The Kruger Park is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal city life. It is peaceful and serene and it is wonderful to see the animals in their natural habitat. The guides on the tours also provide interesting information about the animals and their habits. Every day was an adventure and it was exciting to see what we could spot. Of course it is all luck and timing but the scenery itself is awesome so it was never boring driving through the Kruger.

The best place in the work to view and experience the true African experience. The park is well looked after and covers a huge area with a multitude of animal life. There are a number of great accommodation places available. the best of which is Dream of Africa Bush Lodge in Marloth Park which borders the park between the Malelane and Crocodile bridge gates (Google Dream of Africa Bish Lodge).

The only reason Kruger doesn't get five stars is due to the fact they allow publicly owned vehicles inside their park. Random people are allowed to drive around wherever they want which can cause disturbances. Maybe they should take a tip from the Serengeti and only authorize tour companies with professional guides to enter.

Took a sabbatical and stayed in every camp in the park. Made friends with the guides and had the most amazing experiences that will last me a live time. Can't wait to take my baby there one day. Please keep the animals safe so that we can show our kids and grand kids the big 5 of Africa.

The KNP is a world treasure and I will always love the place. Very concerned by park management when I see the speeding by parks employees and service contractors. Animals (and a tourist soon after my visit) are being killed.

They are in the park! All five of the big five seen within 2 days. The time of early spring was probably an advantage: only a few trees and shrubs were freshly landscaped. But the landscape looked a bit grim.

During the Boer wars, The leader of the Boer republic, Paul Kruger, fled his break away coutry with the entire nations reserves melted down into gold gold coins, called Kruger pounds. He boarded his private train car at petoria train station. From there, the gold vanishes withouy a trace. Today, there are many who seek the "Kruger millions" in and around the wildlife reserve named after him. And why not? By todays estimates, a single coin is worth over 13 million dollars.....I have done research, and the legend says that the gold was off loaded, and hidde somewhere in the modern day reserve.......
Happy hunting.

Just got back from a fabulous sundown safari. On top of the usual white rhino, elephant, multitude of antelope, elephant , hippo we were amazingly lucky to see a pack of very rare wild dogs on an Impala kill probably only 20 - 30 minutes old.

Great roads and lots of game and predators. The camps however is run down and neglected and some of the restaurants shockingly bad, especially Satara. The shops however is well stocked although expensive. Overall the park is awesome but the campsites poorly managed and not maintained.

Get in touch with the true beauty of nature in the Kruger Park. From the spectacular sunrise to the warm sunset, you will be filled with sheer excitement and awe. One minute, you're driving down a quiet road, the next, you cross paths with a herd of crossing elephants. What you may think is a path of grass, quickly turns into a napping leopard. There are many camps to stop at for a picnic, legstretch and a variety of curio shops. Altogether, a truly unforgettable experience.
