Hotel is dated for the price, rooms are painted but lacking bathroom remodel. For the cost of ocean front and the fact you can lock the door to use it as entrance is silly. Breakfast buffet has to be most limited one I've ever seen. Beach is a clutter mess of chairs and limited service. 3 star hotel and service at best
Great experience. The friendly staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, even when I didn t ask for help. The room was well equipped and had a large, inviting balcony. The restaurant food was above average, and the restaurant staff took pride in their attentive service. Few restaurants are nearby, but there is no reason to search for one. The hotel is on the beach and has a number of kid-friendly pools. Self-serve parking is not available, but valet parking rates are reasonable and the service from the valet staff was incomparable.
I had very high expectations for this resort and maybe that is the reason for my dismal review.
As we pulled up to valet, there were about eight employees standing in the middle of the driveway socializing and didnt exactly move aside until another employee motioned them to the side. One of the gentlemen, Ryan, was very helpful and accompanied us to the check in counter.
Entered the lobby to check in and noticed it was renovated recently. It has a very clean, modern, and upscale feel; however, this is the only place within the resort where this is the case. The resort tower hallways are very musty. The elevator ride was reminiscent of an old, wooden roller coaster because it shook noticeably on the way down. The bathroom has a window installed in the wall that seperates the bathroom from the living area. The window did have a bermuda blind...but im still uncertain about the purpose behind the window. So dont expect much privacy. Room also has a very close up view of the parking garage next door. I have included photos of what the resort considers a "beach view".
Headed down to the bar for drinks. Bartender looked like she was at the end of her shift and unable to muster a smile. About 5 minutes later, four ladies-twenty-somethings- approached and the noise level went up immediately. They didnt order drinks but they did engage two male waiters for about 10 minutes and the vibe went from resort bar to college game day.
Over to the adult pool...or tub rather. Its tiny and there were about 80 chairs positioned around a pool that can hold about 30 adults. Pool temp was really warm. No water feature in the adult pool. The water seems stagnant. Not refreshing, and ocean is off limits because of the red tide.
Note: Red Tide is in full swing!!! Imagine our surprise when the receptionist gave us a lengthy explanation about how red tide can irritate your throat even if you arent on the beach. They were right...i cough a few times every ten minutes or so. ASK BEFORE YOU BOOK!!! They will reinforce that its not their fault...it isnt...but they wont tell you until AFTER they swipe your credit card.
Maybe i expect too much. So far, im not pleased with the experience when i consider the rate that i am paying...pictures attached...stay tuned.
Update: 5 minute shower and there is 6 inches of standing water...took about that long to drain. They have scented shower gel in the shower so if you are sensitive to fragrances, bring your own soap.
Great outside bar. Beautiful view with friendly service. Free WiFi. Great place to get some work done while enjoying a view and a good meal. Very relaxing.
This was an amazing resort! It surpassed all my expectation with how beautiful, clean, stylish, gorgeous views and incredible food! Me and my boyfriend booked a beachfront room and while checking in they upgraded us to their 13th floor, One Bedroom Beachfront Gulf Tower Suite for no extra charge! It was gorgeous and over the top with accommodations! We even ate dinner at their Baleen restaurant and once again the food was perfect. In short, La Playa Resort is the best place to be stay and be spoiled when vacationing in Naples. I m looking forward to my trip back there this summer!
Love this place! So beautiful and right on the beach
The resort was very good. I was disappointed in the parking being Valet. The employees took pictures of a gas card with their cell phones and used the remaining balance of $35 dollars. I warned my spouse not to leave it in the car because some one would probably take the cards. They didn't take the card but used a picture of the bar codes. I don't have sufficient evidence but this is the only place that the car was out of our jurisdiction. She ignored my warning so it's her fault. The resort is very good so I do recommend it. Just use common sense when leaving property unattended .
The personal of service is very nice. The location near to de beach is a plus. The room was nice. But the ceiling lamp had some dust. At nigh I saw a huge cockroach on the bed. My wife almost died. The bathroom sink was somehow dirty. In general a really good stay, we really enjoyed.
Food is ok, but I think the resort is redeemed by the great location and quality of the rooms. The view from my room was fantastic. I would stay here again.
The music sucks soooooo bad. Thankfully the steel drum guy played in the afternoons.
New place under new remodeling will be a fun place.
The place is very nice. Beautiful Beach and nice pools. Rooms nice. Ritz Naples and Ritz Golf rooms much nicer. Staff working at LaPlaya are quite snooty.
The pictures make the Hotel seem a lot nicer that what it is... The hotel was dated and no elevator! Not impressed for the price. We will stay at the Ritz next time.

