I did not go to attend a show at the Mint but I walked there. The La Monnaie building still has a mysterious side to me, I liked the Place de la Monnaie quite well but, currently, I feel attacked by the violent lighting of the commercial windows. In the La Monnaie shopping gallery, there is a Decathlon Market where I would not go shopping, I would prefer to go to the Anderlecht Decathlon which offers a very large choice whereas at La Monnaie it is very limit. There is also a very large Hema on the Place de la Monnaie and this time you can find a restaurant at modest prices and many items for decoration, linens, food and among them I recommend their range of coffees: they are very good and very inexpensive.

Great opera, and with the right tickets you can go for less than 20 euros. Not the best view at that price, but you have no excuse!

Top top top, only the help for disabled people needs urgent remediation. Why do people with a roll-up have to end up in the worst places?

The opera is also known for the performance of 'De stomme van Portici', which supposedly contributed to Belgium's independence.
In later periods, the interior and the facade were updated several times. After the fire in 1855, the repairs were led by architect Poelaert.
The last major renovation dates from a few years ago (2016).

I bought the top seat for 10 and watched Pinocchio. The chandelier was beautiful. The seats were very small. Leaving on the way seems difficult. I saw some people in jeans, but I think business casual is safe.

A brilliant interpretation of Lohengrin, intelligent stage direction by Olivier Py, excellent orchestra lead by Alain Altinoglu and a remarquable performance of the Monnaie choirs, all in all superb!

A very beautiful historical room, it has hosted great artists from the world scene, from a worthy theater to a great and beautiful city like Brussels. Lately it offers more experimental installations, reinterpretations of repertoire works, alternating results.

What a wonderful pleasure to enjoy a top class opera in a cozy atmosphere of the historical currency. In the last production, the new rotating stage provided an impressive spectacle without a change of scenery.

Wonderful program every year, always innovative in addition to a friendly and warm welcome from the reception and security staff.

I have known the Mint's theater for a long time. I must say that the restoration is particularly very successful. The shows are very good taste. There was a time I had the chance to visit the annex of the Mint with all the costumes. We even had explanations about their development. It was very interesting.

Too bad it lacks trees and shaded areas on the square. This would make the place more user-friendly.

The opera house in the city of Brussels. What to say ? The building is terrible, the room magnificent ... the prices vary a lot (from 5 to 150 per place). The productions are more sophisticated than cork, less family-friendly, but suddenly we have two aspects of opera. Orchestra always on top.

Most beautiful opera house in Belgium with excellent acoustics. Architectural gem, recently renovated with completely new plumbing. However, the numbering of the seats on your ticket is so complicated that you can not hit the right seat without assistance.

Beautiful institution, beautiful shows, but unable to accommodate children eager to discover contemporary dance decently ... It is lamentable: you have the misfortune to go out of your box during the show because your child does not feel well and the Staff mandated by the management comes to blame you for getting in and out of your lodge. I regret the time of Mozart's Opera bouffe ... Today, it is a bourgeois institution much worse than a church! We put a dog that barks on stage for the artistic gesture and we do not allow your children to go to the bathroom when they feel bad while they like the show. Great no matter!

Very nice and old building. Great facilities, enough toilets for everyone. There is a obligated cloak room but you don't have to wait long for your items. Nice and kind staff. Only a bit pricey with the drinks.
