Facility is beautiful and only wish I would have an opportunity to return, but Mother's Day brunch was so bad, it simply does not warrant that opportunity. At 12:30, the only food items on the serving line were meatloaf and 4 baked potatos, some mashed potatoes and a few remnants of breakfast potatoes. Trays for fruit, a tray for barbeque brisket and other food items were empty. The containers for baked potato toppings were empty, though our server managed to scrounge sour cream and cheese. There was a line of people waiting on the one person (one burner and pan) making omelets and the one person/one wafflemaker making waffles. There were no vegetables to accompany the meatloaf, no salad and no desserts. I am giving Lago del Pino one star only because there is not a zero or less star.

Went there July 23 2016 for my Birthday had an amazing time great music the food was Awesome and my waitress was very kind and paid attention to our needs. I have no complaints great place to go and eat relax and have fun!!!!

Very limited menu. Understandable in today's pandemic world but the menu really falls short for the fantastic atmosphere and stunning outdoor views.
Ordered the top ribeye available and it was overcooked. However the meat was tender and well marbled so I chose to finish it.
Lastly, the back patio seating is really gorgeous but the mosquitoes rule the territory. Very unpleasant.
Service was exceptional in dealing with these setbacks, bringing a fan to help with some of the mosquitoes. Drinks were phenomenal!! Best part of the experience. Smokey paloma margarita is special.

Not worth the time or money to drive out here. The food is overpriced for the quality you get, the staff is rude and pushy, and the drinks are not even worth it. The only good thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere... so if you want to just go sit outside and drink some water, this this might be a place for you. But other than that, go somewhere else for dinner honestly. The appetizer we had barely had any filling in it and the flavor was not anything to rave about, we ordered a margarita each and returned both as it was mainly just sweet and sour mix and that was it. The entrees we had pretty much did not have flavor and the portion was very small for the price we paid. The server we had continued to want us to order even when we were still looking at the menu and was just rude and pushy in my opinion. This place was nice when it opened, but has since gone downhill while the prices went up. Don't waste your time here.

Great place for romantic dinner on late afternoon. Food was awesome, had the Ceviche Tostado, Le Pork Chops, and Open Faced Poblano. All came out in a timely manner. It's pretty chill until later in the evenings so 7pm was great for us. Also there was a cat named Charlie. She was super cute. Our server was great and the place was clean. Great views of the lake too!

Went to the nightclub had a great time until I checked my bank account and saw the bartender charged me $50 DOLLARS for a 7$ drink that I signed the receipt on. Would not recommend

Combination fajitas was excellent! Appetizers were enough to share.Very large portions! Beautiful place! Highly recommended!

Food here is pretty good. Unfortunately it usually takes 30 minutes for the food to get to your table so I had to minus one star for that.

Terrible disappointment for a special Mothers Day. No food on buffet, stood in line for 20 min. My mother in-law stood with cane, restaurant had only 1 waffle maker for entire restaurant, cold old food on buffet.

Fabulous out side place.once a Year I work at Tyler I take my time to have a dinner at Lago del Pink. The best time for me is on the spring or fall .

Poor service. Steak was fair. Parties on both sides were extremely noisy. Floor was extremely wet in the Men's Room. Was disappointed.

Would not recommend this place to anybody. My wife and I have tried it on 2 separate occasions. On both outings the service was very slow and inattentive. The menu is a complete train wreck. For the prices I would expect ALOT more. We tried the brunch today because it advertised a waffle bar on the website. I would compare the waffle bar to a similar breakfast experience I've had at a best western or holiday inn breakfast buffet. That seemed to be the theme for the entire brunch buffet. Food was scarce and tasteless. I tried the turkey bacon but it was the consistency of a piece of leather. Nothing was labeled and nothing was original. Just poor incarnations of traditional breakfast food. If you're looking for a good breakfast brunch on Sunday morning DO NOT go to Lago Del Pino. Tyler doesn't have very many good restaurants that aren't chain restaurants and this certainly isn't one of them.

This is definitely a diamond in the rough kinda of place. This restaurant has an incredible view of a small but very peaceful lake with a cottage on the other side in the distances. When we found this place, after a day of ziplining at the "New York, Texas ZipLine Adventures." We were refered here after ziplining, I was expecting just another place for food, but this place was 5 stars restaurant, in the middle of no where. I think the 2nd floor bar area is just spectacular with its huge view of the lake and the small cottage on the other side. The food was great and the staff was very nice.

