. However, on the same day the permit came through, Lake Restoration treated our lake earlier than they'd said and did not treat our property. Did they inform us? No. In spite of the fact that they had a prepayment, they did not let us know what had happened. Two weeks later I called to find out if treatment had occurred. It had not. When I asked when they intended to inform us, Jessica, the office manager, said, "It's on someone's desk." Customer service is very poor. Once they have your money, watch to make sure you actually receive services. We have used LR in the past, but with the personnel and policies now in place, this will be our last time.

I am a new customer this year and had an opps with the order. This company responded promptly and fixed the order right away. Had another problem with the chemical boat and they are, far and away, the best customer service I've ever dealt with. Fixed the problem quickly. I will continue to be a loyal customer. Their knowledgeable and helpful, friendly staff is a huge win for this company.

We have a small pond that is the focal point of our backyard. Two years ago we hired Lake Restoation to remove the scum from the pond. They made it look so easy that we thought it might be a good idea to hire someone the next year that was a little cheeper. This was a horrible decision! We hosted our son's groom's dinner in the backyard that summer and we had scum all over the pond most of the summer. We had to pay for extra treatments that far exceeded our initial cost and the pond never looked like it did when Lake Restoration took care of it. Now, we are back with Lake Restoation for good. They bring their small boat, carry it in as not to damage the vegitation around the pond, quickly spray, and the water looks amazing the whole summer. Thank you Lake Restoration for doing the job right the first time. Sorry we left you. We won't do it again!

We initially had LR out for a small pond that needed algae control so that the small wild animals could have a clean place to live. We all enjoyed see the ducks and small animals at the pond. A handful of the neighbors decided to share in the annual expense. We chose LR because of their proximity and service reputation. They initially messed up on the billing, by billing one neighbor for everything instead of dividing it between the group. But after realizing the billing mistake, they immediately corrected it. Other than that accounting error, I would have to say that they have done great work. We'll continue to use them.

We still have weeds not as bad as last year but looking at our neighbors who did not get the treatment there's not much difference. Maybe it takes a few years of this treatment but not sure right now if it's worth the $.
