Our booking wasnt heard of and older waitress' response to this was not friendly or apologetic. We were three adults yet one meal was served well before the others. When other meals finally arrived, one was the wrong order! They werent keen to take it back! So i had to speak firmly. Vegetables in Vegetarian Alfredo were under cooked and there were only two types of vegetable. Young waitress kept constantly asking if we were finished!!!! To get rid of her one of us said can we take remains home? The girl returned and dumped a plastic box on the table!!!!!!!!!!!! This has never happened to us in other Melbourne restuarants. He was required to scrape it into the box himself !! In another restuarant they removed meal and returned it in the box sealed with tape and a sticker with date and heating instructions. The small older waitress with dark features did not smile and was not friendly, she dumped plates on the table and walked off. Now i find all these bad reviews about this dump on Urban Spoon. We will always check reviews in future. I will be sure to tell all my Sydney friends not to eat at La Porchetta in Carlton Melbourne or anywhere as this is the mother ship of this chain, so the others must be poor aswell. Never again. Pizzas simple. There is nothing worse then appalling service. Sack them and train better people.Zero for service. Zero for service, train them or get rid of them.

The food is really good quality. Decent pricing, the staff is very welcoming. A wide variety of meals to choose from.

Perhaps one of the best pizza restaurants in Melbourne, non-greasy authentic family owned pizza restaurant serving delicious, chewy dough based pizzas and pastas and a fantastic range of desserts and super cheap gelato options.

I come here often, super friendly customer service. The Pizza's and the salads are great, espiecially the Chicken Caesar Salad, it's simply . They've got a lot of photos on their walls of famous people and family and friends. Really good family vibes, perfect for a family dinner out.

Not too expensive, but big meals and tasting great. I especially recommend the garlic bread

Never a disappointment. The meals are cheap as well as drinks and is the most stylish la porchetta in Australia purely for its Italian decor and vibe.

Being going almost fortnightly as a meal treat without cooking dinner one night..
Thursday evening special meals offered snitizel great price n value but notice drinks went up a little..overall happy.

It's changed.. nip more photos everywhere on walls. Lost some charm and homely feel. It's just another pizza place now

My favourite pizza is still made well as it was way back when they started Staff is friendly prices are fair I'm only disappointed with the calamari as its not the same as it used to be