My husband brought me here to celebrate my birthday last Thursday. The view was really nice however the floors were filthy and sticky with crumbs and food all over. The table we sat at was sticky as well and the black cloth napkins looked dirty. Since we drove all the way here we agreed to go ahead and order appetizers; queso with green chilis was like glue and tasted like cheese whiz out of the can. I ordered the grilled chicken salad with grilled pear and walnuts. The chicken was so salty that I could not eat it. I expressed my disappointment to my waitress and she told us that she could take off the appetizer from the bill but not the salad even though I was unable to eat it. The manager came by the table and asked us to give them another try one day and gave us a 25% off next meal card. Needless to say I would not come back to this establishment if they paid me.

Last night was my 3rd time going and I always enjoy myself!!! The food is good, atmosphere is nice (especially on Latin night.) The entire spot is beautiful, elegant, a place I dont mind visiting over and over. My only issue is the waitresses seem to get lost and take forever to come back and check on you. I know they are short handed, but the owners need to fix this asap. That can truly ruin a first timers experience and they won't come back. Just a little advice from a very satisfied customer!

I have not ever been to Lago del Pino, but I have TRIED. I'm not exactly sure HOW to make reservations, as calling their number gives you a recorded message, stating NOTHING about making reservations... I have been told that you can make reservations OR "walk in", but that reservations are preferred. How do you make reservations at an establishment that doesn't answer their phone??? I even sent an email asking for assistance, but received no response... Frustrated...

For a party of 8 they will bring all but 1 persons food. The 8th person will get there food about 20 minutes after. Drinks stayed empty for the hour and a half we were there.

I love love the brunch here!!! The crab cake Benedict is amazing and everyone is always nice

Came for mother's day brunch. It was so unorganized. They sat us at a table and told us our server would be right with us. After about 15 mins of nobody coming we finally got up and got ourselves mimosas. Sat back down until we finished those. Still nobody. So we finally got up to just help ourselves to the buffet. Asked one of the staff on the way in if we just get our own stuff, she said oh ya, I'll help you since nobody has. We went to the buffet and they we're out of everything!!!! Including plates. It's like they weren't ready to be this busy. The staff just seemed like a bunch of family friends that just happened to be available that day. The food when it finally came out, was really good. They had live music, a guy that looked like he just rolled out of bed and came to sing. Nice voice but we heard the same song three times while we sat there. Hope you like king of the road lol. I'm not sure they were ready for a crowd.

Way over priced food, poorly trained wat staff, lack of a qualified chef, no restaurant manager.

This is truly a one of a kind restaurant!!! Not only is the food delicious the views are to die for! They even have live music! We plan to have our daughters wedding there in November and the staff has been incredible to work with!!!!! I would give more than five stars if possible!!!!

It has turned very unupscale. Used napkins to rope off bar. Police everywhere- very odd. Not like the last time we visited at all.

That Sunday Brunch buffet, though... Total game changer. View of the lake is nice, and the restaurant itself has a fun atmosphere. Food tasted pretty good for what it costs. No complaints.

The facilities are very nice, beautiful view of the lake and lots of outside seating. Food is reasonably good. Not out of this world. We had the sopapilla cheesecake whick we don't recommend. A bit disappointed with the limited menu. Service could use improvement. Overall it was a good experience.

We went there to celebrate our anniversary and our daughter's birthday on March 17th 2019. We arrived at approximately 1130 and the buffet was in ruins. No plates, no eggs, no potatoes, no gravy, no service, 3 biscuits and little else. Whoever decided that grits should have sugar in them needs to be drawn and quartered. We got a little (very little) food and decided we could come back for more. We waited for over and hour and never saw them bring more that a couple of servings of food at a time to the buffet line. No waffles, no omelettes and pastries that rival those in a package from the Mrs. Bairds store. Then to top it off, they decided to tear down the buffet at 1:45. A full 45 minutes before it was supposed to close. I had heard great things about this place and drove over from Longview to have our celebration. Needless to say, I will not be back. Had I read all of the negative reviews before going, I would have never gone there. If this keeps up, I will be surprised if they are still in business this time next year. With all of the dining choices we have in the area, you need more than just lakeside seating to attract customers.

Oh, this was a sad experience. We had been to the restaurant about 3 years ago and enjoyed the ambiance, the views and good food. When we went in today around 11 a.m. for their brunch, we were informed that there was only one employee doing everything front if house. We were patient, and she was quite bubbly and hard-working. However it was obviously too much for one person to handle. The buffet was not remarkable (Pastries were Walmart equivalent), and there was hardly anyone at the restaurant. Even though other employees seem to show up about a half hour after we got there (Keep in mind they opened at 10), our server never seemed to get caught up, and we had to get our own silverware from an adjacent table and my coffee did not arrive until we were almost done eating. Probably will not be back.