We arrived yesterday and from the moment we got here, the valet attendant was amazing another guy quickly took our luggage out of the car and waited in the lobby for us to get our room. The front desk employee was very helpful and attentive. We mentioned it was our anniversary and we received a complimentary champagne bottle delivered to our room. We arrived around 2ish and at 2:30 the front desk employee called our room to make sure the room was to our liking and wished us happy anniversary. We had dinner at Baleen, wow what a treat, beautiful view very romantic and very relaxing. The server was amazing also wished us a happy anniversary, the food was delicious. We also went to the spa another treat, honestly don t hesitate to stay here. Our room was amazing we stayed at the beach house in a king beachfront. Our trip isn t over and I can t wait to continue to enjoy. Thanks to management for making our 31st Anniversary so incredible.
One of the best places in Florida. The Hotel a true Luxury. The attention is excellent.
$400 per night and they didn t even clean my room. I even called and specifically asked and they still didn t show up. Inexcusable
La Playa was the venue for my wedding this past Friday. I could not say enough about how wonderful they made the whole experience. Marcy was my planner, and she was amazing. She took care of every detail, big and small. The ceremony was perfect, and I did not have a care in the world. La Playa is a beautiful, unpretentious property with gorgeous sunsets. Thank you David for the last minute music! I can t wait to go back to Naples and enjoy all that La Playa has to offer.
1st class service. Course is in excellent shape with a good pace of play. Enjoyed it and will play again when in Naples.

Fabulous stay with our family of eight (including twin 8 month old grandsons). Staff went out of their way to attend to our many needs. Food was delicious. Looking forward to traveling back to stay at LaPlaya!

Great Hotel Daily renovated with millions of dollars worth of Renovations since the last hurricane. Much more contemporary than used to be with access on Front Road Beach. Pool side is excellent and Bayside has an excellent few also for all of you meeting rooms and Convention space.
Wonderful place to stay, lovely rooms, pools, food, staff and beach. Sea warm, beach was raked daily. Dolphins in water and Pelicans overhead. Very clean, staff very attentive, would definately recommend and return

Loved this resort, it has two pools and beach front access. The gentleman at the beach hut are extremely nice and helpful, dont forget to tip them. I will definitely be visiting again.

Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of staying at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort for our first anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were treated to valet parking, seamless delivery of our bags to our room, and a beautiful and friendly environment unsurpassed by other resorts. The large and lovely room faced the Gulf with wide sliding doors to a spacious balcony where we could sit and enjoy our morning coffee. The staff was friendly and courteous, neat, clean and extremely helpful. If we had any questions at all they would go the extra mile to be sure our needs were met. I am very choosey when it comes to beds, linens and pillows---I had a wonderful night's sleep in the comfy bed, loved the pillows and soft linens. The whirlpool tub was a treat, especially with the optional view to the Gulf. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing! I especially enjoyed the truffle fries! Thank you all for a most wonderful weekend! We will be back!

Amazing view and beautiful venue. Dinner was good, not great though. The bread was overcooked and hard throughout. Pan fried snapper was good along with the grouper ceviche but the short ribs were overcooked as well and too dry for the outer layer.
Drink menu is amazing and we loved the cocktails.
They lost a star for repeatedly rushing us. We had an early reservation and they must have booked the table too early afterwards. We ordered their prices fixe and we ate quickly but some courses were brought before the previous one was finished. Plates cleared before both of us had finished the course. The bill was brought at the same time as dessert and 2 minutes later checked it to see if a card had been added... It wasn't appropriate for a restaurant of that caliber.

We went for a wedding and it was spectacular! The views were breathtaking, the professionalism of the servers, thumbs up! Walking to the reception hall was like walking through a sensual, romantic movie scene. Very high class, high end. The food was delicious, to say the least. I have food allergies and they catered to my needs. We watched the sunset on the beach during cocktail hour. It was magical!

Very nice hotel. Rooms are a good size and with new furniture. View of the Gulf and sunsets are spectacular. Ridiculous resort fee, expensive parking and overpriced food/drinks are disappointing.
I was working as a videographer at a wedding so I did not have the chance to spend the night but the location is great and the rooms are ok. Service level varied from person to person. Overall I would recommend for a night or two
Great buffet. They seated us outside in the direct sunlight with no option for an umbrella. We had reservations and it would have been ok if they would have notified ahead of time (sunscreen, hats) but they did not... so it kind of sucked.
During season it will be BUSY!! But great place for a quick bite

We had a fantastic time at this resort. The lobby is so beautiful and the staff is super friendly. The room was very comfortable and updated. We traveled with my 13 year old son and he absolutely loved heading from the pool to the beach like that. The reastaraunt is great! We enjoyed eating here a lot. Overall, this is a great resort!
Great food. We initially had a table inside and it was so incredibly loud but were able to move outside by the beach. Beautiful views of the water. Food and drinks were wonderful. Would recommend making a reservation. Only thing that surprised us was that they weren't using straws anymore to be greener.
Just want to say what a wonderful job your staff did in every aspect from the Beach Boys to the pool Boys and service over all was great.
The front desk also was there anytime I needed them.
