Not impressed. Food was mediocre and the staff didn't know anything about the menu or food. The owners say they're foodies but the food here doesn't reflect that. Very disappointing.

Great music and food for nice outing for dinner. Slightly older crowd, dance lovers venue
We went to the 4th of July music and fireworks. The music was good and firework show was amazing. However before we left we made our way to the lower patio where the owner was drunk and running around frantically looking for her phone. She bumped into me several times before grabing me and shaking me screaming where is my phone. I told her I didn't know who she was and she screamed at me "I'm the owner". I may never go back just for the fact that the owner would treat their patrons like that. And I suspected she may have had too much to drink. I thought surely this wasn't the owner and just some crazy drunk lady, but she looks just like the women in the family picture on their website. Overall just disappointed with the situation since she was the one causing a scene and we were the ones that were told we were going to be thrown out.
Philly cheesesteak spring rolls, live entertainment on the weekends, and the pretzel chicken sandwich are all great here. The place has become a ghost town for the most part but it still has a good menu.
We loved this place such a awesome atmosphere and the food was delicious. The live music was amazing shout out to Katie and the Vines they were wonderful will definetly be back.
Came in for a quiet drink on a Sunday afternoon sat down and waited.....and waited......and waited....then we left. Female bar tender was too busy counting out money, talking with another male employee and walking around looking for someone to even acknowledge that we set down. I am pretty tolerant if I just get acknowledged. 2nd time we have had poor customer service now. Tried to give it a second chance but wont be back for a third
Worst experience ever..
No food on brunch bar..
Cold and greasy bacon
Very expensive...not worth the trip
The service is really slow. Server didn't check on us often enough. Took forever just to get a salad and soup. Outdoor seating was nice, but bees kept trying to get in the food.
Great Location and atmosphere.
Appetizers and drinks good.
Food is disappointing and over priced.
Service it terrible.
Have tried it on several occasions and has been consistent.
Would think it would be getting better.
Such a wonderful place for such a sad experience. Ghost town, marginal food
We've been to Lago del Pino quite a few times - by ourselves, with company and family events and to a few of the events they hosted we were invited to, so this review is from a long-term, multiple visit, perspective. I don't think we will be going back, however, as each time we leave a little disappointed and wonder why we even agreed to return.
Positives:
+Great atmosphere and ambience.
+The facilities were always clean and are great for events.
+Beautiful place.
Negatives:
-Quality and consistency of the food vs. price. This is the most disappointing - We've sampled almost the entire menu, and never really were satifised with our food. You are definitely paying for the ambience. No complaints against the chefs - they are making what they're told to make and how to make it, I assume.
-Price of the food vs. quality. Some items are priced way to high for what you get.
-Inconsistent customer service. Some staff members can be douchebaggy, especially if you're party includes an attractive female. Some are just plain snobbish. There have been a few that provided A+ service.
All in all, we'll probably pass the next time we're invited.
I have had several good meals here and I absolutely love the patio but the pandemic has not been kind to this place. We arrived with reservations and there was no hostess to be found. We were eventually sat on the patio as requested but it was littered with empty beer bottles and cigarette butts. There was zero effort made on the part of any staff to wear a facemask, keep distance, etc. I worry what that means for more basic hygiene. This may pass and I will probably give it another shot but for the time being I recommend staying away.
We always love coming here. The food and atmosphere is great
A little out of the way, but very nice. The food was great and the ambiance is very nice.
Ok....so, I went back to Lago Del Pino on yesterday and can you say I was thoroughly impressed! The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. I had the shrimp and grits while my date had the jalapeno meatloaf. Both dishes were FANTASTIC!!! Thanks for a great experience! I definitely plan to come again!
Came here for brunch for my birthday. Was very excited to try it but it turned out to be a complete disappointment! Walking to the door we noticed 3 or 4 beer bottles in the lot, on the steps, on the wall, etc. That should have clued us in. The hostess was the one saving grace and the only reason I gave 2 stars vs 1. We were seated quickly but about 5 minutes in we were asked to move to another table. That was the extent of our contact with the waitress. No one took our drink order the ENTIRE time. My husband had to go request someone bring us drinks. The buffet was out of plates except the ones hidden on the bottom of the cart by our feet (gross). It was also out of chicken tenders, (all my daughter would eat so she didn't eat), butter and other condiments, and this was only 40 minutes into the brunch buffet. The Bloody Mary bar was equipped with one (all but empty) bottle of vodka. We were told that was ALL the vodka in the whole restaurant. It was barely enough for one drink! The pepper bottle on the table was empty and there was no salt anywhere. I thought I'd just ask for the condiments/spices I wanted, since they were out on the buffet and our table, but still no waitress came to our table; however, every table around us was attended... Of course, they were large parties with a guaranteed 20% gratuity. I tried to get her attention but she very blatantly ignored us (3 person table isn't the kind of tip she's looking for I guess - too bad she doesn't know what a good tipper my husband is)! I did manage to get who I believe was the Asst. Manager to bring me a coffee, which never got refilled. No surprise! As we left we asked to speak to a manager. Again, no surprise, the manager was "off doing something" at the moment. Might as well not even have a manager. And to top it all off, as we're driving away there is a pile of trash and clothes in the grass by the driveway. Disgusting. This place is not worth the drive or expense.
I went for my birthday on October 20th with a group of friends, about 8 people. It took 15 minutes to get water, 30 minutes for our appetizers and another 30-45 minutes to get our meal...only have the group got their food and the others had to wait another 20 minutes. We were there over 2 hours, mostly just waiting for our food. The food was just okay and the prices were expensive! I was very disappointed and probably wont go back.
I live in Arizona and make it a point to visit Lago del Pino every time I even get close to Tyler. I have dined there 3 times so far and thoroughly enjoy the whole "experience". Love the ambiance.. I feel the prices at Lago del Pino are not too absorbadent considering the whole experience.
In case the price complainers haven't noticed, the price of good quality food has escalated quite a bit lately. I think the food quality supercedes the expectations of most patrons.
I have also noticed their so called "slow" service... compared to say dining on a cruise ship where they hover over you and refill your glass if you take a sip... Other than that, my "service" experience has been about the same as I would get at any franchise restaurant. ie: Chili"s, Appleby's, Outback, etc, nothing exceptional but very attentative and accurate.
Just remember, You can please some of the people some of the time... You can't please all the people all the time... No matter what you do
Loved the venue itself.. we Went for mothers day brunch we have gone for 3 years now and each year it gets worse. This is our last year. The brunch was chicken strips, baked potatoes, chips, soup, eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and some sort of chicken and rice (which was good but the previous year was a salmon) and some kind of shrimp. Omletts were ordered from the table but we had to ask if they still did them. It was cheap food mostly, the exception being the vegetarian omelet was loaded and the chicken/shrimp items were good. No desserts just pastries. Total for the money in my group the moms were all disappointed and requested a new location.
Very good food! Beer was a little pricey! Definitely a special occasion visit or watch for entertainment!
Service is terrible! Brought Salads after they brought our meal, had to ask for drink refills every time we needed it. The food was fabulous, a little pricey (especially for the service you get). Very nice place!