Went there for Valentine's Day. I liked the ambiance. Service was not great. My ticket was for $96 but charges for 111 were posted to my account. Kind of confusing, especially since I left a $25 cash tip.

They've been going down hill for awhile. Messed up the reservation for our office Christmas party. Made reservation 2 weeks in advance, showed up, and we weren't on the list anywhere. Seriously under staffed. Drinks took forever and so did the food. We had sit outside in 40 degree weather so food got cold. Food was moderate quality but high priced. Not going back.

This was one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever dined in. I cannot wait to go back and eat on one of the decks outside and hear all the different music genres. During the holidays, it is decorated so festive and inviting. All the fireplaces make you feel right at home. I didn't want to leave. Excellent food, atmosphere, staff, and chef! And we had a party of about 60 or more!! Very professional, yet family welcoming!

Overall a neat experience. Very unusual menu so I ate something I've never had before. It was good and the atmosphere on the back porch was awesome!

The place is gorgeous but the food and service was an absolute mess. My steak had no flavor at all. Mac and cheese was runny, like noodles mixed with milk. Took long periods of time to get drinks. Took an hour just to get our food and there were only two other tables there at the time. Every one in our party had a complaint, mostly that there was no flavor to the food. Tortillas for fajitas were hard as cardboard. Waitress messed up three different checks, tried to tell us gratuity wasn't added but even though there was barely any ink on the receipts you could clearly read that gratuity was added automatically. I had to wait for her for 20 minutes to show up so I could tell her she didn't give me my change nor my receipt, she went to the bar grabbed $5 (not my change) handed it to me and walked off. And here I am today trying to enjoy the cheesecake I purchased for dessert I couldn't eat until now, and it has mold on the bottom of it. I got this last night from you guys. Moldy cheesecake to top off a horrible tasteless dinner brought to us by a slow thieving waitress. $55 down the drain. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. A waste of a beautiful venue. Oh and p.s. your menus are a mess. The ink didn't even print all the way on the paper menus and there's no detail of what kind of drinks, dessert, etc. You serve. Could barely read half of it. You'd think for $50 a meal per guest for subpar food you could afford atleast a menu cover and to print a beverage list!! Also the other waiter handed someone a lemon with his bare hands. Unsanitary and disrespectful.

I have no clue how this restaurant had as many people as it did because if our night's service is the norm, there's no way they should have doors to open. Service was incredibly slow, it took 15min for just water to arrive and an 1 hr 45 min for the food to arrive. I figured with it being so slow at the table that I'd just go to the bar to get my drinks, and I have nothing to say against their service which was prompt & lovely!! As for our waitress, she was abysmal. One order was the shrimp and avocado salad which arrived without avocado and so when it was requested the waitress replied "Oh, you want avocado?" Well, yes, we would like what the menu describes...nothing extra was being requested! While watching what was happening, the waitress and I briefly made eye contact and she asked "Do you have a problem?" I'll give her the benefit of the doubt trying to see if our order was delivered correctly but given the tone, common sense dictates otherwise so I just looked to the other side and ignored her caustic attitude. I had ordered the shrimp fajitas to share with a friend but when they arrived it was so paltry that I decided to just let her have it and pretend I wasn't hungry...it wasn't even a dozen shrimp, I think she managed 2.5 tacos from it. The tortillas? They were delivered wrapped in a thick napkin by hand, no tray or plate; totally unprofessional and somewhat unsanitary. Mercado Juarez serves their tortillas in a better display and they won't cost you $26. The cherry on the stupid sundae was when the checks came and when I stated that I'd like to pay for my friend I was asked "But did you eat it??" Even if I had, what would that have to do with wanting to pay the bill?! At that point I went and spoke with a manager to inform him that he needed to talk to his crew about how to talk to people and while I didn't expect any compensation, it seemed like wasted breathe. Long story short, avoid this place like the plague!! The only thing they offer is the worst service I've ever experienced and less than average food.

So they ruined my engagement party; forgot food, lack of service, the food was wrong and cold, the manager did absolutely nothing after the two hours it took to get the order out.They managed to tarnish what was going to be a wonderful memory.

