La Crosse Family Restaurant Review

Rustic theme, Friendly staff, very fast service for a 'sit-down' type restaurant. Recommend bringing the family out, what will make you smile are the reasonable Prices.

Pretty good the food was yummy the staff was a bit busy. I was thirsty so I was bit disappointed my water glass was always empty but overall it wasn't bad. The price for food way made up for the empty glass! $6-7 for a filling meal! If we hadn't gone during their busy time I'm sure the glass would have been plenty full.

So from outside it doesn't look like much but the minute you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome, seated immediately, we want on Friday and had the seafood special WOW the servings were big and Delicious and best of all the price was so so re seasonable, simply loved this place, will definitely stop by again when driving that way .

Prices are great for amount of food and the food tastes good

I ate here 4 times in 48 hours while on vaction. The food is excellent and you won't leave hungry. Staff is great and the prices are some of the best I have seen and I work in this industry. Highly recommend!

Prices are very reasonable and competitive, especial for quality of food, serving sizes, and visual appeal. Usually, you even get a nice bread basket with meals. In our experience...both the breakfast and lunch items are great! My husband loves the hashbrowns ("not too greasy, crunchy,etc) and the delicious, moist and fluffy pancakes! Never been disappointed yet!

It is so sorry. The bathroom is a step up from an outhouse.

This is a great place to eat. The food portions are huge. If you leave this place still hungry it your own fault. The Friday fish special is wonderful. Actually all the food is wonderful and the staff is great.

It was mother's day and we got in about 15 minutes after we got there and the food was delicious!!!

Ugh, I walked half a mile with intentions of dispelling a bad review on here. No luck. Snort hostess. Ok I'm in a hurry. Ill have the special. Chicken and spaghetti. One hour later its still cooking. Now mind you this is 530pm. Very small portion came. Then I fought 7 flies for it. Constantly. If that many are at my table how many are where the food is stored? It tasted good, well say not bad. But ill skip this one in the future. Quick trip is closer.

This was the worse restaurant experience I've ever encountered. Two families were seated about 5-10 minutes after us. They both got their drinks and order taken. My sister took my nephew to the bathroom and the waitresses were in back chatting and playing on their phones. We actually had to ask them if we could order our appetizers (keep in mind these other two families were already taken care of) Our waitress came by and said," I was told you were ready to order your appetizers?" This was the first time she even "checked" on us. Our buffalo wings were just plain wings and we received two bowls of tobacco sauce, I have NEVER had to put my own sauce on. It's like us receiving the ingredients to our dish and us making it ourselves. We also had to ask for silverware. I LOVE the breakfast, for that's the only time I ate there. Maybe it's just the night staff but I will never eat lunch or dinner there again. I am also a big tipper, I will tip $10 to a $30 meal, but this place and staff did not deserve a title tonight. I'm very disappointed.

We're visiting from out of town. Food was wonderful, service was great, price was very low. Loved it.

Food is hit or miss. Same with service. Cassie is great. Price is good bathrooms filthy.

The perfect ma and pa place to eat. You get a lot of food for a low price. Inviting atmosphere, good food, you can't go wrong with that. This is a must eat for anyone in the La Crosse area.

Greek omelet did not disappoint!!! I will be back!!!

Excellent food, and great service. The portions were large, and the price was really appropriate. Ordered a glass of orange juice that surprised me with the size of the glass. It was so tiny it probably held one orange worth of juice, but overall really good experience. Will return

This place is great! Have been there many times. Sundays they are very busy, but service and food are all ways top notch. Highly recommend them.

Large portions! Great price! Wait staff questionable. We were told that it would be 25 minutes to cook a chopped sirloin. Really? We even talked to the owner. He also stated that the "chopped" sirloin (hamburger) would take 25 minutes to cook the chopped sirloin. Needless to say we had our food in 8 minutes. Hmmmm.

Shouldn't get one star! Asked for lemonade, Apple juice, both on menu both out, machine broken. Wanted hash browns, sorry all out. Then one order came on a dirty plate. Told waitress. She said " oh that won't hurt You". Really! Then just transferred food to another plate. I complained. Waitress was annoyed made more excuses. Never got an apology. Place is not clean! First sign to leave was big spiders in entryway to restaurant. WILL never go back and will be reporting them to health dept.

It was good service. The food was good and didnt have to wait long for the food to arrive. Good price too.

My food was good, but my husband's food was cold then they took it back and put it in the microwave. The gravy was soggy and stuck together

This is one of the best restaurants for the money in all of La crosse. The burgers are tremendous. The breakfast items are very good. The pies and deserts are always available and made to perfection. The orange juice is freshly squeezed. The dining area is large so it can feel busy. The servers work hard and are pleasant.The menu is quite large.

Lots of choices.. The Veggie Beef Dumplings soup I had was delicious. The dinner I had (hot beef) was filling but bland. Real mashed taters. But still missing either butter or a touch more milk. Friend had the Spaghetti and sad it was also bland. We would eat there again.

$ 31 for three salads, entrees, and drinks.
Do not look in the refinement, here we are in the family, good and especially hearty very rich! If you go to the corner go eat a piece!

We eat out so much that I have visited many, many family style restaurant's. I found this to be one of the very best I have ever eaten at. The food here is tasty and prepared perfectly, the service is friendly, fast, and efficient. The country long cabin decor is pleasant, plenty of parking enough seating and wait staff to insure quick seating and immediate service even on Friday night's at 7 pm. Had the walleye 9.99. Perfect, and much, much better than that I paid 19.95 for at another restaurant last week. There were 5 of us, and each of us had nothing but compliments about our meals. 5/5 for causal dining

The menu has a nice selection and the food is good for the price. Our service wasn't the best, but I believe that had more to do with being busy and understaffed. It's worth checking out though.

This restaurant smelled like a nursing home. The restroom smelled like a porto potty. I was really torn if I should even eat there with this bad first impression. I did eat and rate the food a 3 out of 10. The service was the high note. They have very nice staff. Service was 8 out of 10

Watched a booth of 4 leave, they had no water, and no service. We waited 12 min, no waiters, water, coffee, nothing. We left.

I would like to start by saying the food here is great!! However, one there servers named Angie was a complete troll the last time I was there with my kids and husband. We walked into the restaurant waiting to be seated. There was two waitresses talking one in which was very sweet the other one aka Angie the troll made the remark that she didn t want to deal with kids today. She pushed us off on the other server saying she didn t want to deal with us only because we have children. I reported her and told her we should at least get an apology. We then herd Angie the troll say she didn t have time. Then I spoke with the owner she said they are really short staffed an basically excused her behavior. Not only will our family never go back to this restaurant but we also will never recommend because of Angie the troll server...

Amazing food! Huge portions, great staff! Wish this was in my hometown!! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because the chairs and floors could have been a bit cleaner, but that is likely due to the impressive amount of people they filtered through in the little bit of time we were there. Had the meat breakfast skillet with pancakes, needed 2 of me to eat it all!

They have EXCELLENT food, generous portions, very reasonable prices. The service is friendly and fast. Loved it!

Ordered here from eatstreet and they forgot half my food. They said sorry but wouldnt send the rest of my food or refund me for it. Upsetting as we spend alot of money here! Food was was ok... used to be better 2 years ago, but my kids are ok with it! Not a bad place, but just very unprofessional when comes to fixing orders that are placed through delivery apps!
