Great breakfast and nicely priced!!! We always go for breakfast!

We love this place. Great specials everyday! Thursday's are my favorite. best place in town. Great food, reasonable prices.

Great down home cooking. Clean and friendly staff.

They have really yummy breakfast food and a big selection at super affordable prices. The waitress we had was really nice. She had taken our orders quickly and we got our food pretty fast as well. The only concern I have is with their ratings online for cleanliness. Otherwise it's a great place to take a family.

Well they messed up my order entirely. I ordered the smothered chicken breast and they gave me a grilled chicken strip drowning in grease. Never got my salad either. Would not reccomend unless u love trash.

Lowest rating I've ever given. Both bathrooms filthy and smelly. Food was sub par and took a very long time to get with only about 1/4 of restaurant full. Ordered smothered chopped steak. Was over cooked on the sides and not cooked enough in the middle. The "grilled" onions were warm and soggy, but not grilled or sauteed properly. Mushrooms clearly from a can and the "Swiss cheese" was clearly Kraft singles barely melted on the top. Mashed potatoes with gravy had a funny taste, perhaps dish soap? Also, the gravy was crusted over as if it sat out on the counter for a while. Mixed veggies bland and from a can. Other people's food similarly sub par and we all got different items. Waitress was okay and staff friendly enough. I will never return because of the food and bathrooms though. They should watch a few of those disaster restaurant shows and make improvements.

Popular with an older generation and for good reason. Dishes look/taste homemade and the $ is great.

Very friendly staff just very very busy everytime we try to est in on Sundays after church.

We had breakfast. 8 am on a Saturday and we had about a 3 minute wait while they cleaned a table. The service was good and the prices were almost unbelievably low. I was Leary about ordering a steak and eggs breakfast for under $10 (includes a breakfast sized sirloin- 6-8oz?, hash browns, 2 eggs and either pancakes or Texas toast) but I took the chance. It was absolutely delicious. This place is my new breakfast spot in Lacrosse and I am excited to try lunch their someday. 4 of us ate and had drinks, none of us were able to clean our plate, and the total check was under $33!!

Nice atmosphere. My food was delicious and well priced. Our waitress was sweet and brought us extra bread when we did not even ask. Had a hungry kiddo that was happy to get a snack while we're waiting for our food. Also, I noticed alot of elderly people go there for food. I am not sure if it was a special deal day or what! Something else to mention, this was on the Monday after veterans day, so it wasn't that. Anyhow, I'd come back.

Clean and cozy. Large variety of food. If you have a group that can't decide what to eat this is your place. Friendly and attentive staff. Fast service. Good balance between sit down and fast food. Prices are great!

Food was very good. Service was good. Appearance was not as good. If you put more into that you will be busier.i believe. Our waitress was Awesome. She even brought extra ranch she knew we liked it. Lol

Typical Ma & Pa restaurant with good comfort food. Their cream of chicken soup was good & the mixed preen salad with crumbled blue cheese was fresh & dressing was tasty. Wish we went to this place for breakfast instead of our hotel we stayed at right next door.

Cheap Food and Decent Taste, Great Service

I have been to the North La Crosse location a handful of times and have always been pretty pleased with the Food and Service. I will say no matter how busy they are they try to be with you right away! Very respectful staff. Food has always been pretty good but could use more seasoning to add flavor. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and the White Gravy sauce was pretty bland and tasteless. However on other occasions the food has been super flavorful. Guess it's just whose cooking. Otherwise my times being here has been pleasant.

Rude received and seated. A friendly but embarrassed waitress with a lot of apologies for everything missing from the menu. Our food was served cold and quality was very bad.

We there at 5:30 pm and the owner said 15 min We had 5 years old and also 2 years olds kids with and he took people 4 tables ahead of us when those people came after us . Do not go in the bathroom it was gross!!!!

Prices cannot be beat. And you got a lot of food for your money. They are very busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings until 2pm. Expect to wait 15 or 20 min for a table. But they do move people in and out fast.

Soup was rather cold, like it had been sitting off for alomg time or microwaved , food tasted good but whole family was throwing up and sick after eating there

It s was alright, The water wasn t very good, the service wasn t that great. The wait for the food was about anywhere from 8-15 minutes. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. Finally what I ordered chicken strips which were 5$ for 4 BIG pieces. They were amazingly good. Very fresh and very delicious. 3.5/5.0 - Not the best, but not to shabby

Took awhile to get our food on a not so busy day . once there tho it was good. The place could use a good cleaning. Not bad on the surface but just something off. Price for quality is good!

The prices are great but the quality of the food has slowly went down hill over the last couple years. So much that this last visit was not good at all. I always order the same thing. A basic breakfast of meat and cheese omelet, hash browns and toast. This last time the omelet was ok but nothing to brag about. Hash browns were so over cooked on one side I couldn't bite into them they were so hard and so much seasoning and grease on them that I hurt my mouth.The other side was still basically raw. The toast was over cooked and ridiculously hard. So hard it hurt to chew. I won't be going there again.

It feels like this place has been in La Crosse forever. And clearly the staff know most of the regulars.

This place has very good food and is popular with the locals.

I always enjoy the home cooked food here. Service is ok. Some of the staff has been here a long time and has a good set of regular people that come in.

Have been told how great this place is. Apparently 4pm on Sat is not the time to go. All young kids working that dont seem to know what is going on. Took 30 mins to get food and 35 to get appatizer. Yeah app came out AFTER meal. Not impressed with service or food. Was charged same price for biscuit n gravy as would have been if I got the eggs with it.

Ordered a chicken dinner. Well, got a salad with it... croutons were bad. Ordered Mashed potatoes and gravy, came out cold, gravy tasted like paste. Chicken itself was fine. The waitress asked how it was, I told her. Her response was "huh!" and she walked away. Others in our group had to beg to get coffee refills. We are there every other weekend, this was by far our worst experience... however, I'm definitely going to suggest eating elsewhere. Decent size portions, but when half of the meal isn't good, it's a waste of my money. Disappointed.

The food was terrible!!! My family of 4 ate here. The coffee was cold, the French toast was cold, the salad was wet and limp. I ordered a well done steak and it came to the table red inside. The baked potato tasted old and it too was cold. By the time the waitress finally made her way back to our table my family was almost done eating so I asked her to have the kitchen make some pancakes so my family wouldn't have to wait around for me to get my steak and eat it. I was very disappointed that we mentioned to the waitress how unsatisfied we were with our food and she just said sorry and walked away and then brought us our bill. When asked by the lady at the cash register how our food was I told her not good and explained the situation. She rudely said that it wasn't their fault. I said yes it is when a person asks for a well done steak it shouldn't be red inside and the food should be served hot not cold. I asked to speak to a manager and she said I would have to come back tomorrow! Would give this restaurant a zero if I could. Will never go there again!

My family and I made a reservation to eat breakfast here but once we got there, they hadn't set up a table for us and let other customers who didn't have a reservation eat in our spot! Then they said no reservation is a guarantee. We waited half hour past our reservation time and ended up leaving. The rude hostess didn't help our frustration either. We went elsewhere and recieved much better service.

Friendly and curtious waitresses, excellent food and good prices

The owner was very rude to his customers. Yelled at my wife and mother in-law (a retired elementary school teacher who is overly sweet and nice) for stopping and chatting with some old friends. How you are treated means a lot when deciding on where to spend your money. Never again will we go to this establishment.

They don't serve grits in WI. I probably would go back.