Bad service just horrible. I don t even know where to begin that s how bad it was There was no host so we had to find somebody to set us down They took our drink order but we waited 30 min for our drinks to arrive yes 30mins. She gave us the drinks and we told her if we could be moved because the table we sat at was wabbley and we showed her she walked away once she moved us to a new table didn t even ask us if we were ready to put our order in or clean the dirty table that we had just gotten moved too and they did not bother to even clean it. no one had taken our main order by this time it had been 52 minutes our drinks had been finished we got up and looked around for our waiter no where to be found. But I saw the host playing around sliding on a cart for dirty dishes l. we spoke to the bartender and we told her what happened she apologized on what had happened and we just left by this time it had been an hour waiting to get our food taken we had a group of 8 ppl coming we literally called them and told them we were going to another restaurant my first time going to this restaurant my experience was horrible never will I go again it s a beautiful restaurant but There staff is unprofessional

They didn't have enough servers or kitchen staff on Easter (for obvious reasons), yet still took too many reservations/guests.Either pay for an adequate amount of servers, or be closed on Easter. It's pretty simple. The brunch food was cold and picked over. Definitely a disappointment.

The view was good.....it would be a great place for a restaurant.

Arrived at 7:55 for a 8:00 reservation on Friday. Waited till 8:15 to be seated once seated ordered scotch neat and waited 20 minutes nothing at around 8:45 waitress showed up to take order I asked where was my drink she said it was slow. 9:00 i walked to bar complained to bartender he made me a drink. At 9:20 my drink showed up just I was finishing my on I retrieved. The food finally showed up at 9:45 I ordered a ribeye and was surprised at the toughness and unedible state this high dollar chew toy was. I ordered rare and it had the ever slightest pink my friend ordered it med and it was burnt to a crisp. I walked out after almost 2 hours to eat the worst meal I ever had and it was just under $100. I forgot the potatoes and the vegetables we ice cold and I had total fear of sending back. My advice get out of food service as you fail miserably at this. I would never even give this a one star but thats as low as it goes.

Let me just say there is a beautiful blonde in charge, but her first impression stinks. We made reservations and called prior to visiting, but was told we had no reservations at arrival. There was only 2 other cars in the parking lot and such a fuss was made about where to sit. She gave excuses of big parties coming later in the day (even with a reservation). She didn't care to see to the confirmation. Had it not been for Noah our waiter such a courteous gentleman a 2 star wouldn't have been given. She needs to check her customer service skills. After the 1 hour use of the facility still no additional parties and blondie was kicked backed in a booth on her phone.....sorry for the hassle, but first impressions do matter!!!

Nice brunch buffet and mimosa/Bloody Mary bar. One of my favorite brunch places in the area.

I'm mixed on this place. The location and facility is amazing. New building with an opulant flare. Fantastic view while enjoying dinner and drinks on the patio. That is why I would go back.
As far as the food goes, I have not been a fan. Their beef fajitas were chewy and had an unremarkable flavor. I have also had their chicken tacos which were overpowered with cheese sauce and way too salty. My wife's enchiladas were flooded with cheese as well. I am looking forward to trying out the Latin dancing on Friday nights but my overwhelming opinion is they need a new chef.

We went here for my grandmother s 90th birthday. We had grandchildren drive hours in from all over the state to have dinner here and we were all excited about the fancy restaurant . When we got there the place was pretty much empty. The staff hardly acknowledge us and part of our party waited for quite a while to be seated before giving up and wondering around until they found where the rest of us were sitting. Our waiter was fine but had to be flagged down to order appetizers and then never offered a wine list. When we asked for a wine list they had to be reminded a couple of times because they oops forgot to bring it . Then the wine glasses were dirty with some sticky stuff smeared on them. They didn t clear the appetizer plates to make room for our food. When the food got there the salads all looked limp and old, one type of wilted lettuce with no dressing on them so the half of us who had ordered salads ended up sharing with the rest of us. The food all came out at different times. My grandmother s food came out at least 15 minutes after the rest of us. The food was fine. I had a filet and my husband had fajitas that were both good. Those who had chicken said it was dry but alright. No one came and offered to clear the dirty dishes or asked if we wanted dessert. So all in all the whole thing was disappointing. We will not be going here again!!

We loved our family dinner there. The food was great and so was the service. A beautiful place to relax with family and friends.

Made reservations for valentine's day and was seated promptly. My wife loved that the gave her a rose and a small box of chocolates. The service was exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant like this, amazing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was; the food was good but I really did expect better. My stake was cooked perfect rare but it just tasted like it wasn't the best cut of meat. Now that being said I would still go back and just try something different.

We visited here on a Sunday recently with a party of 7 and it was 1:35 pm. They gave us a menu that had a Brunch and other entrees as well as appetizers. The Brunch ends at 2:00 and several items were out and they did not refill. We ordered the other entree items listed, but was told they could not serve the entrees until 2:00 even though they are listed on the menu and there was nothing printed saying Brunch only. A couple in our party went ahead and got the Brunch, but was very disappointed with selection and things that should be hot (eggs, pancakes, waffels) were cold. The rest of us had to wait for 25 minutes to order. We asked to speak to the manager and was told "he is not available." Very disappointed. The waitress was very polite and did apologize.

