Beautiful theater. Presentation DeToverfluit: surprising, strange, strange but super!

It is a jewel of wonderful culture. A place '' like a jewelry box '', and we're in it. This form of show is, for those who appreciate, an art of the most successful. To attend at least once.

Small but trendy and very famous opera house of Brussels, known for showing operas that are less popular and almost unknown for most of the opera public.
The exterior retains the classic architecture of the building, but the interior and specially the main concert room have been renovated with a more modern touch.
Located in the downtown area, it also offers a lot of space on it's facade for public concerts and other activities like the Christmas market, using the front of the building a a stage.

We enjoyed the Hollywood (monderne) version of Le conte D 'hoffman.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

Cool venue to enjoy performances with a modern touch. Ticket prices depend on the zone but fairly accessible. Sound is great and there'll be new options for the 2019 season.

I would much prefer this place before the renovation. ... now it's a soulless place, too bad

Excellent and beautiful old opera house. Great acoustics! Offenbachs Hoffmann's Tales (12.12.2019) was a great and enjoyable performance.

A typical theater building: large and high pillars, classic and large architecture. I didn't go inside but from the outside I can see the beauty inside.

A magnificent Cosi Fan Tutti in a modern and beautiful screenplay.

We no longer present the Mint! Beautiful building. You have to go back to admire the white and black marble tiling representing a double fan and the ceiling in the shape of a triptych.

Very nice old building good atmosphere. The free introduction are great. Very cheap places for 10 euro often available. Mind you that on those often one of the 2 has (partly) view of the stage. Sound is great everywhere I think.

I have been there a few times and have never been disappointed. Only, this time, I stopped there just to contemplate the place for a photo portfolio. Superb place also often animated either by onlookers, or by activities either during the summer periods or during the Christmas holidays. Easily accessible by public transport, it is a place to see if not for its rooms, at least for its monument .

New opera enthusiast I found the welcome charming, I always had clean and comfortable places. And what about this big-room! She is beautiful with her Italian Renaissance style and her great chandelier impossible to miss.
The quality of his orchestra and his staging are absolutely beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

In these difficult times, we find at La Monnaie, a reception staff always attentive and always smiling and warm. Keep going !

it is an opera house, boasting a beautiful Italian theater (in the form of a U-shaped horseshoe) and gives the impression, at first glance, of 'a very small room. However, on closer inspection, it offers a certain "more cozy" comfort, good acoustics and a rich and neat decor, comfortable seats (they have been replaced during the restoration of the premises for the past 2 years) and varied, sought after and quality shows. It is a real Brussels gem in the center of the city!

Every first saturday of the month you can go for a visit behind the scene of this opera house that has a real stubborn but eye opening vision on how to bring opera on stage. The visit takes almost two hours and is really worth while the effort.

A very beautiful building dating from perhaps 185, great classicism, beautiful traditional room as it should be.
