Kruse and Muer Roadhouse Review

Disappointed with quality and portions. For $21 i was served the thin tail portion of white fish. It was appetizer size. Vegetables were a pre bagged selection with mixed squash & broccolli (do not eat). Unable to get fresh custom mixture. Asparagus was ok. Difficult for us with special diet needs.
Had to prepare food when i got home...still hungry. Will not return.

Food chain restaurant no flavor , the place smells like sewer , poor training to the waiter sttaf, place old and decrepit , over price food, definitely not going back

Wife had the fish and chips (very greasy) I had ribs which were good. Waiter was not very attentive. Not your normal Kruse & Muer quality.

You know that when you see a place with the names Kruse and Muer on it, you are going to get great food. Unlike most of their other places, this one has a more casual feel than anything else. For that it's a little lighter on the pocket but still at a quality worthy of their other places. Each time I go to these places I change whose "side" of the menu I want. Both the steakhouse and the Seafood aspects are well balanced. You want a burger or a steak one night? Sure. You want the amazing crabcakes or the fish tacos another? Great! What's surprising is also how nice the pizza is. You won't be disappointed

We have always had a great dinner here the crab cakes are awesome , last week wasn't very good my husband s steak was over done and mine and my sister s mashed potatoes were cold so my husband had to sit and wait for them to retire his steak while watching us eat and for the amount of money you pay that is not acceptable and no one said hey let's take something off your bill but I talked to the manager the next day and she offered to buy us a steak dinner next time we come in !!

We went for Easter dinner carved beef lacked flavor they only served beef and ham I was expecting more options.

Rehearsal dinner. Tenderloin medallions excellent.

HORRIBLE Went there on Thanksgiving Turkey dinner @ $21.95 lunchmeat turkey did not even include salad or dessert so I ordered lobster and shrimp pasta pasta tasted like tomato ramen (gross) lobster undercooked tried some of the turkey and stuffing everything was terrible Banquet tv dinners are better then this if that says anything.

Our service was marginal at best. Portions are small, meals did not come out togther. They had to recook one of the entrees at their own judgement. I had not been in this location in years, and will likely not be back. We where there for our moms birthday, there was 7 in our party. They where accomidating with brining in an outside cake.

Always good. Be sure to check the seasonal specials.

Service was superior, but we felt the food was not up to the Kruse and Muer standard. The prices were less than that or Rochester Chop House, so that must be why.

Comfortable warm atmosphere, would have given a 5 star, but a little slow, they do not rush you out so maybe should be a 5 star, food is very good, not 5 star good but 4 star good. Friendly staff will take care of you.

Slightly different than their other locations in menu options, but still carry the most popular options. You can get a burger or even mac and cheese here.

Horrible beer selection, pretentious waitstaff, food was overpriced

Go to Rochester/Rochester hills locations. Food was cold and lacked Kruse expertise of other locations. 4 dishes purchased.

The food and service is always on point! The atmosphere is comfortable and feels like home.

Atmosphere was good. A little cold on the corner. Menu had a very good variety.

Unique pizza that is excellent. The rest of the food is overpriced for the quality. Kruse and Muer tries to be something its not (high end). Give me break on the weekend valet parking, what's next valet parking at a fast food joint.

Good food and service. The steak filet is one of the best there.

Great food, great atmosphere. I hope to come back again soon!

Friday is the last day before long time ago Chef Darrell make this place his own. Had the lobster fetticinni and it is still awesome as was the house salad. Sad to see them go but looking forward to Darrell's new twist in January.

Great pizza! Attentive staff, usually. We do get the occasional pokey wait staff, but overall fantastic!

I like the food and bread... Calamari and perch is good.. I never order chicken in a seafood place..I have not had a cold dish or bad meal...I wish they would update the inside it is old looking..the bathrooms are gross and dirty

Went here with five other people. It wasn't too busy. But was a Thursday night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the Swiss onion soup. also had the chicken and tortellini which I highly recommend

Always a great meal and one of the most accomadating restaurants around, especially in regards to food allergies.

One of the best meals I've had in Michigan in awhile. Their GF menu has great options. I had the Maryland Chicken with saffron sauce and my wonderful SO had the twin fillets. Both were to die for. This was my first time and his first time back in 5-6 years. We will definitely be back.

I had the seafood sizzler and it was the best. I've never had such tender scallops! Prior to the main course, I had the lobster stuffed mushrooms and those were equally amazing.

My family of five went for late lunch on Saturday. This used to be a good place, but now they don't seem to care. My Daughter ordered a salad which she never received (but we were charged for). My Wife's potatoes were cold. My fish was so over cooked it was inedible. Our server never checked on us. It was not that busy. We will not be back. There are better choices in the area.

Terrible! Had to send our food back twice because the main dish was undercook and the sides were barely warm. At the end, the sides were still just warm and the main dishes were then over cooked. The manager was barely apologetic, comped us two drinks for being there twice as long as we should have for our meal.

I'm giving it 4 stars only because I think it's a little overpriced. However, the food is great! The Rocky's pizza with shrimp and artichokes is amazing, on a light flaky crust. The seafood fettuccine is great, the provencale sauce with the tomatoes and onions makes it. Definitely will be back!

Go here for mothers day every year and the food gets worse every year.

We were extremely disappointed with our dining experience at Kruse & Muer Lake Orion tonight. We had a reservation for 12 for our grandma's birthday. We were placed upstairs at a table set for 18 with a very inexperienced server. It took 30-40 minutes to get our first drink. It almost seemed like we were put upstairs and forgotten about. We had to ask multiple times for more water, bread, and drinks. Eleven of our twelve meals were finally brought up, and I had to go find a manager 20 minutes later to inquire about my wife's meal. Her meal was luke warm at best when it did finally arrive (by the manager not our server) and she felt very uncomfortable as everyone else was almost done with their meal. The manager only joked about the issue, he couldn't even offer a simple apology. It took forever to get our bill and still received no apology or acknowledgement of all the issues. We were really excited for a nice family evening and now we (nor any of our family) have no desire to ever go back.

Sat for 20min no one came to our table with water or bread so we left.

Very disappointed in the attention to detail and the quality of service and food. After my third attempt over a year. I will no longer go to kruse and Muir of LO.

Good food! But extremely expensive, and extremely small portion I ordered shrimp and lobster pasta and ,after I left there going home i stoped at bk and got a burger

They're making one of the bussers work when the day before he had a high fever... most notorious restaurant in the high school community for students quitting or leaving after a short period of time working there, for good reason.

Nice atmosphere, professional waitstaff. I ordered the salmon salad and it was delicious. The salad was fresh, the salmon was flavorful, and had just the right amount of dressing. It was a good sized portion. I did not have soup or an appetizer, if I had I probably would not have been able to finish the salmon salad. I would absolutely recommend.

The food here & at ALL Kruse & Muer restaurants is consistently great. I can order my favorite Maryland Chicken at any of their places & be very happy. Prices are reasonable for the quality & level of service.

Wish they would better accommodate vegan and vegetarian. This area lacks such options so could be an opportunity. We had a nice happy hour. The atmosphere is very nice.

Wouldn t recommend going on a Monday night. We ve eaten here a few times and have always been pleased with our experience.
However, tonight was pretty bad. Dry, way over cooked chicken, raw potatoes and crab legs that were like rubber. Luckily the wine was good. Service was ok and staff were friendly but whoever they have cooking on Mondays needs some help. Probably won t be back.