It s such a shame that a place so beautiful can t get good management, staff, or better food. Had a reservation and the experience was a pain from start to finish beginning with trying to be seated at a table that didn t have enough chairs. It took the hostess 5 minutes to decide that she d just drag a chair from the next table over. 15 minutes before we could even get water. And don t get me wrong, this whole place had only about 8 tables with people at the time. Appetizers took 30 minutes, and food took nearly 2 hours. Had to ask for refills multiple times, and we were brought the wrong menu so had to change our order completely right about the time it should ve been hitting the table. This is the second time we ve had a negative experience (first time was food only) so we will not be back. There is no reason why management isn t letting servers know at the very least what menu to hand out especially on a day like Mothers Day. I m sure the mediocre food could be acceptable if the service was good. What a waste.

I called Lago on December 9th to book a room for my Husband's surprise birthday dinner, after speaking with an employee, by the name of Carter, I was assured that my booking was secure and they would prepare to host our party. On December 18th, the day before my scheduled event at their location, I called Lago to confirm they were expecting us. After speaking with Bridgette, another employee there, I had to give ALL of my event information to her again; apparently Carter didn't pass along the booking information. At the conclusion of our conversation, she told me "everything is good to go"! On the night of the scheduled dinner, this was a surprise dinner, I had my best friend locate Bridgette upon her arrival to Lago. Upon contact with Bridgette, she was informed that there was some sort of inside miscommunication and they were not prepared to host the party that had been scheduled TWICE! After getting the manger involved, they hurriedly got a room together, where another party was going on, just in time for me to arrive with my Husband. After getting inside and getting things started, we waiting 27 minutes just to receive water and another 16 minutes to get some menus. Our overall experience was very unpleasing, the service was terrible, and the food was even worse. It took nearly another 45 minutes to get our food. Half of our table didn't eat the food they ordered, especially the half cooked burgers. I will not be visiting this place anymore.

On the plus side, the atmosphere is acceptable.

Elegant dinning, interesting/unusual food & drink menu selections, an outstanding view & superb live music entertainment!!

First time to visit this establishment and I was amazed at everything. From service to food and cleanliness of restroom and restaurant every thing was perfect. On this particular night there was a live band and that made it even more fun!

I gave then 5 starts just because they have a pretty place and great views when ur dinning outside...but food no good.

The food is decent. You are definitely paying for the building/experience.

This place was amazing! Noah recommended the open faced poblano with prime rib hash on rice and it was great. Ask for him if you come. He hooked us up with brownie and ice cream for our daughters birthday and we walked around by the lake after we ate. What a cool setting!

Dined for the first time on 5-22; surprised that the wine prices were very high compared to other venues in Tyler area. Had a premium Chardonnay and it showed as $16 on my bill (could have been the price for 2 glasses of wine). Had the Ahi Tuna and my wife had the Jalapeno Meat Loaf. My tuna dish was very good, but my wife did not care too much for the meat loaf or the greens ..thought it would be spicier. She would have preferred some sort of chicken dish but there were no such entrees on the menu. Service by Danielle was very good and prompt. The scenery at Lago del Pino is very beautiful and makes for a regal dining experience.
The upstairs club room and bar is very nice also and has a great view of the lake and
fountains. The restaurant was very neat and clean.

Our dining companions had other dishes; the other wife had the pork chop entree and it was too salty...had to send it back. The other husband had a dish and I did not ask what he ordered, but he seemed to enjoy it. Draft beers are very good and the mixed drinks were good. Overall the experience was good, but the menu could be expanded somewhat.

Place was beautiful. Classy place. Wife and I went for Latin Night and was disappointed. Turned into any other club. Not at all what we expected.

This place has gone down hill. The food was never great, let's just get that out of the way. You go for the view, and the restaurant itself. The service here is absolutely $#&+@ terrible. It's got all the signs of a failing restaurant. Terrible service. Food that was never great to begin with is now even worse.

Don't get me wrong, there are worse places to eat, but those places only charge $1 for their hamburgers, and honestly, the service is usually better. Lol

Came here on a wed night for our anniversary. The fish Tacos were good, the street tacos were very bland. The lobster Bisque was great, the crab bruschetta was just o.k. We sat outside and we're dissapointed they wouldn't turn the lake fountain and lights on weekdays..only aweekend. Terrible loud country music. They did turn it off after the other people left. There are no heaters or fireplace during weekdays. Just ok.
