Good structure. The park is huge, you need luck to find all the "Big Five". You can do the safari with your own vehicle, but the experience of the guides always helps. It has spaces with restaurant and barbecue. You can even rent a bungalow inside.

Self driving in the Kruger national park is a great experience. Thanks to our guide on a half day booked tour we managed to see the missing two of the big five. - On a side note I would like to mention that I had enjoyed the abundance of wild life in the Masai Mara (Serengeti/Kenya) and the Ngorongoro Crater in Tansania more.

As a first timer to the park, I was blown away by the natural beauty! I spotted the big five. It is better to go in the winter due to the very green thick bush in summer, which makes it difficult to spot animals.

What to say, a spectacle of nature. There are few words that can describe the past experience in this nature reserve. Surely the animals are the absolute masters of these infinite spaces. I left there unforgettable moments

My fourth Safari but probably the best one I've ever had! Stayed one night inside the park, had braai and were lucky to spot all big 5 on our two days in Kruger Park. Absolutely fabulous

Definitely of the most amazing places in the world! Spent three nights there, a different camp every night (Skukuza, Satara, and Lower Sabie. We had a rental car but still jumped in on all the safaris we could since they are cheap and the drivers are super knowledgable and have an almost super human ability to spot animals! In our time there we managed to see basically every animal I could think of and all the camps exceeded my expectations. If you have to choose one camp I would pick Lower Sabie since they had the best groupings of animals around them.

Amazing.

I've never been in a more beautiful place in my life. In the Kruger Park, we can see animals in their real habitat. From a distance we observe fighting rhinoceros, hunting tigers or monkeys pecking at the nose. The abundance and diversity of fauna and flora will delight everyone. If you are going to visit South Africa, the Kruger Park is a must-see in your trip itinerary.

Kruger is amazing... it's so large and there are so many places to go. It has very diverse landscapes and has a few restaurants sprinkled in as well if you get hungry. Easy roads to navigate so no SUV required unless you want to go on some of the dirt roads.

Driving through the famous Kruger National Park you never know which animals you are going to see. You might drive (slowly)for an hour and see nothing noteworthy, then a herd of elephants will cross the road in front of you. At a water hole you might see a herd of buffalo enjoying the mud, or there might be only a couple of turtles. Be patient and learn to enjoy the small creatures as well as the large.

I have visited the Kruger National Park many times, and for me it remains one of Africa's all time best game reserves and safari destinations. Risk of malaria is low, game viewing is excellent all year round, the camps and roads are well maintained and there are various different safari options to choose from. The cheapest option is a self-drive, self-catering safari, in your own car or rental car, staying at the public camps (camping or bungalow accommodation). Another option is a guided open vehicle safari. The advantages of this option include being able to enjoy open vehicle game drives and having an expert guide to help you make the most of your safari experience. The most expensive option is staying at a private game lodge, where all meals and game drives are included in the cost.
The southern half of Kruger is best for overall game viewing, but the north is best for birding and getting away from the crowds (a more remote wilderness experience). Inside the national park, vehicles are not permitted to leave the roads. The roads are mostly in very good condition and you don't need a 4x4. Open safari vehicles are one of the most exciting ways to enjoy a game drive, because of the extra height and better visibility, plus the thrill of being out in the open.
Restaurants, camp shops and overall service is a bit hit and miss. Some camps are good, but others have some work to do to improve service levels. Bungalows are generally well maintained and cleaned and serviced daily.
From a wildlife point of view, Kruger has the largest variety of mammals of any African game park, and in my experience Kruger offers the most consistent year-round game viewing, although during the rainy season (January to March) game viewing is a bit more difficult due to the long grass. The best time to visit Kruger is from August to November. Two of my favourite camps are Lower Sabie and Satara.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It's very big and not a recommendation to go in hot season,, it gets extremely hot and unbearable making the drive unpleasant but overall a worth to go see.

I've been to this park quite a few times and it is a great place to be in the wild! It is a "hit and miss" outcome (kind of animals you see) based on several factors, primarily weather, but it is nevertheless a great experience. We've had some close calls with elephants, so one has to respect the rules. I haven't stayed in the park though I am looking forward to that time when it comes!

Lovely
