The food is just okay, but it's filling, really inexpensive and our server was a sweetheart. However, someone needs to teach him the difference between salsa and cocktail sauce. I had nothing to drink my shrimp in!

Took 45 minutes to get my food and it was cold when I got it, waitress repeatedly forgot things I ordered and then started to ignore me.
The most dank restaurant in the area. large servings, cheap food, and great service. Only complaint is they are too busy!
Every time I order breakfast here I specifically request burnt/well done onions on my hashbrowns and every time I receive a pile of barely cooked onions on my potatoes. I don't understand why such a simple request can't be met.
If y'all need a lesson in burning food I'd be happy to send my mom over!

I went for lunch and got the chicken Alfredo which tasted like it had chemicals in it and it had a very strong bad odor. I decided not to finish to take it home and maybe try it the next day. Still the next day it almost smelt like gasoline and tasted awful! I got the worst stomach ache and was sick for 2 days. Later my husband, sister in law and I decided to try it again. I ordered a side salad and a burger. The salad was the saddest thing I've ever seen and the stump of the head of lettuce was at the bottom of my bowl and had dirt on it.... I was not impressed. The waitress did not seem to care much about it. After we got home all 3 of us felt nauseous and sick to our stomachs. We all felt like we got poisoned. Needless to say we will never go there again. Especially after seeing the health inspection review about an infestation of flies in the kitchen.
Drove up, intending to eat here, but noticed no one was wearing a mask, including the hostess. There is a mandate in Wisconsin but this family restaurant doesn t care. Sucks because most of their clientele appears to be elderly and we all know what that means for their chances of contracting COVID. Big yikes. Big nope.
The food is always good, as is the service. Very reasonably priced as well.
La Crosse Family Restaraunt has always been an affordable stop for breakfast (which is served all day!!!), Lunch, or dinner. Over the past few months the quality of their food has continued to increase. Everything tastes fresh, and like it was prepared in a clean kitchen. Way to go La Crosse Family!
I absolutely love this place and have been going there for years. The food is great and the coffee is delicious. I love how at home it feels when you are there. Not to mention you can eat like a king for cheap!
The hostess was not to friendly, our waiter was super friendly and helpful, the food was great and the price was cheap as well as good portions. Was also very clean.
Food was pretty decent, as we're the prices. What really sinks this place was the general atmosphere. Can't put my finger on it. It's like this place is out of the twilight zone. The people, the lighting, the decor . . .just weird and unsettling. But the meal was fine to good.
The menu has hundreds of items, food is always delivered promptly, the price is right, and the employees are always friendly. This is one of the overall best value restaurants you will find anywhere.

Wow! We stayed at the hotel next to the restaurant and decided to walk over for
dinner. My husband and I had ribs and the kids had pancakes. All was delicious, fast, and friendly.Also so well priced!

We waited 40 minutes for a table only to ask about the status and find out they weren't seating more people. No one told us. Won't be back ever.
The first couple of times we went there, the food was AH-MAZING. But this last time, the food tasted off. I'm not sure how else to describe the taste other than the word "dirty". I will always go back though, they were very nice about the service.

Good food, decent service, and a family atmosphere. This is definitely a go-to spot if you can't pick where to eat. I have been here multiple times and I always seem to have no problem going back. It can be busy at times but it is well worth the short wait.
Worst meal of my life this is unusual but after sending dinner back twice and still bad we refused the bill and walked out hungry.
With a wide range menu and often laughably low prices, this is a great place to take family for good food. The coffee is always good, topped off regularly by friendly staff. My only complaint would be that eggs are consistently overcooked here, which is a relatively minor problem.
Have great food for a great price but we wish they had more staff during the weekend because they're so busy and waiting for table can take a bit.
This review is not about the amazing food that was served, but how genuine and gracious two wonderful women that work there were to my children and myself. They were so beautiful in how they treated us, that my children even gave them hugs as we left. Many blessings for this restaurant and employees! Food is marvelous also!
It use to be amazing food. But now there's bugs in the Windows and I guess rat poo in the kitchen

The wait to place an order was ridiculous. Food comes out it was cold, not even luke warm. Server ran past us asking how food was she didn't slow down for us to answer.

Friendly and courteous staff that really hustled and wanted things to be right with the customer. Food was very reasonably priced with good portions. You can get a 10 ounce sirloin steak with many sides for about $10. I had the fried cod and it was very good. They carry many different varieties of food. Right next to the Country Inn and Suites hotel, walk over in two minutes. Would have given 5 stars but the restaurant is a little dated.

Food was wonderful. Prices were great. Service sucked. Never had anyone come back to fill coffee or waters. Had to constantly ask for refills and took forever. Was almost like they were mad for you asking and took their time.
